The schnitzel was okay The Champion cream sauce (which costs an extra €3.50) is ok but not worth €3.50. —> There wasn't enough sauce and unfortunately it wasn't very seasoned either. In my opinion, wine for just under €25 with a screw cap isn't worth it either. —> tasted musty, settled at the bottom of the bottle and in the glass. To the service; ———————— Unfortunately, our waitress was absolutely listless, seemed annoyed, and was unfriendly. Too bad. Conclusion; ———— You can do it, but you don't have to. If you eat here, bring a full wallet but don't expect anything special. However, you will get full :)

, the staff were very nice and accommodating, the food was very tasty, we were there with a group of around 50 people. We were accommodated in a side room, it was incredibly loud.

I chose the Wienerschnitzel dipped in oil, it is nothing more and nothing less than a frozen and industrial product that you buy at the metro in boxes of 50 pieces.. fried potatoes, frozen potatoes, vacuum-sealed salad in bags , with industrial vinaigrette in 5 liter containers, for me it's assembly cooking, nothing more. Even the beer wasn't cold enough...to be avoided.!

Brauhaus ambience with changing regional menu. Always very friendly staff and good service. The selection of dishes is somewhat limited. The quality of the food is perfectly fine, but you have to like Saarland cuisine. The fried potatoes are sometimes not completely cooked through. The price-performance ratio is quite good. Conclusion: If you are ever in Saarbrücken, the boot is worth a visit.

The food was not only very well balanced in terms of taste, but was also served in an absolutely sufficient, almost too large portion - and at a reasonable price. It's not just great chain restaurants where you can get the same things in Munich as in Hamburg or Berlin, but also traditional inns with regional specialties.

Wienerschnitzel für 26,00 Euro in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt. Beilage: Kartoffelsalat. Ebenso schlecht wie das Schnitzel.

Brauhaus in a beautiful old building, delicious food, home-brewed beer and the prices are also reasonable. The only thing to complain about is the beer supply at peak times. Be sure to reserve on the weekend!

A hearty tavern with the appropriate dishes. We wanted to eat local specialties and were not disappointed. The food was awesome. The portions were huge and yet the quality was outstanding. We were there 2 consecutive days and it was worth it. On the first visit, a dumpling filled with minced meat and a Viennese schnitzel were eaten. The dumpling, especially the filling, was super juicy. The Wiener Schnitzel was a real Wiener Schnitzel. Cranberries were served in a small glass so that everyone can decide for themselves whether the schnitzel should be eaten with or without cranberries. On the second visit we had goulash and some kind of meat soup. The goulash was perfect with the small dumplings too. The meat is cooked further in the meat soup. This was also super tender and really good. The service is super friendly and fast. We didn't have a reservation on both days and still got a table even though the restaurant was busy. Definitely recommended.

Wir wollten gerne lokale Spezialitäten essen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Essen war genial. Die Portionen waren riesig und dennoch war die Qualität herausragend. Wir waren dort an 2 aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen und es hat sich gelohnt. Beim ersten Besuch wurde ein mit Hackfleisch gefüllter Knödel sowie ein Wiener Schnitzel verspeist. Der Knödel besonders die Füllung waren super saftig. Das Wiener Schnitzel war ein echtes Wiener Schnitzel. Preiselbeeren gab es in einem kleinen Glas dazu sodass sich jeder selbst entscheiden kann ob das Schnitzel mit oder ohne Preiselbeeren verzehrt werden soll. Beim zweiten Besuch gabs Gulasch und eine Art Fleischsuppe. Das Gulasch war perfekt auch mit den kleinen Knödeln. In der Fleischsuppe ist das Fleisch noch weiter gegart. Auch das war super zart und wirklich gut. Der Service ist super freundlich und schnell. Wir hatten beide Tage nicht reserviert und haben trotzdem einen Tisch bekommen obwohl das Lokal gut besucht war. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

The food is good but the portions get smaller with each visit. To fill up a normal-sized adult, you need two portions of almost every dish. And at the current prices, this is more than just a rip-off.

Very attractively renovated. The food was rich and delicious. And as expected at the brewery, the beer was tasty and drinkable.

We went to eat there for the second time today! Why? Because the first time was great! About 1 year ago... Ate beef soup with marrow dumplings today...12.90 euros...sporty! Then a salad with Lyonnais and fried potatoes! A curry meatball with fries and salad! Both ok... The menu said you could have water and an espresso for lunch for 2 euros more! O Ton Service person" you have to order it straight away.....sometimes I tell the guests...not today"....the system won't accept subsequent bookings! Pure disappointment......unfortunately Greetings from Rockenhausen......took the journey especially for us......

Hotspot in the old town. Of course there's a lot going on on Saturday evening. Still, the service was good and the food for our group came in a reasonable time. Conclusion: we would go there again!

Before going to the theater, a suitable quiet location with very tasty food. We had time in mind, but the food was of great quality and served quickly. The facility is very comfortable.

Uriges Lokal; sehr nette Bedienung; ausgesprochen schlechtes Essen! – Schade Der „Gefüllte“ war gar nicht nach meinem Geschmack, fad gewürzt, völlig, deftig, mächtig …aber vielleicht schmeckt der anderen?! Das Sauerkraut war wirklich schlecht! Die Leberknödel waren geschmacklich ganz gut. Keine Weiterempfehlung. Leider.

I ate here after a long 31 hours of traveling. It was a good decision. I ordered the original wienerschnitzel (served with cranberries and potato salad), and a green salad, along with a radler. I found the schnitzel to be properly seasoned - not too salty but not bland, and excellently paired with the cranberries. I normally don’t like fruit and meat combinations but this works well. Green salad was fresh. The potato salad has a vinegar/mustsrd base which I found delicious. I’ve been to German restaurants in America - owned and run with real Germans, but I’ve found them to serve bland schnitzel and they sweeten their potato salad too much. Maybe they are trying to cater to American “tastes” with the sweetness perhaps, or they are from another region of Germany that does that. Also I’ve had some with caraway in it, which is not my preference. Being “Pennsylvania German” incorrectly AKA as “Pennsylvania Dutch”, my Swiss-German roots tend to lean to this style of potato salad, and it was similar in flavor profile to what I grew up eating. Service was relatively quick too. After a long travel day, plus 14 years of not being in Germany and not speaking much German, I was a little embarrassed that I couldn’t quite muster up the language as well as I was hoping. The waitress knew English so at least I didn’t need to butcher the language more than I already had. Anyway, I’d definitely go back to this establishment.

Great restaurant, authentic home-style cuisine with modern elements. Had the beef soup and fried chicken breast, my colleagues had beef tartare and 'filled' (toilets filled with minced meat), the pretzels were better than in Bavaria. Everything was great, clear recommendation. Thanks!

If you like breweries, you will like it here too. The rooms are all nicely divided so that things don't get crowded in one place + there is a beer garden. Service was very nice and relaxed, and also told me a bit about the beer. There is our own Pilsner and Weizen, the other varieties are from other suppliers. The schnitzel was very tasty, seemed to be homemade, and for €15.90 it was a good price

Essen wurde trotz viel Betrieb schnell geliefert, war sehr lecker, wir waren fünf Leute, jedem hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Preis/Leistung passt. Kommen sicher wieder.

Ich habe reserviert war letztes Jahr schon da komme immer wieder aus dem Allgäu in meine Heimat und freue mich saarländisch essen zu können , ich wollte mich sehr gerne mit meiner Familie unterhalten dies war aber nicht möglich da angetrunkene Männer so laut geschrien haben das man sich nicht unterhalten kann . Ich bin selber Koch und arbeite seit 15 Jahren in der Gastronomie, es ist ok wenn man so etwas anbietet für Männer am selbstzapf Tisch dann sollte man diese separieren da wenn ich 160 Euro bezahle für essen in der heutigen Zeit möchte ich mich unterhalten können . Wir wollten noch ein Dessert essen aber da das so laut und für uns so nicht auszuhalten war haben wir dann an einer Eisdiele unser Dessert gegessen . Denn wo ich oben auf das wc bin , wäre noch was frei gewesen wo es ruhiger war . Wir kommen jedes Jahr wenn ich unten bin am , dieses wird aber das letzte Mal gewesen sein für uns .für rumgeschreihe Betrunkener Gäste zahle ich nicht mein Geld . Essen war super das Gebrülle lädt nicht zum Essen ein.

Einmal und nie wieder Die Speisen sind alle Mikrowellen zubereitet, die Speisen kommen aus einer Großküche,saarbrücker gefüllte (komme selbst aus einer Gastronomie) Waren ca,3tage alt ,nicht geniessbar ganz zu schweigen von der Speckrahmsauce mit Sauerkraut, das panierte schnitzel eine Katastrophe, die sogenannten BRATKARTOFFELN Waren aufgewärmten Ecken und von den PREISEN ...Fazit wer da noch mal speist, der FRIST alles.

Cuisine simple mais bien exécutée et copieuse. Nous avons été agréablement surpris. Le cadre et le service y sont également très agréables. Quel bémol, le niveau sonore. Mais nous y reviendrons sans avec grand plaisir.

We were there at 1:45 p.m. with three people on a Wednesday The menu wasn't that nice, there was hardly any brewery food on the menu, things like sausage salad, beef salad, Schwenker, Lyoner salad, or Lyoner Pfanne were missing. We are not in Bavaria but in Saarland. Wanted small beer, got 1/2 glass of house beer in a 0.5 glass tankard, tasted stale, a no go... There was little choice on the menu and far too expensive, the food was dry and roasted potatoes from the deep fryer. I didn't want to eat rump steak. Upon request. Filled dumplings 19.50 exorbitant price Not even homemade yet. But from sponge finished?! 3 people 100.00 euros for 3 meals Nobody sees me there anymore... Food wasn't made with love and there wasn't enough sauce, reordering costs extra.

Wir waren zu dritt dort (Ehefrau, Kind, ich). Zum Salat gab es genau zwei (!) Brotschnitten, beide schon leicht angetrocknet. Die Servicekraft sah unsere Gesichter und sagte, wir können jederzeit noch Brot nachbestellen. Zum Schnitzel (trocken, vorbereitet) durften wir NICHT die Beilage ändern (von Bratkartoffeln auf Pommes Frittes). Das gehe nicht mehr. Alle Gerichte müssten wie auf der Karte bestellt werden, weil die Küche diese genauso vorbereite (!). Ach so, die drei Brotscheiben, die wir nachbestellten, wurde mit je 0,50 Euro in Rechnung gestellt.

Absolutely no one who used to enjoy coming here still visits the inn today. The renovation alone was a disaster. In addition, there is the bad (and above all damn expensive) beer, the expensive food, which is mostly convenience food, the counter that is far too narrow and small and the unprofessional staff. All in all, it's a shame what has become of this heart of Saarbrücken brewery culture!
