The interior is as you'd expect from a brewery. The beer itself—Stiefel Original—was delicious. The largest beer was also very tasty and, above all, filling, and at a fair price. The service was also very friendly and helpful, and despite the full house, they were still able to find a private seat.

I can absolutely recommend it, both for food and drink. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere is just right for a brewery. The food was very good. Everything was freshly prepared. Not like you'd get at the Hofbräuhaus in Munich, for example. There's no comparison. Highly recommended.

The beautifully designed brewery is spread across several old buildings, and the rooms vary in style. However, we sat in the cozy courtyard. The service was friendly, fast, and very attentive. The food was extremely delicious—good, solid, home-style cooking. A true inn, indeed.

We've eaten here several times. Over time, the food has gotten worse and the portions smaller. The dishes have changed. They don't even serve vegetables anymore. When I asked for olive oil, they didn't provide any. I wouldn't come back. Also, my food was completely cold. And there weren't many vegetables left in the beef soup. There was more cabbage. Apparently, they want to save on chopping vegetables.

A very beautifully designed and pleasant brewery. The beer was delicious, and the food was also excellent and well-presented. From Saarland specialties (which we, as tourists, found incredibly delicious) to classic German dishes (which also looked delicious at neighboring tables) to excellent desserts, everything was truly top-notch. Service was (mostly) attentive and consistently friendly. We had a great evening and will definitely be back!

Not a Michelin-starred restaurant, but very solid, good, home-style cooking. The service is extremely fast and attentive, without seeming rushed. The only drawback: it can almost feel like you're sitting on a conveyor belt, being processed as quickly as possible (very professionally) to make room for the next guests.

Very tasty schnitzel and a nice place. Service was a bit slow; it took a long time to order drinks, and then it took a while to order food. We also had to wait 15 minutes before anyone even noticed us when we wanted to pay. It's a shame.

We stumbled upon the Stiefel by chance while strolling through Saarbrücken. We found a seat in the courtyard. The service was very friendly and attentive. The beer is sensational, the wheat beer is world-class. Our food arrived quite quickly and was also very tasty. We were very satisfied and can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.

The welcome at the entrance was impeccable. However, as soon as we sat down at our table, the experience became very unpleasant. While seated at the Sudhaus, the waitress was odious from start to finish. She refused to greet us, made no effort to understand, rolled her eyes when we told her we didn't speak German, and aggressively repeated the same phrases in German even though we indicated we didn't understand... Fortunately, the second young woman serving in the dining room was much friendlier, otherwise we probably would never have been able to order our meal! The food was very good. The young man at the entrance was also very understanding when we explained the situation to him when paying. In short, it's a shame to have had to deal with this person, otherwise we probably would have had a great time.

We had a delicious, traditional Viennese veal schnitzel. It was accompanied by a Stiefel beer. The service was very helpful and friendly.

I circled the dining district twice looking at seating, plates and the general atmosphere of the area's restaurants. Stiefel stood out, and then turned out to be the best meal I had in several weeks of solo travel across Europe. Head chef or possible owner came by twice to make sure all was well. Wait staff were attentive and the interior was incredibly well thought out. A standout meal.

The food was fantastic! We had a Wiener Schnitzel with cold potato salad for me and obazda for my wife. It's clear this isn't mass-produced. Everything is freshly made. The beer (in a chilled glass!) was delicious, and so was the wine, according to my wife. The service was very quick and friendly. Extra bread was complimentary. The ambiance is great. We sat in the cozy courtyard. Close to the bustling city center, but you have no idea what's happening outside. Excellent food and drinks for a reasonable €60 total.

Top-notch! We combined a visit to the brewery with our trip to Saarbrücken and were thrilled! The atmosphere was truly fantastic, both inside and out. The staff were very friendly, and the food was simply amazing! We had Saarland-style Gefillde and Gemies Gefillde. These are filled potato dumplings that taste simply divine! The regular ones are filled with minced meat and leeks, served with sauerkraut and bacon sauce. The Gemies version was vegetarian, filled with vegetables and a sour cream and mountain cheese sauce. The portions were truly generous. We've rarely been so impressed.

After a week's vacation in Italy, finally some decent food at a reasonable price. No small, overpriced antipasti or primies, just good meat and vegetables made according to German recipes with beer from their own brewery.

What an amazing place!! Finding this gem off a market square after the hotel recommended a visit. Staff very helpful - especially with my lack of German 😂 Atmosphere was great, a superb selection of food including traditional German dishes and Beer!! A must if visiting Saarbrücken.

Hidden behind the main entrance is the cozy beer garden in the building's inner courtyard. Delicious beer and super tasty food. We were here for the second time and were impressed again.

A truly great restaurant! The service was first-class – super friendly and attentive. Our children were also warmly welcomed, and the team made a real effort to make everyone feel at home. The food was a solid 10/10: fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. What's especially nice: On Sundays, you can sit comfortably in the beer garden with live brass music and enjoy a freshly tapped draft beer – a truly lovely atmosphere. The restrooms were also very clean, and the air conditioning was pleasant. We'd definitely love to come back!

Online reservations and changes were easy. We arrived early, but that wasn't a problem. The food was good quality, and the beer was delicious. The prices were on the higher end. My grilled chicken breast only saw the grill for a short time. I wasn't impressed with the value for money. It's a brewery, after all.

A very rustic and spacious pub with a great atmosphere, featuring a beer garden and self-tapping beer tables. It's definitely perfect for family celebrations and large events. The food was good, home-style fare and plentiful. The restrooms were also quite good. The staff was friendly and accommodating. All types of card payments are accepted. The location is very nice in the pedestrian zone.

This restaurant is definitely not recommended: The side dish labeled as "fried potatoes" was French fries in the form of small, halved potatoes, almost all of which were rotten purple, brown, or black on the inside! Yuck!! My suggestion to the friendly waitress to inform the chef about the rotten state of the potatoes served was met with the following response: "I've told them a few times, but they don't understand!" So they continue to knowingly serve rotten potatoes. Unbelievable! You'd better not eat there.

It was once again very full and we only got a table "in the aisle" despite having a reservation. This made it a little difficult to have a conversation, but the renovation did the building a lot of good! It turned out really nice. The food was very tasty, especially the dumplings are great! - but really a little too much for me... We ended up rolling out rather than leaving! Which doesn't have to be a bad thing... :-) In any case, a great evening, would love to come again!
