When we are in Ahrweiler, we like to come here for a few delicious draft beers. Very nice landlady and it's nice to sit outside as well as inside.

Very popular excursion restaurant above the Ahr! Easy to reach on foot from Ahrweiler or Dernau after 4.5 km, but unfortunately also by car or mountain bike... When the weather is nice on the weekend it's very crowded and therefore there are long waiting times to get a table in the shady garden, which can accommodate 80-100 guests! We felt comfortable in the fresh and modern designed guest room. The menu offers regional, hearty dishes at fair prices. The portions are big!! Federweißer €3.50, house wines €4-6 for 2cl, unfortunately that's common today, but in my opinion too expensive for a winemaker! But of good quality! The two young ladies of the house have the rush under control and appear professional. Quite the opposite to the temporary waiters who don't even know how to serve the guests drinks or dishes and prefer to serve them diagonally across the table to avoid a 3m walk! This is pretty close to self-service... Instructions from the Internet could help here. Otherwise we were satisfied, especially with the very tasty gooseberry cake!

The service was very friendly and attentive. The kebab was very tasty and plentiful. Unfortunately, the pizzas had hardly any taste, so we could work on it again. But the soil was very good.

Very tasty burgers! We arrived 15 minutes before the kitchen closed and were still given a very warm welcome, thank you very much for that! The burgers deserve more than 5* and have an absolutely fair price! The operator is very friendly and on top of that there were good tips... absolutely recommended! Keep it up...

Food was very good. I had the rump steak, which was perfectly medium fried, although I would have preferred it without the sauce. The fried potatoes were a bit too salty. The broccoli was okay. The service was great. You could tell that the waiter was very well trained. He paid attention to a lot of little things and was very attentive. Ambiance was okay, I thought it seemed a bit “cold”.

Nice restaurant, nice view well located. Service friendly. But the price-performance ratio is right not by far. Prices way too expensive. The food is at the limit and sometimes it doesn't taste good. For example the goulash soup: Lots of potatoes in it, hardly any meat. Schnitzel too tough and Drinks too expensive. So the restaurant is no further closed recommend.

Small but nice restaurant, you immediately feel welcome. Is well looked after by the cheerful and competent hostess. Excellent cuisine. Excellent value for money. We are already looking forward to the next visit.
