Very nice ambiance. A wonderful setup for a pleasant stay. But that's about it. Perfect conditions for a nice stay. The friendly waitress had put on her most grumpy face. Ordered coffee and a brownie. The coffee arrived first, the brownie 15 minutes later [€8]. The coffee roasted in-house in Daun needs improvement; it tasted bitter and burnt, with no body whatsoever. The brownie—I thought it was always gooey inside? I wanted to pay by card, OK. But the "please make x€" payment was declined because the amount was already entered into the terminal. Couldn't that be changed...? Nope... A real shame about the nice ambiance.

We went to Bell's Gasthof for dinner with five girls on Saturday. Great atmosphere, super delicious food, and fantastic service. Absolutely fantastic prices. We'd love to come back. You do a fantastic job.

Four of us went there for dinner during the week and were impressed by the restaurant's lovingly decorated courtyard. The quality, service, and pricing are all excellent, and you're actually welcome as a guest even after 8 p.m., which isn't always a given these days. The staff are consistently attentive, even though the restaurant is almost fully booked, and you feel truly at home as a guest.

A good location, reminiscent of an Italian wine bar. A comprehensive menu with dishes for every taste. The price-performance ratio is perfectly acceptable. Portions are generously sized. The staff is mostly friendly.

It was our first time eating there. It was a bit crowded, so I didn't know if it was a restaurant or a decoration shop. It was too much of a good thing. The food was delicious, but rather expensive for the small portion. Not the right choice for us when we're out and about and want to stop for a bite.

Unfortunately, the chanterelle mushrooms were barely cleaned at all—I constantly had sand between my teeth. The lettuce leaves weren't properly rinsed either, and they kept crunching between my teeth on both plates (including the shrimp). Overall, the salad portion sizes were very reasonable for the price.

It's turned out well! It used to seem like a simple restaurant for simpler tastes. Now I really enjoy going here. The dishes are very well prepared, the ingredients seem high-quality. We were very satisfied; the wine list has also expanded compared to "before" (before the flood?) and is much more satisfying. The only thing I deduct is the immense amount of oil/fat that was left on our plates. I'm not entirely sure if the chef made the hollandaise himself. But the meat was first-class, the asparagus was al dente and perfectly prepared, and the potatoes were freshly cooked.

Humanly a disappointing and sad experience. We wanted to have a drink but weren't allowed to put tables together because we didn't want to eat. The high table was not suitable because some people can no longer sit on high chairs for health reasons, but the staff didn't care. Hospitality was absolutely non-existent - so we had to leave and were really disappointed by this behavior. We won't be coming back and unfortunately we can't recommend the restaurant because of this behavior.

Unfortunately, not every guest knows what gastronomy means. That evening a gentleman and his offspring acted like this... Too bad. We weren't the only table who were happy about his departure along with friends. Dear Bell team: don't let it get you down. You are the best in town!

Worst service I have ever experienced. We really enjoy going out and eating well. We had a reservation for 8 people and politely asked if we could have a free table outside when the weather was nice. The waiter Thai’s answer: “It’s not possible, we have to make a reservation”. When asked why, the table was free: “not possible”. Asked again: “not wanted”. In the next step, our child is reprimanded and not allowed to run around in the yard. Mind you, it went normally. Other guests noticed this and said to us: “I would leave, what an outrage”. After we were almost laughed at by the waiter, we left. Really underground. Mind you, with a minimum voucher of €350+ for the evening. So we went to the Rodderhof, were warmly welcomed, had a nice evening and well. We rarely complain, but today it was a concern so that others wouldn't feel the same way.

Top organization from the initial planning to the end of the event, price-performance, quality of the food... Mr. Bell offers suitable options to choose from and the implementation always works reliably and on time. Reliability and quality are very important here. The food is attractively set up or served, depending on your wishes. The friendly service staff are courteous and personable. A well-coordinated team. I think it's worth mentioning that after every event, everything is left in a tidy manner without guests being disturbed by clean-up work. The food is delicious and plentiful. Requests (vegetarian, ...) will be taken into account. The selection of options is large and you benefit from years of experience. We were in this very nice restaurant in the pedestrian zone in Ahrweiler for a birthday party! The food, drinks and service were excellent and I can definitely recommend this restaurant!!

I was there for the first time today (December 17th, 2024) and I am absolutely thrilled! We were there with a larger group and the service was really attentive and friendly from the first to the last moment. The atmosphere was very pleasant, with subtle music in the background. The furnishings were cozy, but very tasteful. The food was fantastic too! I chose the veal bridge steak (fried medium) and was extremely satisfied. It was really perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fries served with it were sensibly salted and also delicious. (+ despite the large number of people, all dishes arrived relatively quickly and with a short distance so that everyone could eat together) The food lives up to the name “Bell’s Genusshof”. The New York cheesecake was also fantastic and beautifully prepared. I'd love to come back and I'm definitely not the only one in the group! Conclusion: heartfelt recommendation!

The food was excellent, the service was very attentive, cheerful and quick. A small disappointment was our table, where people from the courtyard with their thick jackets were trudging every two minutes (on the way to the toilet). Unfortunately, that took some of the comfort out of it. Otherwise highly recommended 😊.

It's a shame but they can't do steaks. Ordered at the table 3 times without any special requests. 3 times not good. So it's okay for a glass of wine, but for eating there is better cuisine in the Ahr Valley. It's a shame for such a place. The waitress tried to make up for what the chef messed up. On Thursday we went to Bells Genusshof for lunch for the first time with the whole family and our furry friend. Highly recommended: we sat in the cozy and modern courtyard and were able to browse around in the shops on the left and right. The restaurant had a great selection of small and large dishes to suit all tastes and the service was very friendly and attentive! It's been many years since I took a trip to the Ahr Valley. I was very surprised at what the residents there have already achieved after the flood. You can spend wonderful holidays again. There should be more advertising. A visit to Bells Genusshof was also highly recommended. A beautiful rebuilt restaurant with a nice concept. Fits well in the town. What was special was an art exhibition in the next room. The artist gave free rein to her imagination and used various techniques to create great pictures that really put you in the mood. Worth seeing!

Unfortunately, Bells is no longer the homely pub with the delicious home-brewed beers and hearty, tasty regional cuisine it was before the flood. The modernist furnishings, including the sale of bottled wine and specialties in the dining room, convey a completely different concept that seemed uncomfortable and makeshift to us. The pasta with lobsters was peppered too heavily, the roulades were served with a creamy, possibly ready-made sauce, both too expensive at over 20 euros each...

We went to dinner at Bells this evening and it was so wonderful. The service was so nice, the food was super good and the atmosphere was wonderful. We felt really comfortable in the beer garden and the weather was very pleasant. We will definitely come back and we can only recommend it.

Bells Genusshof, arrive and feel good. We ended up at "Bells Genusshof&Marktplatz" by chance and were immediately impressed by the mix of market place and ambience in the inner courtyard. Added to this was the friendliness and the excellent food that followed. We each had the daily specials, 1x pasta with salmon and 1x shrimp pan. We will be back definitely.
