Very friendly staff even at night. Fries well seasoned. Unfortunately it's a lot of money for a portion of fries, but that's the case everywhere these days.
Dear Lichterfeld team, if there were more than 5 stars, we would take them too. We were in great hands with you for our wedding celebration. In addition to the open exchange during the preparation, we were also in great hands on the day itself. The food was great, the team was super friendly and very helpful and the atmosphere was simply perfect. Definitely worth recommending. Thanks so much!
Highly recommended!
I come here regularly to enjoy a meatloaf sandwich and an after-work beer. When the weather is bad, you can sit in the cozy restaurant area and watch the seniors playing bingo. On nice days, the outdoor area is a great place to watch the hustle and bustle in the parking lot.
Lovely food. We we're very appreciative that they were able to serve us food late in the day. What we did not appreciate was the smarmy member of staff who didn't like that we had spoken English to him. Even after we said we were not English he asked "are you enjoying your English holiday". The interaction with that individual spoiled the experience for us. The restaurant is located directly accross the road from a large campsite with very little else around, how can they expect all of their patrons to speak perfect German. On the basis of this experience I would not recommend anyone who is not fluent in German to visit this restaurant.
Very beautiful, cozy restaurant and great ambiance! Lovely to sit outside on a sunny day and the food is also fantastic. (Only minor change are the spiders, but nature is unstoppable sometimes 😂)
A quaint old inn in the middle of Cologne with freshly tapped Peters Kölsch and delicious food.
There used to be a lot of pork chops with fried potatoes. Unfortunately that no longer exists. There are schnitzel and knuckles or chicken to fill you up. I had roast pork with fried potatoes and red cabbage. Very tasty BUT instead of slices of meat I had pulled pork and, as with all the other dishes, only a very manageable amount of fried potatoes. For €20 it's pretty borderline. A good atmosphere and nice people in the restaurant.
The underground “Köbes” was a big drawback: slow, inattentive, unfriendly and not equipped with the charm of his other colleagues.
In addition, you can only pay in cash 👎.
This was ok. We ate early in the afternoon and there weren’t many people in the restaurant. You have to pay extra for sauces like mayo and ketchup which is ridiculous in my opinion. Food was fine, nothing amazing.
