Man sitzt wunderbar am / auf dem Rhein Der beste Sommer Salat der Stadt. Tolle Fleisch Qualität. Montags extra Speisekarte Kaltes, gut gezapftes Gaffelkölsch

Das Essen war eine glatte 10/10 – geschmacklich einfach hervorragend und perfekt zubereitet. Dazu eine tolle Atmosphäre direkt am Rhein, die den Besuch besonders macht. Absolut empfehlenswert, ich komme gerne wieder!

Ich bin leider sehr enttäuscht!Der laden war zwar im Innenraum reserviert, aber draußen war alles frei. Wir kamen spontan um 18 Uhr mit 10 Personen vorbei, wo das Personal jedoch direkt ziemlich unfreundlich meinte, dass es keine Möglichkeit gäbe rein zu kommen, falls es regnen würde. Daraufhin meinten wir, dass es kein Problem sei und wir würden zunächst etwas trinken und dann weiter schauen. Es hat nach 10 Minuten für ca 2 Minuten angefangen zu regnen und dann wieder aufgehört. Trotzdem wurden wir dann gebeten zu zahlen, da es ja auf jeden fall gleich doll regnen würde. Ich sitze gerade bei strahlendem Sonnenschein zu hause. Ich hatte leider das Gefühl, dass wir einfach nicht ins Clientel gepasst haben. (Mitte 30, nicht unbedingt Anzug- & Blusenträger*innen, eher Jeans und Hemd). Denn mitlerweile waren draußen zwei tische mit a 4 Personen besetzt und die Markise wurde für sie rausgezogen. Sorry, fands echt mies. Aber der Aperol hat geschmeckt.

Wenn man mal einen Platz bekommt, ist das Lokal sehr schön. Allerdings ist es ständig ausgebucht. Wir hatten es spontan probiert und da die letzten freien Tische draußen wohl reserviert waren, fragten wir ob wir drinnen etwas trinken könnten, weil dort tatsächlich alle Tische frei waren. Aber auch hier wurden wir und andere Gäste wieder weggeschickt, mit der Begründung, später sei alles reserviert. Sicherlich hätte die Zeit für ein Getränk ausgereicht, bis die nächsten Gäste mit Reservierung gekommen wären. Aber das hätte offensichtlich zu viele Umstände bereitet. Schade eigentlich, aber wir haben keine Lust mehr, hier vorbeizuschauen. Zumal die Kellner, die wir dort bisher erwischt haben, darüber hinaus ziemlich unfreundlich,genervt und überhaupt nicht bemüht waren.

Ein Service, wie man ihn von früher her kennt, hier komme ich gerne wieder. Danke.

Schöner Besuch die Schnitzel und das Kölsch und die nette Bedingungen hat alles gestimmt zum Sonntag Abend das ist feiner Wochenbeginn Danke.

Die Kulisse ist traumhaft, man fühlt sich wie in Südfrankreich an diesem kleinen Hafen. Leider wird die Stimmung arg getrübt von den gestressten und unfreundlichen Kellnern, die sich gegenseitig angeschrien und uns das Gefühl gegeben haben, nicht willkommen zu sein. Putenschnitzel und Pommes lecker, Kinder-Fischstäbchen schwarz angebrannt und Bruschetta war in Pommes-Öl frittiertes hartes Weissbrot (Zwieback?), dazu aber leckerer Schinken und Käse. Meine Bewertung daher durchwachsen. Für ein Glas Wein oder Kölsch würde ich aber definitiv nochmal vorbeikommen.

Die Lage ist fantastisch, aber die Kellner sind so unhöflich, dass sie keine Zeit haben, auf den Satzausklang zu warten, bevor sie etwas bestellen.

Super schöne Location, allerdings fand ich die Aussage des Älteren Herren ( Personal/kellner) sehr fragwürdig. Auf die Aussage, dass ich gerne einfach nur eine Pommes hätte ( weil mich nichts anderes vom Menü angesprochen hat ) kam sehr herablassend : " wir sind ja keine Dönerbude sondern ein Restaurant, das gibt's hier nicht ". Hätte man sich auch sparen können und sagen dass keine Pommes Einzeln angeboten werden. Möchte kein zweites Mal kommen :)

wir waren am sonntagabend im sürther bootshaus, um einen gemütlichen abend mit gutem essen zu geniessen. das war leider dort gar nicht möglich. es herrschte dort ein unglaublicher lärm und die luft enthielt kein sauerstoffatom mehr. wir wurden an einen erbärmlichen tisch plaziert, an dem höchstens vom raum her kinder platz gefunden hätten, total eng und ungemütlich. auf anfrage von uns an einen anderen freien tisch zu kommen, die es ausreichlich gab wurden wir unfreundlich abgewiesen. der kellner war wirklich nicht vom fach und kannte keinen freundlichen umgang mit uns. das einzige was wirklich sehr gut war, war das essen, also lob an die küche....der service und freundlichkeit sind sehr verbesserungswürdig.

Man sitzt sehr schön. Für einen Kaffee oder Softdrink top. Service sehr unfreundlich und unflexibel. Um 18 Uhr waren bereits einige Speisen ausverkauft. Unsere Speisen waren essbar aber nicht wirklich lecker..

Wir waren an einem Sonntagnachmittag im Frühling dort. Schönes Ziel mit dem Fahrrad. Leider war das Bootshaus unterbesetzt, was zu langen Wartezeiten sowohl beim Bestellen als auch beim Bezahlen führte. Die beiden Schnitzel waren lecker. 👍🏻

Schöne Location, aber sehr hochpreisig und sehr schlechter Service. Man wartet schrecklich lange, wird unfreundlich bedient und muss sich sehr stark und lange bemühen, sollte man weitere Bestellungen aufgeben oder die Rechnung anfragen wollen. Die Karte ist schwer zu bewerten, da wir auf Grund des fortgeschrittenen Abends kaum noch Auswahl hatten.

Tolle Lage idyllisch auf dem Rhein gelegen. Der Service dagegen ist überfordert gestresst und unfreundlich. Die Tageskarte war um 18 Uhr schon halb ausverkauft. Das Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist wohl dem Hochwasser zum Opfer gefallen, ein Handteller großes paniertes Stück Kabeljau für 24 Euro ist schon unverschämt, da reißen auch lauwarme Pommes nichts mehr raus und der abgestandene Salat erst recht nicht. FAZIT NICHT EMPFEHLENSWERT

Das Essen war qualitativ sehr schlecht und der Kellner schlichtweg arrogant. Wenn sie sich das erlauben können? Weiter so....

Ambiente, Lage, Atmosphäre alles einwandfrei. Ich hatte ein Rumpsteak für rund 34,- Euro bestellt, was allerdings eine Frechheit war. Ein Rumpsteak ist ein Stück Rindfleisch mit einem Fettrand. Das war ein Stück Fett mit einem Fleischrand (für 34,-€). Ich hatte dem Kellner das beim Abtragen des Geschirrs gesagt und er sagte, sie hatten doch ein Entrecote bestellt, was ich verneinte. Trotzdem habe ich das Entrecote, was nochmal ein Euro teurer war, bezahlt, was ich aber leider erst heute bemerkt habe, da ich mir online die Speisekarte nochmal angesehen habe. Man sollte professioneller sein und mit offenen Karten spielen. Sehr ärgerlich, dieser Besuch im Sürther Bootshaus.

Ein wunderschönes und gut geführtes Restaurant. Hier bekommt man u.a einer der besten Steaks und Schnitzel. Die Chilli Hollandaise ist auch top. Der Service und die Wartezeit waren bis jetzt immer zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit. Das Essen war bis jetzt immer Weltklasse. Egal ob Steak, Schnitzel, Gulasch etc. Ich kann jedem nur dieses Restaurant empfehlen. Die 1 Stern Bewertungen kommen höchstwahrscheinlich von Imbiss Buden Besuchern, die keine Wartezeiten kennen, wenn ein Restaurant ausgebucht ist.

Sehr schönes Lokal mit schöner Aussicht und entsprechendem Außenbereich. Sehr gute Küche, freundliche und schnelle Bedienung, einziger Minuspunkt, die Speisekarte ist etwas unübersichtlich. Wir waren an einem Montag dort und hätten ohne Reservierung keinen Platz bekommen, eine Reservierung ist als in jedem Fall zu empfehlen.

Auf einem Boot einen herbstlichen Nachmittag bei einem Glas Wein zu genießen hat was, so suchte ich im Oktober das Sürther Bootshaus auf, um mir einen ersten Eindruck zu verschaffen. Am Nachmittag ist noch nicht so viel los, eine Reservierung für den Terrassenbereich nicht notwendig. Ich wurde aufmerksam bedient, entschied mich nach Beratung für den aktuellen "Wein des Monats", eine gute Wahl. Das Service-Personal war sehr freundlich, fand sogar ausreichend Zeit für ein Gespräch. Und konnte mir mit einer Frage nicht weitergeholfen werden, so wurde diese an einen Stammgast vom Nebentisch weitergeleitet, der engagiert aushalf. Eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre entwickelte sich, umrahmt von Hanfpalmen und Olivenbäumen im Kübel. Köln halt. Insbesondere bei leichtem Wellengang, erzeugt von vorbeifahrenden Schiffen, wenn sich das Bootshaus, an mehreren langen Ketten befestigt, sachte hin und her wiegen lässt (dieser Gegebenheit im Sanitärbereich zu begegnen erfordert allerdings eine gewisse Aufmerksamkeit und Routine). Sehr erfreulich ist der Zugang zum Bootshaus, der vor einigen Wochen barrierefrei wurde. Die sanitären Anlagen sind es noch nicht, man sollte daher Vorsorge treffen. Beim Blick auf die Speisekarte, die recht vielseitig und abwechslungsreich insbesondere durch einen "Motto-Montag" erscheint, werden noch weitere Besuche folgen. Dann aber mit rechtzeitiger Reservierung, die Plätze sind begrenzt und offensichtlich begehrt. Mindestens zwei Wochen vorher (für Do bis So in dieser Jahreszeit) konnte ich erfragen. Ausreichend Fahrradstellplätze gibt es auf dem Festland direkt in Sichtweite. Ein rundum gelungener Ausklang des dort verbrachten Nachmittags.

Essen war wirklich gut und der Service war auch freundlich. Ambiente und Ausblick hat uns ebenfalls gefallen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Preis/Leistung passt :).

Beautiful boathouse...the only thing to complain about is the confusing menu...it's unfortunately a bit confusing, but everything is delicious if you find the right thing.

We went to the Sürther Bootshaus this evening. We were all very satisfied with the food and the service.

Incredibly unfriendly staff and poor service! All the waiters are completely annoyed and in a bad mood – their tone is horrible, as if no one wants to have any customers. I think it's a real shame and sad because the boathouse, the view, the location are all wonderful. Not only my companion and I, but also our table neighbor got up and left without ordering food... We started chatting afterward because we were both smart, and he said he actually wanted to eat something there with a wonderful view, but he couldn't stand the bad mood and the poor service, so he left. It's just a real shame!

Very tasty food in a great place!

I was there yesterday; it was very busy. The service was super friendly and attentive, but completely overwhelmed, and sometimes you had to wait 20 minutes to even see a waiter. There were simply far too few (young) waiters! I personally didn't like the food that much, but it wasn't subpar either. The ambiance was very nice!

Unfortunately, the restaurant's beautiful location doesn't make up for the poor service. The quality of the food was also below average, to put it mildly… a shame, given such a special atmosphere. We certainly won't be coming back, because the second chance we gave the restaurant, in all fairness, was also a complete failure.

The ambiance, situated on the Rhine, is naturally extremely beautiful. The Bootshaus certainly scores highly in this regard! The wait for the food was grueling. The anticipation remained. The result was okay, but no revelation. The service: At first, I wasn't sure whether I liked the waiter. I don't want to judge him alone here. But everyone should constantly check their perception of others. Personally, I'll take this to heart. I'll at least try.

We were there for dinner today at 7:00 p.m. The service and food were very good, but then something happened that should never happen: the bill, please. We're paying by card. Okay. We paid the bill for three people and gave the lady a €5 tip. "No thank you, no eye contact, no wishing you a nice evening or goodbye!" That's no way to treat guests or say goodbye! All I can say here is, please take this to heart and treat customers who are friendly to you kindly, and say goodbye kindly too.

I happily entered the boathouse with my hungry son for dinner. We had planned to go out for dinner that day with a beautiful view. And we were extremely nervous on the way to the boat. Because it was spontaneous and just before 9 p.m., we had naturally researched online how long the kitchen was open. Until 10 p.m. :) At 9 p.m., we entered the boathouse and looked for seats. Then, in a really good mood and full of anticipation, we went in to ask how things were going. The waitresses were really friendly. Then a completely grumpy chef came out of the kitchen toward the counter and heard us asking how things were going. Without a welcome, good evening, or anything else, this chef, in a completely grumpy mood, started saying that the kitchen was closed. When I pointed out that the internet said something different and asked if there was any way to be nicer, I didn't get a response. Best to avoid this place. Unfriendly

One of the few restaurants directly on the Rhine

The service staff is an absolute disaster! Unfriendly. Simply not recommended. But the location is an absolute dream.

Nice location, great setting, but unfortunately, some of the staff were quite unfriendly. The food was okay, but quite expensive.

Sparribs ungenießbar, verbrannt, lauwarm, vertrocknet und haben nach altem Fleisch geschmeckt! Trotz Reklamation wurde es nochmals erhitzt, danach erst recht ungenießbar! Pommes auch nur lauwarm, sahen aus, als wären sie mehrfach in der Fritteuse aufgewärmt worden. Pfifferlinge gab es nur in Sahnesauce, obwohl frische Pfifferlinge auf der Karte standen. Convenience!

The service was absolutely unbearable. The waiter was stressed because—surprise—more customers had come due to the good weather. You're not treated as a guest but as a supplicant; other guests are called "weirdos" or "idiots" for daring to order something. This has nothing to do with the Köbes tradition; never again!

Unfriendly. The staff is very stressed. Everything takes longer. Too long. Staff doesn't ask if you'd like another drink. Sometimes they look away. Not nice. Payment only possible when served.

As great as the atmosphere is, the staff are grumpy and unfriendly. If you're afraid to ask for directions to the restroom... I'd rather have a picnic on the banks of the Rhine.

Great atmosphere, delicious Lugano wine, and delicious food! We'd love to come back tomorrow! It took two years, but we still highly recommend it.

I hope management reads this feedback. The restaurant's ambiance is truly stylish and pleasant—a place where you could actually feel at home. Unfortunately, the behavior of some team members was less than inviting: inattentive, at times unfriendly, and lacking any noticeable joy in serving guests. Especially in the restaurant industry, warmth and respectful interaction make all the difference. I hope the entire team will soon live up to this principle more strongly again—because the potential is definitely there.

Very tasty food in a very nice setting with a fantastic view. Prices are surprisingly reasonable – I'd definitely go back. I'm looking forward to trying various other dishes; I'm particularly attracted to the selection of regional organic meat. A big thumbs up for that, and also for the fact that the food is clearly sourced.

Always overcrowded. The service is moderately friendly and tends to turn customers away, even if there are seats available. Very inflexible when it comes to customer requests - according to the motto: we're doing too well - we don't need it anymore.

Beautiful spot on the Rhine. We didn't eat. The waiter is quite unfriendly. Actually wanted coffee and cake. At the next table the cake was returned twice because it was still frozen. So we just had a drink. Unfortunately, on the second visit the somewhat unfriendly waiter was there again. Since the prices are quite high, we didn't eat. When the restaurant opened a few years ago, we ate there several times. It just wasn't good. However, since we like the ship so much, we will try it again.

I celebrated my 60th birthday in the Sürther Bootshaus with 25 guests. Everyone was excited. I would particularly like to highlight the wonderful ambience and the perfect and warm service from our service staff.

We were there today with 4 people in wonderful weather. Location, food top but I would like to highlight the particularly good, friendly and very attentive service of our waitress Manuela. It was unbelievable how she kept coming to our table and asking if everything was okay and how quickly the next bottle of wine always came to the table. Service from Manuela more than 5 stars, simply top 👍👍👍

Great view to the river and responsive professional service - a bit on the poche side :-) - but disappointing food based on a small sample of two dishes .. perhaps we will stick to beer or coffee only next time. In short: this is not a place to dine well, rather enjoy the river under the sun weather permitting :-)

Overpriced, service leaves a lot to be desired (card is not brought, request for further order is met with rolling eyes...). When we asked for payment, the bill for 8 people came to the table without any prior question as to how it would be paid. We then had to differentiate ourselves. The interim invoice was only converted into an entertainment receipt upon request. The location is great, which gives the boathouse a unique selling point. Nevertheless, that is not an argument for unfriendly rip-offs.

We have on October 26th. 24 celebrated our gold wedding in the Sürther boathouse with 60 friends. Everything was just great in the boathouse. We say thank you and will come again.

Best goose I've eaten so far. The card makes a very good, high-quality impression. Nice ambience, rarely nice location in the Cologne area.

We had the goose taxi today. Very tasty and definitely recommended! Was delivered on time at the agreed date with a nice young lady. We'll be back next year at goose season.

The food was fantastic - great steak

Wir waren enttäuscht von dem Herrn der uns bedient hat, sehr unfreundlich, so geht man nicht mit Gästen um, und das war nicht das erste mal. Bedient wurden wir dann überhaupt nicht mehr, sind dann gegangen. Vielleicht wäre vom Chef mal ein Gespräch mit dem großen Herrn (Bedienung) nötig.

Was in the boathouse and enjoyed a glass of wine, the wine tasted very good, the weather was fantastic for autumn, so I could also enjoy the view of the Rhine outside in the sun. Paying was difficult because it requires excessive patience, I spoke to the waiter 3 times and only after half an hour was I able to pay the bill. My criticism of the management about this long waiting time was of no interest either. In terms of service, the boathouse was a “no go” that day

We have been here several times and so there was no longer any question of celebrating our wedding with our family here. It was an excellent evening with outstanding service from the entire team and especially from the waiter Dominik. The appetizer platters and the wine accompaniment were just as great. We thank everyone for this unforgettable evening at sunset on the Sürther boathouse.

Das Restaurant liegt quasi im Wasser und dass sehr schön. Man kann den Rhein entlang blicken, die Schiffe beobachten und fühlt sich wie im Urlaub-bis es dunkel wird, dann spiegelt sich das Restaurant in den Scheiben. Das Essen, ein Lummerschnitzel mit Salat war gut, die Salatsoße weniger. Dazu habe ich Championsauce gewählt, die keinen Geschmack hatte. Das Hischgulasch war lecker und wir wurden freundlich bedient. Das ganze Drumrum könnte aufgeräumter und gepflegter sein, die rosafarbenen Strahler im Restaurantbereich dürfte man entfernen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich durchaus.

Everything was just right! The Bavarian pork knuckle was super tender and the service was very attentive.

We: Cocoa with a dash of rum please. Boathouse when paying: €9.60 per glass. For a cocoa with rum, really??? Then not with dark Havana rum, as calculated, but with white Bacardi? Then not a real invoice but an “interim invoice”, so finely canceled again and nice for the tax-free money box? It's a shame, we were actually regular guests, that's too cheeky for us!

The food is great but the service unfortunately spoils the atmosphere. The numerous spiders on the railing should also be removed; it's unpleasant to sit right next to them.

We have been to the boathouse a few times. This was the case today (Sunday) during our boat trip. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is always courteous and very nice, and the cuisine is highly recommended. Even though almost all tables were occupied today, the friendly service was able to offer us a place. We always enjoy being guests at the boathouse and we look forward to every further visit. Looks nice but service not very friendly. Due to the confusion of tongues, we both received 2 schnitzels instead of 2 x 1 schnitzel and these came out of the fat and the crust came loose. I'm a tour de force. Beer was tasty!!!

Lage wunderbar, Essen mittelmäßig. So war unser Eindruck vor unserem ersten Besuch in diesem Jahr. Wir hatten keine Reservierung und es machte sich auch niemand die Mühe, irgendein Angebot zu machen oder überhaupt mit uns zu sprechen. Schließlich fanden wir selbst einen Hochtisch und warteten, ob es irgendjemandem im Service auffällt. Als wir gerade wieder gehen wollten, erschien doch noch ein Kellner. Es dauerte wieder, bis Karten an den Tisch gebracht wurden (warum kein QR Code auf den Tischen?) und dann Getränke bestellt werden durften. An einem Tisch, der eigentlich nur für Getränke vorgesehen war! Das Essen war erneut mittelmäßig, für mich könnte das durch die aussergewöhnliche Lage ausgeglichen werden. Am Ende war der Service dann aber ganz offensichtlich unzufrieden mit dem Trinkgeld. Naja. Auch wir waren mit der Gesamtleistung nur mittelmäßig zufrieden.

Nice place to eat and have a drink, the food was really tasty. Our server Tomas was super unfriendly from the beginning to the end. He didn’t even bring us bread. He was the whole tame over challenged. I reserved a table for to adults and a child we got a small table even though there was so many empty tables. I would come back but maybe have a different sever.

Great, highly recommended. Since it was very crowded today and we were here in a large group, it took a little longer. But the wait was really worth it. Gladly, again at any time.

We (12 people) were at the Sürther Bootshaus Essen on Sunday lunchtime. The ambience is/was fantastically beautiful. I really like not only the location on the Rhine, but also the location itself. The menu is very mixed: everything from currywurst to pork knuckle, seafood to steaks. The selection is very minimalistic only for vegetarians. There will be a deduction in points for this. The food was good, sometimes really good (steak), sometimes “just” good/okay. Some of the plates were covered in salad dressing - but that can happen when things get hectic. Price-performance ratio is okay, rather in the upper range - but that's not surprising given the great location. The highlight (besides the location/view) was the service: "Our" waiter Hannes was super attentive, nice, approachable... I haven't experienced such good service in a long time! Thanks for that. We'll be back👍.

I'm only rating the service and friendliness here, there was nothing more. It was very full, so we dutifully lined up and then asked in the hustle and bustle for a table for two people, no greeting, an annoyed “Poooh, no, everything is full”. When we asked what was going on with the free tables at the edge with stools, we were told “that means waiting time”. Then they turned their backs on us. Aha, what for… we weren’t told. So you wait here with a drink for a free table where you can then eat? Are you not served at all? You don't feel welcome here as a guest. We won't be coming back.
