The atmosphere was very pleasant. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food—we ordered Indian—was delicious and really well-seasoned. Furthermore, the food was very reasonably priced; in my opinion, it's a real insider tip. We'd love to come back!

Although the restaurant should have been open according to the website's opening hours, it was closed. Too bad! All I can say now is that it looked nice from the outside and had a nice beer garden.

We were very happy to be guests here. The service was friendly and communicative, and we felt very comfortable and welcome. We both enjoyed the food; the fish (pike and zander) was noticeably fresh and delicious, even for me, a non-fish eater. It was accompanied by fried potatoes and a fresh salad. Thank you!

The food and service are great, but I have one complaint about the cleanliness. The tables and floor were completely dirty and the women's toilet was anything but inviting.

Expected good quality. Definitely something for children But: No card payment possible! Why? No dead spots, there is a cashier. The guests are also there and are wealthy. I wonder why families are harassed here too. It boils down to mom and dad looking for coins in the car so the four of them can share two fries. That could be better and therefore more family-friendly.

Mein Mann und ich waren seit vielen Jahren von der Strandoase deutscher Küche immer begeistert gewesen. Nachdem der Besitzer gewechselt hatte und eine andere Küche angeboten hatte, waren wir trotzdem immer noch zufrieden. Deshalb wollten wir am 26. April 2025 erneut speisen. Mein Mann hatte Forelle in Butter gebraten mit Gemüse bestellt. Die Forelle war auf der Hautseite schwarz verbrannt gewesen. Es wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass die Forelle auf dem Lavagrill zubereitet wurde. Wenn ich in Butter gebraten bestelle erwarte ich auch diese Qualität! Der Kopf der Forelle war noch im bestäubten Mehl zu sehen, ein Zeichen, dass sie nicht in Butter gebraten wurde! Das Gemüse war auch nicht das wie es einmal war. Mein Mann war sehr enttäuscht und für ihn das letzte mal in der Strandoase . Ich hatte Pinsa Strandoase mit Lachs und Garnelen. Irgendwie hatte eines der Meeresfrüchte bitter geschmeckt und optisch sah sie eigenartig aus. So eine schlechte Pinsa habe ich noch nie gegessen und keine 18,00 EUR wert. Alle Preise wurden in der Speisekarte handschriftlich geändert, mindestens um 2,- EUR mehr. Das sollte man auch draußen auf dem Aushang der Speisekarte ändern. Qualität und Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmen auf keinen Fall und für uns war es der letzte Besuch in der Strandoase und können auch diese nicht mehr empfehlen. Fotos können auch täuschen.

First of all: We were there in summer 2021. Very nice place. Friendly waiter! Food delicious! BUT the boss is a very strange guy. I understand that everyone has to look where they are in times of Corona, but unfortunately this man has never heard of respect! After eating you should pay and leave so he can earn money! Literally! All that was missing was a kick in the ass. A larger group with a dog wasn't even allowed to sit down and was immediately sent to a little house. I have no idea whether they didn't look particularly wealthy or whether it was because of the dog, in any case they probably weren't good enough for his restaurant. When we told him that he shouldn't treat his guests like that, he said we're welcome to rate him on Google! So it's done... CONCLUSION: We probably won't go here again! It's a real shame, because it's actually a nice restaurant!

It wasn't so busy that you would simply "forget" an order... Very disappointing...

I had a waffle with ice cream and cream. I have to say, this was one of the best waffles I've ever tasted. And the service was very nice. If we go on a trip to Edersee again, we will stop at Aquarello.

Seldom eaten so badly. We had a pizza and the lasagna. Both meals were not warm and never freshly made. The waiter was very friendly but we decided not to visit again.

Unfortunately I have to give 1 star. But it's not worth it. 1 evening Friday at 7.30 p.m. we were told we were already closed. 2 evening Saturday. 7:20 p.m. The waitress knew us from the day before and said, today they're lucky it's still open. When we asked if we would get something to eat, she replied yes. Drinks came. Then there was no service for 15 minutes. Then the next ones told us that they first had to ask if there was anything else to eat. We complained politely but consistently. At some point we got the pizza that didn't taste good. The boss literally kicked us out and even threatened violence through the flower when we complained twice. Absolutely not recommended. The only thing that counts here is that tourists only come once, as long as they leave money behind. If I had read reviews beforehand we wouldn't have ended up there.
