Excellent food of significantly higher quality than the ambiance would initially suggest. The knowledgeable and friendly service rounded off the extremely positive dining experience.

We were here for lunch on September 27th and sat outside. The service was super friendly and accommodating. Our order was taken promptly and served quickly. We had the rainbow trout from the daily special. It was excellent 🤌. It came with fried potatoes, fries, ratatouille, and salad. Everything was delicious and plentiful! Kudos to the chef! The coffee and cappuccino afterward were also delicious. Excellent value for money!

For €28.50, I wasn't expecting pre-packaged fried potatoes in a greasy broth for zander with fried potatoes. We were very disappointed!

I have to say, I've never eaten such good fish. My husband and I had the fish platter for two, and it was fantastic. High praise for the kitchen. The service was warm and friendly, we felt very comfortable and will definitely be back.

Here, you can enjoy delicious fish sandwiches while enjoying a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Edersee. The sandwiches are freshly prepared. The delicious and fresh smoked fish is also highly recommended.

We stopped here for lunch during a short bike ride. We both had the Wiener Schnitzel with fries. The fries were cooked well, and the schnitzel was delicious! Sitting outside in the sunshine is a great place to enjoy the Edersee! The service was also extremely friendly. Top 👌🏻

Once a place of culinary revelation – today, it's not even up to the standard of a chip shop. I ordered salmon trout for two with a side salad and rosemary potatoes. What was delivered was a culinary tragedy. The trout was so raw inside it could almost have swum away. Not translucent, but raw-raw-pink – back with it. Minutes later, the potatoes arrived, quite well-behaved, but unfortunately without charm. A touch of melted butter would have worked wonders – but wishes apparently remain unfulfilled here. Then came the trout, recooked in the kitchen. The side salad? A drama in itself: leaves that were already way past their prime – more like organic waste than lettuce. I returned it. I got the same salad back – only without the leaves, but with a flood of sauce. I don't know what the hygiene regulations say, but as a restaurateur, I would sink into the ground with shame. The crowning glory: an espresso on the house as an "apology." Thanks, but unfortunately, coffee can't wash away a disaster. I'll never be back – I promise. Anyone craving raw trout and mushy salad, please do. I'll stay away.

After a beautiful day at the Edersee, we went looking for a restaurant with good food. We chose the Fischerhütte!! A beautiful spot, it has to be said, and right on the Edersee!! The beer garden is inviting! It's great that they're trying to plant bamboo! I ordered sea bream with fried potatoes and ratatouille!! The food was simply fantastic!! The sea bream was really well fried and a real treat!! The ratatouille was super tasty, and the fried potatoes were even more delicious!! I haven't had such a good meal in a long time. The service was super nice and friendly!! I absolutely recommend it!! Definitely go there and try it!! Thank you for the really excellent food. A young chef who loves his job is in the kitchen!!

We had a very good meal there on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM. The service was very friendly. We accepted the recommendation of freshly caught rainbow trout and 900g salmon trout for two people, and as a side dish, we chose a fresh salad with honey-mustard dressing and rosemary potatoes. Nice ambience, delicious food and reasonably sized portions.

A very nice place to sit, the staff were friendly and helpful. Nevertheless, we had to wait a long time for our apple strudel with a small scoop of ice cream and whipped cream. The small cappuccino had already been sold out. Unfortunately! The value for money here hasn't been right for a while. The small plate costs €8.50. I've had much better.

The restaurant was almost empty and we had to wait an hour for food. The service was very friendly but incompetent.

I was at the Fisherman's Hut with my wife on July 8, 2025. My wife had herring, homemade. I had the zander fillet (the fillet was almost bigger than the plate). Both dishes were excellent. I've rarely eaten such good zander, and that's what I've been fishing for for over 40 years. The atmosphere was very nice, and the staff very friendly and accommodating. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

We had a very pleasant seat, but unfortunately, despite repeated requests, our food order still hadn't been taken even after 45 minutes. So we left. Absolutely terrible service. What a shame for such a beautiful location.

Disappointing experience – value for money is not right Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was disappointing. The Aperol was served in an unclean wine glass, which immediately left a bad impression. The salad for €17.90 was more like a simple side salad and was absolutely overpriced. The Viennese style schnitzel for €19.50 was unspectacular in taste and we suspect that it was frozen. Despite the high prices (a total of €52 for two meals and two drinks), we didn't feel full - the portions were too small and not very filling. The service also left a lot to be desired: there was no structure or attention to be seen either with us or at the neighboring tables. All in all, a disappointing experience that we cannot recommend.

Disappointing visit to the restaurant - unfortunately not recommended Our visit to the restaurant was overall disappointing. The Aperol was of poor quality and was served in a dirty wine glass. When we asked for a straw, we were told that there was none - rather untypical for a drink of this type. The salad we ordered seemed bland and looked more like a small side dish than a full meal. The Viennese style schnitzel was also not convincing in terms of taste - it gave the impression of a finished product. The portions were small overall, so we left the restaurant hungry. The service seemed uncoordinated and not very attentive, which was also noticeable at the surrounding tables. All in all a visit we will not repeat.

We were very happy to be guests here. The service was friendly and communicative, and we felt very comfortable and welcome. We were there in February 2025. Six adults and four children. The service was very nice. The selection of dishes is very manageable. And unfortunately we didn't like the food or it certainly didn't meet our expectations. There were no vegetables, in winter there are no vegetables, so the waitress told us. Unfortunately it was very, very cold in the restaurant. We were all freezing. We wouldn't go there again.

Very nice service. I ate a herring plate with fried potatoes. Large portion and it tasted good. Gladly again! The location is very nice because you can see the Edersee directly from the location and watch the sailing boats sailing past during their maneuvers.

NEW YEAR'S EVE 🪅 in the fishing hut. Today an event in the Fischerhütte. As always, super nice and hospitable hospitality. Buffet was hot & delicious. It was also varied and the view of the Edersee from the window seat is a dream. Keep it all nice and attentive. Clear RECOMMENDATION for 2025 for eating, or just enjoying a delicious cocktail outside on sunny days at the Edersee. 👍🏻

Was here for the first time today for Sunday breakfast. Great quality, whether cheese, juices, tea, jam, everything is well selected. The view of the lake is priceless. I can only recommend it. Thank you for the friendly service.

On September 23rd, 2024, our last day of vacation, we wanted to have another good meal and decided on the fishing hut. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere was rustic and simple but clean. However, we were massively disappointed with the food. I ordered a trout with rosemary potatoes, vegetables and a side salad for a total of €31.00. The trout was tiny (as an angler I would say absolutely undersized) and the few rosemary potatoes with a spoonful of vegetables weren't nearly enough to fill you up. The taste of the trout and a few vegetables was ok, but the potato was very firm to the bite. My wife ordered a schnitzel with fries and a side salad for a total of €21.00. The schnitzel was very large but rolled so flat that the breading was almost thicker than the meat. Apparently the schnitzel was also fried in frying fat. The taste of the schnitzel and also the fries was absolutely not ok for us. My wife then only ate the salad and a small part of the schnitzel / fries. To fill myself up, I ate the rest of the schnitzel and the fries. But it didn't taste good to me. We cannot recommend this restaurant. Therefore only one star for the nice service. We ate out several times during the week at Edersee, but we didn't get such a bad price-performance ratio.

I haven't eaten so well in a while. The fish was very tasty. Always worth a trip.

It was OK but not anymore. Unfortunately we are very disappointed with the food. Our fries were way too dry. Fried too long. The fried potatoes come straight out of the package and prepared without much love. Unfortunately no taste. My zander fillet was fried too long and in far too much fat. The schnitzels had more breading than meat. Salad dressing tasted like a ready-made “ready dressing” that was way too sour from the bottle. The food was really a big disappointment and we all had some gastrointestinal problems afterwards. And the price is far too high for this lack of quality. The view of the Edersee was beautiful. We sat outside. Drinks OK. Some of the cutlery wasn't clean. Toilets were clean. Unfortunately there are no tables outside. Our bench outside was even dangerous because the backrest was already loose (one side even had no contact with the other wooden part) and you had to be careful not to lean backwards so as not to fall backwards. The service was friendly but unfortunately not very attentive. We're definitely not coming back.

Today we were guests in the fishing hut with a small group. The ambience right on the water is breathtaking and creates a relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent - friendly, attentive and professional. The food was very tasty and everything from fish to meat was perfectly prepared. Particularly noteworthy are the salmon and pike perch fillet. Overall, a wonderful restaurant that I can only recommend. I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

Six of us walked past the fishing hut and spontaneously wanted to eat something because we liked the location so much. There are only about 10 dishes on the menu. After several back and forths, we were informed that 4 of them had already left (Sunday evening around 6 p.m. when the weather was nice). Unfortunately we had already ordered drinks. Nevertheless, the waitress gave us the option of simply billing for the drinks and withdrawing the food order. Which we assumed. 2 minutes later another waitress was at the table who replied bluntly that we now had to take what we had ordered. In my opinion it was an absurdity when they came back to our table twice shortly beforehand to tell us that the dish was already out. Especially since there were also non-fish eaters among us who had to order what was left over from the already spartan menu. The third waitress then tried to make it up to her with her friendly manner. The food was ok in the end. Nevertheless, we all agreed that we would be happy to avoid a repeat.

If you like fish, this is the place for you!!

Today we had lunch in the fishing hut, we received a very friendly welcome, the food was very well prepared and delicious. It's great that we were able to meet new friends with whom we can have a chat.

Unfortunately, the service, cleanliness and food were not okay. The table was stuck, but when asked to do so, it was only wiped wet and not dry. Cobwebs in almost every corner, especially many on the chandeliers. Menu with leftover food, worn and tattered. Get 3 different tickets for 4 people. Plates dirty from below, glasses with marks. Schnitzel double death, very very dry and banished. Pasta drowned in sauce. Staff ........, criticism is only followed by - "pass it on to the kitchen".

Unfortunately the table and menus were very dirty. Unfortunately, this also applies to the glasses. Then we hoped that the food would score, but unfortunately the schnitzel was made in the deep fryer and left in there for a little too long. The poor animal had to die twice. The salad was like this and the Mediterranean pasta was drowned in sauce. Unfortunately, tasty is different. It's a shame about the beautiful restaurant. Unfortunately, since we weren't asked whether the food was tasty...I'll write it down here for the information of others. ...

Beautifully located restaurant with a great terrace. We had a roast with rosemary potatoes and a fisherman's hut plate. Unfortunately, the roast beef was rather tough and the portion of the roast beef (huge piece of meat) was much too large. Maybe it's better to use a smaller piece of meat and pay more attention to quality! We paid €70 for the 2 meals and 2 drinks. Since the food only tasted "okay" and wasn't anything special, we wouldn't eat here again for the price.

We were there with four people. Three pike perch fillets. You could see from dish to dish that more and more savings had to be made on fried potatoes. It tasted good, no question. But if you make two portions out of one, that's not okay. No pensioner should go home hungry for €27.50.

We ate lunch at the Fischerhütte for the second time this afternoon. Both times it was very tasty (compliments to the chef). The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. Value for money was good. We'd love to come back.☺️👍

Wir waren zweimal an darauffolgenden Tagen da. Einmal nur für Kaffee und Kuchen und am zweiten Tag zum Abendessen. Die beiden jungen Betreiber sind aufmerksam und bieten gute Küche an. Die Preisgestaltung ist im Rahmen. Die Lokation ist ja top, alles sehr sauber, Blick zum See überragend. Weiter so.

Unfortunately a disappointment for us. The fries would be delicious if served hot, they came lukewarm. One time fish was good and one time fish wasn't particularly good. For the price, the fish portions were quite small. 2x salad was ordered with the meal and was not served, but was then on the bill. The final price didn't reflect the quality of the food at all.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Mein Freund hatte die Forelle und ich hatte den Salat mit Garnelen. Beides war wirklich sehr sehr lecker. Preise sind auch angemessen. Wir waren mit Hund da 🐕. Gar kein Problem. Haben sogar ohne Nachfrage sofort eine Schale Wasser für unseren Hund bekommen. Wir waren abends da und saßen innen an der grossen Fensterfront, mit schönem Ausblick auf den See. ☺️

Wirklich ein Sehr schönes Restaurant das Essen war Top Vieles aus der Region die Pommes waren die besten die ich jemals in einem Restaurant gegessen habe Preislich für die Qualität und die Regionalen Produkte mehr als nur Gut auf jeden fall Empfehlenswert Bedienung war sehr Freundlich und hatte immer ein Lächeln auf dem Gesicht dazu noch das Ambiente einfach ein Traum ich würde empfehlen draußen zu Essen aber drinnen ist es auch sehr schön.
