This food is the best I've ever had! The fries were so good – crispy on the outside, soft on the inside – and the schnitzel was perfect. We always come from Freiburg for this reason.

Cash only... in the 21st century, when you can already pay with BTC in some restaurants. 🫣 Extremely annoying.

We were here on a holiday, and it was busy, but thanks to good organization, everything went smoothly. The food was very good, and the prices were fair for the quality.

We were there with our family this summer, and the food was delicious. However, yesterday we were disappointed. We ordered a schnitzel with sour cream. The meat was okay, but the sour cream was really bad. My husband couldn't eat it. My venison bratwurst was cut into small pieces, really only 6 pieces, far too expensive for such a miniature bratwurst. And the mayonnaise was awful. I've never written a review before, but I had to.

Very tasty, very friendly, and cozy. This is our second time here this year. The portions are large. And the price is reasonable by today's standards. Everything is getting more expensive. I'd love to come back.

We were there on Saturday and had a delicious meal. At first, we thought €20 for a schnitzel was a good price, but there was really a lot on the plate! The staff is super friendly! The only downside is that you can only pay in cash, but otherwise, it was delicious and good!

We went there today to get two coffees to go. My girlfriend's cup of filter coffee was very full. I had a café crema, but the cup was only three-quarters full and 50 cents more expensive. When I commented that I didn't think the fill level was right, I was told it was the machine's fault. I know from personal experience that you can adjust the amount. The friendliness of the younger waitress also left a lot to be desired.

You can eat well here, with many different options. The food was good; we had a currywurst with fries. It was well-prepared, and the fries had a bit of paprika spice sprinkled on them. That made it very tasty and different. Unfortunately, you can't pay by card; only cash, which is a shame because these days few people carry enough cash to pay for food. But I would definitely recommend having a nice meal here.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner today after our visit to the wonderful wildlife park and were very pleasantly surprised. The vegetarian burger with fries and the vegetarian sausage with fries were extremely good. I've rarely eaten so well! Everything was freshly prepared and homemade, fantastic! The staff was also very friendly and accommodated our special requests. Well-kept and clean; if we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back!

Today, after the treetop walk, we wanted to go to the wildlife park. Due to the weather, we had to skip it. But we at least wanted lunch. The door immediately informed us that only cash payments were accepted. These days, a no-go! This week, I even paid for my €4 currywurst with a card at a snack bar, where I wouldn't even ask for it. Here, with the acceptable prices and €60 in my pocket for a family of four, I would have had to calculate what we could afford today. In 2025, more should be possible!

The ambience is really nice, but I find self-service at more than sporty prices - €8.50 for currywurst and fries, which is barely enough to fill a 5-year-old child, or €4.50 for chicken nuggets for 5 individual nuggets - to be outrageous.

We visited the park three times in total, and the Bericher Hut three times as well. The people there are exceptionally nice! The prices are totally reasonable. I'm always happy about good food, and this is good food. We had fries; there's always plenty of ketchup and mayo. The sweet and sour sauce tastes really delicious and is worth trying. The complaining about cash: my goodness, just put money in your phone case, what exactly is the problem with that? Cash isn't worth its weight in gold. 50 euros is 50 euros (inflation is a factor, of course). If the fees that the shops have to pay were passed on to the customer, everyone would complain about the prices again. So why support structures that artificially increase the price of services? And what if some servers fail in between? A thunderstorm... a bird has landed on the wire... ;) (believe it or not)... the phone company is down... Then everyone's out of money again because most people are just too lazy to get a few bills from the bank or at the checkout in the supermarket and put them in their pockets. No need to cry about it afterwards; then there'll just be no fries, that's it. It's generally a mystery to me why everyone voluntarily plunges themselves into some kind of dependency. Just like in the restaurant, everything is fine <3 If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop by! You have our recommendation :-)

Very delicious cake. Self-service only.

Food was mixed; Burgers and schnitzel were okay, but the fries were rather bad. Priced a bit too high for what you get. Toilets were dirty and unlabeled, pretty unclear who should go where. Card payment is not possible, and instead of a clear menu, there are individual signs everywhere with various information for other menu items. The only plus point: good location on the hiking trail, playground and parking lot right there. But overall unfortunately disappointing - I wouldn't go there again.

We went there for lunch today after visiting the wildlife park. We had two cheeseburgers, two fries including ketchup and mayo, one nuggets and one mezzo = 37.20 euros. Burgers taste good, fries and nuggets are crispy (you can't go wrong with that). We would order again. Overall the price is sporty - €3.20 for a 0.33 bottle is debatable - Overall 4 stars based on price/performance. Service at SB can't really be rated, everyone was consistently friendly.

Expected good quality. Definitely something for children But: No card payment possible! Why? No dead spots, there is a cashier. The guests are also there and are wealthy. I wonder why families are harassed here too. It boils down to mom and dad looking for coins in the car so the four of them can share two fries. That could be better and therefore more family-friendly.

Tcha, the location is nice; the monopoly position is noteworthy. Card payment was not possible, so only a little could be eaten. Unfortunately, children's high chair is not secured; Fries were the only thing we could try - they were okay. Drinks: Water and coffee also OK; The door was always left open and so it was very drafty.

I've been here a few times and have always received friendly hospitality. The food is good and the cake is also very tasty. Certainly not a star-rated kitchen, but that's not what it's supposed to be. The burger today was really tasty and for the price you really can't complain. Points deducted because card payment is not possible... actually not possible anymore these days. Customers in front of us therefore had to leave immediately. Pulled pork wild boar burger was okay, only eaten with a knife and fork because the pieces of meat fall out. The one slice of cheese for €1 was a joke.

Despite being eaten in the dining room, currywurst and fries were served in cardboard bowls on a tray. 🙁 The curry sauce didn't taste good. Herbs have no place in the sauce either. The price was too expensive for the small portion. The cake is stored in refrigerated counters and served ice-cold, so it doesn't taste like anything. You have to pay a deposit of 1 euro per item for dishes and glasses. Customer toilets were not accessible. But that wasn't posted anywhere. You have to pick up the food when the piper gives the signal. The table was still dirty from the customer in front of it. Unfortunately I can only advise against a visit. You just get annoyed about it.

Coffee tasted like nothing. Crumb cake too, because it's "ice cold". Currywurst didn't taste good, strangely spiced sauce. Fries were so-so. A deposit had to be paid for glasses, cups, etc. even when consumed in the dining room. Currywurst fries were served in a cardboard bowl, not acceptable. Toilets were closed. No card payment possible. Conclusion: very disappointing visit, we cannot recommend it at all.

Self-service and then exorbitant prices

We were here for the second time today. We cannot understand the negative reviews in any way! The food is great. We adults had different burgers. They were great again! Price-performance absolutely good and reasonable. Anyone who writes here that it would be too expensive must not have eaten in Germany in recent years. Staff also very friendly. I can only understand the criticism of the toilets, although the ones in the park are 50 meters away and are well maintained. So: everything is great! Thanks! We'd love to come back!

The ambience is nice and beer garden like, BUT the toilets were dirty and disgusting. A huge cobweb was immediately visible in the left corner. Everything was great and great! Please, dear people, do not demand that a restaurant located in the national park has a constant internet connection so that you can pay with plastic cards. Very tasty pullet pork burger and the schnitzel is still fried and not frozen like others do today. Really delicious fresh food that is freshly prepared for the visitor and kept warm for hours. Everything TOP 👍🏼

Burgers with homemade buns. Fries and croquettes crispy and delicious. Staff nice, atmosphere is great. It is also important to mention that card payments are not possible. I don't know if we'll come back again as the prices have already risen a lot.

The Bericher Hütte is a self-service restaurant, ordering and payment (unfortunately only possible in cash) inside, then serving outside. The food is priced at the higher end for a beer garden, which is certainly due to the generally increased prices. However, the food itself was really tasty, the burgers were good, handmade and especially the veggie burger was really good with a subtle spiciness. No ready meal. Service was friendly. The only thing that took some getting used to was the toilets, which had been relocated due to construction, and were particularly disgusting for children and women.

Very nice there, visit it once to gain experience for yourself 😉

The restaurant next to the wildlife park is a self-service concept. There is quite a diverse selection of food and drinks, so there is something for everyone. Even a vegetarian burger is offered here. So everyone can find something to their taste here. The prices are a little more expensive, but the products are all fresh and the food there was always delicious. The employees were always very friendly and the kids can have fun in a playground right next door while the adults take a breather :)

Very nice staff, nice atmosphere! I don't understand why so many people complain about the prices; in contrast to the surrounding restaurants, the prices are relatively cheap.

My 5 year old grandchildren were initially denied the toilet (only for guests!!) We then had to continue to the park entrance. Later we ate the worst sausage ever. The taste is really not enjoyable, therefore very poor price-performance ratio. Paying with card not possible. The only response to the question was a curt no and a reproachful look. They don't seem to know about napkins here either. School classes don't complain, hence perhaps the poor quality.

Unfortunately, I have to say that the coffee tastes more like Karo coffee and the Aperol (for €5) comes ready-made in a small bottle. Very slow service at the counter. The ambience in the beer garden is quite okay...that's the only reason for the second star.

Self-service restaurant. Here you can get burgers (various), fries, bratwurst in several variations (curry, chilli...) salads, cakes and drinks (coffee, soda, water, cola...) at a moderate price. Large outdoor dining and indoor seating are available. The waiting time (on three menus) was about 15 minutes. We enjoyed it and the staff was also very friendly.

Unfortunately the food wasn't good, the fries were of poorer quality (the thick fries used to be thin) and the sausage had been warmed up again, so it definitely tasted good. The burger is not worth the 10 €, the sauce on the burger is the finished curry sauce, the burger is small and way too flattened and therefore it wasn't juicy but rather cooked. It tasted better a year ago when we were there, which is a real shame.

Sorry, €5 for a wheat beer, that's cheeky. Simply overpriced.

We went for a long walk along the Edersee over the last few days and then stopped at the Bericher Hütte restaurant because of the beautiful location. And what should I say ? It was a good decision ! :) The food was fresh and tasty, the selection of drinks was plentiful, the waiting times were short and the staff were simply super friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and so it was the perfect end to the day. Thank you for that ! We'll meet Again. Greetings go to the Edersee. Keep it up :)

Well, hunger drives it in. Despite the extensive menu, there was only schnitzel or bratwurst with fries. Burgers could not be offered due to the lack of buns and salad. Wild boar bratwurst was out. 3 schnitzels with fries and mayonnaise, 1 kola 53 euros.

We've been there several times over the last few years and every time it's been delicious and worth the money. The staff is friendly and competent and even if the fries aren't quite cooked through, it's no problem getting a new portion. All in all recommended and very family friendly.

Nothing special. Lean fries with little spice and lukewarm coffee. This was our second time here after the zoo in more than 3 years and it is still so humble. The only plus point is that the playground is within sight and you can watch the children while drinking a cola.

Essen war reichlich und lecker. Der Außenbereich könnte etwas gepflegter sein.

Leider war die Currywurst nicht gut. Die verwendete Wurst war einfach nur eine kompakte Masse. Die anderen Gerichte waren gut! Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Der Spielplatz vor der Tür ist ein Traum für die Kinder.

Wir waren am Mittwoch im Rahmen eines Kindergarten Ausflug dort und haben zu Mittag gegessen. Das Restaurant liegt herrlich unterhalb des Wildpark Edersee und direkt am Spielplatz, was die Eltern und noch mehr Kinder erfreut. Der Innenraum ist schön Hell und freundlich gestaltet, der Außenbereich bietet genügend Platz zum verweilen und Essen. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist okay. Die Speisen sind Frisch und Lecker. Ich hatte den großen Burger mit selbst gemachten Brötchen, welchen es sogar mir Wildfleisch gibt. Ein Riesen Teil und echt gut für 9,50€. Ich bin kein Fan von SB Restaurants, aber das lässt sich scheinbar dort nicht anders machen. Einziges Manko was mich zugegeben echt erschrocken hat, waren die Toiletten. Die erinnern von Sauberkeit und Geruch leider an so eine Bahnhofstoilette. 🤢 Ich bin da dann lieber auf die Toilette vom Wildpark gegangen.

Super Ambiente in einer sehr ruhigen Lage, direkt neben dem Tierpark. Sehr freundliches Personal und super geeignet für Familien mit Kindern, da der Tierpark nur wenige Meter entfernt ist. Die Burger und Schnitzel sind der absolute Hammer. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und kann den Besuch nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Wir wollten etwas trinken und gegebenenfalls essen. Der Herr hinter dem Tresen war nicht besonders freundlich. Die Getränke waren alle samt warm. Das Bier war unerträglich. Aufs Essen haben wir dann lieber verzichtet. Dieses Restaurant ist nicht zu empfehlen.

Hatten Burger und Bratwurst für die kleine. Burger waren gut. Bratwurst 🌭 hmm, da geht noch was. Mitarbeiter an der Rück- und Ausgabe war sehr nett. Leider keine Kartenzahlung. Aber sonst gerne wieder.

Unser Besuch war leider nicht so toll. Die Preise an sich sind in Ordnung, da die Portionen recht groß sind. Auch geschmacklich war es ok, die Pommes könnten etwas weniger Gewürz vertragen. Was leider nicht so toll war, waren die Wartezeit und die Getränke. Wir hatten einen Salat und eine Currywurst mit Pommes worauf wir 30-40 Minuten warten mussten. Unsere Freunde mit denen wir da waren und die nach uns bestellt haben, waren mittlerweile schon mit Essen fertig und unser Essen war noch nicht mal da. Von den 3 Getränken ( 1 Apfelschorle und 2 Cola Zero ) waren die beiden Cola Zero warm und Eiswürfel oder ähnlich gab es leider auch nicht.

Die Pommes waren für unseren Geschmack wenig gewürzt. Die Currysoße erinnerte an eine schlecht gewürzte und etwas geschmacklose Süß-Sauer-Soße. Besteck bekamen wir auf Nachfrage nicht, da es dieses nur zu Tellergerichten gibt. Positiv: Wartezeiten an einem gut besuchen Tag waren kurz, Preise waren gerade noch in Ordnung.

Leckeres Restaurant gut gelegen, neben einem Spielplatz, aber sehr lange Wartezeit und nimmt keinerlei EC oder Kreditkarte . Hatte mehr gegessen, wenn Kartenzahlung möglich gewesen wäre.

Geschmacklich und preislich nicht zu empfehlen. Zu teuer für die Qualität der Gerichte, mag ja nett angerichtet sein aber die Umsetzung und Zusammenstellung des Gerichts geht garnicht. Da schmeckt die 8 Std allte Stulle im Imbiss ja besser. Und der Kassierer war auch sehr komisch 🤷‍♀️ Man könnte aus dem Objekt so viel machen, wirklich Schade

War ziemlich voll bei unserem Besuch, haben aber nur gut 10 Minuten auf unsere Bestellung gewartet.

Wir haben uns einen Cheeseburger, ein Jägerschnitzel sowie eine Bratwurst mit Pommes bestellt. Bis auf die recht lasche Bratwurst war auch alles sehr lecker. Vor allem der Burger war eine gute Abwechslung zu sonstigen Burgern mit ordentlich gewürztem Fleisch, viel Salat und einem wellig angegrillten Brötchen. Leider kann man nur bar bezahlen, nicht per Karte. Dafür haben Kinder zwischendurch am Piratenspielplatz daneben Spaß.

Am 13.10. hier gegessen… Erbsensuppe war echt lecker und heiß.. Die 3 Bratwürste waren noch nichtmal lauwarm… Reklamierten die Würste kamen wieder kalt an… Pommes aber dafür ordentlich heiß

Wir hatten Rindscurrywurst mit Pommes, Bratcurrywurst mit Brötchen und Bratwurst mit Brötchen. Die Bratwurst war fade und nicht richtig durch. Die Pommes naja, schmeckten nach altem Öl. Die Bratcurrywurst war ca nur 8 cm lang, ebenso die Rindscurrywurst. Als wir nachfragten warum die Wurst als Currywurst so klein ist und die Pommes komisch schmeckten wurden wir von der lustlosen Bedienung mit den Worten "das ist halt so" abgespeißt. Vielleicht waren wir nur zu früh da?? Vielen Dank

Buiten het Wildpark Edersee Kun je hier prima broodje braadworst eten voor 3.20 Dit doen we vaker Drinken dan een frisdrankje. Kinderen kunnen zich heerlijk uitleven in de speeltuin Prachtig uitzicht over de bergen in de omgeving. Genoeg bankjes en tafeltjes om aan te zitten Gratis parkeren
