Strandoase in Edertal

Fantastic food with a beautiful view of the lake. The host was extremely friendly, and the fish was probably the best I've ever eaten. The vegetables were superbly seasoned, and the entire combination was incredibly good. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit again.

Three of us ate here, and each ordered nuggets and fries. The portion was very small and not particularly tasty, and the price was truly outrageous. Service is poor here; there was a long wait to pay, and an unfriendly tone when asked if everything was correct. The only positive thing was the location, but we'll never go back.

The food was okay, but nothing special. The service was okay, but not very attentive. The restrooms are absolutely terrible. The view is great.

A beach bistro with a lovely beer garden and a direct view of Lake Edersee. We received very friendly service, and the food and drinks were delicious. I had a delicious schnitzel, and my wife had a tasty seafood pinsa, which she absolutely loved.

It's okay so far. The food is okay, but I don't think it's worth the price. The view was the best part.

Very unfriendly, and the portions were really small. I had fries with nuggets with a friend. The portion was more like a kid's plate—there were only a few fries and only 5 nuggets, and they didn't even taste good. When I went to the cashier and asked for the price, I was shocked when the waitress said it would be €22. When I said, "€22?!", the chef came out of the kitchen and asked me if I had a problem. I then said that I did indeed have a problem with the prices. He simply replied, "That's your bad luck." I really can't recommend this snack bar.

Unfortunately, neither the food nor the value for money impressed us. The prices are quite high, but the quality of the food was rather disappointing. The taste was very simple and overall not what we expected. The server was quite unfriendly, so we wouldn't recommend it.

Good food, great view. We had to get the menu and ice cream menu ourselves. We received an unfriendly greeting, placed our order, and nothing happened. We placed our order with another server, and the drinks and food arrived relatively quickly. When we wanted to pay, the server didn't come to the table. After more than 15 minutes, we got up, I told the server how we wanted to pay, and nothing happened. Then I went into the restaurant and said I finally wanted to pay by card. I was then greeted very unfriendly in front of my small child, saying that they wouldn't know we wanted to pay if we didn't say anything... When I commented on the friendliness toward us, I had to listen to some unpleasant comments, very loudly, and other guests overheard. The restaurant manager also heard the exchange and tried to mediate. Thankfully, we were able to complete the payment quickly and leave the restaurant.

The food was mediocre, nothing outstanding or special, and not my taste. I would have preferred more oriental fare. It wasn't worth the price. The view of Lake Edersee alone left a good feeling.

Simply really rude and unprofessional!! First bad experience came when I asked about wifi and the waiter said that he didn't know which wifi it was and he really didn't care whether we would find out or not. Second disappointment came when we waited 10 minutes for beer even though the beer garden wasn't full. The "best" came at the end when the waiter told us that the card payment machine was having problems and that it was now OUR PROBLEM and he didn't apologize at all for the problems!!! Really cheeky!!! We then had to drive 10 km to an ATM to get cash. When we came back, the machine was working and again nobody apologized for all of this! The waiter said that it was our problem and we had no reason to complain and was unfriendly!!!! Really unprofessional and cheeky! I really wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. The food wasn't tasty either and was far too salty.

We spent the weekend in the area and thought the place had a nice atmosphere by the water. But it was quite far from the water. The food was generally okay. The service was more bad than good and very slow. But that would have been bearable, even if I'm not a fan of a simple beer taking more than 10 minutes. Offering card payment at the door and upon request and then telling us when paying that it's not available at the moment is really stupid. But the reaction to this was outrageous. We said it was our own fault and we couldn't rely on something like that - it's so 1990s. We then had to drive 20 minutes there and back to get there with cash. Not a word of apology or anything like that, no, we were again told it was our own fault and that card payments would now work again. When we expressed our displeasure about this type of communication, we were accused of a lack of respect. Be careful, people, and don't go there if you don't have enough cash or want to be insulted. This almost ruined our holiday this behavior

Very unfriendly, and we waited a long time for service. The food wasn't particularly good. The view is fantastic. I can't recommend anything more than a beer in the evening here. For food, just go a little further ahead to the fishmonger.

Unfriendly, unpleasant service, we didn't even stay for dinner

We were with a group without a reservation at the beach oasis on Saturday evening and received a warm welcome. We had to wait but tables were pushed together so there was room for all of us. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared, everyone was happy and enthusiastic. Praise goes out to Lothar, who served us warmly, friendly and attentively despite the restaurant being full! We would love to come back and had a great evening!

We spontaneously went to the restaurant with a group of 10 people and were given a very friendly welcome after a short wait. The food was consistently excellent, freshly prepared and tasted great. The service was also attentive, warm and well organized despite the rush.

I can highly recommend the asparagus schnitzel with hollondaise sauce, grilled vegetables and rosemary potatoes!

We were in the beach oasis with a group of 10 people - and what can you say: simply perfect all around! The food was not only great in terms of taste, but also beautifully prepared. Of course, the location right on the water makes the whole thing even more special. A very special compliment goes to our waiter Lothar: attentive, charming, with a great sense of humor and always in the right place at the right time. He made a significant contribution to making us feel welcome and well looked after from the first to the last minute. Everyone in our group was absolutely thrilled – we’ll definitely be back!

Mein Mann und ich waren seit vielen Jahren von der Strandoase deutscher Küche immer begeistert gewesen. Nachdem der Besitzer gewechselt hatte und eine andere Küche angeboten hatte, waren wir trotzdem immer noch zufrieden. Deshalb wollten wir am 26. April 2025 erneut speisen. Mein Mann hatte Forelle in Butter gebraten mit Gemüse bestellt. Die Forelle war auf der Hautseite schwarz verbrannt gewesen. Es wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass die Forelle auf dem Lavagrill zubereitet wurde. Wenn ich in Butter gebraten bestelle erwarte ich auch diese Qualität! Der Kopf der Forelle war noch im bestäubten Mehl zu sehen, ein Zeichen, dass sie nicht in Butter gebraten wurde! Das Gemüse war auch nicht das wie es einmal war. Mein Mann war sehr enttäuscht und für ihn das letzte mal in der Strandoase . Ich hatte Pinsa Strandoase mit Lachs und Garnelen. Irgendwie hatte eines der Meeresfrüchte bitter geschmeckt und optisch sah sie eigenartig aus. So eine schlechte Pinsa habe ich noch nie gegessen und keine 18,00 EUR wert. Alle Preise wurden in der Speisekarte handschriftlich geändert, mindestens um 2,- EUR mehr. Das sollte man auch draußen auf dem Aushang der Speisekarte ändern. Qualität und Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmen auf keinen Fall und für uns war es der letzte Besuch in der Strandoase und können auch diese nicht mehr empfehlen. Fotos können auch täuschen.

We were there late at lunchtime during a period of rain, some cake, some hearty warm food. Very nice service. We only ate hearty vegetarian dishes (vegetable casserole, pinsa and salad with dumplings). Everything was well prepared and super tasty. Highly recommended from our side

Everything delicious and super friendly service!

Despite making a reservation (with email confirmation), we found ourselves in front of a closed restaurant after 200 km of travel. We called and were told it was closed for the day. Apparently there was no reservation. However, just a few steps further there is a very good fish restaurant, which we can only recommend.

A stop at the edge of this lake...with a very good dish...top sanitation...top grilled vegetables... Excellent.

Unfortunately we were disappointed with the store. Unfortunately the lamb casserole didn't taste like anything. The pinsa dough was quite good. Unfortunately everything is rather tasteless... At the end of the visit we were very frustrated that we had left so much money for the food. The staff was very friendly and responded to individual requests.

Very tasty food, homemade chicken nuggets covered in panko flour, were definitely worth the price. The great view and quick service made the experience perfect. The beer garden with bike racks was the ideal place for a relaxing break.

This restaurant was an emergency solution that could have been done without. Small portion, which were not prepared nicely and the taste was also bad, but at a great price 👎

Great location. Food (salad with grilled vegetables and chicken breast as well as chicken pan baked with cheese) was super delicious. Price performance top.

Three of us ate today because of the many positive reviews. 2 schnitzels Viennese style and 1 Jägerschnitzel. We waited about 40 minutes for our food, the side salad wasn't bad, but then the bad thing came as a surprise. The schnitzels tasted like nothing. The schnitzel is garnished with tons of salt and pepper and is the cheapest Tk. The portion for a price of a whopping €15.30 was below average and all in all it was a meal of the worst kind. At the reception of the meal we asked for ketchup and/or mayo to at least get some flavor on the plate, these came after 10 minutes, while half of the plate had already been eaten. No more 10 horses will bring me to this establishment and I was simply disappointed and felt betrayed.

Went to eat here because of the positive reviews and were simply disappointed. All three of us had a schnitzel with fries, two wieners and a Jägerart. Well Tk schnitzel of the worst quality, completely tasteless and completely over peppered. Side salad with cheap dressing, but it was the best part of the whole thing. In short, complete disappointment. Ps.: We waited at least 15 minutes for every conversation with the waiter.

There were four of us eating. Everyone had different dishes that were very tasty and tastefully prepared. Very friendly and attentive service. From our point of view, the price-performance ratio was ok. We will come back.

The food is solid, but some dishes are simply overpriced, 3 thin slices of piztachio ice cream roll for 9 and 5 mozzarella sticks for 11 euros. That's almost cheeky. In addition, one of the waitresses spoke very poor German and was also a bit unfriendly, perhaps out of confusion. There should be more in the price.

This restaurant is located just before the famous fishing hut. The food was excellent and the whole thing with a good view of the Edersee. Definitely worth recommending.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Strandoase Edersee, and it was an experience worth sharing! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the warmest hospitality that set the tone for the entire evening. The ambiance of the restaurant is both cozy and elegant, with beautiful beach location. The food instantly transports you to the heart of the Middle East. Highly recommended!

On our second visit we were very positively surprised. The boss prepared us a platter of oriental specialties. The lamb pieces are very tender, all dishes are individually and delicately seasoned. From peppermint yogurt, saffron rice, beetroot with walnuts, pomegranate syrup, breaded sheep's cheese wedges with black sesame and much more. The service was also courteous and quick. Thank you.

We recommend. The new, revised menu from the new operators is very successful and the food is very, very tasty. The falafel and the oriental casserole with lamb are highly recommended. The origins of the operators cannot be denied and can be clearly tasted. This is definitely an enrichment for the Edersee. We always enjoy coming here and can call ourselves regulars.

When you think of a campsite you quickly think of schnitzel with fries etc. They can do that here too, but even better dishes: We had beetroot carpaccio with orange dressing with goat cheese and walnuts as a starter, then mixed salad with raspberry dressing, falafel and hummus as well as a sea bream with grilled vegetables - everything delicately seasoned and very tasty. Recommended!

Beautiful location right on the beach in Rehbach, campsite right next door. The service was very friendly and the salad plate we had was more of a platter, the portions are really big.

The food was really delicious. The terrace is very nice and you have a great view of the lake. I highly recommend it.

We went on a bike tour around the Edersee and had planned a little stop at the beach oasis. We weren't in the restaurant, so we got some ice cream for ourselves.

Das Essen war toll, die Terrasse mit schönem Blick auf den Edersee. Das Lokal hat bis Ende Oktober täglich geöffnet, was in der Nebensaison auch nicht selbstverständlich ist

Direkt am See gelegen im schönen Biergarten gab es leckeres Essen und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Der Radweg von Hemfuhrt bietet schöne Aussichten.

Auch nach einer Stunde (!) noch nicht mal ein Getränk erhalten, Kellner räumt ständig dreckiges Geschirr ab statt sich um uns zu kümmern. Irgendwann platzt mir der Kragen. Ich weise auf die vergangene Zeit hin und das ich gehen würde, wenn nicht in den nächsten Minuten etwas kommt. Antwort: "Dann gehen Sie doch!" Also Abgang. Völlig unfähig, nie wieder.

Heute waren wir mit insgesamt 5 Personen in der Strandoase essen. Es war ein wunderschöner Abend direkt am See. Das Essen ist sehr empfehlenswert, sowohl die Fischgerichte (Zander) 🐟 als auch die Grillteller sowie die Lammspieße waren empfehlenswert. Auch die vegane Alternative war perfekt - Falafel mit Salat 🥗. Sehr nette, freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung! Beim nächsten Urlaub am See kommen wir gerne wieder!

Essen war sehr fettig ..aus den Pommes und Chicken Nuggets tropfte das Fett...Schmandschnitzel ebenfalls sehr fettig nicht empfehlenswert

Das überbackene Schnitzel war sehr lecker . Der Salat als Starter war sehr schön zubereitet und mit einem sehr leckeren Dressing. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Klopfgeräusche lassen darauf schließen, dass das Fleisch frisch zubereitet wurde… Das verdient natürlich bei einem Lokal am Campingplatz ein extra ⭐️.. Das vielfältige Angebot, auch aus der arabischen Küche, bietet natürlich ein breites Spektrum. Ich kann die Strandoase nur empfehlen… manchmal sollten die Betreiber etwas flexibler mit Extrawünschen umgehen. In Berlin ist man natürlich andere Preise gewöhnt.. alles in Allem kann ich die Oase nur empfehlen.

Nett und lecker, aber nicht gerade günstig

Wir waren diese Woche zu meinem 40 Geburtstag das erste mal in diesen tollen Restaurant. Der junge man der uns bedient hat sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war einfach nur Super lecker, frisch, orientalisch, man schmecke das alles selbst gemacht war. Sogar der Besitzer/ Chefkoch hat sich die Mühe gemacht und war kurz an unseren Tisch, fande ich sehr aufmerksam. Trotz vieler Arbeit. Wir wohnen nur ein paar Minuten von euch entfernt und werden auf jedenfall wieder kommen. Shukran :)

Hätten hier gerne was gegessen und getrunken. Aber leider wurden wir nicht beachtet und sind weiter gezogen.

Wartezeit mega lang, Bedienung wusste nicht wer was bestellt hat, haben nach über einer Stunde Wartezeit nur einen Salat bekommen und nicht mal Besteck dazu und konnten ihn also nicht mal essen, dann habe ich nach Ketchup gefragt aber ihn nie bekommen, dafür war das Essen ziemlich gut.

Die Wartezeit sind unzumutbar. Ca 2 Stunden bis das Essen kommt, müssen eingerechnet werden. Ungewiss ist ob alles kommt bzw. richtig ist. Bedingungen bemühen sich so halbwegs.

Wunderschön gelegenes Restaurant mit Blick auf den See. Schöner Biergarten. Das Essen ist eine gute Mischung aus europäischer und orientalischer Küche. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Vor Jahren waren wir schon einmal hier zum Essen! Heute spontan wieder, draußen, schöner Blick auf den noch gut gefüllten See, Abendstimmung DAS war schon mal Klasse! Das Restaurant ist inzwischen durch syrische Köstlichkeiten geprägt, wobei auch die deutschen Schnitzelwünsche erfüllt werden, aber es gibt so viele schöne und wohlschmeckende Alternativen, mit Fleisch aber auch vegetarisch! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden in diesem Sommer noch öfters hier vorbei kommen! Ein sehr netter Service und freundliche Bedienung, ja auch wenn mensch gelegentlich etwas warten muss! Zum Schluss kam der neue Chef sogar rund um sich bei den Gästen nach dem Befinden zu erkundigen! Wirklich empfehlenswert!

Das Essen war ok, aber nicht überragend oder besonders. Für die Preise nicht angemessen. Einen erneuten Besuch schließen wir für uns aus. Einzig und allein der Blick auf den Edersee hinterlässt ein gutes Gefühl.

Wir gehen hier sehr gerne essen. Auch gestern wieder. Sehr herzlicher, aufmerksamer Service. Hervorragendes Essen. Ob vegetarisch oder Grillplatten mit orientalischen Geschmackserlebnissen, leckere Desserts, alles top und preislich fair. Schön, dass Ihr das Lokal zu etwas besonderem gemacht habt.

Bedingungen ist nett und zuvorkommend aber nicht auf zack ( zu langsamer Service) neu Gäste müssen lange warten bis sie bedient werden oder man wartet zu lange aufs Personal um Getränke nachzubestellen. Sehr sehr schade weil das Essen echt gut ist.

Wir haben am ersten warmen Tag des Jahres draußen hier zu Mittag gegessen, mit Blick auf den Edersee. Es war rundum gelungen. Der Lammspieß butterzart und fein gewürzt, die Granatapfelsalatsauce mit einer schönen Süße, wunderbar. Wir kommen wieder.

Leckerer Kuchen, guter Kaffee und freundlicher Service. Mit großer Terrasse (fast) am Ufer des Edersee.

Waren zum aufwärmen nach einer langen Radtour dort. Heiße Schokolade sehr lecker, Kaffee ebenso. Service oberflächlich nett, aber nicht mehr. Preise empfanden wir als recht hoch, aber gut, ist eben an solchen Ausflugszielen oft so. Haben für 2x heiße Schokolade und einen Kaffee 13€ bezahlt.

Wir haben auf einer sehr schönen Terrasse mit super Blick auf den Rest-Edersee (mit grünen Ufern) gesessen und sehr gut gegessen. Da war alles top, sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung, sehr schmackhafte mediterrane Küche bei moderaten Preisen. Gerne wieder!
