This social project, run by the friendly Eva Hafner, offers delicious, vegetarian food in a special place. While I was passing through, I was surprised to find something like this in a small town like Pforzheim and was very impressed. Everything fresh from organic farming with humane prices. Citizens’ benefit recipients can even eat at a reduced price here. In addition to all the nice things, what also shines is a communicative, friendly boss. An absolute insider tip for visitors to the region too!

Clear recommendation! Very friendly service, who already knew what we wanted to drink after the second visit. The food is very tasty, large portions, intense sauces, fries well seasoned, meat of good quality and well done. We even got a greeting from the kitchen, nice chef who knows what good food means.

Renate’s Pauseneck is the last real snack bar in Freiburg! All the dishes are always a delight and make you forget the stress around you at lunch! You can add onions 🧅 to all dishes, which in my opinion complement every meal perfectly! If you are looking for a real snack bar in Freiburg (like you often found in Freiburg a few years ago, for example at the old freight station) you have come to the right place!
