Unfortunately I have to say that the New Yosch doesn't live up to what I expected.
First the positive. The service was very friendly and competent. That at least saved something of the whole evening. Very hospitable and accommodating, but also understandably overwhelmed due to the number of guests to be served. When the restaurant was full, the guests had to wait far too long. Unfortunately there wasn't enough staff for a star restaurant.
But that was all that was positive.
It started with the fact that unfortunately there was a mistake when making the reservation.
We had reserved a star menu. When the reservation was confirmed, I actually thought that it had been confirmed as a reservation.
In retrospect, I have to say that the reservation confirmation is very confusing.
When we were there and were really looking forward to a star menu, we were unfortunately informed that this was not possible. The boss there was condescending and unfriendly. In a harsh tone she just said that we had made the wrong reservation and now we had to have a normal meal. Inappropriate for a restaurant of this level.
The waitress tried and did a very good job of saving the situation. The boss showed no commitment whatsoever.
Unfortunately, the New Josch no longer has anything to do with the level of Josh from before. To be honest, I also found it annoying that many guests were there with a discount voucher for a gourmet menu. Strange in a star restaurant. And to charge €15 extra for four slices of bread with a little butter is almost outrageous. The two of us received a bill of almost €400 for three courses. Result New Yosch unfortunately never again/
Very tasty, high quality food.
Well prepared and everything very fresh.
We didn't eat in the restaurant, but ordered something to pick up and we were very pleasantly surprised.
Recommended!
I was able to order two pizzas (it was 7:10 p.m., closing time was 8 p.m.) even though they had no more capacity, thank you very much for that! I then had to wait until 7:55pm for the pizza, which was totally fine. But unfortunately the dough was very dry, perhaps in the oven for too long at temperatures that were too low? 🤔 The topping was okay, there could have been a little more tomato sauce (maybe the dough wouldn't have dried out so much?) I don't know. Maybe it was just a coincidence that day, but unfortunately the pizzas deserve a maximum of 3 out of 5 stars. But the owners are very nice and friendly!
I think the Dobel is an all-round successful sports restaurant. Delicious food, good service and always really nice evenings.
The only drawback: at this time of year it is unfortunately too cold in the restaurant to sit comfortably in a group.
All meat dishes are highly recommended as is the pide. If you are looking for the best restaurant in the greater Kirchheim, Wendlingen, Nürtingen area, you will find it here. You'll be more than full and there really is something for everyone.
The ambience and interior design is very pleasant. Rustic without being cheesy, it suits the country you are in. My previous experiences with meatloaf have been negative, but I gave it another chance here. It was absolutely worth it! Finally I see how people can like meatloaf, al dente yet tender, very good sauce with it. Half a star deduction (which is not possible here) because the spaetzle with the meatloaf was very oily. Nevertheless, the food was very good. In retrospect, I wish I had left more of a tip, as the service was incredibly friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. I caught exactly the right rhythm between asking questions and walking past, even though my table wasn't visible from the counter. An infectiously friendly smile from the lady!
The food on the menu was good, but it wasn't a taste explosion. The food a la carte was exactly the same portion as in the menu. The price-performance ratio wasn't right here at all.
Always very tasty. Everything freshly prepared.
Small but nice - definitely make a reservation - it's worth it.
Eating like mom's - with tanto amore e passione.
The café immediately impressed me with its cozy atmosphere and varied menu. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted really great. I was particularly enthusiastic about the homemade apple spritzer.
The service was also friendly and attentive, the food was served quickly - there's nothing to complain about.
A small point of criticism concerns the cutlery. Overall, it wasn't particularly sharp, which was a bit inconvenient, especially with sourdough bread.
Nevertheless: An all-round successful visit, I'll definitely be back!
We were guests for the first time today and it certainly wasn't the last time. We enjoyed it very much. The roulade with spaetzle was great and there's nothing to say about the sausage salad. It's just HAMMER and highly recommended.
People still cook here themselves. Great and very nice operators. Please continue in the same way 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
