Gasthaus Sonne Blasiwald in Schluchsee

The food was excellent, with very fine and unusual menus, even for vegetarians! Unfortunately, we had to wait an extremely long time – for the menu, then for our order, for the drinks, the food, the dessert menu, etc. The service was abrupt and very reserved. We ate very well, but didn't really feel welcome. It's a shame.

Sensational food!!! Michelin-starred cuisine, excellent service and a friendly atmosphere. There's a terrace in the summer. I highly recommend the home-brewed beer. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by. Since there are few tables in the dining room, reservations are recommended.

This was our second time (after 2024) at Gasthaus Sonne for dinner. The staff is very friendly, and you're served promptly. The price-performance ratio is OK. The food—no matter what you order—is delicious. Whether meat or vegetarian, there's always something delicious. If you want to eat here, it's best to pre-order. We'll be back... 👍👍👍👍👍

Despite the busy schedule (reservations are recommended!), orders are processed quickly and efficiently. The kitchen never gets boring, and the dishes are freshly prepared and delicious. We had both fish dishes and dessert with ice cream and strudel. Everything was excellent.

It was delicious, and you could taste the high quality of the regional dishes. The service was very friendly, and we were able to get seats for two even without a reservation.

I often visited "the old Sonne" as a child and teenager (*smile*), and now in 2025 for the first time since the establishment reopened as a restaurant. (Actually, four times, because that's how often we visited the Sonne in the evenings during our vacation.) I was completely satisfied! The food is excellent, the selection is large and varied, including the drinks, and the ambiance is very nice, partly because tradition and modernity go hand in hand here. I thought it was a really nice idea to modernize the dining room on the one hand, but at the same time creatively incorporate old things like old chairs and table frames. The service is very good and friendly. When I'm back in the Black Forest, the Sonne will continue to be a dining destination. Precisely because everything is so good here, you might want to consider making reservations due to the size of the restaurant.

“With attention to detail” It was my first time in the sun and I was completely thrilled. The restaurant combines modern style and rustic ambience. It is small but lovingly designed in every corner. Decoration, which you can also buy, completes it. The menu is small but there is something for everyone. Nice selection of food and also a great selection for vegetarians. I had the zucchini cordon bleu with salad and it was simply delicious. Beautifully prepared, fresh ingredients, a dream. The other dishes from schnitzel, rump steak to matjes also looked delicious. The dark, brown sauce is a must because someone knows their stuff. And if there is still room, I recommend dessert. The cheesecake in a glass, the mousse au chocolat and the apple strudel are an absolute delight, wonderfully decorated with fresh fruit. An espresso is also a highlight there, beautiful dishes, sugar in a small mason jar and milk in a cute little jug. You can see how much love is put into everything. I even have to mention the toilet here, perfectly clean and instead of the typical towel paper you get small guest towels. Some care is also provided; deodorant, hand cream and even dental floss can be found there. It doesn't get any better. The prices are perfect for what you get. My tip is to make a reservation, otherwise you hardly have a chance or you have to be very lucky. Hospitality is very important here. I would be happy to come back and recommend you to others. Very good German cuisine. The food was to die for. The vegetarian dishes on the menu are also not standard and there is something for every taste.

We had reserved a table for dinner, which turned out to be useful as the restaurant is not very large and the restaurant is (rightly) well attended. Everything from the finest, rump steak with home-made fries and fine vegetables. Only regional/local products, plus a very good Italian Primitivo red wine. For dessert, a scoop of ice cream at Bailey's. Friendly, attentive service, so overall top recommendation!

The Cordon Bleu was incredibly delicious! There was also a very varied and tasty vegetable side dish. The atmosphere is very cozy and modern at the same time. We will definitely come back on our next vacation!

The three of us ate there on Saturday evening. I wouldn't go there without a reservation. The menu is small but nice and has something for everyone (vegetarians). The food was really delicious and highly recommended! Price and portion size unbeatable. We'll definitely be back!

The quality and preparation of the dishes that come out of the kitchen cannot be topped, nor can the friendliness of the service. A unique feel-good experience, a place where gastronomy is still practiced with heart and passion. A huge compliment to the host couple.

If you want to avoid the tourist spot Schluchsee and are looking for traditional German cuisine, the restaurant is an absolute must! Totally nice atmosphere both inside and outside. Very modern furnishings inside and lots of wood etc, which makes you feel very comfortable. There was a large selection of food, including for vegetarians. The zucchini cordon bleu in particular is a successful change from the other veggie offerings! And what’s more, it was so delicious! The vegetables were also very fresh and very tasty! It's best to make a reservation, although we tried to make a reservation because it was full. Then we went there at 7 p.m. and still got a table! :)

We were holiday guests in the Restaurant Sonne. Luckily we had reserved a table in advance. The food was excellent!!! We had salad, cordon bleu, minced steak and dessert. It was a real treat for all of us. The atmosphere is great, the innkeeper is friendly and we can only recommend everyone to visit this restaurant. Went here based on the google reviews. Small nice "ländliche" restaurant (family owned and operated) in the middle of a forest area :) Staff was a bit reserved when we arrived. We orded soup as a starter and it was delicious. It was chuck full so it was nearly a meal in itself. The main course was tastefully decorated. If it tasted good is another thing. Taste differ depending on who you are.

Wonderful shop. Guided and enlivened with heart and soul. We were there 2 1/2 times on vacation. Eat twice, quench your thirst once. Loving owner in the service and very, very good owner in the kitchen. Without exception we recommend supporting this family business.

Today we happened to pass the Gasthaus Sonne. There we ate cordon bleu and minced steak. Both were really very tasty. The service was very friendly and the outdoor area is beautifully designed and offers a great view. We will come back in any case.

Since the food is the most important component, we get four points because the kitchen is great and you can tell that the chef is passionate about it. The boss and service lady in one person either didn't have the best day or is always so grumpy. Still recommended!!!:)

Definitely one of the best restaurants in the Schluchsee area. The food is always freshly prepared and emphasis is placed on regional products. There is always something new to discover on the menu, there is a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The Fries Fritz are certainly the best outside of Ireland! The service is attentive and friendly. We'd love to come back again and again!

Were there for the first time yesterday on the recommendation of our guesthouse landlord. Very friendly service, who was alone, the restaurant was busy, but kept coming by and asking if everything was okay. Eating took a while, but was completely fine in terms of waiting time and the taste of our dishes. Better than having everything warmed up after a few minutes. Everyone was very satisfied and would love to come back. The only thing that was a little drafty was the window

Absolute Empfehlung!!! Waren Samstags abends gegen 17 Uhr dort essen und hatten großes Glück dort ohne Reservierung einen Platz zu bekommen. Wir empfehlen auf jeden Fall im Vorfeld zu reservieren! Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war herausragend! Wir haben lange nicht so gut gegessen und auch preislich absolut angemessen. Bei unserem nächsten Urlaub im Schwarzwald werden wir dort auf jeden Fall wieder essen gehen!

Familie Götte hat ein idyllisches kleines Restaurant geschaffen. Die Kochkünste von Hr. Götte sind hervorragend.

Wir waren heute im Gasthaus Sonne essen. Alles in allem gibt es hier nur eine Sterneanzahl: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Das Essen war toll, super abgeschmeckt und alles schön frisch. Das Gemüse leicht bissfest, das Fleisch schön zart. Zum Wurstsalat gab es selbstgebackenes Brot und die Portionen waren wirklich groß, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Auf der Terrasse haben wir gemütlich sitzen können. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Hervorragende Küche, tolle Auswahl an Essen, auch leckere vegetarische Gerichte. Es werden regionale und saisonale Zutaten verwendet. Kinderfreundlich! Spielplatz ist direkt neben der Terrasse. Es gibt keine Kinderkarte, unsere Kinder konnten aber trotzdem kindgerechte Portionen bestellen. Sehr zu empfehlen. Reservierung empfohlen!

Gasthaus liegt etwas abseits in Blasiwald - der Weg lohnt sich! Hatte ein Cordon Bleu, welches sehr lecker war und mit knackigem Gemüse garniert war. Dazu ein Bier "Sünnele" einer lokalen Kleinbrauerei. Alles sehr gut umgesetzt- wir kommen wieder!
