The small Hotel Mühle am Schluchsee is an absolute place to feel good and as soon as you step through the door you are in your own world that allows you to relax! The rooms are cozy and authentically furnished with the appropriate level of comfort. The special charm lies in the creaking wooden floors, the low ceilings and crooked walls; old and modern meet and complement each other perfectly. The mill's entire service team is very warm and attentive, you feel wonderfully looked after. And the garden area is an oasis of peace with many cozy seating areas and a great natural swimming pond. I would particularly like to highlight the breakfast service. There is no buffet and you don't miss it because you order a la carte the day before and the offering leaves nothing to be desired. Above all, it is completely packaging-free, very important these days!! We can fully recommend the Hotel Mühle! You have to see and experience it!

A very successful weekend. The entire Mühlen team is incredible (nice, friendly, helpful, competent, courteous, technically good). The experience in the 2* restaurant was the crowning glory of the whole thing. We would also like to particularly highlight the great accommodation for bicycles - extremely well thought out and ideal for cyclists. The local people are doing a great job. The rooms are tastefully furnished with no decorative frills. We also liked the sustainability idea. There were dispensers available everywhere in the bathroom and no waste-intensive hotel portions. The service is super friendly. They all have a sense of humor and we laughed a lot throughout our stay. The location is ideal. There is a relaxing calm all around. You can start hiking directly from the house.

All the staff are really very nice and helpful. What “the kitchen” creates meets our taste exactly and we think that the price-performance ratio is completely harmonious. If you accept the characteristics of an old house, we can also recommend staying in the hotel.

We had the pleasure of visiting both the boutique hotel and the restaurant at Mühle Schluchsee and can only rave. The mill, a lovingly restored 16th century grain mill, cleverly combines history with modern comfort. The rooms are extremely comfortable with excellent beds and are lovingly prepared for the night in the evening - including a bedtime story and chocolates, which was a wonderful surprise. The small but nice sauna with a living room-like relaxation area, an outdoor terrace, a whirlpool and a bathing pond offers pure relaxation. The beautifully landscaped garden invites you to linger. Breakfast is ordered the evening before and brought fresh to the table in the morning, with repeat orders possible at any time. This practice shows a conscious handling of food, which we value very much. The distance between the breakfast tables also creates a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant was simply impressive. The young, committed team spreads an infectious atmosphere with their enthusiasm. We really liked the modern dining room with a lot of flair and a pleasant distance between the tables. We were particularly impressed by the cutlery drawer at every seat. Each dish was like a painting, full of flavor and prepared with attention to detail, with an emphasis on using local foods, making the experience even more special. The cold appetizers were served at the counter in the room, which intrigued us. The tweezers as a chef's tool show the precision and passion behind every dish. Tip: Be sure to choose the additional components - pure enjoyment! The wine selection was great and the self-made non-alcoholic drinks were a real treat. The staff was always attentive and courteous without being intrusive. The harmony and cooperation in the entire hotel and restaurant team is noticeable and contributes significantly to an unforgettable stay. A big thank you to the entire team for this experience!

Everything is very lovingly designed, the park-like garden around the house with a stream and swimming pond is well maintained. After asking, you will be greeted in a friendly manner and everyone will try very hard. A very relaxed, relaxed atmosphere that infected us from the first minute. In the restaurant, the team led by star chef Nicklas Nussbaumer is also super professional and friendly. Our room - number 6: fantastic, spacious with living area, large bathroom, bedroom. Feel-good factor! We love the charming little boutique hotel with 10 rooms in a historic Black Forest house. The young team looks after the guests in a warm and authentic way. Anyone who can get involved in this special charm will enjoy their time. Many guests are sure to come into contact with a menu in the 2* restaurant. We think it would be nice if there were 1-2 smaller dishes to choose from in addition to the snack -> for guests who don't want to eat a menu or are staying for several days. We would certainly have enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening, but the drink prices are in the premium segment. A little more moderate in the lounge and it would be perfect. The breakfast is world class. Thanks to the entire team for the great time.

Ate very well, two stars is just right. The concept of the restaurant hovers between classic and modern. The service is friendly, quick and unobtrusive. The dishes are small works of art, very elaborate, but not unnecessary show elements. Prices are a little too low :-). We'll be back!

Kitchen 10/10. Incredibly good, harmonious, multi-faceted - absolutely great. Wines 7/10: Some wines in the wine pairing were “ok” but not ideal (Riesling No.1, Weisburgunder Greiner, the Lebanese red wine). Chi-chi factor is pleasingly low. Staff very hard working. Warmth factor and relaxation factor - still room for improvement.

It was our second visit and it is certainly difficult to surprise in this segment of the 2 Michelin category, but the whole atmosphere is so wonderfully different, calm, relaxed and serene. The tables are left in their bare, pure wooden surface, not drowned by a scenario of forks, knives and spoons, but rather making the wonderfully tasting towers of delicacies shine. A romantic old mill building, perfectly restored and technically state-of-the-art, very quietly located in the countryside on the edge of the municipality of Schluchsee. With excellent cuisine that is innovative and very wholesome and which has rightly received two Michelin stars.

We booked the dinner, bed and breakfast package through the website. Follow up emails from them were friendly. We took the time to walk up from the station in the late autumn sunshine, otherwise a transfer service was offered. The initial reception was friendly, with a welcome sekt and a tour of the small hotel. We would then use the wellness area with the other guests. The room was large and confortable. We were asked to come down to dinner in good time so we could have apperitives in the lounge. The only niggle with our stay was that when we went through to the restaurant we were offered another apperitive and then had to wait whilst the canapes were served with only water, to drink. Then the wine pairing started with the "proper" menu. Either the restaurant could serve the canapes to the guests in the lounge or offer a wine for the canapes in the pairing. The food its self were very accomplished classic flavours. The wine pairing passing well to each dish. We then had a good a la carte breakfast, which was ordered the night before. We could then make use of the late checkout included in the dinner, bed and breakfast, and use the wellness area privately for an hour, before again making use of the late autumn sun and walking along the lake to Aha.

Wir haben ein langes Wochenende in der Mühle verbringen dürfen. In dem Verlauf haben wir einmal die abendliche Vesper und einmal das Restaurant besucht. Das Hotel und das Restaurant sind von sehr freundlichem Menschen und sehr gut ausgesuchten lokalen Lebensmittel geprägt. Das Restaurant füllt die Zwei Sterne voll aus. Es war uns ein Vergnügen einen Abend hier verwöhnt zu werden.

Lobby, lounge very stylish, rooms unfortunately not, cheap furniture, not lovingly furnished Not even the bed linen was changed in 6 days. Very narrow, uncomfortable bed. Sleeping comfortably was impossible. Staff is super nice but sometimes overwhelmed. Using dozens is okay, but it doesn't make anything better, especially since most employees don't introduce themselves by name, so everyone is called you When you ask about certain ingredients at breakfast you get very unprofessional answers. It is not a hotel for stays of more than 2 days, as all the luggage has to be transported over a long entrance route. All in all a top restaurant, the rest, especially the rooms… are in a different category
