I often visited "the old Sonne" as a child and teenager (*smile*), and now in 2025 for the first time since the establishment reopened as a restaurant. (Actually, four times, because that's how often we visited the Sonne in the evenings during our vacation.) I was completely satisfied! The food is excellent, the selection is large and varied, including the drinks, and the ambiance is very nice, partly because tradition and modernity go hand in hand here. I thought it was a really nice idea to modernize the dining room on the one hand, but at the same time creatively incorporate old things like old chairs and table frames. The service is very good and friendly. When I'm back in the Black Forest, the Sonne will continue to be a dining destination. Precisely because everything is so good here, you might want to consider making reservations due to the size of the restaurant.

Very friendly service, great view and food that was very good in terms of quality and taste. There is something for everyone on the menu, even guests who only speak English are served politely here. A very good experience when it comes to restaurants and a good example of not resting on the fact that a large number of guests come anyway due to the convenient location. Keep it up!

We ate in the Burgstube twice during our vacation. Staff very friendly and helpful even under stress, great service. The menu is clear but varied, the food is visually appealing and very tasty. We can really only recommend the Burgstube.

A secluded, dignified hotel on Schluchsee with a beautiful spa and modern restaurant. Starting position for hiking and walking. Outdoor area of ​​the sauna by the lake, great!

Too bad. Because of the previous comment, I made a special reservation. (About 1 1/2 hours before) When we arrived at the restaurant the menu was brought to us without any further comment. (pasta dishes and pizza). About 10 minutes later, when we wanted to order, the answer was that there was no more pizza. 😰 Really a shame. Maybe you should say when you make your reservation that there is no longer any pizza.

Ate pizza 5 times, very tasty, good garlic and chili oil. The side salad was also excellent, and the service was very friendly. I've rarely had such a good pizza base (crispy).
