The food was somewhat tasty, but absolutely cold. After "heating it up," it was almost as cold. Perhaps there weren't enough staff. What a shame. I was here on December 31st, and never again. Food should be served hot, and not any other way. Maybe it was good enough for the horses living next door.

I understand that it is difficult for the people who run the restaurant, but I am still a customer and I have my own requirements. It is not one star just because it is a Bulgarian restaurant. Things went wrong as soon as we made a reservation. We were told that they would be charged, I quote: "10 euros for the DJ, because there are not many reservations"...???? I am not very sure that it is my problem when there are no reservations, but for the sake of the Bulgarian restaurant we sacrificed ourselves. The restaurant is located in some building (in the dark I could not determine it exactly), but the corridor in front of the restaurant itself smells like something between a stable and a toilet. Otherwise, the smell is not there inside. Now about the service... We were 5 tables with no more than 25 people. The drinks arrived normally. But the food... It was terrible there. First: there is no weight measurement for the products on the menu, and since I ordered fish and there was no weight measurement, I assumed that it would be between 250-300 grams, as is the case everywhere. I can't say for sure, but it was probably half of what I expected, and it was burnt to the bone. The food was slow to arrive at first. For example, the salad took half an hour to arrive. Apart from the grill, which you'd have to be pretty incompetent to mess up (although the guy who tasted the steaks apparently thinks his favorite spice is black pepper - and in large quantities), everything else was pretty awful. And to sum it all up: I wouldn't do it again. The food wasn't delicious, the DJ wasn't worth the ten euros, and the service staff (the owners) weren't polite.

Absolute insider tip The food is sensational and, for me as a Bulgarian, a particular highlight, especially the clay pots and clay platters. Homemade lemonades and Bulgarian wine. The bread is freshly baked and homemade. The atmosphere, both inside and outside in the summer, is very cozy; you can even watch the horses being ridden. This is a wonderful place to stop after a walk in the forest or a hike. Highly recommended!

Many of the dishes listed on the menu weren't available. The pizza oven wasn't turned on, so there was no pizza. Aside from cucumber soup, there were no appetizers. If you wanted anything else, you had to go to the waitress. There was a reason why there were hardly any customers. And in the end, the card payment suddenly didn't work. Just annoying and can ruin your Saturday evening.

The Cavo in Esslingen is located near the Jägerhaus, near the glider airfield, on a hill in the forest. The interior is rustically furnished, with a direct view of the adjacent riding arena, where you can watch the horses during training. Outside, there's a balcony with parasols offering a fantastic view of the horse training area. The food includes excellent schnitzel Civapacici, and the clay platter with chicken is also highly recommended. The prices are relatively reasonable for Esslingen, while the quality is very good. There is ample parking in front of the restaurant or next to the riding arena. An absolute insider tip for Esslingen.

I was absolutely thrilled with my visit to the Cavo restaurant in Esslingen! The atmosphere is modern and cozy at the same time - you immediately feel at home. The staff was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. I would particularly like to emphasize the quality of the food: fresh, lovingly prepared and tasted great! The Mediterranean dishes are authentic and prepared with great attention to detail. The wine selection also matched the food perfectly. I will definitely be back and can recommend Cavo to anyone who wants to eat well in Esslingen!

Staying in Cavo is 100% worth it! Mixed Bulgarian and Italian cuisine has something for every guest. The service is extremely friendly and tries to prepare everything perfectly. The ambience next to a horse farm offers a great view right next to the tables! We would love to come by again.

The owner is extremely friendly and a good conversationalist. The restaurant is extremely pleasant, warm and decorated in a simple but cozy country house style. The food is more than excellent. The Bulgarian kebabs are top notch and I particularly welcome the tradition of getting a free kebab with every beer you order! I was pleasantly surprised and thanks to the quick work in the kitchen we were served in about 10 minutes. The prices are rather cheap. For a few hours I felt like I was at home. A very cool view from inside the horse training hall. We will definitely visit this cozy place again. I can only recommend it. You will be satisfied 🫶👍🍀

The restaurant is located in a beautiful area high in Esslingen next to a wooded area and a horse stable! I could not list all the trophies and awards from horse racing. This is an example of business abroad, I'm just speechless! Everything is thought of and made with heart and soul! Can't wait to go again! Highly recommend to everyone!

The new restaurant directly in the Esslingen Riding Club building offers almost experience gastronomy. You either sit directly in the restaurant and look into the hall where riding lessons take place, or when the weather is really good on the excellently located terrace, where you have a direct view of the large riding arena... Totally interesting for young and old, especially For example, if you have caught a jumping lesson 😍... In addition to the visual experience, there are also the really delicious dishes. From hearty to light and healthy, from schnitzel to pizza to salad - the menu is varied and will keep young and old full and happy. We were there shortly after the reopening and will definitely come back, thank you!
