We were invited to the family birthday party in the Linzerstube today. First I had the tomato salad, then the rump steak with herb butter and for dessert the Pallatschinken with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, with a Hugo and water. The Hugo, which is served as an aperitif, only came after the third time we asked about the salad, which was part of the main course. The tomato salad consists of a single tomato sliced ​​with a little vinegar, oil and onions... This was tasty, but 7 euros for a tomato..?..?... The steak was perfectly medium rare and super tasty and the dessert was a dream. Unfortunately, my friend's apple strudel wasn't warm. Conclusion: the food was delicious, but very expensive... Good thing we didn't have to pay and were invited. The waitress did everything right except for my Hugo, but was unfriendly and in a bad mood. And it took a very long time for the individual courses to arrive.

Unfortunately, our expectations for New Year's Eve were not met. The food came before the drinks and the aperitif, but the question of whether to take the food back could no longer save this faux pas. If the food is on the table a short time after ordering, it certainly cannot be said to have been freshly prepared. A Viennese veal schnitzel for €25 is not ready in 5 minutes. But it was tasty and there's nothing wrong with the food itself. The rehab ragout was also very tasty. But unfortunately the first impression often counts.

Best Austrian in Frankfurt! All the dishes on the menu are great, especially Wiener Schnitzel and Backhändl. Plus great service.

Wiener schnitzel ordered totally burnt and smelled of fat Unfriendly waitress, made us feel totally uncomfortable!
