Wiener schnitzel ordered totally burnt and smelled of fat Unfriendly waitress, made us feel totally uncomfortable!

Been there many times now, often for department functions or something like that. Food is good and inexpensive, but not above average. It's always fun there. Gladly again.

Super cozy, German and Austrian dishes. Large portions and delicious. Clean and tidy. Very friendly staff.

A quaint restaurant with great charm. The food is delicious, the staff very attentive. If you don't reserve a table, it's often not possible to eat there spontaneously, as it is very popular. In summer the beer garden under the old chestnut trees is also beautiful.

Very quaint, good food, but no parking. Toilet in the yard. Five years ago the restaurant was worth four stars to me, but after I've been there a few times in the last few years, I have to deduct one star for the food today. The fried potatoes were nice on one side but completely black on the other side. This wasn't so obvious with the tithe pan, but it was with the other food. And then the question of whether it was tasty, even though you could see the burnt potatoes and the offended expression of the male waiter and not a word of apology or compensation. Apparently there aren't any tithe pans in small sizes either, although we had them the last time we were there. The beer also took forever. The grain probably had to be planted first

Rustic and cozy and just right if you like German-Austrian cuisine! I had a Wiener Schnitzel with a side salad! Simply great! The Kaiserschmarren for dessert was perfect! One of the best I've ever eaten. The ambience is very rustic, the points are only deducted here because the toilets are in the courtyard - not ideal in bad weather! But otherwise really great!

The food was very good, especially everything was freshly cooked! Roast pork crust with semel dumplings was very good, especially the quality of the meat was very good! The baked goods with potato and cucumber salad were also of great quality! The final dessert was the homemade Kaiserschmarn with vanilla sauce or plum roaster which was heavenly! We'll be back very soon!

By far one of the best restaurants in the area, which is why we like to come here again and again. One reason why you should make a reservation, especially if you have a larger group, as it is almost always very full. Even if we - as a couple - were often able to be spontaneously pushed in between. The ambience is rustic and suits both the food and the location. Fortunately, the charm of the service is not: very friendly and accommodating - and, if you present yourself accordingly, happy to say something casual. The service and cuisine is quick and not intrusive. Even if it's full, you don't have to wait long - neither for the employees nor for the food. Conversely, there is no pressure to order as soon as you sit down. There is no “worn out” inventory or dismantled furniture/seating. Also important for us: we can bring our dog with us. Although rarely a problem in most Schwanheim restaurants. The quality of the food: Very good! We've already eaten the menu up and down - we didn't notice anything negative. I can't remember when, if ever, something went wrong here - which is why there was never any reason to complain or have to return something. Therefore I cannot judge that. The portions are more than sufficient. Neither too little nor too much. You don't leave the Zehnthof with a hungry stomach and there is rarely anything left over. What you can also have packed - see below. The food is so delicious that I forgot to take pictures of the main courses for this review.😅 It is served depending on the dish, i.e. in a hot pan, stoneware, etc. As for value for money, it could even be 20, 30% more expensive - it would still be more than reasonable. Alternatively, the food can also be picked up after ordering. Reusable packaging is provided for this purpose and does not cost much extra. 1 EUR? I don't even know anymore. We always use the ones we once (eventually) acquired. What needs to be particularly emphasized, especially in Frankfurt (!) and Schwanheim: You can also PAY BY CARD, including tips. Both with EC or Girocard and credit card! It's hard to believe that this is worth mentioning in Germany in 2024 - but also a reason why I like going here. Instead of having to get cash every time before/during your visit!

Our chairman likes it here, but you have to be careful about the chestnuts falling down. Many tables, including guests at them, are completely unprotected from the falling chestnuts. Food is okay. The staff is mostly friendly and helpful. Second entry September 23, 2025 First entry August 2023

Very nice beer garden, rustic and cozy. Service is great and if you want to experience typical Hessian snout, you've come to the right place. If you don't know it as a tourist, just laugh about it.

The restaurant offers a unique ambience and really delicious food to match. We had pork loin with chanterelles 🤗 The service was very friendly and attentive.

An Austrian in Schwanheim with a small but very tasty menu. We sat outside, but inside is also very nice and cozy for a few nice hours. I personally ate a very good roast pork with homemade bread dumplings. But the Wiener Schnitzel of veal, the Kaasnudeln with homemade potato salad with cucumber were also delicious. There is nothing to complain about and the waitresses were very friendly and responded to any extra requests. It wasn't the last time I've been here and I'm happy to recommend it to others.

I didn't eat anything, but we will next time. The food at the neighboring table looked delicious and fresh. The prices, very cheap. There is a weekly menu. Sitting here in the shade at 30 degrees and having a drink is so relaxing! Thank you

Went there for the first time today and was very pleasantly surprised. We sat in the beer garden, which is very nice and inviting. There was goulash soup, cheese spaetzle, schnitzel and Kaiserschmarren. Every dish was very tasty with large portions and moderate prices. The price/performance ratio is right here. The staff is also very friendly. We will be back.

The location is quite nice. Rustically furnished and the beer garden is really nice. The food was delicious. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. All I can say is red flag.

The food is delicious, but you have to plan a lot of time during your lunch break as we had to wait 40 minutes for the food. Otherwise it's nice to sit in the courtyard and the prices are okay.

Ich stand mit 3 Personen am Eingang. Aussage der Bedienung: drinnen und draussen alles reserviert. Nachdem wir in einem anderen Lokal essen waren sind wir dort nochmal vorbei. Nach zwei Stunden waren die Plätze draussen immer noch reserviert und keiner sass an den Tischen. So etwas hab ich in meinem ganzen Leben noch nicht erlebt. Einmal und nie wieder.

Simply great. Quality food, ambience, friendliness of the service. Currently testing the asparagus menu. Classic potatoes, asparagus & ham highly recommended! Only 1 point deducted because the kitchen is not open all the time, especially on public holidays. Bridging the waiting time with an ice cream on the Main.

Delicious German-Austrian dishes, fast and extremely friendly service. It was no problem getting a place on a Friday without a reservation. Although it was quite crowded. The inn also offers a beautiful beer garden.

Wir waren hier, um Wiener Schnitzel zu essen. Und es war hervorragend. Ein lecker paniertes Kalbschnitzel in Butterschmalz gebraten, mit Liebe gebacken und einer guten Qualität. Auch die Schnitzelpfanne und der Rindfleisch-Salat waren sehr gut. Ein Genuss.

I've been going to Zehnthof for years and am always amazed by the delicious Austrian cuisine. In summer, the garden is a pleasure to eat outside and hang out with friends.

The people of Cologne were more than thrilled. We will be back definitely.

Dieses Restaurant ist aus gastgeberischer Sicht leider ein Totalreinfall. Schon der Reservierungsprozess per Telefon war unglaublich unfreundlich. Nur im abgehackten Ton wurde meine Reservierung entgegengenommen. Im Restaurant ging die Misere weiter. Die Bestellungen wurden mit gefühlt großem Widerwillen und Kraftakt aufgenommen, das Essen ebenso serviert. Auf die Dessertbestellung wurde im harschen Ton erwidert, die Küche sei nun schon fast geschlossen, zum Ende unseres Aufenthalts durften wir gerade noch so ein Leitungswasser zusammen mit der Rechnung bestellen. Die Gerichte können noch so lecker sein - wenn man sich als Gast in einem gastronomischen Betrieb nicht willkommen fühlt, hinterlässt das leider einen bleibenden, überaus negativen Eindruck. Wir werden die Gaststätte Zum Zehnthof nicht wieder besuchen.

Came here for a quick dinner during a stopover at the airport and found a great time, comfortable, familiar environment that helped relaxing in the middle of a long trip. Food was great in our view, schnitzel with potatoes (and beer!) and a delicate strudel. We appreciate the warm welcome, and English speaking restaurateur. Thanks a lot!

Der Vergleich zu einer normalen Schnitzelpfanne und der Seniorenausgabe war, das es etwas mehr Salat und ein paar mehr Bratkartoffeln gab. Ansonsten sah man keinen Unterschied. Da war die normale Portion entweder zu klein oder zu teuer. Und leider entsprach der Frischkäse mit Zwiebel und Speck gar nicht den Angaben. War alles so püriert worden, dass man nichts mehr sah, oder war es frisch gekaufter Frischkäse mit Aromastoffen? Zumindest war er angepappt/ angebrannt und hatte unten eine schwarze Kruste. Die anderen Bestandteile des Essens waren in Ordnung. Beim nächsten Mal nehme ich wieder den Hirschgulasch. Der ist viel besser. Schade, dass es dort keine Klöße dazu gibt. Wäre passender als langweilige Spätzle.

Sehr rustikales, aber sehr nettes Ambiente. Ich hatte die Schnitzelpfanne. War sehr lecker, aber auch leider sehr übersichtlich, also viel zu klein. Die anderen Gerichte waren mengentechnisch deutlich besser. Komme gerne wieder, aber ich werde mich für ein anderes Gericht entscheiden.

Restaurant met Oostenrijkse gerechten. Ik heb een Wiener Schnitzel genomen. Een aanrader als je niet weet wat je zal kiezen. Er is een sfeervol terras en binnen oogt het ook heel gezellig. Vriendelijke en snelle service.

Leider seit circa einem Monat beim Mittagstisch-Angebot eine 25%tige Preissteigerung. Möchte der Gast eine Suppe darf er 2,50 extra bezahlen. Deshalb einen Stern Abzug für dieses nette Lokal mit dem schönen Aussenbereich.

Wir waren wirklich zufrieden mit unserer Auswahl: eine ganz feine Rinderbrühe mit viel Geschmack und leckeren Fritatten aber ohne Fett und reichlich Käsespätzle mit schön krossen Zwiebeln Und der Apfelwein war auch so wie er sein soll: kühl und frisch Der Innenhof ist prima zum Sitzen und die Bedienung war flott und echt freundlich
