The venison ragout and schnitzel were fantastic. Service was very good. The only downside was the heat and stuffy air.

A restaurant visit that we left with a smile and full stomachs every time. The food is cooked from scratch, and you can taste it! The service is very attentive and friendly, and combined with the delicious food and drinks, it's a real pleasure. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

I eate in this restaurant 4 times in the last week. I was in Frankfurt on business and this restaurant is right nearby. The food is very solid and good, some things are even decisive. It is decorated in the style of an Austrian beer hall. I would especially praise the waitresses and waiters. Very helpful, smiling and fast, especially the well-coordinated team for lunch whan restirant is full. Even though Ines( waitress) made a mistake and made my reservation for a day later, they still found a place for us. They always offer fresh pepper, they offer another drink or dessert. Very high-quality service that is increasingly rare.. next time I come to Frankfurt, I have no doubts that I will have lunch / dinner there

I work in the area and regularly eat at Edelweiss. Every meal is delicious. What deserves special mention, however, are the staff, who are always friendly and charming, even when the restaurant is full. They really give their all and ensure that waiting times are kept to a minimum and special requests can be accommodated. Thank you.

We had a wonderful table outside on the terrace. The tables on the platform are highly recommended. The seating is very comfortable and you have a nice view. We were there for lunch, four of us, and we had a great opportunity to chat discreetly without being overheard by neighbors. I can only praise the food and the wine selection. All the dishes were excellent. We ordered different dishes, and looking at our neighbors' plates made it clear: We must and will be back!

Impeccable welcome, with a big smile. Server speaks very good English, and menu in English as well. The specialties were very good and especially the dessert.

A cozy evening in Frankfurt. On Saturday evening, we were able to snag a table in the busy outdoor area around 9 p.m. without a reservation. A reservation would have been safer. - Very good food. The fried chicken with lukewarm potato salad and pumpkin seed oil couldn't be better. The Kaiserschmarrn (smothered pancakes) was to die for. Fair prices for Frankfurt. - Very friendly and efficient staff; we had a great time. If you enjoy good Austrian cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere, this is the place for you.

In the middle of Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen, the red-white-red flag suddenly flies. An Austrian inn among all the Äppelwoi taverns. The menu could just as easily be found in a restaurant in Lower Austria or Styria. And the wines make you feel like you're in the Alps and the Danube: Blauer Zweigelt and Grüner Veltliner. A good idea, however, in terms of customer service, would be to lower the flag whenever you're not open. Otherwise, you'll be happy to find yourself in front of a closed door.

The best thing I've eaten in a long time. Truly a dream for anyone who likes Wiener Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarren.

As an Austrian, you're twice as critical. But the food is truly authentic and incredibly delicious. There were two of us there and we were lucky to have been there. Highly recommended!

Starters like venison carp and marrow dumpling soup were very good. Schnitzel, chicken, and venison meatballs were all very good. Ice cream with caramelized pumpkin seeds and pumpkin seed oil was absolutely delicious. The prices were also reasonable.

Very good food, a very friendly atmosphere and if you don't want to drink apple wine or eat ribs in the apple wine district, this is a very good address, but also if you want to eat Austrian food at all, excellent, the quality of the food is brilliant and everything with the friendliest service very reasonably priced.

I went there for the first time today, after having wanted to go for ages. Friendly, attentive, and professional service combined with perfectly prepared, delicious, and fresh food. And the lunch menu, in particular, is unbeatable value for money. I can truly recommend this restaurant without reservation!

As soon as I entered, they recognized that I was Korean and greeted me in Korean, saying hello. The beer they recommended was perfect (I personally liked wheat beer better, but my wife liked lager better), and the Vienna schnitzel was also delicious. Of all the restaurants I've been to in Germany, this one had the best atmosphere, and even the dessert at the end was delicious. Oh, and I almost forgot, but the seasonal menu, asparagus soup, is perfect for Korean tastes. If it's on the menu, definitely order it. I highly recommend it. And the German soju they gave me as a last service (I remember the name of the drink, but it's German soju...) It was really strong, but had a nice subtle apricot flavor. This is the first restaurant I've written a review of while traveling around Europe. If you come to Frankfurt, please come here. Boss, if you ever come to Korea again, I'd like to take a day to take you to a good restaurant. ㅋㅋㅋ

Instead of eating near the central station, which is like zombie land, I recommend you take the train for 10 minutes and eat at a place with a good atmosphere, good people, and good food. If you only want to drink beer, you can sit at the bar and have fun drinking while chatting with the friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

Visiting from the US and everything about this restaurant was absolutely perfect! The vibe is cozy and welcoming, and every dish we ordered was delicious from start to finish. Tired and hungry after 27hours flying we ended up here. Cannot believe how happy this place made us! Great food and super nice staff. The schnitzel was crunchy, the spring soup was tasty and the spatzle was divine. Absolutely recommend.

Was there with a friend and just had something to drink. Goulash with napkin dumplings was eaten at the next table, it looked good and was also confirmed. The service was great. I'll be back.

Relatively authentic Austrian cuisine. Delicious and also special recommendations, such as wild boar liver. It's fun and well prepared. Service very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable. Top German/Austrian cuisine... The only drawback is parking spaces, it is best to arrive by public transport.

We have been coming to Edelweiss on and off for many years. It's the only really good Austrian restaurant in the area! We had a portion of Kas-Nockerl (cheese spaetzle), gutted Händl in breading (chicken schnitzel), potato salad with Styrian pumpkin seed oil and a portion of Kaiserschmarrn (the main reason why we come and go here). The cheese spaetzle was on point, the breading of the chicken schnitzel was extremely crispy and didn't fall off and the potato salad as a side dish was well seasoned. The service staff are very child-friendly and take care of the guests. The tiny drawback on the last visit was the somewhat small portion of the Kaiserschmarrn. We remembered it as bigger. With the raisins, powdered sugar and portion of plum jam, they were still delicious. If you're coming in on the weekend, you'll need to make a reservation, as the space inside is quite limited. If the weather is good and you want to stay outside or in the smoking room (small wooden hut in the beer garden), you can also try it spontaneously. Clear recommendation for the Edelweiss in Frankfurt. We'd love to come back! :-)

There's nothing wrong with the quality of the food. Fresh, appetizing, and deliciously presented. However, we would especially like to highlight the service. Competent, friendly, attentive (without ever being intrusive), and very funny (without ever seeming disrespectful to the guest). Perfect. Thank you for the lovely evening. I can warmly recommend this restaurant. The meals were excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. We visited the restaurant for the first time but certainly not the last.

Mittlerweile gibt es im Edelweiß 3 (!) Schichten zum Abendessen. Das mag in New York oder von mir aus auch auf dem Pariser Eiffelturm akzeptabel sein, aber hier sind wir nur in Frankfurt. Und noch nicht mal am Römer oder der « neuen Altstadt « . Sorry, aber so ein Konzept ist eher was für touristische Hotspots.

We went to Edelweiss for the first time this evening and were thrilled: very tasty food, really nice and friendly service and a lovely ambience. The veal schnitzel is very tasty (and there is a large and small portion!!). Reservation request was left on the answering machine and a quick call back was made. Gladly again!!!

I recently visited Edelweiss and absolutely loved the experience. Please don't be confused by the photos of the leftovers - they are simply the remnants of a wonderful meal. Luckily I took a photo of the Kaiserschmarrn beforehand, which was simply breathtaking. The food was excellent, and the Kaiserschmarrn was the highlight of the evening. It was fluffy, tasty and perfectly prepared. The service was very friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, which makes the Edelweiss a real insider tip. I highly recommend it!

The Edelweiss has been the best Austria branch north of the Alps for many years and is an integral part of Frankfurt. Cuisine with some Austrian specialties, plus a good beer (from Büble in the Allgäu region) and a well-stocked wine and spirits list. Super nice service, you feel comfortable here in the not too big “good room”. Among other things, we had an excellent Wiener Schnitzel made of thinly pounded veal with a great breading, with a choice of Styrian potato salad or the classic potatoes with parsley. Then a wonderful, lukewarm apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream (better known as "whipped cream"), not too sweet but super tasty. Simply a heavenly evening in the middle of Sachsenhausen. There are hardly any parking spaces, so it's better to take the tram or taxi. And be sure to reserve.

A small restaurant that specializes in Austrian cuisine. When you come in it feels like you are in an Alpine hut. I had the Zurich Geschnetzeltes. The veal was perfectly cooked and the hash browns were very crispy and a little fatty. The service was great. The employees were nice, friendly and accommodating. The price is a bit more expensive but the quality is good. Will definitely come here again.

Ein kleines Restaurant was auf die österreichische Küche spezialisiert ist. Wenn man reinkommt fühlt es sich an wie in einer Alpenhütte. Ich hatte das Züricher Geschnetzeltes. Das Kalb war perfekt gekocht und die Rösti waren sehr knusprig und etwas fettig. Der Service war prima. Die Mitarbeiter waren nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preislich etwas teurer aber dafür passt die Qualität. Werde definitiv hier nochmal vorbeikommen.

First time in Frankfurt, we stumbled upon this restaurant for dinner. We were very well received, the waiters were very friendly and joked with us, in French to boot! The atmosphere is very friendly, family and warm. The cuisine is delicious, our dishes were recommended to us by the waiters, we advise you to taste the homemade Cordon bleu strudel and especially the Kaiserschmarrn for dessert, a delight!!!!! In short and simple, go there with your eyes closed! And we hope to come back very soon!!!!

We were there with a larger group. Even though there wasn't really a lot of space available, that's exactly what made it extremely comfortable. The food was to die for. Top quality and extremely tasty prepared. Top service is also included in the price, which is really more than reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

I would like to say something positive about dinner, but the 'Kleiner Brauner' (espresso) was such an absolute disgrace that I can only give one star for the entire meal. Also W Complaining to the waiter didn't help. He regretted that they didn't have a portafilter machine but only a fully automatic coffee machine. Although the disputed espresso was left there, it was charged. A shame for an Austrian restaurant. If you can't make a decent coffee, you shouldn't offer it.

I had an incredible experience at Edelweiss. Although I was traveling solo, the waitstaff was so incredibly friendly and conversational that I felt like I wasn’t dining alone. I ordered venison ragout with dumplings and red cabbage off of the seasonal autumn menu. My delightful waiter told me that his family are hunters and that they hunted the venison themselves. The meat was so tender, with a richly flavorful gravy and no gamey taste. I was in heaven. Each bite was savored slowly, and washed down with a locally brewed wheat beer. Dessert was also from the seasonal menu…apricot dumpling with vanilla cream. Good gracious, I can’t wait to go back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Edelweiß in Frankfurt Sachsenhausen and it was an absolute highlight! The food was not only excellent, but also exceeded the highest expectations. Every dish was prepared with a lot of love and care. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly and courteous staff. The staff were extremely attentive and made sure we felt completely comfortable. I can honestly say that I haven't eaten so well in Frankfurt for a long time. The Edelweiss has won a permanent place in my heart and I am already looking forward to my next visit! Unreserved recommendation for anyone who wants to dine first-class in Sachsenhausen!

We had dinner at Edelweiss this evening. When we arrived at 6 p.m., we were promised a table until 7:30 p.m. After half an hour we had finished our food but not yet our drinks, we were asked if we would like to order anything else. When we said no, a short time later we were politely asked to clear the table and sit at the bar stools. A few minutes later we were asked again if we would like to order something else to drink, even though we still hadn't finished our first drink. When we said no again, a short time later (6:45 p.m.) the bill was presented to us without asking, with the request to pay and the explanation that they are a small company and have to think economically. In short, after a dinner with two drinks, you were asked to leave the restaurant after 45 minutes, even though you were promised a table (and no bar stool!) for 1.5 hours. I have never experienced anything like this in my life and will not eat here again.

Super delicious food, the cordon bleu with horseradish was ultra tasty and the fried chicken was also very juicy and tasty. There was also potato salad, which was also delicious. Our waitress (an older lady and a younger man) were also really great, very attentive, friendly and humorous. We also enjoyed the schnapps - thank you for a great evening!

The food is delicious and the service is top. Here you can eat dishes like you would in an alpine hut. The location is very central, but right on the street. Therefore a bit loud.

This was the best meal of my entire trip between numerous countries. We had the spatzel and schnitzel. If you don't try this food you aren't doing Frankfurt right despite the origins being Austrian. The food was amazing, service was so pleasant, we would more than recommend and look forward to coming back.
