Restaurant Lohninger in Frankfurt am Main

Had a nice table for three. We had schnitzel and the ox cheeks and of course Kaiserschmarren at the end. The food was consistently good. A normal portion was too big for my companions and we ordered 2 small wieners. One was charged at 32.00. A normal one probably costs 39,-?! The service was always there and responded quickly. A glass of wine with 0.1 liters costs 14,- But people, what's not working is what you do with the coats! Anyone who goes out to eat like this also has a high-quality jacket or coat. The things then hang on a wire rack?!? All on top of each other?!

Fantastic venue. A unique culinary experience. Absolutely worth trying!

Fantastic meal. The entire menu can also be ordered gluten-free. They have gluten-free bread in advance here. And take everything into account. Haven't had such a good meal in a long time. Even non-alcoholic sect

We are never disappointed at Lohninger. Quality and service are superb! We had the goose yesterday which was perfectly done! Also love the beer tartar, Schnitzel and fish dishes!

We've been to Lohninger several times before, but unfortunately it didn't work out this time. The food was delicious, no question, but it was better. Unfortunately, the biggest point of criticism is the service. The staff - sorry to be so clear - is of a fast food standard... inattentive, error-prone and unfriendly! Some of them were forgotten, we weren't even asked for another glass of wine or a bottle of water - which, by the way, is already outrageously overpriced at €11. The atmosphere was more like a mass processing with royal prices. I like to spend good money if everything fits. However, the price-performance ratio is no longer right here - unfortunately.

There can only be full points here - everything fits together so well! Sometimes you wait a little too long at lunchtime, but then you are rewarded!

I love Lohninger and its legendary Kaiserschmarren! Nevertheless, you can only book for 2 hours and if you then want to enjoy the 6-course menu, that's contradictory. The service is friendly and accommodating but puts the bottle on the glass and sometimes pours it over the hand. In other words, things have slowed down a bit. I don't want to talk about the sometimes strange clientele. I wish everyone recognizes and appreciates good food as a human being. Poor the one who can't do that or has never learned. But the quality of the food is still amazing. We weren't thrown out after 2 hours, but another solution was found for the new guests😉

We went to Restaurant Lohninger for the first time on Saturday evening - the reason was the "Luftschnitzel" and the "Kaiserschmarrn" - result: the almost 200 km long journey was absolutely worth it...the service was top, the food was top, the wine was top, The atmosphere was great, the price-performance ratio was great - we will definitely come back!!

I was actually quite happy with the store, but unfortunately the quality has deteriorated. Fish is no longer as fresh as I was used to, bread is dry, etc. Staff in a bad mood. Unfortunately I won't be coming over anymore!

Service seemed very overwhelmed, you felt forgotten the whole time while several waiters were working at the same time at another table. The food itself was delicious, even if the schnitzel in particular was quite overpriced in terms of value for money. And be careful with the Kaiserschmarrn: one portion was ordered. Vanilla ice cream and applesauce were brought separately to the Kaiserschmarrn, for two people, which at first seemed like a nice touch, until an extra €7 was charged for them. At least some information about it would have been nice.

We went to Mario Lohninger's in the evening during the week and ate the 6th course menu. Upon agreement, one could kindly swap a gear and off we went. Luckily we discovered our favorite Riesling in the wine list, so the evening was a good one. Beforehand, our waiter served a small appetizer from the kitchen and all courses arrived at a pleasant pace. The courses were all very high quality in all areas. We found the good quality of the food particularly positive. When it was slowly coming to an end and our dessert was approaching, the kitchen surprised us again with a delicious sorbet greeting :) I then thanked Mario on Instagram but unfortunately he hasn't replied "yet" :DD but thank you very much and all the best Team keep it up

Simply overpriced for what is offered. The schnitzel was solid, but nothing more. The breading isn't airy enough, the salads are bland. You can find this better in any pub in Vienna. And I prefer to keep quiet about the price of the fry soup. The service was friendly, but cold and distant. I didn't really feel welcome.

Great atmosphere, prices a bit exaggerated

Super delicious food and friendly service. They have the best Kaiserschmarrn that I have ever eaten and is also gluten-free. A dream!

We had made a reservation for a special occasion weeks ago, but upon arrival we were told that we should hurry up with our order as the table was only available for us for 2 hours. We therefore asked whether the 6-course menu was possible during this time, and the answer was yes. After there was no dessert on the table 10 minutes before our time was up, we were asked to move to stools at the bar so that the guests who were already waiting could come to the table. So we had to move with our glasses in hand to a tiny table in the corner next to the entrance, where all the guests and waiters constantly had to squeeze through. In principle, double occupancy is understandable, but the implementation was subpar. If you spend over €150 per person, you would happily finish your meal sitting down (it wouldn't have been a problem to only have three courses instead of the menu, but that's why we asked beforehand). The food itself was great, but given the service and the ambience you can understand that the restaurant doesn't deserve any more stars.

Very polite and kind staff! We ordered Wiener Schnitzel which was tasty along with its side salad and berries marmalade. They serve you pumpkin soup as a starter and slices of bread with butter. The soup was very good! As a dessert, we chose kaiserschmarrn with ice cream. It was ok. BUT as for the prices, I think the restaurant is a bit overpriced on its plates. The bottle of water was quite expensive and when one bottle was over, they kept serving you another with the relevant cost. Until you say it by yourself to stop. We shared the dessert with the other people of the group. They brought extra 4 scoops (small) of ice cream, which were charged with 7€ each. So for one dessert, we have payed 26 (dessert) + 4 scoops (28€). Too much for a dessert!

Unfortunately we received very subpar service. There is probably no drinks menu if you don't want to drink wine. If you then ask, the drinks are not brought to you. Emails following the visit will not be responded to. I would avoid the restaurant because the service is not worth the money. The Kaiserschmarrn is more of a half raw something and has nothing to do with a Kaiserschmarrn from Austria. Not everything should be negative, the schnitzels are good but unfortunately that's it.

The menu is modern and creative without appearing overloaded. The dishes are a perfect symbiosis of traditional flavors and innovative techniques. Every course was a journey for the senses – from the starter to the dessert. I was particularly impressed by the main course: tender braised lamb with an aromatic red wine reduction that literally melted in your mouth. The harmony of flavors and the precision of the preparation were impressive. Not to be forgotten is the wine selection, which was simply excellent. The wine accompaniment to each course was put together with the greatest care and expertise, so that every sip perfectly underlined the flavors of the food. The wine list offered an impressive selection of regional and international top wines, some of which were real insider tips. The service at this restaurant is at a level rarely found. The staff were always attentive without being intrusive and had a remarkable sensitivity to the guests' needs. Friendly, knowledgeable and with a noticeable passion for gastronomy, the service staff made a decisive contribution to this unforgettable evening. All in all, this restaurant offers a first-class dining experience. From the cuisine to the wine to the service – everything is just right here. It certainly won't be my last visit.

Always worth a visit, the food and the ambience as well as the service are excellent. Only the double occupancy of the tables is annoying, following a general trend. Being limited to 2 hours without being asked and being told shortly before the end that the time is up doesn't sit well with Lohninger. We would have liked to try the current menu, but 6 courses in 2 hours was too much stress for us, so we had 3 courses a la carte, which was already tight.

Delicious dishes, typically Austrian and the like. The tastiest Kaiserschmarrn... Attentive service, nice ambience Not cheap, but worth every penny.

The lunch menu available was predominantly seafood, of which I enjoyed both the monkfish and yellowfin sashimi. Of course, my servers were efficient and courteous. I have to return. / This stop for a quick no-reservations lunch was pleasantly rewarded. The restaurant itself has only 16 tables inside a classic formal dining room with high ceilings, custom chandeliers, and otherwise muted decor, and additional seating on the terrace. The available lunch menu was predominantly seafood, from which I enjoyed both the monkfish and the yellowfin sashimi. Of course my servers were efficient and accommodating. A schnitzel is carelessly prepared and thrown onto the plate, a small ball of sorbet melts in a soup bowl... the service staff creates a hectic atmosphere... the store is completely overrated... completely exorbitant prices.

Lohninger in Frankfurt offers an excellent Austrian-inspired menu, with every dish bursting with flavor and authenticity. The warm and attentive service adds to the dining experience, making it truly exceptional. A well-deserved 5/5 for both food and hospitality!

Four of us had dinner and had a wonderful evening with great food and very nice service. Compared to other restaurants in the class, I found it to be far too expensive overall for what was on offer. At first I found it very thoughtful to bring the applesauce and vanilla ice cream in two small portions of a shared Kaiserschmarrn - until I found the second cups on the bill without any notice for 7 EUR in advance - that left a slightly bland aftertaste. My tip – a little more love when preparing and, above all, open information to the guests.

I know Mario Lohninger's handwriting from the Cocoon Club and Hohlbein's times and I was and still am impressed by the craftsmanship and taste sophistication that enchanted us no matter which course. Perfectly seasoned, nothing is missing and it's simply delicious🥰 The service was exactly what I wanted - warm, in a good mood, attentive, not fake and well trained. First of all: The quality and preparation of the food was fantastic. The ambience is also very pleasant. We visited the restaurant with a group of 10 people. We were there especially because of the famous Wiener Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn. It gave us the impression that this was a thorn in the operator's side. At the beginning, the service was quite persistent in trying to offer us additional appetizers, plates to share, etc., even after we declined. The schnitzel was great, as already described. The two salads served with it were also excellent. Overall, not a small portion either. For dessert we ordered three Kaiserschmarrn to share. Without really asking, all 10 people were still served ice cream and apple compote, which of course was also charged for. Some guests had no desire for dessert at all, but okay - it was really delicious. What really pisses us off is how we use water. We ordered two bottles of wine and water. The wait staff is obviously encouraged to pour out as much as possible - as the entire group was refilled every few minutes. Even after dessert, when the bill had already been ordered, another bottle was opened, even though it was expressly stated that no more refills should be given. Charging €12 for a bottle of water is outrageous, even for Frankfurt. A box with 12 bottles of Bad Camberger costs €13, just saying. So the restaurant managed to add €120 to our bill for water alone. A restaurant with such great food shouldn't need to use such methods to drive up the bill. We consistently felt like we weren't really welcome because we didn't order in abundance. It was a weekday and there were still a few tables available, so at my discretion we didn't take seats from guests who would have eaten larger menus. Really a shame.

We took advantage of the Bavarian holiday to have lunch at Lohninger. It was nice and shady outside under the umbrella and the midday heat was easy to bear. When choosing a seat, the waiter gave us the tip to choose another table because the first one would be in full sun later. Class! A glass of Grüner Veltliner from Ott and lunch is relaxed. We chose the menu once and the sole once. The first thing that convinces us is the greeting from the kitchen with a small gazpacho tomato/cucumber. The first catch was the lukewarm chanterelle salad - a poem! Just the right temperature, very nice sweetness/acidity in the dressing - perfect! The main courses were the very good sole with herb mashed potatoes and spinach vegetables. The fish was great, the pü was very tasty and not too buttery with a nice herbal aroma. My highlight was the monkfish in light tomato essence. Brilliantly combined with a few capers and their special aroma. Was exactly my taste - 10 out of 10 points! For dessert, a lukewarm vineyard peach with some ice cream and crunch. That was a real holiday.

Exquisites Essen! Leider saßen wir unter einem Lautsprecher, so dass uns die ganze Zeit unangenehme Musik in die Ohren zischte und dröhnte.

Unfortunately, we found out for the second time that all guests were seated on one side of the restaurant at lunchtime. It is therefore very loud. It is very unpleasant when other guests can constantly stare at the plate. It now feels like you're sitting in a full canteen. For this reason we will no longer visit Lohninger. The coffee for dessert was terribly bad. Given the prices you would expect a different quality! It's a shame, because every visit used to be an event!

Dear Mario Lohninger, Thank you very much for a wonderful evening on your “terrace”. The fact that incredibly good food is created and prepared in your kitchen is known far beyond Frankfurt. But what puts the crown on the whole atmosphere is your excellent team. The wine recommendation for our main course was perfect and even with our miscommunication when ordering the main course, the service was able to sort everything out with a smile. An evening in the setting sun and the view of the skyline in the outdoor area of ​​your restaurant is second to none and is highly recommended. All the best.

My dear Mario, we were thrilled!!! Every course blew us away, from the oysters to the kingfish sashimi, the lobster with scallops and baby calamari, the monkfish, tender, to the point, luckily I also ate the lamb, incredibly delicate and aromatic. I have never eaten as good (gluten-free) as I did in Restaurant Lohninger! Due to the boss's personal experience with gluten intolerance, the staff is perfectly prepared for gluten-free guests. All questions can be answered down to the last detail, there are no uncertainties, I always felt well advised and safe. In advance, gluten-free bread in different versions (e.g. sourdough bread and rosemary focaccia) is brought to the table - a poem, it would be worth going for that alone. We have visited the restaurant several times and everything on the menu is recommended. The gluten-free pasta is excellent, but I have never eaten the meat dishes better anywhere. The pastrami sandwich is a highlight. You won't miss out on desserts either, there are gluten-free Kaiserschmarren, chocolate souflee from another star and other options. In any case, a reservation is necessary; you have to allow for a lead time of around 4 weeks because it is so busy.

Once again with Mario and team. My sister and I visited Lohninger on June 1st, 2024 in the evening. It was once again a very nice evening with great food and very good service. Thanks to the service guys, you feel like you're at home. Wine, speed of the 4 courses (greetings from the kitchen beforehand, and the oysters from Mario in between) it was perfect all around. Great friendly and funny service, exactly how we want it. Plus the best schnitzel ever

Food was good, overall the service was a bit disappointing - perhaps understandable at peak times but it didn't get any better when we were the last ones in the restaurant. Overall, there are better experiences in Frankfurt for this price point.

Top class inn! I got a table at short notice and had a great evening with wonderful food and service. The welcome was very warm, we immediately felt at home. The menu opened with a miso cream with fried asparagus and ponzu - wonderful! Then the wonderfully refreshing tomatoes with a dumpling of burrata and olive oil ice cream. The California Mega sauce is great with it! Followed by, I think it was Yellow Fin or Clip with sensational cherry ponzu! The subsequent monkfish with eggplant and tomatoes was brilliant. You could have spooned liters of the stock in the plate. So good! The lobster, scallop and calamari salad was the most flavorful. The salad of Passpierre, watercress, fennel, gray fruit and orange with the garlic chips and the spicy marinade was sensational! That was really fun and tasted like a vacation. Thanks for that!!! For the main course I ordered the ox cheek goulash. And that was really very good and comes very close to my goulash, nice with lots of onions and a wonderful sweetness and slight spiciness, the meat as soft as butter! Here I would perhaps have liked a lettuce or cucumber salad with it. But so be it. The spaetzle made from buckwheat flour with chives in a beautifully buttery ice cream was great with it. The pre-dessert and dessert were rather simple but of course of the best quality! Thanks to the whole team! I'll be back!

Das zuerst: es gibt klassisch ganze Artischocken zum Zutzeln. Wer das lecker, wie hier, anbietet, hat schon gewonnen. Und die Ochsenschwanzsuppe war lecker, das berühmte Wiener Schnitzel nur eines, aus gutem Material u d umhüllt von fast perfekter Panade. Was zum Teufel auf der sehr übersichtlichen Portion guten Gurken- und Kartoffelsalats zum Wiener der Blattsalat sollte war unklar. Waren die Bestände der allein zugehörigen Zutaten zur Neige gegangen. Der Purist wäre ob mancher Panne schreiend davongelaufen, Blattsalat zu Wiener, wie gesagt. Das Tunfisch - Sashimi als zweite Vorspeise kam zu früh und wurde - obschon kalt - dekorativ vor den noch in Bearbeitung befindlichen Artischocken- Teller gestellte. Die Brotteller mit Messerchen lockten. Es gab aber kein Brot. Erst auf Nachfrage wurden Brote mit Butter gereicht. Den bei Lohninger unverzichtbaren Kaiserschmarren gab es um 22.07 Uhr, trotz Starts erst um 20.30 Uhr nicht mehr. Angeblich war der Teig aus. Die Bestellung anderer Desserts ergab, unerbittlich ist die Küche ab 22 Uhr geschlossen und wer nicht rechtzeitig Dessert bestellt, ist selbst schuld. Wir haben uns mit Aaron, der alle Pannen charmant weg lächelte, auf Schoko-Soufflee verglichen. Anscheinend war dafür die Küche noch erfolgreich zu reaktivieren. Puristen, die Perfektion verlangen, wären ob der Pannen wahrscheinlich empört und schreiend davongelaufen. Uns hat es, weil schmackhaft und weil herzlich präsentiert vielleicht auch wegen des inhomogenen Publikums gefallen. Aaron nehmen wir beim Wort. Bei nächsten Besuch gibt es wieder eine altmodische ganze Artischocke, keinen Blattsalat zum Schnitzel und den fünften Punt.

Please stop writing these reviews here. Mario is a “foreigner” himself and everything else seems racist. The incident will clear up and everyone can be sure that he is open to the world. What you are doing here is also not ok. Racism is wrong and has no place in our society. But character assassination is just as wrong! How wrong is it to fight like with like? No one will ever find a hair in their food. The toilet is so clean you can eat off the floor. Anyone who has been his guest in person will be able to confirm this 100%. Mario doesn't care who believes in whom and who comes from where. It tolerates all religious communities and all people no matter what country you come from... None of us were there during the “incident” and yet this is how we are judged! That has nothing to do with justice...

Finally the time was right and we were able to try out the restaurant. Black Cod, Wiener Schnitzel, goulash for three and rounded off together with the Kaiserschwarm. The latter was important to me in order to remember the right texture for my own experiment. Thanks! Everything tasted great. The price of the fish is slightly too high for me in relation to the other dishes, but the taste is very good. In general, fish prices are rather difficult to estimate, but it is certainly justified. Gladly again.

We are there every now and then and each time we are less satisfied. This is not due to the quality of the food, but rather the fact that some dishes are now very marginal in terms of price/performance ratio. A well-made Wiener Schnitzel for €39.00 in a mini size and with few side dishes (it won't even fill you up) is definitely way over the mark. This doesn't just get better by simply advertising the price of 39 euros as THIRTY-NINE. GOOD THREE STARS.

This place was a homerun. The guy welcoming at the door was extremely nice, took care of the table and got me a drink.. while the waitstaff was very attentive and explained the menu (can do a tasting or a la carte). I did the oysters, tuna sashimi and lobster with ravioli. Was outstanding. Sat on the patio and couldn’t have had better weather. 👏🏼 Great job all around, fantastic expierence

Top food, super friendly and relaxed atmosphere

We went there for dinner on our wedding anniversary. We only treated ourselves to the Austrian cuisine. It was a taste experience. We'll be back Mario ;)

Very good food, attentive and nice Staff. A place to feel good.

Unfortunately we were happy too early, we had booked several weeks in advance for a Friday evening and then got to visit our restaurant in the afternoon that day. the arrogant call that we could only come later from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. When I asked for a call back and whether there were other options, the answer was "I just said we're full." We definitely won't go there again. Maybe the service staff should be trained in how to behave on the phone when dealing with customers, it wouldn't hurt.

….und wieder! Wir waren einfach begeistert von dem Serviceaufwand, von der Küchenleistung und den feilgebotenen Weinen. Wenn man auf das Beste umsorgt werden möchte und die österreichisch verwurzelte „nouvelle Cuisine“ erleben möchte, ist man hier genau richtig. Die Stimmung paßt, die Preise egal, weil Genuß pur! Einfach Pflicht in der gehobenen Gastronomie ohne Schischiattituden!

Ich hatte vor Zwei Wochen bei Lohninger reserviert und wollte mit meiner Frau schön essen gehen und wir hatten und auf einen schönen Abend gefreut. Nachmittags wurde ich aber angerufen das wir nur einen Tisch von 18 bis 20 Uhr haben konnten denn das Restaurant war voll und ab 20 Uhr wäre der Tisch wieder neu belegt Ein Sechs Gänge Menü in Zwei Stunden runterwürgen ist uns dann doch etwas zu viel des guten . Auf meiner bitte nochmal zu prüfen ob man da vielleicht etwas machen könntekam die Arrogante Antwort wir, sind voll aber ich schau mal. Da nach einer halben Stunde noch immer keinen Rückruf kam habe ich selber nochmal angerufen. Antwort wir haben doch gesagt wir sind voll. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nie mehr hingehen.

The service was always friendly and discreetly attentive. The Wiener Schnitzel is unrivaled in Frankfurt and the K&K goulash was a sensation. The Kaiserschmarren was very tasty, but a large portion. The only complaint was two wine glasses with lipstick on the rim

We booked on OpenTable and when we got there they said sadly they had no table. They were amused at our predicament. What an unbelievable place - do not book and expect a table.

Terrible, not recommended at all. Unfriendly, spoiled food and at best an attempt to imitate even a hint of haute cuisine. The rest of the world laughs about it.

Das Essen war sehr gut jedoch ist das Personal sehr arrogant. Zuletzt war ich am Mainufer unterwegs und musste recht dringend auf die Toilette. Das Personal hat mir dies als nicht- Gast sehr unhöflich verwehrt. Daher werde ich dieses Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen... Gibt ja genug Alternativen in der Stadt die auch zu nicht- Gästen freundlich sind!

Schönes Ambiente guter Service mit tollen Gerichten

Ekelhaft dort nie wieder bah musste kotzen

Das Restaurant Lohninger lässt einen mit gemischten Gefühlen zurück. Das Essen ist solide. Punkt. Die Kraftbrühe ist stark und lässt ebenso wie die leckere Salbei-Butter der Käseravioli auf mehr hoffen. Die Hauptgänge liefern gute Qualität, aber nichts, woran man sich lange erinnert. Ein Schnitzel, fettig ausgebacken, ist gut und bewegt sich auf dem Niveau anderer guter Schnitzelrestaurants in Frankfurt (aber keinesfalls darüber). Bei anderen Hauptgängen sind die Beilagen durchweg besser als das Fleisch. Spätestens beim Nachtisch beschleicht einen jedoch das Gefühl, dass solide Küche durch das anspruchsvolle österreichische Ambiente aufgemotzt werden und die Gäste durch vermeintliche moderne österreichische Authentizität beeindruckt werden sollen. Das gelingt leider gar nicht, denn sowohl Service als auch Atmosphäre sind das Gegenteil von zuvorkommend und entspannend. Die Küchengeräusche sind so lautstark, dass das Tellergeklapper und Besteckrasseln keiner deutschen Studentenmensa nachsteht. Mensaflair kommt auch in der Geschwindigkeit der Präsentation der Gänge auf, die forciert angeboten und abgetragen werden. In fast US-amerikanischer Abräumgeschwindigkeit scheinen Tische für mögliche Folgegäste freigemacht zu werden. Wird man versehentlich an einem Stammgast-Tisch platziert, bekommt man das nicht nur am Nebentisch, sondern das ganze Restaurant lautstark mit, dass man falsch sitzt. Nicht nur ein falsch gesetztes Aroma, auch ein respektloser Spruch kann ein Abendessen ruinieren. Immerhin hat die Küche etwas mehr Fingerspitzengefühl als der Service. Auffällig ist insbesondere, dass ein offensichtlicher Service-Unterschied in der Bedienung der Gäste auffällt. Manche werden geradezu hofiert, andere schnell wegorganisiert. Diese Deutlichkeit in der Unterscheidung der Gäste ist in gehobenen Frankfurter Restaurants einzigartig. Laut Website soll man im Lohninger die "Geselligkeit, Fröhlichkeit und Gemütlichkeit in Verbindung mit zeitgemäßen, leichten Elementen" erleben. Nun ist die Geselligkeit so lautstark, dass man ein vernünftiges Gespräch kaum führen kann (aufpassen, wer dort zu einem Date hingeht, keine gute Wahl). Fröhlichkeit ist selektiv (man kann auch Glück haben und vom Service bevorzugt werden). Gemütlich ist es für Menschen, die sich auch in einer Studentenmensa wohlfühlen. Fazit: Wer solide österreichisch essen will, kriegt dort ein Schnitzel mit Kaiserschmarrn. Wer einen entspannten Abend verbringen möchte, ist woanders besser aufgehoben.

Passionierte Profis im Bereich Service und eine sehr gute Küche, dazu ein gediegenes Ambiente - wer gerne österreichische Küche mag, wird hier auf seine Kosten kommen. Selbst in Wien gibt es nur wenige Restaurants, welche beispielsweise so einen guten Kaiserschmarren servieren können - vorzüglich! Der Service ist großartig - aufmerksam, emphatisch, gute Entertainer welche immer eine Antwort parat haben - bis hin zur persönlichen Note mit Familienbegrüßung. Was nicht ganz standesgemäß ist: trotz des hohen Raums ist die Belüftung nicht ganz zufriedenstellend, zudem war das dort bekannte Wiener Schnitzel grundsätzlich gut, jedoch nicht mehr Spitzenklasse, auch der Salat dazu eher uninspiriert, was beim insgesamt sehr hohen Niveau hoffen lässt, dass es weiterentwickelt wird. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal beim Lohninger!

Je nachdem, was man von einem gehobenen Restaurant erwartet muss ich persönlich sagen, dass ich enttäuscht war. Natürlich ist das Essen lecker, gut und die Auswahl exklusiv, aber die Portionen recht klein, sehr teuer und ,um ehrlich zu sein, auch recht fettig, was ich sehr schade finde, wodurch das ganze wieder recht ungesund wird. Auch der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig. Da wir recht spät mittags 13 Uhr reserviert hatten, wurden wir ziemlich schnell abgehandelt, der Vorspeisenteller wurde uns quasi weg genommen, obwohl wir noch nicht fertig waren. Gut, wir hätten vorher schauen können, wie die Öffnungszeiten sind, aber von einem Restaurant in Frankfurt erwarte ich mehr Flexibilität.

Sehr feines Essen und ein sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Die Artischockenblume war wirklich vorzüglich . Das Schnitzel ist sowieso immer ein Klassiker und damit kann man nie etwas falsch machen. Der Kaiserschmarrn es ebenfalls wirklich ausgesprochen lecker und man sollte das beachten bei der Auswahl seiner Speisen, damit nach Platz bleibt. ;)

Feine gutbürgerliche Küche mit gut abgestimmtes Weinauswahl. Zwiebelrostbraten und Wienerschnitzel bereiteten Freude. Die Wirtsstube lud zum Verweilen ein.

Bekannt vor allem für das Wiener Schnitzel. Spezial lecker in schaffbarer Portionsgrösse. Nettes Ambiente. Tische sind in ausreichendem Abstand, sodass Unterhaltung möglich ist. Service zuvorkommend, auch bei voll bestztem Restaurant. Insgesamt sehr nett.

Tolles Ambiente mit österreichischen Spezialitäten! Allerdings stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht. Die Preise sind gehoben, können aber leider nicht mit der Qualität von Edel-Restaurants im Taunus und Wiesbaden konkurrieren. Daher ein Stern Abzug!

Amazing restaurant with very capable service team and phantastic ambiente serving the best Austrian-themed food I have ever eaten. Especially the complexity of the food but with a well chosen balance amazed me. We had the lunch menu, the dinner menu looked even more impressive to me. Clear recommendation!

Einfach nur wow mehr kann man dazu nicht sagen. Einer der besten Restaurants in denen wir waren ! Von Service bis essen einfach alles top !!

Das Essen, Weinkarte, Service und Ambiente sind absolut Spitze. Besonders Personen, die sich glutenfrei ernähren (müssen), werden absolute Freude haben, da alle Speisen (selbst das Wiener Schnitzel) glutenfrei zubereitet werden (können). Absolute Empfehlung!

Als Vorspeise gab es Austern. Diese kamen im Dreierpack und waren wirklich gut. Die Soßen, die dazu serviert wurden, waren jedoch geschmacklich kein Highlight. Natur mit ein bisschen Zitrone wäre hier das Maß der Dinge gewesen. Der Rostbraten war jedoch geschmacklich top! Ich hab schon lange nicht mehr so ein gutes Stück Fleisch gegessen. Der Kaiserschmarrn war super fluffig, war jedoch ziemlich geschmacksneutral und konnte nicht sonderlich überzeugen. Der Service war immer freundlich und bemüht. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend.

Irgendwie war es nicht so ein angenehmer Abend. Die Preise sind schon an der Grenze, zu zweit knapp 300€ mit Trinkgeld, nur dann sollte es auch perfekt sein, war es leider nicht. Am Hochtisch sitzt es sich dann auch nicht ideal. Daher für die Overall-experience weniger Sterne. Schade eigentlich.
