After 20 minutes of ignorance from the service staff we left.

We only had a drink with 4 people, so no food review. There is still room for improvement in terms of cleanliness and service.

We had reserved a table for Easter Sunday evening. We sat by the window - wonderful! The service was quick, the drinks were delicious, especially the Martini rosé Spritz. Unfortunately, the pan with pork fillet and fresh mushrooms had few mushrooms, the steakhouse fries were not very crispy and were in the sauce. We also had veal schnitzel with potato salad, the latter was left behind because it didn't taste good. We would also have liked the veal escalope to be crispier. The beef broth with semolina dumplings, the side salad and the dessert were very good. The restaurant is wonderfully located and has a nice ambience. The restaurant gets a second chance!

Nice restaurant. Great location, right on the market square in Fritzlar. Modern decor, attentive staff, but unfortunately we were a bit unlucky with the food. It was newly prepared, salt was generous in one dish and not enough in another. It actually fits, but we were hoping for more simply based on the reviews.

We had dinner at Nägel and the restaurant left us with a really excellent impression: - The menu is not overloaded, but still offers a very nice selection; each of us could have found several dishes. The focus is on Austrian cuisine, but there is also pizza and tarte flambée. - Very friendly, attentive and child-friendly service. - Remarkably short waiting time. - High quality and tasty food with exactly the right portion sizes. - Nice ambience. - Fair and reasonable pricing. In a word: perfect! Unfortunately, we don't go to Fritzlar that often, but when we do, we'll definitely be happy to come back!

Great restaurant with delicious food such as the fried chicken salad. We've already celebrated a wedding there, but we also celebrated it there in a very casual and cozy way.

Very courteous staff. Actually, we had already made a complete reservation, but the very friendly service staff found a table for us since we arrived quite early for dinner. 1A Schnitzel Viennese style with potato and bird salad. The schnitzel is nice and crispy, the way you normally only get it in Austria. The espresso is one of the best I've ever tasted. The time window of 90 minutes was enough because the kitchen was “on point”. We'd love to come back when we're in Fritzlar.

Good and plentiful food at a fair price. Very pleasant atmosphere and attentive and friendly service. Very interesting selection of dishes and you should treat yourself to the desserts. There are lunch menus during the week (I haven't tried it yet though) And because it's not a given everywhere - the toilets are very modern and clean.

We were here two years ago and were very satisfied. Now we had dishes that were different in composition than expected and the service just said “just try something different”. But I don't like it. But maybe others. The roulade was a challenge.

A very pleasant restaurant with delicious food. You can also just drink a coffee and order delicious pancakes in several variations, it's just a shame that there aren't more cakes (pancakes aren't for everyone.), otherwise highly recommended We would like to come again .

The food always tastes very tasty. When I go to Nagel I usually eat the tarte flambée and the cheese spaetzle 😃The staff is always very nice and accommodating. I recommend reserving a table if you want to go. Otherwise you have bad cards.

Yes, what can I say...we've eaten here several times and it's always been really good. Hence the four stars. Today, however... daily dish: vegetable gröstl with sour cream dip and fried egg. That was nothing! The fried potatoes are cold, also tough, fried to death, greasy. I found the vegetables by chance among about 75% potatoes. Four Brussels sprouts, some what looked like eggplant, a little pepper... all completely cooked to death. Only the salad was fresh. The sour cream dip was delicious, the fried egg was still gooey and half raw. I have NEVER complained about the food in a restaurant. This time I answered the obligatory question “Did it taste good?” answered honestly. Unfortunately, the really nice waiter was completely overwhelmed. My husband's spaghetti dish wasn't much better either. Dear people, you can do better!! Nevertheless...we'll be back, it's nice with you and the service is friendly and attentive.

We really liked the ambience, the service was great and the food was delicious, especially the caramelized goat cheese.

If you want to eat the nails pan (very tasty) you should think carefully about the starter. The Kaiserschmarrn dessert is also very filling.

We were there on a weekday afternoon and it wasn't as crowded as we thought. It's a nice atmosphere. The food was very good and the portion was large. The service is also good. We would love to eat there again.

We just wanted to have a quick tea here. Although most of the tables were reserved for lunchtime, we managed to get a seat. I then decided to have fried eggs and bacon. Delicious. Very nice staff.

It's a nice restaurant in downtown Fritzlar. There are children's meals. The food came very quickly. The food was very good and tasty 😋.

Service and ambience fit... Food was a real disappointment... Price/performance doesn't fit at all... it's a real shame... I won't come back...

Friendly, fast, tasty... Everything fits

Es war schon mal deutlich besser! Bedienung war nett, hat aber sehr nach altem Schweiß gerochen. Finde ich für sie auch nicht toll, dass die Chefin da nichts sagt. Essen kam sehr schnell an den Tisch, noch vor dem Beilagensalat, war aber durch die Reihe weg total versalzen. Sehr schade.

Das Nägel ist ein schönes Lokal, in dem man sehr angenehm sitzen kann und der Service war nettes, junges Personal. Was uns nicht gefiel, war das Schnitzel Wiener Art, welches keinerlei Biss hatte und die Panade war leicht matschig mit wenig Geschmack. Die Krönung war aber der Kirsch-Palatschinken mit Vanilleeis, warmen Kirschen und Schokoladensauce. Als der Nachtisch kam war der auf dem Eis liegende Palatschinken "eiskalt", dafür aber das Eis zu einer Sauce geschmolzen und mit der Schokoladensauce und den nicht mehr warmen Kirschen verschmolzen. Als ich das ansprach kam vom Servicepersonal ein kurzes OK und das wars.

Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal. Sehr hilfsbereit, als wir etwas brauchten um einen Brillenbügel zu reparieren. Essen war hervorragend und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Das Ambiente war auch toll. War zum Abendessen da mit 8 Personen nur positive Reaktion. Sehr gerne wieder

Wir waren das erste mal dort.Wurden nett begrüßt und haben auch ohne Reservierung an Weihnachten einen Tisch bekommen. Das Essen war sehr gut und qualitativ hochwertig und auch schön angerichtet. Das Essen und auch die ersten Getränke kamen sehr zügig.Leider haberte es dann gewaltig beim nachbestellen weiterer Getränke,zwar wurden diese vom Kellner aufgenommen,aber obwohl wir direkt gegenüber der Theke saßen und es allen Angestellten ersichtlich sein musste dass wir leere Gläser hatten kam nichts. Ein Kellner saß während des aufkommenden Weihnachtsgeschäftes seelenruhig an der Theke und machte wohl seine Pause,was ich so in einem hochvollen Restaurant in dem Gäste warten noch nie gesehen habe.Ein neuer Gast kam rein und bekam direkt seinen Cappuccino und wir warteten immer noch auf unseren Cappuccino. Aber dann nach mindestens 15 Minuten kam dann doch noch der erhoffte Cappucino von dem Kellner der die ganze Zeit Pause gemacht hatte. Fazit sehr gutes Essen ,sehr schönes Ambiente,sehr merkwürdige Organisation des Personals was dann leider nicht zur vollen Sternezahl ausreicht.

Ein Gastwirt,aus Österreich, hört sich gut an.Das Ambiente ist es Schon wert dem Restaurant einen Besuch abzustatten . Gegessen haben wir,Wiener Schnitzel,vom Schwein&Kalb. Damit könnte er in seiner Heimat keinen Preis gewinnen. Geschweige denn Gäste. Panate ,fest und hart,nicht Fluffig und weich,wie man es aus Östereich kennt.Muss ich nicht nochmal Essen.

Liebe Bedienung, leckeres Essen und eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Ich hatte das Hacksteak mit Kartoffeln. Ein recht einfaches Gericht, aber geschmacklich hervorragend! Nach dem Essen hat mich dieses schöne Gefühl der Sättigung und Zufriedenheit überkommen, für welches ich gerne wiederkommen möchte. Die Bedienung war nett und es ging alles recht schnell. Ich kann mit gutem Herzen das Nägel weiterempfehlen.

Auf der Durchreise sind wir im "das Nägel" eingekehrt. Somit können wir nur eine Momentaufnahme beschreiben. Da viele Tische schon für den Abend reserviert waren kann man wohl davon ausgehen, dass es den Leuten dort schmeckt. Der Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen fanden wir allerdings etwas enttäuschend. Die Kürbiscremesuppe war wenig cremig und würde geschmacklich von dem Kernöl erschlagen. Die Forelle auf Risotto war ok. Das Wiener Schnitzel allerdings ging gar nicht. Die Panade war pampig und mehlig. Der Kartoffelsalat war trotz Senfdressing geschmacklich tot.An anderen Tagen ist es bestimmt besser.

Waren am Sonntag spontan zum Frühstück da...ohne Reservierung. Der Kellner schaute sofort ob noch etwas frei ist und brachte uns dann zum Tisch.Wir bekamen sehr schnell nach der Bestellung unser Frühstück. Preis Leistung absolut in Ordnung...Tisch und Stühle sauber und Bedienung absolut freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir können es nur empfehlen.

Wir sind unregelmäßig zu Gast im Nägel. Gestern waren wir spontan zum Essen dort. Vorab, wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und gut bedient. Die von uns gewählten Speisen waren qualitativ in gewohnt guter Qualität, allerdings nicht so liebevoll wie gewohnt angerichtet und leider waren beide Gerichte auch nicht heiß, als sie am Tisch ankamen ( lauwarm ). Auffallend sind Kleinigkeiten, es wird zum Beispiel kein Keks mehr zum Kaffee gelegt. Das ist sehr schade. In einem guten Café/ Restaurant freut man auch über genau diese Aufmerksamkeiten.

Gutes Essen zu moderaten Preisen. Sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Habe hier meinen Lebensgefährten das erste Mal getroffen. Und- wir sind immer noch zusammen. In den anderen Restaurants hat es nicht geklappt. 😁

Trevlig restaurang, mysig atmosfär. Maten var mycket god. Personalen mycket vänlig och serviceinriktad samt språkkunnig. Skulle gärna ha fått se en meny på engelska. Men det ordnade sej med den tålmodiga o språkkunniga servitören. Rekommenderar varmt restaurangen.
