That this restaurant thinks it sells Mexican food is disrespectful. My boyfriend is Mexican from Texas!! I had burrito a la enchilada, which had too much cheese and little flavor and no rice. And my friend had the chicken and banana fajitas. He even asked the waiter if there were plantains in it and he said yes (didn't know what plantains were). We got a dish that tasted like piña colada because there were sweet bananas in it. I honestly think it was a cool approach, but unfortunately there just wasn't much information about Tex-Mex or Mexican food culture. You can't just throw "exotic" ingredients together and say it's Mexican. Especially because Mexican food is really good and I think it's a shame that many Germans can't try it and then think what they eat here is Mexican. We also asked the waiters about it and they were very friendly and I just don't think they know any better.

I went to El Gringo with four colleagues at the beginning/mid of December for a small Christmas party. The quality, taste and presentation of all five dishes were absolutely great. Even though the restaurant was full, everything went smoothly with short waiting times. In any case, the price-performance ratio is more than decent. What I personally didn't like was that the noise level was very high and the tables were very close together. I also found the constant running of other guests to the buffet annoying. Therefore only four stars.

If you like frozen vegetables and dry chicken, then you've come to the right place. As a tasteless Nacho with jarred sauce. Nothing is fresh. The cocktails were nothing like what they were supposed to be. Leave the plate and luckily be able to eat a schweinehax somewhere else. Hopefully Mexicans never come here to eat. An insult.

Quaint hotel with a Mexican restaurant. The rooms are very old fashioned, but clean and absolutely fine. Unfortunately, the bed linen was very old and scratchy, but it had been freshly washed. Room 16 was a little louder because the exhaust air from the kitchen made annoying noises. There was a lot of choice in the restaurant and huge portions! The vegetarian quesadilla was tasty but impossible to pull off (see photo). The service was very good, we were often asked if everything was OK. On a Wednesday evening around 7:00 p.m. it was already quite full, so a reservation for several people would be recommended. For breakfast there were 4 rolls for 2 people at the table with a cheese and sausage plate. Coffee was brought immediately and optionally tea too. Unfortunately there is no breakfast buffet where you can take what you actually eat (then you wouldn't end up throwing away so much, similar to the restaurant with the huge portions). Definitely recommended for an overnight stay!

The Enchilada has been a fixture in the old town for years. You can sit inside and outside. The atmosphere is casual, relaxed and modern. The service has always been great. The food is fresh and varied. The cocktails are very tasty.

Auch ohne Reservierung haben wir einen Tisch bekommen und hatten sehr nette Bedienungen. Das Essen wurde trotz extra Bestellungen sehr schnell serviert und war super lecker. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Very tasty food. Unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour for our plate, guests who came after us had eaten before us.

The food has always been very good and we have been coming here for 5 years. The waitresses are always very courteous and friendly. In times of hustle and bustle it can take a little longer to place an order, but the food always arrives in record time. The volume level in the entrance area is too high because the ceiling does not provide any sound insulation. People sensitive to noise will certainly be bothered by this, but I don't care. Overall a very good and recommended restaurant.

We were in the restaurant with a group last Friday and spent some lovely hours there. The food was very good. The service was very friendly. Mr. Akbas was very nice and accommodating.
