I was at El Gringo with four colleagues at the beginning/mid of December for a small Christmas party. The quality, taste and presentation of all five dishes was absolutely great. Even though the restaurant was full, everything went smoothly with short waiting times. In any case, the price-performance ratio is more than decent. What I personally didn't like was that the noise level was very high and the tables were very close together. I also found the constant running of other guests to the buffet annoying. Therefore only four stars.

The food is amazing! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was unique!! Were there several times. Nobody makes steaks as good as El Gringo. We were thrilled every time! Simply amazing!!

The space on the street is very quiet and pleasant. The large room can be a bit noisy with many guests. It's always nice outside in summer too. The buffet is always worth a visit, ideally to try half the menu. Since the restaurant is always very full, it is always necessary to make a reservation. Ordering and picking up is also possible.

Best Mexican in Aurich and the surrounding area probably since 2002, but at least since 2009. We are regular visitors - the spare ribs are simply magical. The Mexican fire soup is also highly recommended. Köstritzer on tap - a pleasure! Otherwise Fajita Cubana, extremely tasty! What's better than the food? The staff! It's always been excellent so far, but today we were probably unlucky. The salads: well, the fillet steak was excellent, the rump steak had far too much smoky flavor, the quality was just short of very tough, the baked potato was exquisite, the fries as a side dish could be counted individually. We have been coming to the restaurant for over 10 years and you can always say delicious food, nice staff and great ambience...but last time was a new positive experience...due to a stomach reduction I can no longer eat much and I told the staff the situation explained...after a short consultation with the boss I was allowed to eat the "all you can eat buffet" at the children's price...we thought that was really great and will come back👍👍👍 keep it up...

In addition to the unfortunately very poor parking spaces, the restaurant offers friendly service and a varied menu. If you go to a Mexican restaurant, you shouldn't be surprised if 9 out of 10 dishes are spicy, but there are also dishes without spice, as well as a selection for children. The prices are average, requests are taken into account and implemented and the food tastes excellent. The starters also offer an interesting selection. On sunny days you can also sit outside on a large terrace, which speaks for itself. However, I have to say that it looks a bit like the early 2000s, where everyone had yellow wallpaper in the kitchen. The bar area is very dark and the dining rooms on either side lack a cozy feel. Mexican decoration can be found everywhere, but unfortunately it looks boring and old and there are too many artificial palm trees. My personal tip would be subtle with some typical warm color accents and warm indirect lighting. Mexicans are passionate, musical and, like their dishes, “fiery”. If you could find these words in the ambience, then it would be perfect!! 4.5 / 5 stars 😊

El gringo is and remains the absolute bestseller among Mexicans in the area. Rarely have we had such good food on the table. A perfect all-round package. The only negative point would be the noise in the location. But that would be complaining at the highest level.

We live in Aurich and have therefore eaten there several times over the years. Everything we tried was very tasty. The platters for two people are particularly recommended, so you have the opportunity to try out various Mexican specialties. However, the Senorita plate can be seen in the photo. The meat is cooked perfectly every time. The drinks, such as cocktails or the house wine, are also very tasty. The service is very well organized and the food is quick, even though the restaurant is usually very busy. It can get very loud in the restaurant, especially with large groups. But a visit is definitely worth it; reservations are recommended in advance.

I ordered a grill plate there with several types of meat, only the spar ribs were buttery soft, I didn't think they were that good, otherwise everything tasted good.

We were here with a group of 16 people. Despite the large crowd in the entrance area (the restaurant was very busy), we were quickly given our seats and the service was also quick. Das Büfett ist sein Geld nicht unbedingt wert hat wenig mit Mexiko zu tun. Die a la cart Essen an den Nachbartischen sahen aber alle sehr lecker aus. Das nächste mal werden wir auch a la cart Essen probieren.

Das Essen war super lecker, das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort. Es hat allen gut gefallen. Toll war, dass wir kurzfristig für eine andere Gruppe einspringen konnten, was in der Weihnachtszeit nicht selbstverständlich ist. Ich gehe gerne wieder hin.

Das Personal war sehr nett jedoch war das Personal vietnamesisch?chinesisch? Was ja gar kein Problem ist, aber das passt nicht so ganz mit dem Restaurant zusammen Sie wissen ja gar nicht, wie es tatsächlich in Mexiko, Spanien oder den anderen Ländern schmeckt Und das hat man tatsächlich auch sehr gemerkt. Das Essen war schön präsentiert, aber das war auch das einzig positive am Essen.

Bewertung musste angepasst werden.Ist schon etwas her ..Seit einiger Zeit gehen wir vier Mädels 1x im Monat überall woanders Essen,um viel verschiedenes auszuprobieren.Heute waren wir hier dann mal im El Gringo. Bei der Essensentscheidung waren wir ein wenig wenig überfordert.Die Portionsgröße ist echt der Hammer.Wir haben uns zu viert 3 Vorspeisen geteilt und 4 verschiedene Hauptgänge,danach 2xEis mit heißen Früchten mit 4 Löffeln. Wir probieren immer alle von jedem Gericht.Geschafft hat von uns niemand seine Portion.Wirklich lecker, das Essen.Die Bedienungen durch die Bank weg nett.Die Preise dafür wirklich nicht hoch.Wir kommen wieder,aber dann wohl nur zum Hauptgang.Vielen Dank für den netten Abend

Die Belegschaft war außerordentlich nett und sehr aufmerksam, es wurde uns direkt ein schöner Sitzplatz angeboten. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und mexikanisch gehalten. Man fühlt sich wohl. Wir haben eine Platte für 2 Personen bestellt, das Essen war schnell angerichtet, heiß und sehr lecker. Wir sind begeistert und können El Gringo weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, das Ambiente ist sehr nett und die Mitarbeitenden ausgesprochen freundlich, zuvorkommend und sehr um das Wohlbefinden der Gäste bemüht, ohne jedoch aufdringlich zu wirken! Es ist sicherlich nicht verwunderlich, dass das Restaurant sehr gut besucht ist! Also wohl am Besten einen Tisch reservieren! Es lohnt sich in jedem Fall!
