Lovely restaurant with delicious food. I've been there twice and everyone enjoyed their meal. If you'd like to reserve a table for a longer period, you should mention this when making your reservation. It's best to park near the central bus station and walk the short distance, as we didn't see any good parking options right there. We'll definitely be back!

After a long break, we went to Nuevo again on Friday evening. Both of us (one vegetarian) were very satisfied. The baked goat cheese and olives started off delicious. Both main courses were excellent. Everything was very well seasoned and served piping hot. We finished with the obligatory Toblerone Mouse and Espresso Noevo. Perfect. The service was first-class, making it a fantastic restaurant visit overall. Very good value for money and highly recommended.

I had reserved a table at the Mexican restaurant "Nuevo." We were assigned a table outside on a terrace. The tables and chairs were on sand, so I didn't find it particularly comfortable. We ordered spare ribs and carne asada castellana for dinner. To drink, we had a glass of red wine, a water, and a large "Duckstein." The carne asada castellana wasn't great. The meat was tough and dry in places. It was served with grilled vegetables and two tortillas filled with cheese. The spare ribs were quite good. But for me, all of this had little to do with Mexican cuisine. In any case, I was quite disappointed.

Mexican cuisine in the heart of Aurich. The food is outstanding. The garlic sauce and spare ribs are particularly noteworthy. The ambiance is pleasant, and the service is very attentive. The value for money is absolutely spot on.

Great Mexican restaurant. The food was consistently good and the service was really good. The lady serving was very friendly and accommodating. The selection of dishes was good, and the homemade iced tea was delicious. I just wasn't that impressed by the shop's appearance, and it was very warm inside despite the moderate temperatures.

The appetizers were very good, especially the pineapple dip, which was surprisingly delicious. The food was generally okay. We had appetizers in between, but the wait for the main course was a total of over an hour.

The best Mexican restaurant in East Frisia with a more functional interior. The service is forward-thinking and friendly. The food itself is excellent, fresh, and, above all, homemade. While colleagues at AUR or EMD cook up a lot of convenience food, here everything is lovingly prepared in-house. Excellent craftsmanship! Update from January 3, 2023: The service is not only forward-thinking, but also truly competent and super pleasant. Thanks for another great evening! Update from June 6, 2023: Tried the BBQ buffet today – absolutely outstanding. Still 5*!!! Update from July 7, 2025: New owners have been running the restaurant for about a year now – people who were previously fully committed to the service department. The transition demonstrates how well teamwork and learning on equal terms can work: The quality remains strong, the concept authentic. The BBQ buffet still has some potential for development – ​​but that's precisely where the opportunity to further consolidate the standard lies. It's impressive to see how dedicated and persistent the work here is. For me, it remains a place that shows what's possible when you pursue it with passion, craftsmanship, and a willingness to learn.

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere, perhaps a little dark, but that's my personal impression. Friendly staff. I'm deducting one star because we called around 5:00 PM when the restaurant opened to ask for a table for two and were somewhat harshly fobbed off. We tried in person anyway, and lo and behold, first there was a table available until 7:30 PM, then it was available the entire evening, and when we left around 8:00 PM, all the reserved tables were still free. They must have had their reasons...

Update: I went there for dinner with my family for the first time in a long time and unfortunately I have to say that it's definitely not worth going back. Everything was just okay, but definitely too expensive. There isn't even a welcome schnapps or anything like that, even though you're dining there with four people. The ambiance has also gotten worse. Absolutely nothing special. Previous experience: Nice ambiance, but unfortunately hardly anyone in our group (20 women and men) was full. Of course, that can't be the goal when going out to eat. For this reason, the price/performance ratio is unfortunately unsatisfactory.

Very good food. I haven't found a comparable Mexican restaurant yet. However, our satisfaction has unfortunately declined somewhat since the change of ownership a few years ago. The fajitas seem to be cooked with more fat, and the Toblerone mousse seems to contain more cream and less chocolate (it was also very thin on our last visit, and the chocolate didn't taste as good as usual). Nice ambiance. Unfortunately, there were too few service staff in the restaurant on our last visit. The takeaway food is also good.

This evening was the third time we've been to this restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the ambiance is lovely. The waiters are super friendly and not at all pushy; it's really pleasant to talk to the people there. My partner had a steak (number 49), which was super tasty and cooked to perfection. I had the ribs, which were also delicious. The starters and the sauces that went with them are a dream. We'd be happy to come back anytime. Thanks to the kitchen and the waiting staff for a really pleasant and enjoyable evening :). It's best to reserve a table in advance. The restaurant is always busy. Highly recommended.

I used to really enjoy going to Nuevo, but I have to say that the quality has gotten worse now. We had the appetizer plate and discovered that the food was extremely greasy. My husband and I had a real stomach ache from the food over the course of the evening.

I had dinner at Nuevo in Aurich and really enjoyed it. I was delighted with this place. The place is cozy and welcoming, with a lively atmosphere. The menu offers a wide variety of Mexican dishes, all made with fresh and quality ingredients. There was Pan con Ali-Oli As a starter in the main course there was the vegetarian taco and for me the house-marinated Duroc spare ribs from the smoker... with a spicy chilli mix made especially for me by the chef made from fresh peppers and oil... oh and first of all there was a greeting from the Kitchen homemade nachos con salsa. For dessert there was the homemade chocolate volcano with walnut ice cream, which lived up to its name, simply delicious. The drink, the Caipicello Spritz, is also worth ordering! The service was attentive and friendly. I would recommend Nuevo to anyone looking for an authentic and quality Mexican dining experience. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Very nice Mexican place central in Aurich. Served two very nicely prepared and presented salads for us. Even as the house was completely packed, the friendly staff found a place for us. Bottomline, clear recommendation for a very good and fair price performance ratio.

There were very tasty non-alcoholic cocktails and homemade lemonades for us. It is always a plus point for us when there is a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks that goes beyond standard sodas and water. The menu whetted the appetite for the well-described dishes. The friendly staff were happy to explain more about it. The starters and main courses we ordered tasted excellent, especially the homemade sauces for tortillas and grilled chicken strips. The restaurant was well attended and many tables were reserved. We were lucky to get the last free table in the “Beach” outdoor area.

The restaurant has long been known for its good cuisine. That was my impression too. The service was first class. As far as the ambience is concerned: the restaurant thrives on the top quality of the food and the adequate service, and probably less on the pattern of its wallpaper.

The restaurant looks as if it had recently been a Greek restaurant. The starter platter for 2 people and the soup were delicious. But the 6 prawns with lots of salad on the side alongside 3 slices of baguette with a bowl of aioli for around €33 were unfortunately not worth the money.

Very cozy restaurant with a suitable atmosphere. The service is super friendly and charming. The food tasted delicious and, as far as we can tell, was even fresh and homemade. We're not from the Aurich area, we were just visiting there, but we would definitely come back to Nuevo! Really good! It's a shame that there are no (such good) Mexicans in our area.

Das Nuevo weißt ein solides, aber nicht übermäßig stimmiges Ambiente auf. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und engagiert. Kulinarisch wird solide und gut gemachte Küche in der Form, wie sich Norddeutsche die spanische Küche vorstellen, angeboten. Ich war damit durchaus zufrieden, auch wenn mir etwas Finesse gefehlt hat. All in all komme ich gerne wieder!

We were very excited about the food! I haven't had such good Mexican food in a long time. The service is attentive and friendly, we also liked the atmosphere of a student bar... just cozy there. We wouldn't order cocktails and homemade lemonades again. Pretty watered down by lots of ice cream and therefore expensive.

In addition to the delicious food, the very charming, competent and funny staff was also a highlight.

That's what I call a great achievement, to still deliver the same quality after years. However, a change to the map would be very nice.

We are here in Aurich over Easter and the Nuevo was recommended to us. Fajitas and burrito were delicious. The portions were plentiful. There were also cocktails and Mexican beer. The cocktails are very good. The service is friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back when we are in Aurich again.

Update: New operators? That's not entirely true, since the two of them had been the right hands there for years. When I heard that the previous operators were quitting there, I was very shocked! Then I heard that Sandra and Sören were taking over the shop and I was sure I would get the same quality. After several tests, I can only confirm that it still tastes just as good and the service is just as good. So the following still applies: You can't do better!!! Great every time. It's best to make a reservation, as quality pays off and the restaurant is often fully booked!

Been there for the first time. Extensive map, everything you need is there. Great value for money. Team very nice and attentive. It's definitely not the last time I've been there. The homemade ajoli is outstanding!

The food is great, you can't really get better food in Aurich, but unfortunately the staff is very unfriendly, the quantities of food are not enough and the prices of the food are also set too high in this regard, much higher than in others Restaurants if you compare the whole thing. The ambience and furniture is also unfortunately poor. With small adjustments to the prices and quantities, a renovation and the hiring of capable staff, the restaurant would easily be worth 5 stars.

Nice service and delicious food.

Sparribs were super tasty, and the homemade fries were also great. Service very friendly. Chicken breast strips with peanuts are also very tasty. Portion very large. Asked if they could pack the rest for me. A styrofoam bowl was then brought to me and my husband fetched another spoon to fill it with. We paid and on the bill this bowl was actually charged €1.00. I personally find it disgraceful. Maybe I should give the bowl back. Maybe I can get a deposit on it.

Ich war mit meiner Familie im Nuevo und es ist unser neues Lieblingsrestaurant geworden. Portionen zum statt werden, tolle Qualität und ein perfekter Setvice. Dazu ein angemessenes Preisniveau (nicht günstig, aber angemessen). Wir werden schon bald wieder kommen.

Klasse Location, super gemütlich, tolle Speisen und Tapas , spitzen Cocktails. Reservierung erforderlich .. lohnt sich immer 👍🏽 Immer gerne wieder

Waren dort zu zweit zum Abendessen. Leider wurde uns ein Platz direkt beim Eingang zugewiesen. Dort laufen natürlich permanent Leute vorbei und es war zudem grausam von der Akustik her. Da die Wände kahl waren, hat alles gehallt, sodass man sich kaum unterhalten konnte. Das Personal war etwas unaufmerksam, sodass man öfters erinnern musste. Die Enchiladas schmeckten muffig und konnten somit nicht aufgegessen werden. Leider sind wir dieses Mal von den positiven Bewertungen enttäuscht worden aber wir gehen hier wohl nicht nochmal hin.

Bij aankomst bleek er geen plek te zijn anders dan om 20.00 uur terug komen en tijd van aankomst was half 7..dus dat werd het niet .we liepen de straat uit en werden ineens geroepen...een tafel kwam vrij wat waren wij blij 😄😄de bediening kon prima Engels praten en ook meedenken voor eten voor onze dochter van 7...wat hebben wij hier HEERLIJK gegeten!! Veel meer dan 5 sterren waard!! Top bediening die regelmatig langs komen om te vragen of alles naar wens is..echt heerlijk ja voortreffelijk gegeten!! We kregen ook een bakje mee om het mee te nemen want het was zoveel lekkers..ben je hier in de buurt ga hier eten en je zal zeer tevreden het pand verlaten.
