Anyone who knows real Mexican food will not be satisfied with this store. Very bad burritos I've never eaten such bad burrtios, unfortunately I couldn't even finish them so you have to imagine that. And paying a lot for it is a shame.

We have eaten here several times now. I can only recommend it with all my heart! The waitresses are all very, very nice, the food is top and the drinks are just as delicious.

We were there with three people. In the cozy surroundings it was difficult for us to choose due to the very diverse menu 😅 The attentive service provided us with drinks and was super friendly. The food was really great! The portions are decent and the taste is A1! There was even a digestive drink afterwards on the house! 👍🏼 That's not available everywhere anymore. We also spent the time after the great meal in a pleasant atmosphere and with good drinks! Conclusion: If you want Mexican cuisine then you have to go here!! Thanks for the lovely evening!

Went there spontaneously this evening I'm really surprised to find such a good restaurant in my hometown. The food and service were excellent, people always asked if you needed anything else. Very friendly & competent service! Overall very positive experience.

We were there for dinner yesterday. Unfortunately, I didn't like my food at all. I had the Burrito Supremo. The salad with balsamic dressing didn't suit my taste. Unfortunately the portion was a bit small for me. For €21 I would have been happy to be full. Overall, my companions enjoyed it. The ambience was nice and the waitresses were very nice.👍

I don't know what the chefs do with the meat here, but all the meat is buttery tender and the dishes have an indescribable taste. I ate the most delicious meat dish of my life here. I ate at this restaurant years ago, but I can still taste the pleasant aromas in my mouth today. Warning: The restaurant can be addictive due to its perfect flavors and wonderful atmosphere. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ein Riesen - Kompliment. Ich war nun erst das 2. Mal im Mexcal, aber schon beim 1.Mal war ich überzeugt davon, dass dies nicht der letzte Besuch war. So geschehen am 26.12., Weihnachts-Lunch mit gesamter Familie. Und jeder ausnahmslos war begeistert. Wir freuen uns schon aufs nächste Mal, wenn wir zu Besuch aus Spanien sind. Vielen Dank!

Ordered twice and really wasn't good twice. The food arrived warm but it really wasn't worth it. We ordered different things twice. There wasn't enough food for the price and some of it didn't seem that fresh. The taste was also rather average. Price performance really doesn't fit and we are really disappointed.

For me one of the best restaurants in Hildesheim.

The steak and the side dishes were nothing special, they were okay, but I've eaten much better. The ribs were a complete disaster! They were served cold and the BBQ sauce tasted like it came from the supermarket. All in all we were disappointed.

The waitress was really horny. Had the Mexcal plate. Meat was good and juicy. But I would use something else because I was missing the side dishes. The other things all looked really good. Come again.

Average Mexican cuisine, my rib was cold, which was promptly exchanged after being informed. The two of them ordered tequila on the house. 👍 5 stars for the service, I've experienced it differently. The rest of the food was really great, juicy and well-seasoned meat and crisp, fresh salad. 👍

The restaurant was cozy and packed in the evening, but the service could be much better. We sat very centrally but were overlooked or forgotten several times. The food was ok so far, I had the vegan burger with fries.

We were in this great Hildesheim restaurant on the occasion of a special birthday and are completely satisfied. Great atmosphere, actually very friendly and attentive service from all the staff and the food surprised us! A culinary delight and also wonderfully prepared and presented. BUT: it was yesterday, September 25th. From 9.30 p.m. it was a we're about to get off work. People asked about the last round, they had already cashed in and the mood was palpable: when are they finally leaving...Actually it's open until midnight, according to the homepage. This doesn't add up!! What a shame!!

Our short-term reservation by email worked well. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our food came quickly and was really tasty. There is nothing to criticize. When we are in Hildesheim again, we would like to come by again.

We are here today after a long day of swimming and are completely thrilled by the ambience and the feel-good effect. The service is friendly and courteous and very quick, we didn't have to wait long for a drink or a meal. The food is super tasty, I haven't eaten this good in a long time. Portion size is more than worth the price. Would love to come back...

Always great and delicious food! We always enjoy the food from Mexcal, something was forgotten on the last order and the delivery driver came by himself and without asking to apologize and also gave us a dessert on the house.

The price has gone up - like everywhere else. Even if it seems a bit more expensive, the price/performance is still right. The cocktails on offer are also super tasty. It has to be said that not every cocktail tastes good to everyone. But that is logical. Every person has their own taste. We have rediscovered MEXCAL and feel comfortable there. We really enjoy going there. Will serve there irregularly and regularly. Especially since, to be honest, the options in Hildesheim are becoming scarce. As sad as that sounds. Conclusion: The large fluctuation in the staff and the significantly (for the worse) changed menu make me distance myself. There are enough other catering establishments that I don't have to support. I still go there, but much less often. Even if you can have more of a relationship with the service staff after a charming evening. Feeling good is slowly coming back. First time in town, found this unique restaurant by chance. Really good Mexican food (I have lived in Mexico). Very welcoming staff, nice decor, friendly and helpful. The food had a hint of German, it just got better from this. A place I would like to visit again. Large and beautiful menu card, with everything. Thank you for ending the week / holiday with you.

Ordered 5 different dishes and all of them were very tasty and plentiful - there were doggy bags☺️! The waiter was very quick and attentive even though the place was packed on Friday evening. Cocktails are a dream🤩; Drink prices are pretty hefty, but that's how money is made. Still 100% recommendation!

I can't rate the food, but I can rate the service. The table reservation worked without any problems; However, it was not possible to cancel it again with the fifth, unanswered email. This is all the more incomprehensible when restaurateurs rightly complain when reservations are not canceled. Not good behavior.

For a change, we tried Mexican cuisine. Chilli con carne was excellent, with fried cheese on top, nicely served as you can see in the picture. The service was at the level, the restaurant was very full, so we were lucky to find a place. I definitely recommend a visit to this lolal

We treat ourselves to a visit to Mexcal for our birthdays. Reservation works well online. The staff is organized, friendly and attentive. There is an extensive food and drink/cocktail menu. The food comes promptly. If something is wrong while eating. then let us know immediately and the complaint will be resolved ad hoc. Thanks for that! There's nothing else to complain about in terms of taste. It's a little noisy and a little dark for us to eat. No reason not to come back though. Until then 🍹🥩🦐🥗🌽🌶️🌮

Hello from East Frisia, Awesome. We ate Mexcal when our son visited. Very large portions well prepared. The meat and the great dipping sauces were simply a hit. The waitress had a lot of time for us. The music 🎶 in the background was very subtle so that you could have a good conversation. An all around great evening. Thanks to the great crew!!!! The prices are amazingly NOT excessive... We come to the restaurant and ask for a place for two people, not reserved. The waiter goes to check. Meanwhile, two more guests come in. Ask another waitress for a table for 2, not reserved. Both waiters stand in front of the monitor and look for free tables. Our waiter comes back and sends us away because everything is full. And the guests behind us are offered a table. What is the decision made here? This is impossible behavior. And when I mentioned it, I was rudely sat at another table and told: only 2 hours. Without words, I'm sure I won't leave any more money there!

The food was ok, had to reorder something due to an intolerance And this was Promptly even more expensive. Due to the high rate again in 2024, hardly anyone can afford it. There is no justification for making the food so expensive. If it's worth it then it's probably worth it I'm not coming back! One gentleman was very accommodating, probably the shift manager

After a long time we were back at Mexcal. Unfortunately the service was subpar. After arriving, we and the neighboring table were ignored. After waiting half an hour, we asked at the counter to place our order. Absolutely unacceptable. In between we didn't ask if we would like any new drinks. A drink order was completely forgotten. Only after asking again did the order finally come. When billing, only one invoice was presented, even though we wanted to pay separately. Conclusion: Food was good, unfortunately the service was subpar. Our waitress seemed listless and indifferent. No real apology for the numerous omissions. We won't be going there again anytime soon.

Wir waren am Silvesterabend dort und haben hervorragend gegessen und getrunken. Der Service war aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Preise sind absolut angemessen, bei der Qualität zahle ich das gern. Vielen Dank für den netten Abend, wir kommen wieder!

Wir waren nach längerer Zeit an Sylvester mal wieder im Mexcal und waren alle sehr angetan Die Qualität der Gerichte war durchgehend gut, der Service angenehm professionell und aufmerksam Die Atmosphäre war ruhiger als zuletzt, was wohl auch an einem etwas gesetzterem Publikum lag. Die Preise wurden erhöht. Aber mir ist ein gutes auch an Feiertagen geöffnetes Lokal mit höheren Preisen lieber als eins, das gar nicht mehr aufmacht oder einen schlechten Service bietet Einziger Wermutstropfen war ein nicht trinkbarer Margarita, weil das Eis zu grob gecrashed war
