In all honesty, I do not really understand why this place is this popular. The food is fine, but it is nothing to write home about. Same goes for drinks. Comparatively, the prices are also somewhat high if you do not order during happy hour. What is kind of annoying is how full this place gets. As you can imagine, it's usually really loud in here, which may be a minus when it comes to atmosphere. Service is a mixed bag, depending on the waiter. In particular, there is one waitress who speaks quietly and has a bit of an accent and gets upset when you ask her to repeat herself. All in all, this is a halfway decent restaurant, but if you ask me, you will most likely have a better experience in most other places.

Typically Mexican: loud, tasty and good. Great cocktails, delicious food, not expensive - fully recommended

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Not very spicy 🔥 but for the German consumer should be ok. The waiter offered me 🫴 a hot sauce but it was the "European" hot. However the steak 🥩 was very tender and tasty. I also recommend this restaurant

Went to Enchilada for the second time yesterday. We had made a reservation beforehand, but ended up arriving an hour early. We let us know at reception and were still allowed to take a seat. Super friendly staff and a great, lovely employee who served us the entire time. The food and drinks were delicious and the menu was probably renewed. Now you can see much better what the names are all about. Without asking Google first. 😄 We'd love to come back next time we're in Hanover. :)

Quick review delicious food but noisy atmosphere

The name does not match the decoration of the place, nothing to do with Mexican culture and the food... edible! But it is far from resembling Mexican dishes, I had a burrito and was very disappointed.

A bit loud. Instead, delicious food and tasty cocktails. Service carefully asked if we would like to order something shortly before the end of happy hour.

Went here and ate here for a birthday dinner at the request of the birthday child.

With a probability of <0.08% one 5 is rolled after the other (4 times in a row). I'm not entirely sure about the dice... A friend rolled 5 three times. This really raises questions. Maybe I'll just go play the lottery...

Great store with great value for money

I've been here very often and every time the service is extremely friendly. The drinks are also beautifully decorated. Subtle but fitting. The Pina Colada has super delicious coconut chips with cocoa. I can only recommend this. The food tastes very good too! I like coming here.

Mexican restaurant with a varied menu. We would have found a lot more than we could fit in. The food was great and flavorful in such a way that no matter what you order, not everything tastes the same. Not every Mexican restaurant can say that. The friendly and extremely attentive service was outstanding.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant it was very pleasant and i loved the music! The service was somewhat questionable because of waiting too long to get seated but still very friendly for those who have allergies it can be tricky but still manageable! The food is okay the burgers are fine… the burrito had a chemical taste to it (cheese maybe) but the highlight was the fries very good!! Gluten free options can be available!

Although the waitress pointed this out to us when we entered, the food and drinks went really quickly. Unfortunately my Cuba Libre wasn't that great. The food was super delicious and a lot. Keep up the good work again.

The burritos tasted like porridge

We were there on a Friday evening and the atmosphere was loud but it was nice and fun. We took the nacho plate and a can of frozen daiquiri. Very broad food food options

If you want to drink delicious and cheap cocktails (max. 6 euros), the best place to go is Enchilada on Thursday. Because on Thursday you can roll the price of your cocktail here and pay 2 to 6 euros instead of 8 to 11 euros (depending on what you rolled).

Food is always very tasty. The selection of food and cocktails is large. The atmosphere is inviting and the service is incredibly friendly. We were there with a child in the early evening. The timing was perfect as it was still a bit empty. The restaurant gets more crowded around 8 p.m.

Super leckere authentische Küche, lob an die Küche das Essen war wirklich ein Highlight. Hervorragender Service der selben bei einem ausgebuchtem Lokal noch die ruhe bewahrt und sich wirklich Zeit nimmt.

Preisleistung schon sehr frech. Vier sehr kleine Stückchen Knobi-Brot (sehr trovken) ohne dip für 4,50€ schon sehr happig. Auch die kleine Portion pommes für 6,50€ finde ich schon etwas frech.

The Enchilada has been a fixture in the old town for years. You can sit inside and outside. The atmosphere is casual, relaxed and modern. The service has always been great. The food is fresh and varied. The cocktails are very tasty.

We were there on Friday and the service was incredibly bad. The gentleman who served us (3 days of beard and dark hair) simply accused us of stealing a candlestick, even though there was never one on our table. Disrespectful, such behavior!

A great restaurant with Mexican cuisine…the food is delicious and so is the homemade lemonade… Very comfortable and appropriately furnished. A great atmosphere, especially when it gets a little darker 🫶 The staff was also great…very friendly even when they were at full steam… The prices aren't exactly cheap, but I think they're still reasonable...others have similar prices. It's best to reserve in advance... Definitely worth a visit...Everything was great👍🫶keep it up

Light and shadow in the experience At first glance, the store impresses with its beautiful ambience and lots of seating, which offers enough space even when there is a lot of visitors. The clean toilets are a positive feature, a plus point even when there are a lot of people. The food was tasty and quite enjoyable, but unfortunately the cocktails left a lot to be desired. There was hardly any alcohol in them and even after asking, this was not satisfactorily remedied. Instead of offering an alternative or adjusting the drinks, the waiter simply explained to us how much alcohol was contained in the cocktails - which I found to be very unprofessional. The suggestion to swap drinks was also rejected, which unfortunately didn't make the impression any better. The overall experience was disappointing. Conclusion: You can definitely visit the shop for food, but I wouldn't recommend it for cocktails and won't go there again. It's a shame, because with a little more accommodation the impression could have been different.

Edit December 2024: The food is still delicious. The normal cocktails are quite small. The ones at happy hour are good. The burger was very tasty. Always happy. Original review: Good cocktails, delicious food. Prices are hefty, but happy hour makes it work. The waitresses are nice. I can recommend the Cloud 9 Cocktail.

Starter ok. Enchilada con Carne is a mush, like Lassange with refried beans. Cocktails small, lots of ice, little content. Cutlery is apparently in short supply. After two hours you are thrown out. The price and cable are no longer right...

A really great experience at Enchilada. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean and the sanitary facilities were very hygienic. The atmosphere is simply fantastic and the design and interior with warm colors convey a touch of Mexican culture - really inviting and authentic even for children. The drinks and especially the tequila cocktails were great. The starters in particular were very tasty and the portions were generous. The steak was well cooked, with wonderful accompaniments, and the guacamole was to die for. The tacos were a little greasy, but the rest of the meal was absolutely great. Gute Cocktails, leckere Fajitas, macht Spaß hier essen zu gehen. Tolles Ambiente. Mein Sohn (11) ist begeistert und nennt es sein Lieblingsrestaurant.

Ich fand es super im Enchilada. Die mexikanische Küche trifft genau meinen Geschmack. Das Lokal ist modern eingerichtet und die Bedienung zügig und stets freundlich. Der Geräuschpegel ist ziemlich hoch, was insbesondere meinem Mann nicht gefallen hat. Die Portion Pommes für 4 Euro, die unser Sohn hatte, hätte ruhig größer sein können. Meiner Meinung eher optimal für einen geselligen Abend mit Freunden, als für einen Familienausflug.

Ich war zum 3.x im Enchilada. Es war wie immer alles super. Leckeres Essen, Leckere Coktails, Super nettes und zuvor kommendes Personal.

Cocktails don't taste good!!! Ordered Zombi and Long iland ice tea and have had better Cuba libre. Not recommended!!! Nachos were forgotten and arrived after about 45 minutes.

We had come to this restaurant several times before Covid and remembered it as a very good and somewhat authentic Mexican place with great drinks and food. Unfortunately, since then it seems that something has been lost… Service: Our server (a very nice Asian lady) was very attentive and polite and left us a good impression. However, the staff at the door left us waiting for a few minutes so they could finish their (obvious) training of a younger server. I do not understand why this would be allowed... why keep the customer waiting like that (we had a reservation and the place was practically empty)?? And why was the very first thing that she told us "you must vacate the table within 2 hours"... how rude!! Be more polite please!! Drinks: still fairly good but way overpriced. The Margarita was only average and the size of the drink was very small for the price (considering it was full of ice cubes too) ... what a disappointment! Food: Again, very average dishes for such high prices, and the servings were too small, we honestly left the restaurant feeling a bit hungry! Maybe a good suggestion would be to fill the plates with "standard" extras, like rice, a little salad, condiments, etc and allow the customer to order extra sides if wanted... my friend ordered the Burrito without any sides and it just came plain on the plate with nothing else! Same with the Cheeseburger! So in order to fill the plate the customer should order the extra sides himself, and this of course adds to the price!! THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT WAY TO DO THIS!!! Usually in a Mexican-Texan place you expect big portions and plenty of food on the plate! So the "cheap" cheeseburger goes from a relatively average 14 euro to more than 20-23 when you add the extras! Also, try bringing the basic tortilla chips with two dips to the table as a standard (again, most Mexican restaurants do this!) , you can charge it some way of course but it gives patrons the good impression and something to nibble on while they wait.. The beef/meat proportions was lacking in all of the dishes and the cheeseburger was dry and tasteless (and too small) PLEASE IMPROVE YOURSELVES GUYS, IT WAS MUCH BETTER BEFORE COVID, and please train your servers to be more customer oriented! What a shame that you have somehow ruined our good impression of this place from 2018-2019

Würfelabend immer spassig, allerdings haben wir eine dreiviertel stunde gewartet trotz Reservierung bis wir an unseren Tisch durften und der Service war ein wenig langsam, was aber zu erwarten ist am Würfelabend. Würde den Abend insgesamt mit 7-8/10 bewerten.

The reviews promise nice food and drinks but the food sucked. We were a table of 6 and everyone ordered atleast one thing from the menu - specifically the Pollo Taco, the chicken Quesadilla, chicken burrito were bad. We ended up eating fries to get by. The burrito and Quesadilla were blund and dry, the tacos had a source with a particular bad taste, I couldn't finish the second one.

Ich habe nur eine Beanstandung. Ich finde es nicht gut, dass Tischreservierungen ein Zeitlimit von 2 Stunden haben. Diese Zeit ist viel zu kurz und man fühlt sich gehetzt weil man ständig auf die Uhr schaut. Essen/Trinken super. Service sehr freundlich. Musik etwas zu laut.

Atmosphere was good but unfortunately such a disappointment as the cocktails are not good at all! Classic margarita taste really bas, worst I’ve had in a long time, definitely doesn’t have fresh lime and I would avoid at all costs. Frozen passion fruit margarita just taste like sugary juice with no alcohol! One waitress also kinda rude but would defo go back for a beer as good atmosphere

I recently visited this restaurant and absolutely loved it! It starts with the warm welcome - without asking, my dog ​​was given a bowl of water and a few treats, which was really attentive. We sat outside and thanks to the heaters we were able to enjoy the mild evening air without freezing - great service! The service was always friendly and always had a smile on their faces. What was particularly positive was how patiently she explained the menu to us and helped us choose. This made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The cocktails were also a highlight – the Margharitas in particular blew us away! Fresh, delicious and perfectly mixed. All in all a perfect evening, we will definitely be back. Absolutely recommended!

What do waiters actually do for a living? We stood there for 20 minutes to get a seat. After 2 waiters walked past us several times and a waitress kept direct eye contact while drying her cutlery. The restaurant was hardly busy at the time and the service was hardly noticeable. The food was solid, but not good either. But the service was really inattentive and they were more concerned with other things than taking care of the customers.

I'm Mexican and wanted to say that the food is not at all authentic. So if you want to go to an authentic Mexican, go to Wolfsburg Zinnyas, it's really authentic. Been to zinnyas a few times and the food there is 10 times better than here. Don't want to be too hard on the restaurant but there are better Mexican restaurants
