I really haven't eaten Labskaus for half my life, but I've been able to eat some in different regions a few times... and I ate the best ones at "Bei Schotti". Friendly service and a nice ambience round off the good overall impression. Clear recommendation.

Die Lage des Restaurants ist großartig. Man hat einen schönen Blick auf das Wasser. Der Besitzer spricht wenig Englisch, aber er war geduldig genug, um unserem gebrochenen Deutsch zuzuhören und es zu verstehen. Das Essen ist traditionell deutsch und in Ordnung. Wir wussten bereits, dass Bargeld in Deutschland noch immer König ist und viele Geschäfte keine Kartenzahlung akzeptieren. Als wir jedoch bezahlen mussten und der Gesamtbetrag 150 Euro betrug, hatten wir nicht erwartet, dass wir auch das in bar bezahlen müssten. Wer hat denn so viel Bargeld bei sich, dachten wir. Der Besitzer fand es ganz normal und schickte uns zu einem Geldautomaten, der zum Glück in der Nähe war. Als wir zu Hause waren, stellte sich heraus, dass die improvisierte Quittung, die auf ein Stück Papier geschrieben war, nicht stimmte. Es waren 10 Euro zu viel berechnet worden. Der Preis, den man als Gast zahlt, weil ein Restaurant nicht mit der Zeit gehen will?

For breakfast at 7 a.m. a freshly prepared fried fish sandwich. Perfect. In terms of price, there isn't a big difference to the North Sea restaurants in city centers. Minus the one euro for the SaniFair voucher, the roll cost me €3.99. That's absolutely fair if you compare it with the usual prices at motorway service stations and gas stations. I don't know what you mean by small portion and large portion, but it's no wonder that you're closing several branches and that this one is always empty when I come. Nice restaurant with a Frisian flair. Unfortunately there was an extra charge for pomnes instead of fried potatoes (fried potatoes without bacon were not possible according to the service staff). Einrichtung typisch Gosch einfach sehr schön. Essen war sehr lecker. Personal war das bisher unfreundlichste was ich bei Gosch erlebt habe. Die arabisch wirkenden Personen haben mich bei den Bestellungen sehr mißmutig und grimmig angeschaut und kein Wort dabei von sich gegeben. Dann via digitaler Bezahlung auf dem Bildschirm noch nach Trinkgeld zu fragen finde ich dann doppelt unverschämt. Unfreundliches Personal und ich bestelle und hole das Essen selber.

Man kann schön draußen sitzen, es sind große Sonnenschirme auf gespannt. Fand ich gut gegen tief fliegende Möwen. Das Essen war gut und reichlich.
