Absolutely crazy! Extremely rude employees, you get the feeling that they would rather get rid of you than serve you. Food overpriced, you have to walk to the grill yourself and wait forever. Zero service, there's just nothing positive to say. Better eat somewhere else!

For a Hefeweizen 6.50... you have to be able to afford it. Would have liked to try the food. But unfortunately only cash payment! An absurdity in this day and age!

We went to Gosh last night and wanted to eat good fish in the sunset again. Of course the location is great and so far we have been satisfied. But yesterday the guy at the checkout probably preferred longer conversations with the 3 girls in front of me than taking orders quickly. And when it finally came to my turn, they were out of pasta. What I don't understand at all, on a Sunday at 6:30 p.m. How can you calculate so badly??? Well... and no one came for drinks either.

We were there yesterday with a larger group. Unfortunately the beer was “stale”. Pointed this out to the waiter. No feedback. 0.75 liter bottle of water cost €8.50 Phew... What kind of surcharge is that on the purchase price????

There wasn't everything on the menu. The overpriced tarte flambée had no sour cream and was completely unseasoned. The worst and most expensive we have ever experienced. The fried potatoes were oily and completely without any spices. The fried fish was good. Staff uncoordinated and overwhelmed.

We were there today eating as a family and were really looking forward to the food, but unfortunately the mood changed very quickly and the food was totally bad, whether it was the fish dishes or the meat dishes. I thought the worst thing was that they offer potato salad made out of buckets next to a deep fryer and serve it to customers outside. It was easily 28 degrees next to a deep fryer and next to a grill surface the salad is inedible in seconds. If you know the name of Mr. Gosch with carries and advertises then the food should look and taste reasonable, we are used to something different from the gosch chain and have always been satisfied. We would have even cooked the food we were served better at home. No card payment possible, there is an ATM but normal card holders have to pay a fee for credit cards. The nice ladies also charge 50 cents to visit the toilet. The first and last time in Düsseldorf at Gosch

Impudence!!! I have been a Gosch customer for many years. But so far always in the restaurants by the sea. Now I was in the Gosch Restaurant am Rhein in Düsseldorf for the first time and was horrified. Everything that normally characterizes Gosch was missing!!! The employee who took the order was incredibly unfriendly and unmotivated. When asked about a possible card payment, he reacted irritably. Although it didn't say anywhere that payment was only possible in cash. There was no proof either. The food wasn't even close to the standard I'm used to from Gosch. The fish wasn't cooked through, there was no decoration and the potato salad came out of the bucket (Vierlande). Never again!!!!

Service at the checkout was unfriendly No card payment Fish soup used to be a soup that contained fish, today two fish soups contained two pieces of fish and lots of greens. The fish savings were compensated for by a significant price increase compared to previous years. Economically brilliant, stupid in the long term. You should avoid this location.

Last weekend at Gosch. Famous name, nothing behind it. The herring on the roll had nothing to do with fresh herring. They tasted like packaged herring that you can buy at a discount store, they were pink and the consistency was strange. The rolls weren't tasty either, we recently ate fish rolls at the Landungsbrücken in Hamburg, fantastic. We also visit the Netherlands very often and know how fresh herring is gutted and served. Absolutely no comparison to whatever it was at Gosch. Never again.

I can’t review the food because we were not able to eat! We waited for 30 minutes before anyone care to see us here, the place was pretty empty and we were just ignored! Never there again, I don’t think we fit the aesthetics from the place.

Simply the tastiest herring rolls far and wide!

Unfortunately, I was unlucky with the service today. Given the hot temperatures and there were hardly any shady places - so I had to sit in the sun first - I asked for water with ice cubes. I was then generously given 1 small ice cube in a 0.3l water glass! I would have liked to order something else to drink after the meal - which was nothing special - but the waiter didn't show up for ages. It wasn't until the next table ordered that I was able to ask him to join me - I had previously seen him bring a small water glass full of ice cubes to another table... So I tried my luck again and ordered an Averna - on ice, please. At first he didn't understand Averna. Then he said it would be served in a small shot glass. Then I asked him to serve it in a larger one - what's the problem? It then went back and forth and since I was on the verge of hyperventilating, my stomach was rebelling and I was therefore unstoppable because I supposedly hadn't said please, I slapped him with €5 and thus ended my visit to Gosch - certainly mine 1st and last one there - he didn't say thank you for the tip either....

If you find a table right on the promenade in the evening when the weather is nice, you will experience a great sunset with a beautiful view over the Rhine to Düsseldorf-Oberkassel! With the usual very tasty fish dishes and the great drinks service: everything is highly recommended! The three of us had a great evening here on July 24th, 2024 🍷🥂👍

Very poor performance. The service behind the counter was unfriendly, card payment was not accepted (but there was no notice anywhere), the plate on which the food was served was long past its time (long crack and a corner broke off) and if you allow yourself, When you go to the toilet as a guest after eating, the cleaner bluffs you in advance to say "fifty cents".

This Gosch branch is a big disappointment. Quality and service is terrible and unworthy of bearing the name GOSCH. It feels like a deceptive package. Mr. Gosch should distance himself from GOSCH Düsseldorf as quickly as possible or take action to remedy the situation. Training at GOSCH on Sylt may help the Düsseldorf operators. We invited friends who didn't know GOSCH in Düsseldorf to a meal they knew about GOSCH. The disappointment was very great. In this respect, we will steer clear of GOSCH Düsseldorf in the future. Impossible waiter, orders are not accepted as desired, tips are simply assumed and added directly to the bill amount (more than 10%!), unfortunately really poor service

Update afterwards... We like to come and enjoy the view of the Rhine and relax with a glass of wine. The food is also very tasty. Even though it is very busy, I can't complain about the service. He is always friendly and helpful. Addendum July 19, 2024 We were spontaneously given the chance to have a child-free evening. Since we knew that there were fireworks at the Rhine Fair, our first thought was to go back to our favorite address, Gosch Düsseldorf. After a journey that was somewhat plagued by traffic jams, we were looking forward to a glass of wine in our favorite Rheinterassen restaurant. When we arrived we were just able to get a table. Unfortunately, for the first time we were really unlucky with the service. Our waiter was beyond rude and actually ruined the first 20 minutes of my evening off. As we have often done before, we wanted to take advantage of the recommendation of a bottle of Pinot Grigio wine plus a bottle of water. To which Keller (slender, tanned, gray with a gray beard) asked...are you serious? I ask...isn't he good?? The waiter continued with the words...I don't care...you have to drink it... The order came after a few minutes and I wanted to ask the waiter if there was also an offer with rosé wine. His answer... we don't have room for bargain hunters here and I went straight on... I've never experienced anything like that before .. For the first time, I decided not to tip, not to let this baseless insolence be offered to me and not to let it ruin my evening. When the waiter came to collect. He just said he had to collect. We asked if his shift was over and someone else would come. The answer is no, he continues, he just has to cash in. When I asked how much he got from us, I gave him exactly the amount without a tip... The comment...that was clear... Then I blurted out...I said...If the service is nice, then tips are welcome. Maybe he'll do his job a little better...His answer. I am always nice. (We could actually tell at the other tables...with us, why not...so only if you don't accept an offer you don't get stupid comments?) I just replied that in his opinion there was no room for them here is, don't give a tip either...he wouldn't have said that and he meant it completely differently and left again. We had never experienced anything like this in numerous visits. Luckily, we subsequently received another very friendly waiter and first-class service, which was also acknowledged with a generous tip. We'll be happy to come back and won't let this waiter serve us again in the future. Unfortunately I will have to adjust my rating. Last but not least..we had recently eaten fried fish in the Serengeti Park (Hodenhagen)..it was significantly better than at Gosch..from the presentation to the cheap roll (Gosch)..sad for Gosch but it was..

We've eaten in Gosch restaurants many times but never as bad as here. You couldn't tell me which fish were on a mixed fish plate. The fish was extremely dry and no longer fresh. The waiter extremely unfriendly. At least you can say thank you when you get a tip. We're not used to something like that from Gosch

Went to Gosch's in Düsseldorf today and were very disappointed...we each ate a fish roll and had the impression that it was from the day before. Unfortunately, we know it differently. Has probably worn off.

The place is beautiful with the coastline and furniture etc., but even though it is an open area, the smell of oil frying seafood permeates the whole place. Unpleasant to sit for long periods of time. The waiters have the courtesy of standard German waiters.

According to the menu, €6.50 (!) per beer, the waiter demands €8 because it is a “special month” because of the European Championships and that he will not rewrite the menu because of increased beer prices. Impudence! Left the restaurant after an argument with the waiter. Potato salad tastes horrible, prices overpriced, had to wait 30 minutes for our beer.

The waiter was fabricating prices, and became very angry and used explicit language at four members of our group when we questioned his adding up. Chips good!

An absolute failure for Gosh. Overpriced and poor quality. For me it has nothing to do with the original Gosh on Sylt. €18.50 for a baked potato with salmon. No salad, not even a lemon. One of the worst in this city. I witnessed a waiter throw the menu in a customer's face because he told him that he didn't have cash and that he could pay with a card. The waiter became furious and told him that what he had to do was withdraw money from the bank. The customers stood up and said he was leaving and the waiter confronted them and they almost came to blows. A real pimp who, if it had not been for the education and patience of the clients, would have ended up in the Ring River. De lo peor de esta ciudad. Presencié como un camarero le tiraba la carta a un cliente en la cara porque le dijo que no tenía cash y que si podía pagar con tarjeta. El camarero se puso como una fiera y le dijo que lo que tenía que hacer era sacar dinero en el banco. Los clientes se levantaron y dijeron que se iban y el camarero se enfrentó a uno de ellos y estuvieron a punto de llegar a las manos. Un auténtico chulo que de no haber sido por la educación y paciencia de los clientes habría acabado en el río Ring.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever experienced in terms of service. My friend had obviously reserved a seat and was already waiting for us at the table. However, the security guard at the entrance stopped us and told us to call my friend so he could come pick us up. I did, and when my friend stood at the door, the security guard still wouldn't let us in and made up all sorts of excuses: “Why didn't you get together? Why didn’t you come three hours earlier?” Are you kidding me??? May I ask if our reservation is a joke? To everyone who comes to GOSCH and wants to party with their friends, I would like to say: If you don't want to ruin your party, then don't come here.

Food okay. Rude waitress who begged for a tip. What should I tip for if I have to pick up the food myself? And no card payment is accepted. For an international city like Düsseldorf, it's simply embarrassing for tourists or people coming to the trade fair from abroad.

Gosch: always worth a trip! Quality is the same as on Sylt. It's practically like coming home.

VERY VERY VERY BAD.. Food is much more expensive than the quality. Tastes like it's a few days old. Employees very rude and just bad. And gave us a crab meat dish that was really smaller than a child's face and didn't taste good. Black tiger shrimp also very bad. Never again!! Don't waste your money...

Shrimp dry. You can't do frozen fried fish of poor quality, half a lobster about 20 grams of meat and fried potatoes either. I've had one bad experience.

Two dishes were ordered, one with fried potatoes. When the beep sounded we received 1 dish with salad as a side dish. When I asked, the fish was simply put on another plate where there were already fried potatoes on it (these were cold and white on one side and black on the other). The second dish was then prepared in front of me while I held the plate with dish 1 in my hand. Of course it was cold when I got to the table. Food wasn't spectacular. I've eaten in better Gosch restaurants. Portions not appropriate for the price. As many have already reported, card payments are not possible. According to the employee, this is probably the case in all restaurants at the casemates. Unfortunate in 2023, as there are now providers where the fees are kept within limits.

The worst gosh I've ever visited. No ambience, unfriendly service, food carelessly prepared and only lukewarm. The pager was probably broken, so it was up for pickup and we didn't know it. The worst gosh I've ever been to. I always order Thai noodles at Gosch, but here for the first time the noodles were totally soft. It's also a bit more dull in appearance than the other Gosch I know. Nice location at the Düsseldorf casemates. Drinks OK in terms of selection and price. Nice view of the Rhine and the Rhine meadows. Because it was very crowded we had to wait longer for the meaning.

2 stars for the beautiful place in the winter sun - otherwise unfortunately poor, overwhelmed and unfriendly service. Of the 10 glasses, 5 don't arrive at all and the remaining 5 are unfortunately dirty including old lipstick stains. Ordering the new glasses took another 30 minutes - at least they were less dirty. As soon as the sun gets higher again and you can enjoy the sun somewhere else, I would avoid this place again - it's actually a shame, because the place on the Rhine is really beautiful. Of 2 fried fish baguettes, one of the fish was not cooked through.

Ich hoffe Sie erinnern sich noch an mich. Als Sie mich lautstark niedergemacht haben, weil ich "Ihre" Toilette benutzt habe. In Düsseldorf ist diese Toilette allgemein als öffentlich bekannt. Ich habe mehrere "Gäste" von der Toilette kommen sehen und bin natürlich dann auch gegangen. Beim Rausgehen empfing mich der Chef (?) und ein indischer Angestellter, was ich denn hier verloren hätte. Die Klospülung würde 4.500 Euro kosten und nur Mitarbeiter dürften auf die Toilette. Achso! Für die Mitarbeiter kostet die Spülung keine 4.500 Euro? Ziemlich schlaues vollautomatisches Toilettensystem, das den "Benutzer" erkennt. So eine unfassbar unfreundliche und dreiste Welle zu machen, wie Sie, Herr X, ist eine absolute Frechheit. Schon alleine, weil bei Ihrer regen Aufregung, die Sie 20cm weit entfernt von mir abzielen, etliche Spucktröpfen auf mich flogen. Da hat auf jeden Fall einer die Corona Hygienebestimmungen noch nicht so ganz auf dem Schirm. Absolute Frechheit. Es ist nicht meine Schuld, wenn Sie nicht in der Lage sind ein Schild anzubringen, dass die Toilette nicht genutzt werden darf. Gott sei Dank haben es genügend Leute mitbekommen! Beste Grüße!

Wir haben Thainudeln mit Garnelen bestellt. Wir bekamen Penne in einer etwas schärferen Tomaten-Sahnesauce mit Garnelen. Eine Unverschämtheit! So würde man das eben machen.

Der beste Laden den es in Düsseldorf gibt....Wenn man am Rhein verweilen will

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter und sehr leckere Essen. Pizza Döner war mega.

Wir hatten herzliches Wetter und haben bei Gosch sehr gut und lecker gegessen. Die Bedienung der Getränke (haben das Tagesangebot der Weinkarte angenommen - Flasche Wein plus Flasche Wasser für 26€) war sehr nett und das Essen (Folienkartoffel mit Garnelen) wurde frisch zubereitet. Man muss das Essen selbst bestellen und abholen. Was für uns kein Problem war. "Kleiner" Salat, der sehr groß ausfiel für knappe 9€, Folienkartoffel mit Sauercream und Garnelen für knappe 15€. Okay, es geht mit Sicherheit auch irgendwo preiswerter, allerdings nicht bei einer so tollen Aussicht. Direkt an der Rheinpromenade! Wetter war mega für Anfang Oktober. 25 Grad und Sonne. Toiletten sind vor Ort vorhanden. Neben Gosch ist eine tolle Cocktail Bar.

Super Stimmung, lockere Leute. Gutes bayrisches Bier vom Fass. Essen war in Ordnung!

To be honest - the atmosphere makes the food better than it is.

Prima locatie. Je zit lekker aan de rijn. Wijntje en watertje prima. Calamares is meer deeg dan vis. Gegrild krabvlees verdrinkt in de saus. Weinig krabsmaak dus. Serveerders vreselijk onvriendelijk. Voor 1 witte wijn en 1 water moesten we €10,30 betalen. Volgens de serveerder klopte dat. Maar snel betaald en onszelf beloofd dat we hier nooit meer terug zouden komen. Vermijden deze toko

Der Ort ist sehr schön. Das Essen ist eine Katastrophe. Es ist im Endeffekt eine teure Pommesbude. Die Getränkepreise liegen im örtlichen Rahmen.

Tolle Lage, nette Bedienung und Atmosphäre

Um freundlichen mit Arbeit kein Respekt Sogar eine Stern ist zu viel wenn es null geben würde hätte ich null geben ❌❌❌❌

Die Mitarbeiter sehr unhöflich und überfordert sogar ein stern zu viel und das musik auch sehr laut und unpassend

Toller Standort, schlechtes Essen. Aber damit muss man sich wahrscheinlich abfinden, wo jeder als ‚Koch‘ eingestellt wird, der schonmal Eier gekocht hat.

In meinem Leben habe ich noch nicht so schlechte Nudeln bekommen wie bei euch. Als deutschlandweit bekanntes Restaurant sollten die Köche vor Ort wenigstens die Grundlagen der Nudeln beherrschen. Wie man es schafft, gleichzeitig labbrige und total knusprig schwarz abgebrannte Nudeln auf einen Teller zu bekommen, wird mir von nun an wohl ein ewiges Rätsel bleiben. Vom von Knorrpulver völlig überwürztem Geschmack will ich gar nicht anfangen, in der Sorge, dass ich dieses schlimme Geschmackserlebnis nochmal durchleben muss. Sorry ,aber für mehr als ein Fischbrötchen reicht es wohl bei euch nicht.

Keine Kartenzahlung möglich, das ist ein absolutes No-Go. Küche machte einen ziemlich schmuddeligen, schmierigen Eindruck. Würde dort keinen Fisch essen. Die Kellner sind freundlich und schnell im Service. Bier gut gezapft und lecker. Der Weißwein zu warm, nur mit Eiswürfel okay. Das Essen war lieblos zubereitet. Ein echter Neppladen in perfekter Rheinuferlage.

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem leckeren Snack für den kleinen Hunger zwischendurch. Leider entpuppte sich das Schnitzel als absolut ungenießbar und verursachte bei mir sogar Übelkeit. Es war wortwörtlich zum KOTZEN! Zusätzlich mussten wir das Essen zweimal umtauschen, da das Schnitzel nicht durchgebraten war. Das Personal und die Köche waren äußerst unfreundlich und unverständlich, als wir die Reklamation vorbrachten. Es ist frustrierend, Geld auszugeben und sich dann noch rechtfertigen zu müssen. PS: sorry fürs Kotzen! Bier war aber lecker!

Nette Location mit schönem Ambiente

Die Lage an der Rheinpromenade ist das einzig Überzeugende, das Essen unterirdisch, die Toiletten die schlimmsten, die ich seit sehr langer Zeit gesehen habe. Schade ums Geld.

Service unambitioniert, Wein nicht gut. Die Austern waren schlecht geöffnet, haben geknirscht und waren scheinbar mit Salzwasser übergossen. Zitrone war in Scheiben geschnitten, völlig ungeeignet zum Ausdrücken. Sehr schade 🙁 Es gibt bessere Plätze zum Essen.

Gosch bietet an anderen Standorten besseren Service

Das Essen war auf Touristik zugeschnitten. Zum Teil muss man sein Essen je nach Gericht selber abholen. Die Musik ist für meinen Geschmack etwas zu laut. Mir hat es trotzdem ganz gut gefallen.

Leider das schlechteste Essen das wir je bei Gosch gegessen haben. Der Fisch war total trocken und ist leider 2x gestorben. Diese schlechte Qualität kennen wir von anderen Gosch Filialen gar nicht. Wir gehen eigentlich gern da essen.

Seit einiger Zeit sind wir nicht mehr hier gewesen...sehr positiv überrascht! Toller freundlicher Service und das Essen war super 👍🏼 Matjes Brötchen - perfekt! Unter 4 Euro, eine große Ofenkartoffel mit Salat und frischen gebratenen Pfifferlingen für 15 Euro! Richtig lecker und sehr gutes Preis Leistung Verhältnis. Hier an der Promenade mit Blick auf den Rhein zu sitzen, ist immer toll! Selbstbedienung, Essen selbst bestellen an der Theke, dann gibt es einen Pieper. Die Getränke werden am Tisch bestellt und gebracht. Ausschließlich Barzahlung...

Das Essen war gut mit toller Aussicht auf den Rhein.

Ich bestellte ein Gericht mit Kartoffelpürree. Den Teller erhielt ich, nachdem der Fisch auf den Punkt gebraten war. Als ich jedoch den Püree essen wollte, merkte ich, dass er steinhart und eiskalt war. Ich fragte, ob das so sein soll. Daraufhin ging mein Teller in die Küche und ein blonder Koch im Muskelshirt ohne Mütze oder Haarnetz rannte mies gelaunt durch den kompletten Küchenbereich, um eim Kartoffelpürree aus dem Kartoffelstampf ohne Gewürze zu machen. Leider war er so mies gelaunt dabei, dass ich den Pürree nur mit negativen Gedanken essen konnte. Der Fisch war nach den 10 Minuten rumrühren auf der Grillplatte natürlich komplett durch und trocken. Als Entschädigung für die Wartezeit bekam ich noch ein paar Garnelen dazu. Meine Begleitung hatte das Essen natürlich bereits essen müssen, da es sonst kalt gewesen wäre. Das nächste Mal, wenn ich Fisch will, geh ich zum Markt, aber bestimmt nicht mehr hierher.

Der Standort ist super schön, insbesondere an einem warmen Sommerabend. Das Essen dagegen ist mies und entspricht absolut nicht dem Gosch Standard. Weder der Grillteller noch das Lachsteak waren gut. Beide Gerichte waren nahezu verbrannt und geschmacklich fade. Sehr schade für den Preis….

Also das Essen ist echt schlecht geworden , von fünf Bestellungen gab es zwei Gerichte nicht. Bei der Folienkartoffeln mit Hering war gerade mal ein halber Hering bei. Die Scampi waren wässrig. Das war nix, und für den Preis einfach eine Frechheit.

Es war alles gut Getränke kalt , der Service sehr freundlich.

Bedienung unhöflich, keine Kartenzahlung. Joar, ne. Eher nicht nochmal.

Überhaupt nicht mit Gosch auf Sylt oder woanders zu vergleichen. Die Bedienung und der Verkäufer waren sehr unhöflich! Die Soße von den Thainudeln war sehr dünn, wie mit Wasser verdünnt. Die Nudeln waren innen nicht durch. Viel zu wenig Scampis! Nicht zu empfehlen! Kartenzahlung war auch nicht möglich!!!

Der Standort lebt von der Atmosphäre am Rheinufer. Der Service ist sehr personenabhängig mal launisch, mal gut. Das Essen gleichbleibend gut, die Preise sind eher hochpreisig aber im Rahmen. Alles in allem ein tolles Erlebnis direkt an der Rheinuferpromenade in den Kasematten.

Haben uns heute sehr drauf gefreut ! Leider war der Düsseldorfer Fischteller ein wenig übersichtlich. Fisch ok. Garnelen 2 Mini Stck Echt schade. Wir kommen trotzdem noch mal wieder!
