Don't go there. After dinner we asked the bill. As I would give the waitress Gordana her 'Trinkgeld' I gave her 75 eu as completion of the order. This, was not enough. Big hassle and vague arguments about she needed 10% as normal. And talks about 30% tax etc. As my busband and I had a good time and spirit in Dusseldorf I gave her some small extra and we left forever this bad place.

The view was nice, but the service was very disappointing. The waiter seemed to take advantage of tourists. • Cash only – but they push you to use the ATM inside the restaurant, which has a terrible exchange rate (even worse than the airport) plus extra transaction fees. It almost doubles the cost of your meal. • When the ATM didn’t work, we waited about 20 minutes before they finally allowed us to pay via PayPal directly to the waiter’s account. He then calculated everything at almost double the price. Overall, it felt like a scam rather than genuine hospitality. Be very cautious if you visit.

We were there for a few aperitifs. Once inside, we saw that they were supposed to have strawberries with ice cream. When we ordered, the waiter replied that they were out of stock. Shortly afterward, we decided to order a cheese platter for €29, but were told they'd have to see what was available. The cheese platter was solid. Unfortunately, we only noticed that it was moldy when we got to the last piece. Since this isn't always obvious with cheese, we smelled it and were able to confirm it. We had to pay the full price, with the explanation that the cheese had just been unwrapped, and normally the entire packaging would be full of mold. A tip for the kitchen: sometimes a tiny hole from transport is enough to cause mold ;)

I can't understand the good reviews at all (probably fake): Good location on the Rhine, but unfortunately an extremely unfriendly and racist waiter (an old man with a cap). First of all, he made us wait 30 minutes before we could order, even though we'd asked several times and he'd seen us. In a condescending tone (and that for a waiter), he told us to relax as customers and continued chatting friendly to other customers, sometimes over us. When we were finally able to order, he yelled "China??!!! CHINA?!" in English, even though I'd been speaking to him in German the whole time. After he brought us the beer, he immediately took our money (he didn't do that to other Germans). Due to his discriminatory behavior, I decided not to tip him. He simply disrespectfully threw the coins on the table. As we stood up and left, he shouted "Nihaoo Nihao" after us with a hateful look. A real old racist waiter. No sense of service, but expects a tip. Reflects some of the problems in this country... To all foreigners with self-respect: please don't go to this store. There are plenty of other German shops that welcome Asians. Oh yeah, card payments aren't possible either; we shouldn't support that kind of thing in 2025! Never again.

⭐ Cuisine: 5/5 ⭐ Service: 0/5 Overall rating: 1 star I eat out very often and have experienced an incredible number of restaurants through my job in trade fair construction, as a driver, and privately – and I've never had an experience like this. Anyone who knows my Google account knows: I almost exclusively write positive reviews because I appreciate fine dining. But I have to share what I experienced here. First, the positive: The food was truly outstanding. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the chicken, which unfortunately fell off the first time, was freshly prepared again – top notch! I can only say thank you: 5 stars for the kitchen. Now for the negative – and this was an absolute shock: The waitress crossed a line when paying at the end, something I've never experienced before in all my years. The bill: €179. We rounded up to €180. That's already a hefty sum, and tipping is still voluntary in Germany – a thank you, not a requirement. But then the waitress sat down and lectured us about how she had to give 3% to the kitchen, how it was outrageous that we weren't giving a "real tip," and how we should be happy we were even served. Under pressure, we then increased the bill to €185 – and still all we got was a cheeky "I would have expected more." And that's completely unacceptable! Such behavior is disrespectful, intrusive, and completely out of place in a restaurant. Tipping is and remains voluntary – it's an expression of appreciation, but never an obligation. Putting guests under such pressure is an absolute no-go. My conclusion: • Food: excellent, clear recommendation. • Service: absolutely unacceptable. • Overall: 1 star, because such behavior overshadowed the entire evening. A plea to management: Please speak to the service department urgently. This is driving away regular customers and damaging the restaurant's reputation – and it's completely unnecessary, because the kitchen delivers truly outstanding quality.

Friendly service. The end. No card payments accepted in 2025, and they didn't warn you about it beforehand. Instead, there's an ATM in the restaurant with expensive fees. The worst place of our stay in Düsseldorf. The drinks are watered down and taste old, the glasses arrive lukewarm, the service is definitely not friendly or helpful, the waiters are inattentive, and to top it all off, the boat in the fleet sometimes played loud music, which was in addition to the music from the terrace, which sometimes cut out as well. In short, we left disappointed with a headache to boot. Wasps also ruined our time with friends, even though it was the best entertainment we had there. @lvs.kid

This morning, I went to the Weiße Flotte with my grandparents for coffee. The staff is very friendly and humorous. They were very understanding of my fear of wasps and came to my rescue with humor and goodwill. The latte macchiato was also delicious and great value for money. I'd be happy to come back again, and once again, a big thank you for your efforts against the wasps and the fun time. ☺️🍀

Amazing setting but worst experience ever. Felt that the waiters take advantage of tourists. The waiter actually said only cash to “fork the tax man” They don’t take card only cash. No facilities to tap. They have ATM machines that charge huge conversion rates. They try and up sell aggressively to things that aren’t listed on the menu and the service is rude! Never had such a bad experience ordering a drink. Oh… and when you finally do get cash to pay they claim they don’t have any change.

We were there yesterday around 7 p.m. We discovered that they only accepted cash payments (quite questionable), but we ordered good food and drinks. Since we didn't have much cash with us, we couldn't tip much. He coldly called us back and aggressively handed us the remaining change, saying we could keep the money, but he had to give the kitchen €3.50, and that it was outrageous that we were giving him such a small tip. At the waiter's insistence, we tipped via PayPal. This place is dubious and dangerous; we are considering legal action, and the place should be thoroughly investigated.

We had a very disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow, we waited almost an hour for a very simple dish, which arrived cold. To make matters worse, the waitress was aggressively demanding a tip, despite the unacceptable service. They informed us that we cannot pay with card only in the end and advised to use the atm near to the place, which was really expensive. We were truly shocked. After waiting forever, the waiter only came to our table after we called him five times (!) – completely annoyed and disinterested. In the end, he simply took our change without asking – as if he was automatically entitled to the tip. When we pointed this out, he suddenly became really unpleasant and rude. We were there on Saturday. There were four of us. At first, we were told that the benches at the small table were for five or more people. When we asked why several benches were occupied by a maximum of three people, we received no answer. My husband ordered a coffee. Shortly after, an employee came and told him that they were no longer serving hot drinks. This wasn't the case; we noticed that hot drinks were constantly being sold out. It makes you feel a bit like you've been made a fool of. Apparently, the beer he ordered cost more. They forgot the cake for our daughter, and it only arrived later when we asked for it. When we paid, the change was simply pocketed as a matter of course. Since it was only 70 cents, we didn't say anything, but it still shouldn't happen and we should take it for granted.

Our visit to the Weiße Flotte was unfortunately disappointing. The waitresses were unfriendly and the service overall inattentive. We found the bill handling particularly problematic: Firstly, the prices didn't match the menu – an Altbier, which was supposed to cost €6.20 according to the menu, was charged at €6.80. When we asked about this, no comprehensible explanation was given. Secondly, a higher amount was charged upon payment without further ado – apparently in the form of an uncoordinated "tip." We consider this borderline and not customer-friendly. The bill was generously rounded up. Card payments weren't possible either, although this was obvious. Transparency and polite handling are the bare minimum one should expect. Therefore, we unfortunately cannot recommend the Weiße Flotte.

Nice view, but that was it. I ordered the Wiener schnitzel with fries and salad, along with a Coke. It was a very warm day, so waiting 15 minutes for a drink wasn't so nice. After 45 minutes, the food finally arrived. Ready-made schnitzel (breading stuck to the meat, not fluffy like it should be). The fries were simply placed on the plate and the seasoning poured over them, making the schnitzel completely oversalted. And the lovely salad was just chopped vegetables with oil poured over it. No seasoning. I paid almost €30 for that. I would have preferred to go somewhere else. Absolutely not recommended!

Unfortunately you have to give one star. Very bad (tourist) rip-off. Good thing we're not tourists. Four of us were there on Saturday afternoon. The service was quite unmotivated and inattentive the whole time. When paying, we were abruptly informed that the bill amount of almost 78 euros "doesn't include the tip. I need 2% for the bar". I'm sorry, what??? We then asked the manager, her reaction was "I'm telling the truth." When we asked her to show us where this “fee” was mentioned on the menu/drinks menu or elsewhere in the location, she quickly scratched the chart. This borders on fraud. Caution. And always check the bill carefully if someone gets lost there. Unfortunately, the casemates are now a “no go area”.

Ended up having to use their "convenient" cash machine that charges 25% currency conversion plus a big cash withdrawal fee. Luckily it was only 3 beers... it ended up costing 33 Euros. The White Fleet Restaurant is something different, you sit on a ship on the water. We got drinks, so I can't say anything about the food. The drinks were good. The toilets are clean. There is also a logge down by the toilet.

Do not go here. As mentioned by other reviewers, they will rip you off. We ordered a couple of drinks, they don't present a receipt and over charge you. When we confronted them about it, they used a phone calculator to calculate it again very vaguely, going from 60.30 to 52. Later on we realized this was still about 8 euros too high. Ripping off people is bad enough, but it takes a genuinely bad person to keep ripping you off as they are caught. From the other reviews here and on other websites, this is apparently how they do business.

Weisse Flotte is on the Rhine, with outdoor seating under cover. There are heaters for colder weather. They have an extensive menu, that I included in the pictures. I had the steak with baked potato and salad. The meal was so massive that I took it back with me to the hotel for dinner. One thing to plan for in advance… they are Cash Only. The sign is very small, so you might not notice it. Luckily, I always carry at least 50 EUR, so I was prepared. The service can be slow, but waiting for the meal was well worth it. Everything was perfectly prepared. The waiter spoke enough English to help me with my order. I really need to spend more time with Babbel.

It would have been nice if we had been served. Sitting at the table for two cigarette lengths, more than one waiter looked directly at us and moved on. Apparently there is no need to serve guests there. We can actually only rate the beautiful ambience on the Rhine, we weren't treated to the rest. Yes, the weather was nice, yes, it wasn't empty, but there were enough waiters and there were still enough tables available. It's a shame when you don't need the money from guests! We moved one house further and had really great service, great ambience and really delicious drinks! Don't always sit right where everyone wants to sit!!!

Caution! Unfair billing and hidden fees We visited this restaurant as a group and unfortunately discovered that questionable methods were used here. Additional drinks that we had not ordered were added to our bill. We were also charged a service fee. I strongly recommend checking your receipt carefully to avoid such surprises. Beware, rip-off! The waiters often charge for drinks that you didn't even consume!!! Happened to us twice. The first time you think it's a coincidence, but unfortunately that's the system here. At least we'll never go there again!

Avoid this place! Took 20 minutes just for staff member to take our drinks order. It wasn't even busy. Then took another 20 minutes to bring the drinks out. However, spent over 15 minutes talking to another staff member. When we asked for the bill. No card payment accepted. Just about had enough cash to pay. The staff member then asks for more money for himself as a tip. Disgusting behaviour! Not even homeless people beg this much. Hope this place is paying taxes. Cash only! Hmmmm, very suspect. My tip, is to be quicker next time, stop wasting time chatting and don't be rude.

NEVER AGAIN! We were there to eat, and it took forever to even get served, even though it wasn't very full. After we ordered, it took over an hour for our food to arrive. (After asking again where the food is) Then we were brought completely wrong dishes that we hadn't even ordered, so we let the food go back and waited another 45 minutes until the correct dishes were brought. The waiter didn't get anything baked and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. In terms of taste and quality it wasn't great either, but the prices were completely exorbitant. The food wasn't worth the money! After we had eaten we wanted to pay, but there was no staff in sight! So we had to get someone from the kitchen to pay. The waiter who served us before didn't know what we had ordered, nor did we receive an apology for this poor or no service. The service is better in every McDonald's... Overall very unfriendly and completely unprofessional! The young man seemed completely unsuitable for the job as a waiter there. The only “nice” thing was the ambience and the location of the restaurant right on the banks of the Rhine. We will never go there again! Very disappointing.

We were looking for a place to have a drink and something to eat during our city visit. It was 30 degrees so we could use some refreshment. We sat on the terrace against the quay, under a canopy. It was too hot there. But we had ordered drinks so we stayed seated. When we urged to leave and asked the waiter for the bill, he brushed us off. We kept waiting, and waiting.... Many people arrived but were not helped in time so they left again. In the end, the man calculated in his head how much we had to pay, without a receipt.... out of date.

Last Saturday we stopped by this restaurant to treat ourselves to a little cooling down, but then the waiter came and told us that there had been a cash register malfunction and that we would like to find something else to do. So far so good, anything can happen, but when getting up my husband tripped and fell on the wooden anchor. He sustained a laceration to his head and bruises. The wound was bleeding profusely but the staff did not feel responsible for any activity, such as providing sterile compresses, a calf pack or even a glass of water. No, we helped ourselves with tissues, called an RTW and organized a glass of water ourselves. My sister-in-law was even ignored by the boss. Incomprehensible! I would like to expressly point out that none of us have consumed alcohol before. We just wanted to show our visitors Düsseldorf. Great impression of hospitality

Count every item you order carefully because the bill will be at least twice as much as what you ordered. Don't let them intimidate you. We were 19 people and I had to ask everyone what they consumed and wrote it down on a napkin. The bill went from 1300 eur to 600 eur

They tried to cheat us! The invoices are issued incorrectly, especially for groups, and attempts are made to enforce incorrect prices and numbers of food/drinks. Only cash payment possible so that you don't have to pay taxes. AVOID!!!

It is so different what you see in the pictures!! So small, two single two-floors beds! Without WC and bathroom in the room!! No space, unfriendly and no parking!

Food is ok, but only card payment possible. Cash is not accepted. It doesn't work at all.

Don't go there. After dinner we asked the bill. As I would give the waitress Gordana her 'Trinkgeld' I gave her 75 eu as completion of the order. This, was not enough. Big hassle and vague arguments about she needed 10% as normal. And talks about 30% tax etc. As my busband and I had a good time and spirit in Dusseldorf I gave her some small extra and we left forever this bad place.

After a painting class at the hotel, we had a lovely evening on the restaurant's terrace. Sabri provided very friendly and attentive service. The food was good, and the ambiance was very pleasant.
