Annoyed and overwhelmed waiters. You are simply ignored as a table if you dare to ask after 30 minutes whether you can order. Superfluous if you expect more than just a seat

Absolutely rude waiter who didn't serve us for over an hour because we asked if we could order after 30 minutes of waiting (without drinks). After an hour without drinks we were told we could go somewhere else if we didn't like it. Never experienced anything like that in my life. Service is terrible. If the operators have enough decency to do something about it: The waiter was an old gentleman with a cap, glasses and a bulbous nose

We felt ripped off. Ordered drinks, to have with lunch; before we saw they don't take card payments. Tried to cancel as we do not carry cash on trips, but they wouldn't. Ended up having to use their "convenient" cash machine that charges 25% currency conversion plus a big cash withdrawal fee. Luckily it was only 3 beers... it ended up costing 33 Euros. Absolutely criminal, I'm surprised they are still open for business as they probably use cash only to avoid paying tax

The White Fleet Restaurant is something different, you sit on a ship on the water. We got drinks, so I can't say anything about the food. The drinks were good. The toilets are clean. There is also a logge down by the toilet.

The ambience is quite nice to sit in. We wanted to pay, were looked at, people actively looked away, so the service leaves a lot to be desired. The drinks take a very long time, slow service. Cash only? If you don't have cash, there is an ATM to withdraw money, with a €7 fee :)

Do not go here. As mentioned by other reviewers, they will rip you off. We ordered a couple of drinks, they don't present a receipt and over charge you. When we confronted them about it, they used a phone calculator to calculate it again very vaguely, going from 60.30 to 52. Later on we realized this was still about 8 euros too high. Ripping off people is bad enough, but it takes a genuinely bad person to keep ripping you off as they are caught. From the other reviews here and on other websites, this is apparently how they do business.

If your first comment to guests is that Dutch people don't tip, the tone is immediately set. Immediately charged too much at checkout, with the same comment again, it is a good reason for me to leave this tent on the left or right depending on which side we come from.

The beer was fine. Unfortunately the waiter tried to rip us off by overcharging us. So pay close attention.

Weisse Flotte is on the Rhine, with outdoor seating under cover. There are heaters for colder weather. They have an extensive menu, that I included in the pictures. I had the steak with baked potato and salad. The meal was so massive that I took it back with me to the hotel for dinner. One thing to plan for in advance… they are Cash Only. The sign is very small, so you might not notice it. Luckily, I always carry at least 50 EUR, so I was prepared. The service can be slow, but waiting for the meal was well worth it. Everything was perfectly prepared. The waiter spoke enough English to help me with my order. I really need to spend more time with Babbel.

Nice location but that's about it. Salad was ok. Pretzel rock hard, white sausages were partly already dissolving. Only ate 1 1/2 sausages in total, only one bite of pretzel. Drink half made of ice. The man in service didn't even ask how the food was. And when the food was complained about, he said it had been communicated too late. There was nothing he could do about it anymore. Super unfriendly and rude and absolutely not insightful. Would avoid the place

It would have been nice if we had been served. Sitting at the table for two cigarette lengths, more than one waiter looked directly at us and moved on. Apparently there is no need to serve guests there. We can actually only rate the beautiful ambience on the Rhine, we weren't treated to the rest. Yes, the weather was nice, yes, it wasn't empty, but there were enough waiters and there were still enough tables available. It's a shame when you don't need the money from guests! We moved one house further and had really great service, great ambience and really delicious drinks! Don't always sit right where everyone wants to sit!!!

I have never seen such a disinterested staff. We waited for service for almost 20 minutes. There is a sit where you find system. The chaos in the place starts from there. You get deceived by the crowd and get angry inside. There is no staff working

Caution! Unfair billing and hidden fees We visited this restaurant as a group and unfortunately discovered that questionable methods were used here. Additional drinks that we had not ordered were added to our bill. We were also charged a service fee. I strongly recommend checking your receipt carefully to avoid such surprises. Better yet, avoid this store and find a place that treats its guests fairly.

Beware, rip-off! The waiters often charge for drinks that you didn't even consume!!! Happened to us twice. The first time you think it's a coincidence, but unfortunately that's the system here. At least we'll never go there again!

Avoid this place! Took 20 minutes just for staff member to take our drinks order. It wasn't even busy. Then took another 20 minutes to bring the drinks out. However, spent over 15 minutes talking to another staff member. When we asked for the bill. No card payment accepted. Just about had enough cash to pay. The staff member then asks for more money for himself as a tip. Disgusting behaviour! Not even homeless people beg this much. Hope this place is paying taxes. Cash only! Hmmmm, very suspect. My tip, is to be quicker next time, stop wasting time chatting and don't be rude.

NEVER AGAIN! We were there to eat, and it took forever to even get served, even though it wasn't very full. After we ordered, it took over an hour for our food to arrive. (After asking again where the food is) Then we were brought completely wrong dishes that we hadn't even ordered, so we let the food go back and waited another 45 minutes until the correct dishes were brought. The waiter didn't get anything baked and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. In terms of taste and quality it wasn't great either, but the prices were completely exorbitant. The food wasn't worth the money! After we had eaten we wanted to pay, but there was no staff in sight! So we had to get someone from the kitchen to pay. The waiter who served us before didn't know what we had ordered, nor did we receive an apology for this poor or no service. The service is better in every McDonald's... Overall very unfriendly and completely unprofessional! The young man seemed completely unsuitable for the job as a waiter there. The only “nice” thing was the ambience and the location of the restaurant right on the banks of the Rhine. We will never go there again! Very disappointing.

Last Saturday we stopped by this restaurant to treat ourselves to a little cooling down, but then the waiter came and told us that there had been a cash register malfunction and that we would like to find something else to do. So far so good, anything can happen, but when getting up my husband tripped and fell on the wooden anchor. He sustained a laceration to his head and bruises. The wound was bleeding profusely but the staff did not feel responsible for any activity, such as providing sterile compresses, a calf pack or even a glass of water. No, we helped ourselves with tissues, called an RTW and organized a glass of water ourselves. My sister-in-law was even ignored by the boss. Incomprehensible! I would like to expressly point out that none of us have consumed alcohol before. We just wanted to show our visitors Düsseldorf. Great impression of hospitality

Catastrophic! We were there for the semi-final game. A father and his son were forcibly thrown out because he was sitting at a reserved table. The waiter attacked him physically and insulted him. It took several people to calm him down. It's absolutely shocking how someone can act like that towards guests. We were very tense and shocked the whole stay. EM and many people or not. We have no words for this evening...

TV broken, doesn't show EM, but promised us that the TV would work straight away. Then we waited and couldn't get a place in the old town. Service was also subpar, we paid with a waiter and then when we left the restaurant another waiter told us we should still pay 😂

We went there with friends to end our weekend. The politeness and warmth leave much to be desired. We have the impression of annoying the waiters with each request (carafe of water, salt) But the icing on the cake when the waiter brings us the bill and asks us to pay only by cash (not mentioned anywhere, neither at the entrance, nor on the cards), he also allows himself to ask for a tip of 10 €!!! We leave him €5 as a gesture of good faith, the waiter responds aggressively “next time you take your food and get out”. Strangely, he didn't behave that way with the Germans.. For a city that welcomes the Euro and consequently tourists, the hospitality leaves something to be desired.

Be sure to write down what you order yourself! Strangely enough, the nice (attention irony!!!!!) waitress overcharged us €50 because the drinks apparently cost more due to the European Championships, which was not signposted anywhere. Only after a long discussion did we receive a receipt which strangely enough had the correct prices on it. Aside from the drama at the end, the service was very unfriendly and stroppy. There are definitely many better places in Düsseldorf where you won't be tempted to leave! 🙃 The only good thing was the toilet lady, she was the only friendly employee

Shops along the Rhine The pork cutlet and salmon were very delicious.

We ordered 2 glasses of wine and 2 beers. All glasses had stains and even lipstick marks... Not so cool for a bar/restaurant in downtown Düsseldorf right on the Rhine. For this price it's not worth ordering here.... Sorry

How unbelievably unfriendly is your service staff? Guests are shouted at, ignored and not even greeted. I just don't understand how you can be like that when you work in the restaurant industry. Then look for another job.

Caution take cash, they don't take card and insist you go to cash machine which conveniently they have had ridiculous rates. €50 equals £56 which is a disgrace. Hey ho won't go back but enjoyed the visit. Oh and you need to pay for toilet?? Walk past and go to proper Old town is my advice

Really bad tourist trap! Under no circumstances should you go there. You're better off throwing your money straight into the Rhine.

When we ordered, we were casually asked if we would like a salad with our meal. For the 3 lettuce leaves, a tomato slice and salad sauce that were delivered, an extra 5.90 euros were charged without any prior mention. We were absolutely pissed and advised everyone not to visit.

The atmosphere was very good. Nice music was played. However, the waiter was very unfriendly. We had to pay in cash, after which the waiter gave the change back and said that we had to give a tip in Germany. Wurden leider betrogen. Da ich nichts getrunken hatte, kann ich behaupten, dass wir leider zu viele Getränke berechnet bekommen haben. Wurden so lange zugeredet, dass wir bezahlt haben und gegangen sind, man kann es ja eh nicht beweisen. Leider kommen die anscheinend immer wieder durch, wie man bei den Bewertungen sieht. UNBEDINGT RECHNUNGSBELEG KONTROLLIEREN!!! Restaurant mit recht schönem Ambiente direkt am Rhein, taugt jedoch maximal für flüssigen Verzehr, keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort. Service war maßlos überfordert und unfreundlich. Die Tische waren sehr klebrig. In einem der Essen (Scampis) war ein Haar, der Kellner wurde direkt darauf hingewiesen. Es gab keine Entschuldigung, NICHTS. Das Ersatzgericht wurde nachdem der Rest der Gruppe bereits mit essen fertig war, einfach nur wortlos wieder hingestellt. Das restliche Essen war in Ordnung, aber keinesfalls den Preis wert. Am Ende standen ca. 90 € zu viel auf der Rechnung. U.A. standen die Scampis 3 mal (!) statt 1 mal darauf. Aus Anstand hätte man wegen dem Haar gar nichts dafür berechnet. Auch andere Speisen und Getränke wurden einfach dazu gedichtet. Laut den anderen Rezensionen ist dies wohl auch kein Einzelfall, sondern eher eine Masche. Nachdem der Kellner darauf aufmerksam gemacht wurde, wurde anstatt sich zu entschuldigen diskutiert und darauf beharrt, dass das so stimmt und wir das verzehrt hätten. Der Nachbartisch hatte kurz vor uns wohl dasselbe Problem, da der Kellner auch mehrmals den Beleg geholt hat und mit den Gästen durchgegangen ist. FAZIT: Lohnt sich maximal wegen dem Ambiente für ein paar Drinks am Abend, selbst dann unbedingt Rechnung anfordern und kontrollieren! Um Essen zu gehen gibt es definitiv bessere Alternativen mit qualifizierterem Service.

Bei den überteuerten Preisen keine Kartenzahlung möglich. So was gibt es echt nur in Deutschland. Ob denn wenigstens alles korrekt in die Kasse gebucht wird? Qualität des Essens auch eher unterdurchschnittlich.

Das beste war der lustige Ober. Leider wie so oft an diesen Touristen-Hotspots. Das Essen überteuert und geschmacklich durchschnittlich. Wenn man keine hohen Erwartungen hat,o.k.

Das Essen war gut, und der Preis für die Lage angemessen, leider sind wir Getränkepreise total überzogen, so wie überall, wo zumeist keine Stammgäste kommen. EUR 6,80 für ein großes Bier ist schon happig und deutlich teurer als in den Hausbrauereien, da wo es mittlerweile leider schon an Abzocke grenzt. Auch unbedingt die Rechnung prüfen, wir hatten jetzt drei Bier und das waren für Bedienung EUR 27,20 ?! Leider ist mir da leider erst später ein Licht aufgegangen, das die Summe zusammen mit den Speisen nicht stimmen konnte, Es gab auch keine Rechnung und nur Barzahlung, in der heutigen Zeit fast schon eine Zumutung.

Food was okay. Basic fried German food. Pay to use the toilet. Can’t pay by card and the ATM takes a 5,99€ fee to use it. Waiter calculates the bill on a beer coaster, no bill in sight. No way to verify the prices. Nice vibe? Yes. Value for money? No.

Essen war ok, für eine Cola aber 12€/liter ist der Hammer. Egal wie die Lage ist, Preis/ Leistung wird auch über die Getränke bewertet. Kein weiterer Besuch für mich mit Kindern wert.Essen hat aber gepasst. Die Lage am Wasser macht halt auch hier die Preise.

Bei schönem Wetter mit dem Blick nach Oberkassel lohnt es sich für einen Besuch am Rhein. Der Aperol Spritz ist ein wenig süss.

Echt schade für die Küche, denn das Essen war völlig in Ordnung. Auch der Ausblick auf den Rhein, top!! Aber ich habe noch nie so einen unverschämten Kellner erlebt!!! Total unseriös, Rechnung für knapp 100 Euro Essen wird aufm Bierdeckel zusammen gerechnet, auf den Hinweis, dass er sich um mehr als 3 Euro verrechnet hat, reagiert er total dreist, keine Entschuldigung, gar nix und DANN, verlangt der Typ ernsthaft noch Trinkgeld!?? Wofür? Dass man bei der Rechnung verarscht wird!? Dass man ewig darauf wartet Essen zu bestellen?? Dass man ewig darauf wartet zu bezahlen? Und dass, obwohl die Kellner " so viel zu tun hatten", dass sie für alle sichtbar gequatscht, geraucht und Bier getrunken haben. Absolute Servicewüste, für uns nie wieder!

Trotz der vielen Leute war Bedienung fix und nett unterwegs. Essen war sehr gut zubereitet. Die Tische hätten mal einen Lappen gebrauchen können daher einen Stern abzug. Wir gehen gerne wieder hin. Wichtig zu wissen das dort nur Bares akzeptiert wird.

Kellner versteht nur die Hälfte und sieht einen nicht (lange Haare), Tisch klebrig, Essen schnell gemacht & Garnelen ok aber teurer als bei der Konkurrenz, dazu extra „KLEINE Pommes anstatt Salat dem dazugehörigen Salat“ = 8€ Aufpreis; 0,3 Bier gibt es nicht = muss 0,5 Bier für 6,40€ nehmen. Potenzial wird leider nicht ausgeschöpft

Haben Sonntag noch einen Platz gefunden. Verständlicherweise hat es etwas länger gedauert da es ziemlich voll war aber die Bedienung war sehr nett und freundlich. Sitzen kann man dort sehr gut und in gemütlicher Runde quatschen und trinken. Es gibt viele Fischgerichte und Salate. Wir hatten gefragt ob sie Brot mit Ajoli haben und obwohl es nicht auf der Karte steht haben wir es bekommen. Guter Service.

Tolles Ambiente super Lage gutes Essen

Lage ist gut und wird deshalb auch gut ausgenutzt. Die Preise sind deutlich überzogen und die Bedienung ist leider sehr unfreundlich.

Hier ist ein unhöflicher Mitarbeiter (klein, lange schwarze Haare) eingestellt. Am japanischen Tag (13.05.2023) hat er gegen 22 Uhr ein paar PLASTIKBECHER IN DEN RHEIN weggeworfen. Als er darauf angesprochen wurde, dass das die Umweltverschmutzung ist, meinte er, dass ich ihn nicht sagen soll, wie sein Job zu machen ist. Einfach unvorstellbar, dass einige nicht wissen, was die UMWELTSCHUTZ ist!!!

Der Besuch war sehr schön war voll war aber auch Japantag von da aus das Feuerwerk geschaut und die Preise sind auch Okay Jederzeit Wieder

Ich war am Japantag 2023 dort. Auf der Suche nach einem Platz habe ich Gäste gefragt ob ich mich dazusetzen dürfe und hatte meinen Rollator vor mir stehen. Plötzlich kam jemand und forderte mich in sehr unfreundlichen Ton das "Ding" wegzustellen. Als ich dafür einen Moment brauchte schob er gleich weiter in unfreundlichem bishin aggressivem Ton seine Aufforderungen nach. Als ich ihn bat etwas mehr freundlicher zu sein wurde ich völlig grundlos des Lokals verwiesen. Er gab sich als "Chef" des Lokals aus. So geht man also dort mit Gästen um. Ein absolutes NOGO!!!
