The San Leo restaurant in the heart of Wuppertal's Luisenviertel is a real pearl. We entered the small, charming restaurant without any great expectations and were immediately impressed by the cozy atmosphere. The welcome was warm and we were given a special seat at the “chef’s table” with a view of the kitchen. We were able to watch the chefs at work – a great experience! Our visit was a gift: a voucher for a meal and a glass of sparkling wine. Since we didn't know exactly what to expect, we expected a simple three-course meal. But San Leo surprised us from the start: the first greeting from the kitchen, a wonderfully fried mackerel ball on pumpkin puree, was the perfect start. We couldn't wait to see what came next. The next courses exceeded our expectations: pulp, scallop, mackerel, various chocolates and many other delicacies. Each course was a small work of art in itself and provided a taste explosion. After what felt like ten courses we were already more than satisfied, but the culinary experience continued. A small, refreshing sorbet of mint and lemon followed before the main course and dessert. The entire meal was simply fantastic and would be recommended to anyone who values ​​quality and taste. The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderfully relaxed, and the staff literally anticipates your every need. We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back. San Leo is a must for anyone looking for a special restaurant in Wuppertal!

Went there for the first time with two couples and were very happy with everyone. My rump steak was exactly as I ordered it.

I ordered pizza and got pasta. The waitress insisted that I had ordered wrong - after all, she didn't make such mistakes. A huge portion of self-confidence that is unfortunately misplaced here. No accomodation whatsoever. Instead, in her opinion, I should order another pizza but pay for the pasta. More than annoying and really rude.
