Die Lasagne war sehr lecker, schön saftig, mit einer perfekten Sauce und gutem Käse. Auch die hausgemachte Crème Brûlée war sehr lecker. Sehr empfehlenswert )))

Mittagstisch von 11-15h! Pizza/Pasta + 0,2l Softgetränk für 12,90€! Mit eine der besten Pizzen die ich gegessen habe!

Heute leider nicht so gut. Wir haben gerade hier gegessen. 1. Tagesmenü: war ok 2. Octopus mit mediterranen Kartoffelsalat: etwas zu trocken der Octopus. Der Kartoffelsalat grob und für unseren Geschmack sehr reduziert angemacht. Leider kam das 2. Gericht nachdem ich bereits mit dem 1. fertig war. Dafür gab es einen Kaffee umsonst. Wir kommen trotzdem gerne wieder und hoffen auf einen Ausrutscher...

Wir waren bisher Stammgäste, aufgrund des freundlichen Services (bei der vorherigen Besetzung). Leider haben sich die vorherigen Servicekräfte vor einigen Monaten verabschiedet. Es gibt noch nette Servicekräfte dort, aber😏: Es gibt dort einen Kellner, dünn, klein, aber mit hohem Geltungswunsch u. mittlerweile nur noch super-unfreundlich! Beim letzten Mal: Wunsch- Dip zu den Pizzabrötchen war Aioli, gebracht von erwähntem Kellner war Kräuterbutter. Bei Nachfrage wg. Aioli hieß e§ von ihm nur, ist doch egal, oder? Heute dann die Krönung: Wir hatten uns bei dieser Hitze auf einen Salat gefreut, ich hatte eben jenen bestellt, mein Mann wollte ebenfalls bestellen. Der Kellner fragte nach dem Dressing, schaute aber ganz woanders hin.Mein Mann fragt nach den Dressings, der Kellner nuschelt die Dressings unverständlich runter, da er gedanklich in einer anderen Richtung war. Mein Mann hat nochmals nachgefragt, wieder das selbe, unverständlich. Mein Mann fragt freundlich nochmals. Antwort: Du hast mich schon verstanden, schau einfach in die Karte, wenn Du kein Deutsch verstehst! Wir sind Deutsche. Wir sind seit Jahren dort essen gewesen, weil man wusste, was man bekam. Aber solch ein unverschämtes Benehmen hatten wir dort noch nie!!! Also, wenn der Laden wirklich seinen guten Ruf verlieren möchte, ist er mit diesem kleinen Kellner auf dem besten Weg. Vielleicht ist er sich nicht bewusst, daß es nicht das einzige italienische Restaurant in Wuppertal- Elberfeld ist … Wir sind wieder gegangen u. haben woanders gegessen.

Alles war hervorragend, aber nicht ganz perfekt. Dennoch kann ich dieses Restaurant empfehlen.

Wir waren schon öfter dort essen .Ich muss sagen von der Vorspeise,,Pizza und Dessert war alles top top top..super lecker..Vor allem auch sehr Tierlieb..wir haben für unseren Hund sofort Wasser bekommen und dann gab es auch noch ein Leckerchen...Service super ..Preisleistung auch super ...Personal sehr freundlich ....

Bestellt zum Liefern für 50 Euro. das Essen kam nach 2 Stunden dann auch mal an. Alles kalt natürlich. Mozzarella e Pomodori bestand aus einer Kugel (ungeschnitten) Mozzarella und 5 Scheiben Tomaten einfach daneben 😂 kein Öl, kein Salatblatt, nix. Nudeln waren OK, Pizza nix besonderes. Für 50 Euro echt dreist. Keine Ahnung warum das im Luisenviertel so gehyped wird 😂

Leider nicht gut, Pizza die von 15 Uhr bis heute schwer im Magen liegt ist nicht normal und diese Erfahrung habe ich nur dort gemacht. Der Laden hatte 3 Tische belegt (einer davon wir) , dennoch kam das falsche Getränk. Ich als Italiener bin geschockt und schäme mich für diesen Laden. Rechnung bestellt mit der Bitte 3 espressi zu machen. Rechnung bezahlt , 5 Minuten später kam noch eine Rechnung für die Espressi, das ist peinlich. Dann nicht mal ein Glas stilles Wasser zum Café wie es in Italien üblich ist. Keine Empfehlung

Leckere Pizza kann ich Empfehlen

Ohne langes Geschwafel... Pizza ausgezeichnet, Service aufmerksam und freundlich. Sehr faire Preise!

Schneller Service. Lebhafte Atmosphäre. Leckerer Spritz und Carpaccio. Penne mit Hähnchen: Das Hähnchen war leider sehr trocken. Insgesamt aber für den Preis durchaus gut.

Ich habe drei Pizzen bestellt und wollte eine Pizza ohne Ananas und die andern mit Ananas. Aber die haben mir alle Pizzen ohne Ananas gebracht und die Pizz Stücke waren nicht geschnitten ich zeige auf dem Foto ein Stück

Wir gehen schon seit einiger Zeit regelmäßig in dieses italienische Restaurant und sind jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und sorgt einfach dafür, dass man sich direkt wohlfühlt. Die Preise sind absolut fair, vor allem für die Qualität, die man bekommt. Das Essen ist jedes Mal richtig lecker – frisch, authentisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Ob mit Freunden oder der Familie – es ist für uns immer die perfekte Adresse für einen schönen, entspannten Abend. Wir kommen definitiv immer wieder gerne!

Der Service ist schnell und das Essen ist ganz okay … die Pizza ist durchschnittlich und der Spinat kommt aus der Tiefkühltruhe. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

Wir waren gestern Abend im Don Camilo Depone in Wuppertal und hatten ein fantastisches Erlebnis! Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und italienisch, das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war einfach lecker! Wir hatten die Pizza und die Pasta, beides war perfekt zubereitet und sehr lecker. Die Portionen sind groß und die Preise sind fair. Der Service war top, das Essen kam schnell und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und können das Don Camillo Peppone nur weiterempfehlen!

Das Essen ist sehr lecker, super Pizza, richtig guter Salat. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Im meist mit vielen Menschen gefüllten Raum ist es leider sehr laut. Das ist nicht immer, aber manchmal störend.

Wir sind aufgrund der vielen positiven Google Bewertungen auf das Don Camillo aufmerksam geworden und hatten entsprechend hohe Erwartungen. Leider hat uns das Essen geschmacklich nicht überzeugt. Der Lachs war deutlich zu trocken, das Grillgemüse wirkte unausgewogen und nicht gleichmäßig zusammengestellt. Auch die Bruschetta konnte uns nicht abholen, das Brot war sehr lange geröstet und dadurch zu hart. Positiv hervorzuheben sind das wirklich schöne Ambiente sowie der gute und zentrale Standort in Wuppertal. Das Restaurant lädt optisch definitiv zum Verweilen ein. Insgesamt ein gemischter Eindruck: Atmosphäre und Lage stimmen, geschmacklich war es für uns jedoch leider kein Highlight.

1. Wir bestellten Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte (Pizza, Schnitzel usw.). (Danach kamen viele Gäste.) 2. Wir aßen Vorspeisen, aber es wurden nur die Gerichte für die Gäste serviert, die nach uns gekommen waren, nicht aber für uns. 3. Auf meine Nachfrage hieß es, man habe erst mit der Zubereitung der Hauptgerichte begonnen, nachdem wir mit den Vorspeisen fertig waren (hätten sie das gewusst, hätten sie die Hauptgerichte einfach bestellt). Man sagte, unsere Hauptgerichte hätten nur eine Weile auf sich warten lassen (ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob das stimmt). 4. Als ich mich beschwerte, hieß es, das sei in allen Buffetrestaurants üblich (stimmt das?).

The three of us went there on a Saturday evening. Had we not made a reservation, we probably wouldn't have gotten a table. The pizza was delicious and the atmosphere very pleasant.

We were there with a large group. The food arrived in intervals. The first person received their starter and main course simultaneously after 10 minutes. After that, it was served every 20 minutes. We finally got our pizza after an hour. Taste-wise, the pizza was okay. Personally, I found it lacking in seasoning.

I didn't enjoy it that much. Especially around lunchtime, it's very crowded and the noise level is quite unpleasant. The food is okay, but not as great as many people claim. But everyone has to try it for themselves. Yeah

I am consistently very satisfied with the quality of the food. The selection is extensive, so there's something for everyone who enjoys Italian cuisine. The ambiance is a bit austere, and when all the tables are occupied, which is usually the case, it can get a little noisy.

We really like Don Camillo & Peppone and have been going there regularly for two years. The pizza is always excellent, and the staff is generally very friendly! Suggestion for the owner: The staff should point out the daily specials, as many guests overlook them. Please check your restrooms more often. Occasionally, used tissues are piled up unattractively on the floor by the sink.

We were there as a couple with a child and were immediately greeted very warmly by the friendly waitress. The service was attentive, and we always felt like we were being looked after. The food was delicious! We ordered two pasta dishes and a schnitzel with fries. The value for money is really excellent. One small downside: Unfortunately, there are no special children's dishes. Luckily, the little one was so hungry that there was almost nothing left. We would come back in a heartbeat if we're ever in Wuppertal again. Keep up the good work! 😊🍝

Very tasty food, with great service!

I visited Engels' birthplace and came across Don Camillo and Pepponera! It was a novel that had a profound impact on my childhood. It was as if it was telling me this is what the world is like. It was an Italian restaurant, but I really wanted to try schnitzel during my short trip to Germany, and I was lucky enough to have it. I really liked the friendly staff. I'll definitely be back again.

The name is misleading. It's not really Italian cuisine. Salciccia = salami. Otherwise, if you don't know anything about Italian cuisine, it's okay.

Typical pizzeria, at least what I imagine an Italian pizzeria to be: simple furnishings, photos of the eponymous actors on the wall, and real Italians serving. It just fits. Plus, the pasta and pizza taste great, and the prices are very reasonable. I'd be happy to come back.

Very nice restaurant at Laurentius Platz

Met by friendly staff. We were with a one-year-old child and they brought us a high chair. They helped us with the choice of dishes. I ordered an incredible schnitzel with grilled vegetables and a delicious salad with yogurt. Everything was at the highest level. My husband also ate a delicious Vulcan pizza and the child was prepared a small mozzarella. Cozy and delicious. Thank you 💟

Subject: Complaint about repeated incorrect billing by a waiter Dear Sir or Madam, I would like to draw your attention to repeated incidents in your restaurant that I have noticed with the same waiter. He is the tallest waiter in terms of height, and he certainly knows who he is referring to. 1. In the first incident, instead of the correct bill of approximately €49, I was quoted an amount of over €80, which I had already collected from me. When I asked, the waiter assured me with complete conviction that the amount was correct. Despite my request, I did not receive a proper bill. Only after I did the math myself and confronted him again did he refund the excess amount and apologize. 2. In the second incident, our bill was €27. We gave the waiter €30, including the tip. Nevertheless, he gave the impression that this was not enough for him. When I returned €100, I received €65 in bills and the rest in a large amount of small change. Only after later counting did I realize €2 was missing. In both cases, this was not an oversight, but rather a manipulative approach used to gain unfair advantage. I therefore urge you to investigate these incidents and take appropriate measures to prevent such behavior in the future. For a good restaurant, trust and fairness in dealing with guests are essential. Sincerely,

Very disappointed and absolutely rude. We ordered 3 pasta dishes and 1 pizza and explicitly stated that we didn't want the daily special. Nevertheless, we were charged for the set menu. -The pizza tasted cheap, as if it were made with rapeseed oil, more like something from a chain pizzeria (Domino's) than an Italian restaurant. -The carbonara was dry and tasteless. -The Bolognese was just "okay," but nothing special. When we asked about payment, the waiter reacted rudely and said we had "left the drinks behind," a completely unprofessional response. We didn't get any and explicitly stated that we didn't want the daily special!!!!! In addition, at another table, we observed that guests couldn't eat their pizza in peace because it was completely covered in wasps and flies after just a few minutes, yet they still charged the full price. All in all, a very disappointing experience: -Incorrect billing -Unfriendly service -Food = meh -Lack of consideration for guest problems Unacceptable. Visited once and it was disappointing. Won't go there again.

Pizzas are okay. Just don’t order salads. Brown leafs, odd lettuce stalks and something you just don’t want to eat.

I ordered Penne Arrabbiata. The description said it came with hot peppers. While it did contain peppers, it also contained about four raw, coarsely chopped, and uncooked garlic cloves. You had to be a garlic fisherman to start with. Unfortunately, the culinary experience was very disappointing.

I ordered three courses with salad and a soft drink... We had three beers. Lasagna, which wasn't lasagna. Penne was OK. We started eating and they didn't bring a soft drink or salad. We had to pay extra for the beer... But we still had to pay for the entire lunch menu: €55 for penne lasagna and three beers with a Margherita. 😐🤔 It was pretty expensive. There wasn't a soft drink or a single salad... The waitress was not friendly at all after we ordered three lunch courses... She just said you'll pay extra for the beer... 🤔 A complete course should actually cost €13.90 with a drink, salad, and pasta or pizza. We were really disappointed. There was no pasta in the lasagna, just sauce.... 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 I don't think it's Italian... Just the name... Conclusion: Not again, sorry... It's sad...

Excellent Italian cuisine in the heart of Elberfeld! Inviting ambiance with a cozy outdoor terrace under the trees. Ideal for relaxed evenings. We've been eating here regularly for about seven years. But recently, and especially on May 30, 2025, we unfortunately had a very unfriendly waitress. And we weren't the only ones who felt that way. First of all, we had to wait a long time before we could place our order. Taking our order proved to be a very difficult task for the waitress. A lunch menu with a surcharge for a large drink instead of a small one wouldn't work. We were asked to please order everything separately. Mind you, that's always been the case for years. And if you have long fingernails, you should at least be able to handle them. Instead, she kept making typos. Conclusion: We left the restaurant and ate somewhere else with friendly service. A restaurant stands and falls with its waiters and the chef. You should either train the waitress with the long, dark, curly hair from May 30, 2025, or fire her. That's absolutely not acceptable.

We had dinner there yesterday. Really good Italian in Wuppertal. Good location, nice facility. The staff isn't quite on their toes. I definitely recommend the Gamberetti with cream sauce and carbonara!

Unfortunately, the two pizzas we ordered were not finished. Burnt on top and around the edges, still raw underneath. The bellows just slid down. Unfortunately we cannot recommend it.
