Die besten Restaurants mit Indisches restaurant Essen in Dortmund

We were actually programmed for “Türk.Restaurant” (but unfortunately it was just a kebab shop! ☹️), So I looked on Google Maps to see what was nearby and the “Royal Tandoori” popped up. Our boys weren't keen at first, but my wife prevailed. And that was a good thing! The four of us were totally thrilled afterwards. Ok, the ambience is somehow typically Indian, but dated, the waitress rocked the place all by herself (so you had to wait), but still everything is good. And then the food came: The 4 of us enjoyed the grill menu for 3 people. ordered + 2 additional naan breads. It was great, very tasty, we were completely full afterwards. And our 10-year-old constant complainer was also completely thrilled. The fun ending was dessert. That didn't work for the boys at all: Looked like applesauce, but it wasn't applesauce!! Some strong-tasting fruit with a hint of rice pudding. When I said it was a puke fruit, the topic was over! 😱🤣😉

The food itself is quite good, but when I ordered it I was taken for a ride. They said I had to pay more, which wasn't on their menu (I had them give me a new one) and after another dish was delivered incorrectly, I was just told they would still deliver it. After calling several times and waiting for over 3 hours, I got tired of it and said I didn't want it anymore. Then they apologized and said that I would get it the next day and again nothing. I just find the behavior just cheeky then they should have said they are no longer simply repulsive.

You can do it, but you don't have to. It's not a treat for the palate, but it's not a deterrent either. So-so. Was there with Bernie, Schatzia and Glitterina. Schatzia wanted some kind of Indian drink, but they didn't have that. Bernie the old gourmet wanted a really mega hamma supa dupa overly hot sauce, despite repeated seasoning it was still just so larifari. Glitterina almost had chills because it was so cold in the store. We had to wait almost 2 hours for the happa happa, even though Bernie was really fired up. That was perhaps one of the reasons why schatzia got almost nothing, because the portions were far too small for two people. Kurwa. In addition, the pub seats were full of backs. Oh yes, the harsh, loud, monotonous music gets really annoying after a while. With that in mind: see you again and check it out.

Always super tasty. When I'm in Dortmund, Curry always has to be there. Thank you for this healthy and delicious alternative.

I tried different curries 3 times, all of them were simply delicious, I even took my friend from Sri Lanka with me and he said that it was excellent here! Unfortunately the store no longer exists lol xD

After searching for a while to try deshi food, very disappointed. I ordered mutton biriyani for dinner around 7pm. It came with a sauce. The rice was so hard and dry, maybe it was cooked in the morning or even yesterday. Although the meat was quite ok, the rice was a disaster and unbelievable. If you compare the price of 17 euros for a plate, the taste is not what you expected. Hopefully I'll get something better from them next time.

As always, the Indian food here is a complete delight and of course also tailored to the European palate. Unfortunately, it is noticeable that after the name change, the Italian dishes are no longer available for non-regular or delivery customers. I would especially miss the Indian-spiced chicken on a pizza. There are enough Italians and Indians in DO as alternatives. I particularly liked the combination here. Nevertheless, I have always had good experiences here. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Feel free to work on the ambience, but feel free to continue with the taste!

Very authentic taste and atmosphere is great and the briyani is super tasty
