I've eaten at many other great restaurants. But the quality and taste of the food at this restaurant are unmatched. I'll definitely come back whenever I have time. 👍

I'm truly sorry, but the food was incredibly disappointing. It was unbelievably oily, and unfortunately, we couldn't taste any of the typical Indian spices. When you spend that much money, you expect high-quality ingredients, but that wasn't the case here.

Two of us were there with a voucher book and probably wouldn't have visited this restaurant otherwise. The voucher book seemed to us like an offer to try out restaurants and maybe find something new for ourselves. That wasn't the case here. The ambiance is very simple (an older pub with Indian decor) and not cozy. We read online that they serve bread and dips as a "greeting from the kitchen"... unfortunately, we didn't have that. After almost two hours, the ordered food arrived: the garlic bread, which we ordered as an appetizer, came with the main courses. One dish was supposed to be with salmon and sauce, but it was served without comment. Upon first cutting it, we realized it was white fish. When we asked, we were told that salmon wouldn't go with the dish 😳, and it was replaced with a cheap pangasius fillet. This was neither mentioned when ordering nor when served... strange procedure. Presumably the price and the voucher book were the reasons. The second dish was with chicken, and this also had quite a few large pieces of potato in it, which wasn't stated in the description of the dish. If a restaurant can't afford to participate in such a promotion, they should probably just leave it alone and not serve dishes differently or with cheaper alternatives. It's a real shame... the taste wasn't that bad.

The food was good; we had four starters and four main courses. The starters were quite good. We asked for spicy food and got it without any spice. It wasn't particularly special, unfortunately. The atmosphere wasn't great; it was a pub from the 70s, and everything was very dusty. We wouldn't come back.

Tandoori Love - at Westheck (Brackel) We were there for the first time today. Super friendly, a welcome from the kitchen (crispy bread with four dips, from fresh to spicy). We had mango lassi (a must 😅) and orange juice for drinks. Fresh naan bread for starters. For the main course, fish masala for my husband and chicken korma for me, served with rice. Greatly seasoned, the meat and fish were tender as butter. Super friendly and attentive service. We'd be happy to go again.

There were five of us dining. Our first impression of the ambiance wasn't necessarily typically Indian, but I think that's due to the somewhat cramped space. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Since my daughter couldn't decide after looking at the menu, the kitchen created a special dish for her, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, we were very pleased with the food. I personally like my food very spicy and had specified this when ordering. After the food reached our table, I was asked if it was spicy enough, but I had to say no. The staff member then took the dish back to the kitchen, added more seasoning, and when I returned, I received a completely refilled (or new?) dish that met my expectations. All in all, a very pleasant, delicious evening at a fair price.

A terrible "restaurant"! We walked in and at 5 p.m. on a Sunday, no one was there. Everything looked very unappealing and smelled of cigarettes. I definitely can't recommend it; we left and went somewhere else.

I've eaten there several times now. I can't think of a single point where I could deduct a single point. The food is simply fantastic.

If the dated, somewhat musty interior doesn't bother you too much, you can actually eat quite reasonably here. Even if some dishes didn't match our usual taste, the service and the table ambiance were truly excellent. Everything ran quickly and smoothly with that typical Indian flair; they didn't skimp on anything, and of course, there were free appetizers. So far, everything was satisfactory. However, the payment was a huge problem... only cash!!, with no advance notice! This personally makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up in the age of wallets, debit cards, and the like, and sets off alarm bells, just like in many pizzerias and kebab shops. No receipt, etc., only after much fanfare and repeated ordering. This should be done better and more transparently. The price level, again, is absolutely fair. Try it for yourself; I'll personally explore new territory in terms of taste.

The food tasted okay. However, I had to search for the meat in the butter chicken.

We discovered Tandoori Love through the voucher book and made a reservation for Saturday evening. We were served delicious dips and crispy bread beforehand. The appetizers and main courses were truly delicious. The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was friendly and very attentive. We had a truly wonderful meal and had a great time. We were all very satisfied and can imagine coming back.

Eating with the Kulinaris Card is not recommended! Why are you listed on the Kulinaris Card if you don't want us here? We looked at the menu and wanted to order the lamb dish "Lamb Tandoori (402)" with number 40 for €16.50 each. The waiter (perhaps the boss) with the slightly longer hair then said that wouldn't work. We could order the dish, but then we would both have to pay the full price. We weren't allowed to order the dishes listed under Tandoori Specialties. We then ordered two other beef dishes for €15.50. We weren't allowed to order a 0.3 liter of Coke either, but only a 0.4 liter, because we had the Kulinaris Card! We've never experienced anything like this with the Kulinaris Card in any other restaurant. Normally, at every Indian restaurant, we always get some free bread and dips as a welcome gift from the kitchen. You can get that at almost any Indian restaurant. According to another review, it's the same here, and there's even a Google review that's only a few weeks old, where they also received a greeting from the kitchen, even though they ate there with their Kulinaris card. We certainly didn't receive a greeting from the kitchen. We ended up paying €15.50 for the meal, €3 for the naan bread we ordered separately, and two €3 bottles for the two Cokes. So, the bill came to €24.50! Since an Indian woman suddenly handed us the bill and the guy disappeared, I ended up adding a €2.50 tip. There was no official bill, just a slip of paper.

An unforgettable evening at Tandoori Love in Dortmund 🥰 The four of us were at “Tandoori Love” for the first time on Saturday evening, May 3rd, 2025 and were immediately given a very warm welcome. Even getting started was a real pleasure: The house greeting was a quartet of delicious dips with crispy baked Indian bread - there was something for every taste: mild, refreshing, spicy and also nice and hot. I would particularly like to highlight the Indian chicken soup, which had a strong taste and was a complete success. A highlight were also the bread filled with minced meat and the puff pastry pockets - both highly recommended 🥰 Each of us chose a different main course, and we were all completely thrilled - the taste was excellent, freshly prepared and lovingly served. A very big compliment goes to our waiter, who came from Pakistan. He was incredibly friendly, helpful, warm and answered all of our questions with a lot of joy and patience. He not only made us feel well looked after, but also like we were on a little culinary trip to India. We would also like to thank the chef and the entire kitchen team - the preparation and presentation of the dishes was a real pleasure! My conclusion: A very cozy, enjoyable evening in a stylish ambience. We will definitely come back - and say from the bottom of our hearts: 🥰 Thank you for this great evening. 🌟🙏🥰

The food and menu are a bit of a wild mix of good and scary. Some were quite tasty (sauces, naan), others were hard to identify or just too dry and cold. The ambience is a colorful mix of 70s pubs, Bollywood and pseudo chick. And even Telekom's on-hold music is better than the on-site musical background. The service, on the other hand, was good, very friendly and attentive. The will is there, but unfortunately the rest is lacking.

I ordered via the delivery service. That's why I can't rate the ambience. As a starter I had the chicken soup. Unique. Very rich. Slightly spicy with a sour note. Wonderful. The main course was chilli chicken with rice. That was a bit sharper. But at the same time a taste explosion. Plus the Garlic Nan. Guys, it was just top class. Today I ate there for the first time. Unique. Great service. Four dips with house-made naan bread. I ate the chicken soup. As always. A poem. Nice and spicy with plenty of meat. Then there was stuffed bread. 1x with cheese and 1x with minced meat. Absolutely delicious. As a main course, spicy chicken curry. That's how it was ordered. Chicken Korma. Sweetish. Very delicate. The dishes are served with rice. Everything was very tasty and plentiful. Absolutely top class.

Wait times have always been minimal, even during busy hours. Without a doubt, this place is going to be my go-to spot for Indian food in Dortmund. We just ended our wedding anniversary here in this wonderful restaurant. It was just great, the food was very tasty, the service was loving and nice. I can recommend everyone to eat here.

We were here for the second time today and definitely not the last time. We all really enjoyed the food and were full. The service was very good and the host was always in a good mood and enjoyed his work. Unfortunately the ambience is not that good. You can clearly tell that the restaurant used to be a pub. I ordered food here through Wolt We wanted to order it for iftar dinner at 7 p.m. but it arrived at 5 p.m I wanted to confirm that someone from the restaurant was supposed to come and pick up the food and deliver the food at 7 p.m., but things turned out differently. While I was writing to the chat and it was confirmed to me that the food was supposed to be prepared and delivered to me, it still didn't arrive. We then asked again in the chat at 7:25 p.m. and then called the restaurant and said that they hadn't said that and I was angry because we were fasting and still hadn't eaten anything. The restaurant promised me on the phone that they would deliver the food to me and take the old one back with me and while I'm writing here, it's been another hour and nothing has been delivered, which means that they don't give a shit about us and then we didn't care, the main thing was that we paid and then basically lied to me during the chat. Apparently no one cares how the customers feel here during this time. So we wanted to try the restaurant because of the good reviews, but now I'm throwing the food away. It's a real shame that we are treated like this... I was just thinking during Ramadan you don't do something like that and lie to customers Update: just arrived late, although we were able to take care of it quickly, especially because that's how it went and we should have priority. After all, it was a mistake on the part of the restaurant that they didn't take my request into account and didn't pay attention to the time that I had pre-ordered for the evening It wasn't my fault We will still visit the restaurant because the food is delicious. Tandoori Love surprised us very positively on our first visit 3 weeks ago. We became aware of the restaurant through the voucher book. Last week we went there for dinner with three couples. The dishes are incredibly tasty across the board. But the chicken soup is unsurpassed. To start there is an Indian greeting from the kitchen with 4 dips/sauces and some bread. We became aware of Tandoori Love through Schlemmerblock. The restaurant didn't seem very trustworthy from the outside. Inside, the restaurant is simply furnished and clean. We had reserved and were welcomed very friendly. Drinks ordered were served quite quickly. As an appetizer there was very thin, crunchy bread with 4 different very tasty dips. The starters, chicken and lentil soup, were very flavorful and very tasty. As main courses we had 4 different dishes with chicken, veal and cream cheese, which were served in small warming bowls. There was also plenty of basmati rice. All dishes were well seasoned with varying degrees of spiciness. All portions were very generous. Conclusion: the external appearance does not do justice to the food served. All dishes were very well portioned and very tasty. We can only recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back again.

You can do it, but you don't have to. It's not a treat for the palate, but it's not a deterrent either. So-so. Was there with Bernie, Schatzia and Glitterina. Schatzia wanted some kind of Indian drink, but they didn't have that. Bernie the old gourmet wanted a really mega hamma supa dupa overly hot sauce, despite repeated seasoning it was still just so larifari. Glitterina almost had chills because it was so cold in the store. We had to wait almost 2 hours for the happa happa, even though Bernie was really fired up. That was perhaps one of the reasons why schatzia got almost nothing, because the portions were far too small for two people. Kurwa. In addition, the pub seats were full of backs. Oh yes, the harsh, loud, monotonous music gets really annoying after a while. With that in mind: see you again and check it out.

We had chicken soup that tasted fantastically strong and four different main courses. We were all absolutely satisfied. The conclusion of our very cozy and romantic evening is that we would love to come back. Our waitress was incredibly charming, helpful and very cheerful. Not only did we eat particularly stylishly and well, we also had a lot of fun with our waiter. He answered every question wonderfully and lovingly took us on a culinary journey to India. Very good food! We had the vegetable soup, garlic naan and two different korma dishes with fish. For dessert we had mango lassis. Beforehand there were various dips with papadam. The service was very nice and we liked the atmosphere. There was probably once a pub or a restaurant there and what was charming to see how the place was redesigned and still kept the clock. We came because of the gourmet block and will definitely be back!

I was at Tandoori Love, I met them, they welcomed us and then we ordered the drinks, after that they automatically served the Indian papad with sauce for free, it's delicious, it's the best welcome in my life and then we ordered the food, the food is amazing and delicious and the waiter was very friendly, I recommend everyone to order from the long haired man

Was on one day trip in Dortmund, had no idea where to eat. Selected this restaurant randomly. When we entered I had no expectations. Ordered Grill mix and Spinach curry with meat. The Starter was unbelievable tasty specially the fresh Made Samosa, Onion rings and fish Pakura it is fresh Made and very tasty. The grill mix and the curry was equally tasty. Staff are very helpful and the service is by far better than any other Indian restaurants. Prices are also very reasonable.

The destination address was in Asseln, the driver first drove to Lünen and then to Aplerbeck. I then heard that it was Lieferando's fault. Conclusion: the food was lukewarm, the driver was unfriendly, and the man on the phone from the restaurant was simply incompetent. Not to mention that the driver drove to the wrong place twice despite having the correct address

I had a fantastic experience at this Pakistani-Indian restaurant! The atmosphere is very cozy and the decoration is authentic. The food was simply delicious - every dish was full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly and attentive staff, who made the evening a completely successful experience. The variety on the menu caters for every taste, and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. I will definitely come back and can only recommend this restaurant!

Had ordered chicken tikka. It was absolutely terrible. The chicken didn't taste like chicken and didn't have the consistency of chicken. The rice also had a strange aftertaste and was not tasty. I called afterwards and complained and they didn't answer the phone.

I've been here for the 5th time now and every time it tastes great. For your information: The food is Helal (speaks for the quality of the meat) and the explanation for our fellow Germans has to do with the type of slaughter. Service is top, very hospitable. In a good mood. Child friendly. It is a Pakistani/Indian restaurant. I always enjoy coming back. 👍👍👍

We met a waiter who only spoke English and didn't understand any German. Chef outside... Menu with pictures, not really appealing. Chicken pakora as a starter was delicious. Chicken vindalo was ok as a main course, we also ordered prawns in a curry sauce, we were served prawns in a watery tomato sauce. I made it clear to the waiter that we had ordered a curry sauce and not a watery tomato sauce. He took the dish back and we chose chicken korma instead, which we didn't complain about, but it tasted way too sweet. So we don't recommend this restaurant. Sorry

Sorry, I went to McDonald's after dinner to save the evening. There won't be another time there for me.

Top Indian food, plus Helal. Very tender meat no matter what you order. Starters very tasty and everything included. The rice is super tasty and service 5 stars. We felt super comfortable. From now on we will come regularly and happily.

What can I say, old Ruhr area pub with a bit of Indian decoration, but ok. The two of us were the only customers in the store. ..but had to wait a very long time for the food. The food was okay, but the price was not acceptable. For two small starters and two main courses with 2 drinks each, around 70 euros! It really wasn't worth it! And then there was the totally confused waiter who didn't even know the translation into German of any of the dishes on the menu, who forgot which drink was ordered within 2 meters, didn't accept card payment and then, on top of that, didn't have any change when paying in cash. A customer who was picking up something had to change money at the kiosk next door... where can you get something like that? We won't come a second time!

Lovely but unfortunately gastronomic failed attempt at an Indian restaurant. The waiter really tried hard. But the shop is really not nice, the menu is wrong and the rice was cold. No wine, no draft beer, etc. All kind of funny. No recommendation.
