We went to the concert and were looking for something to eat at a local restaurant beforehand. Inconspicuous from the outside but when you walked in you were spoken to in a friendly manner and given the menu straight away. The food was very good, you can choose the spiciness and if you don't like coriander you can cancel it. It's a shame we live so far away. We used to go there regularly. Thank you for the great experience.

An absolutely recommendable meal: Very good quality and sufficient. Tender chicken, very tasty sauces and a traditional naan baked in a clay oven convinced us. The food was ready quickly and we got our order despite the late hour. A real gem in Huckarde. Extremely friendly family business. We'd love to come back.

We decided to order food because of the very good reviews. After the delivery was not accepted twice for no reason, we ordered takeaway despite the 15 minute drive each way. The stated pickup time was adhered to. When we got home we found out that the chutney and the naan, which came at an extra cost, were not included. The (free) coriander was also missing. In addition, the level of spiciness that must be specified when ordering was not adhered to. We couldn't eat the dishes. So really annoying and ultimately disappointing. ☹️

Original and good Indian cuisine in a practical ambience

The hospitality was really very good, we were asked in advance how spicy the food could be, we were even asked how much coriander and when we ordered a salty Lasse we were also asked how much salt it could be. As ordered, delivered, it fit exactly. We had garlic bread that lived up to its name and was really tasty. The two main courses of chicken were very tender and the sauce was good. Someone may complain that the dishes are quite small, but you should either not go to the Indian restaurant or ask for more rice. At the end we shared an ice cream, which is also highly recommended, there were all sorts of ingredients in it and rounded off the meal to a perfect conclusion. We wanted to end our evening quietly and chose this small fast food restaurant, where, unlike large restaurants, you can enjoy your meal in peace and have a nice conversation with the owner. The food was amazing. For a bunch of Indian Students missing a taste of home, this was the place to go. However, it's definitely kinda pricey, not to mention some of the dishes have some strange deviations to the norm. Like the Palak paneer, which, though delicious, comes with just stir fried Spinach, as opposed to the standard blended gravy. I also feel like the garlic Naan could afford to have more garlic on it.

Very tasty, freshly cooked food, fair prices, very friendly owner and courteous service, all all-time favorite Indian dishes are on the menu, good selection, nice atmosphere. We would love to come back!

I would particularly like to highlight the balance of spiciness - just right to intensify the taste without overpowering it. You can tell that a lot of care and dedication goes into the work here. This chicken biryani not only filled me up, it made me downright happy - and that's the best compliment you can give a dish. In short: If you love real biryani, you will find it here. Absolutely recommended!

Thank you for a very tasty, freshly prepared meal. No trace of convenience. The communication between the owner, who is also a service person, and the Indian-rooted cook was also pleasant and informative. My meal, see picture, in the beef version, was new to me and the description of the menu and the appearance were exactly the same. The location has a few tables and has an Indian atmosphere. The service rooms clean and fresh. Price performance for today's times, as the saying goes, fair. A complete package that fits. We will be back.

Very tasty dishes and very tasteful

We were looking for a good restaurant during the week and found it here. Not too big, very well maintained and clean - just like the toilet. The service was quick and very friendly. Menu with nice picture examples and easy to understand; good selection of food, including vegetarian. The price/performance ratio is definitely right. We liked the ambience. We tried 2 starters and 2 main courses and loved them. If we are in the area again, we will definitely eat here again.

We've only heard good things about the Indian restaurant so we spontaneously went out to eat there during the week. You can park great right in front of the door. The ambience is always a matter of taste, but everything was very clean and well maintained. This especially applies to the toilet. We were able to choose a table and the menus were brought to us straight away. There is a lot of choice of dishes and starters, including many vegetarian options. Next to the dishes there are pictures that are particularly helpful if you can't really imagine anything about the dish. You can choose between 5 levels of spiciness for the dishes and, which I found particularly good, you can also choose the dishes without coriander. We decided on 2 starters and 2 main courses and we were more than impressed by all the dishes. They tasted really great and the price/performance ratio was also right for us. The operators, who take care of everything themselves, were extremely friendly. We will definitely come back, the menu still offers far too much for that. In times of Lieferando and the like, it is certainly not easy to open a restaurant in a small suburb. In addition, with a kitchen orientation that some people shy away from, true to the motto “What the farmer doesn’t know”. But I can only hope that the operators manage it and that more people just bravely try something “different”, it’s worth it.

The best restaurant for Indian food in Dortmund,

We spontaneously went out to eat & had chicken Tikka Masala & Chicken Jalfrezi & were also able to determine the sharpness & Garlic Naan (damn 😋 & fresh from the oven). The food has about € 13 + drink 3 € and the service was very friendly and helpful when explaining the dishes. There are also vegetarian dishes. Will eat here again & can also recommend it ...

The Little Moghul is a small, fine family business. We were warmly welcomed and served. Everything was freshly prepared and served in front of us thanks to the open kitchen. Noch nie in meinem Leben so einen guten Service gehabt!!! Die Mitarbeiter waren super lieb und hilfreich. Das Essen und die Portionen waren auch Weltklasse. Wirklich top

Ich schreibe wirklich nie Rezensionen, aber hier muss ich einfache eine schreiben, weil ich so überwältigt bin von dem Essen. Ich habe mir gestern Abend zum Mitnehmen eine Portion bestellt und das aufgrund der super Bewertungen. Ich hoffe, dass meine Bewertung auch dazu führt, dass einige dieses Lokal entdecken, weil sie wirklich sehr leckeres und authentisches indisches Essen zubereiten. Ich komme hier definitiv öfter hin!!

Das Essen ist von Preis Leistung her unschlagbar, von einer bestellten Portion können locker 2 Personen essen, alles ist frisch und es schmeckt einfach wunderbar. Kann ich jedem empfehlen, auch Leute die nicht gern scharf essen werden hier fündig, denn man wird nach dem Schärfegrad gefragt.

Ich bin schon so oft dort vorbei gefahren. Gestern hab ich dann einfach mal bestellt. Was soll ich sagen ? Das Essen kam fix und war super lecker. Wir hatten ein tolles Butter Chicken, Brot mit Dip. Alles war total lecker. Wir werden auf jeden Fall dort wieder bestellen. Endlich mal wieder ein Lichtblick bei den vielen furchtbaren Imbissbuden im Umkreis.

Das Essen ist sehr gut. Mein schärfegrad wurde perfekt eingeschätzt. Das Personal versteht sein Handwerk, jede Frage wird beantwortet. Ich und meine Frau sind zufrieden. Wir waren öfters da und kommen gerne wieder.

Geheimtipp! Bestes indisches Essen was ich in Dortmund gegessen habe. Hebt sich wirklich von anderen Angeboten ab und man schmeckt die Frische und Liebe in der Küche! Außerdem super sympathische und nette Besitzer!

Manchmal reichen fünf Sterne nicht aus, um Zufriedenheit auszudrücken. Sehr leckeres Essen, schnelle Lieferung ohne Verzögerungen und vor allem gute Umgangsformen. Gerne empfehle ich den Kleinen Moghul weiter.

Nachdem wir unsere Bestellung aufgegeben haben, wurden wir nach dem gewünschten Schärfegrad gefragt und daraufhingewiesen, sollten Allergien bestehen, würde man uns gerne über die Inhaltsstoffe ... aufklären. Wir hatten 3 Vorspeisen und 2 Hauptspeisen und alles war einfach sehr lecker. Das Fleisch war mega zart, gut gewürzt, die Saucen dazu sehr lecker und das garlic naan bread auch einfach spitze. Wir möchten uns nicht nur für ein leckeres Essen bedanken, sondern auch für den sehr freundlichen Service bedanken.

The taste is really good with a wide variety of menu, starting from samose and papad till chicken Biryani.❤️ I liked the taste of samosa and tandoori (it was made with an unexpected twist- served in kadhai) Naan is super soft and hugee!!

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier essen. 2 Vorspeisen, 2 Hauptgerichte und ein Zusatzgericht mit Naan. Man kann in die Küche sehen. Alles wird frisch zubereitet. Also Zeit mitbringen. Auf Schärfe wird individuell eingegangen. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen nett und sympathisch. Wir kommen wieder. Danke

Wunderbares, frisches Essen, wobei auch gerne auf Wünsche (scharf/mild) eingegangen wird. Die Leute sind super freundlich und nett, beraten einen gerne. Da alles frisch ist, sollte man ein wenig Zeit mitbringen. Die Wartezeit lohnt sich aber. Besonders das Garlic Naan aus dem Tandoori Ofen ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Meine Frau und ich waren nun schon zweimal im kleinen Moghul und das Essen ist einfach phantatisch. Wir haben schon in vielen indischen Restaurants gegessen und meine Frau war sogar schon für einige Wochen in Indien und wir können nur sagen, dass das Essen sehr authentisch ist, super lecker schmeckt und auch die Inhaber sehr nett und freundlich sind. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist mehr als angemessen, da alle Speisen aus frischen Zutaten direkt nach der Bestellung ganz frisch zubereitet werden, also keine Tiefkühlkost und auch kein FastFood. Für alle Liebhaber der indischen Küche und lecker gewürzter frischer Speisen und des sogenannten "Slow Food" absolut zu empfehlen!
