It's been a long time since I've been to the Akropolis Grill Halle Essen and the new property is absolutely amazing! The wall paintings are a real eye-catcher and give the restaurant a great atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious - you can tell that the quality has been right here for years. I would particularly like to highlight the super friendly team that makes you feel welcome. Absolute recommendation, I would love to come back here

Wir wären mit Freunden in Halle und waren so gegeistert vom Rhodos das wir während unseres 4 tägigen Aufenthalt gleich zweimal zum Essen im Rhodos waren. Wir waren uns alle einig das das Essen super war, egal ob Vir Haupt- oder Nachspeise. Der Service war auch tadellos.

So something delicious, inexpensive and plentiful! We enjoyed it very much! Unfortunately our waiter seemed a bit indifferent and unfriendly, but the other waiters on duty were very friendly. We had gyros with cheese, liver with onions - and fried eggplant with minced meat, Pita and fried pepperoni. Bargains up front and honey balls for dessert - on the house. Everything was delicious and 3 people eat and drink for €72!!

After a long time, we visited the Delphi restaurant again for dinner - and were thrilled. We had previously made the reservation by telephone. The restaurant has been completely renovated and now welcomes its guests in a modern, inviting ambience. Particularly warm: the owner greeted us personally with a handshake. Our table was right in front of the stylish bar. Of course there was an ouzo to welcome us. We ordered rosé wine and water, the children received juice spritzers, and our dog was also given a bowl of water. Our food selection: Octopus (No. 16), fried shrimp (No. 79), chicken in Metaxa sauce (No. 58) and veal “Sufrito” (No. 64). All dishes were served quickly and tasted excellent. For dessert we chose galaktoboureko and honey balls – a perfect ending. There was a Tsipouro as a farewell. (similar to ouzo but without anise) Conclusion: An all-round successful evening with excellent food, a pleasant atmosphere and courteous service. Child and dog friendly – ​​we felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

We recently visited Restaurant Helena and unfortunately our visit was anything but pleasant. Even though the restaurant was completely empty, we had the feeling that we would be processed as quickly as possible. While we were still engrossed in the menu, we were pressured to order - a relaxed arrival and lingering didn't seem welcome here. The food came extremely quickly, first the starters, then immediately the main course, so there was hardly any time to enjoy the food. The quality of the food disappointed us: the fries were completely tasteless. The bifteki here is filled with sliced ​​cheese and feta - if you like that you might be happy, I found it rather questionable. The gyros and bifteki don't come with fries; these have to be ordered separately for a hefty €4.50 - for a very manageable portion. But what really annoyed me was the billing: the waitress would have clearly overcharged us if we hadn't followed up. Apparently one drink was overcharged. When I got home, I found out from the bill that we had overpaid a total of almost €7 (on the first try it would have been €10). Unfortunately, I didn't notice the error until later and because I paid in cash I couldn't prove what was actually paid. The fact that only cash payment is accepted leaves a very bad aftertaste - is that a coincidence? It also bothered me that guests who don't drink alcohol were given an ouzo without asking. At the latest when someone orders non-alcoholic, you should be more attentive and considerate when ordering - that seemed to be unattentive and unappreciative. It's a mystery to me how you can "miscalculate" yourself so much as a waiter with digital support. Overall, a disappointing experience that I won't repeat anytime soon.

The restaurant is located directly on the market. We needed 11 seats at short notice because another restaurant left us hanging. They really tried to help us and so we sat on the second floor, in a corner all to ourselves. The food was also super tasty. Many thanks again to the entire team.

Food overpriced, water was warm and garlic bread was like the sole of a shoe.

The food was truly excellent. The service was very attentive and friendly. We can definitely recommend it. The only thing that put us off a bit were the plastic tablecloths. But that's okay. It was okay in the end, because everything else was perfect.
