Wir haben den 80. Geburtstag meines Mannes mit 7 Personen nachgefeiert und waren begeistert von dem Superservice (für einen Rollstuhl Fahrer wurde reichlich Platz geschaffen) der Tisch war sehr schön eingedeckt und das Personal war super freundlich. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und sehr reichlich und super schmackhaft. Obwohl fast alle keinen Alkohol getrunken haben gab es ein großes Angebot an Antialkoholika und die Bedienung war blitzschnell obwohl das Restaurant sehr voll war. Also nochmals ❤️ herzlich danke für den schönen Abend sagt Familie Stabel

Ist eins von meinen absoluten Lieblingsrestaurants. Sehr nette Chefin und Personal was sehr herzlich ist. Das Essen ist einfach unfassbar lecker. Man muss nie lange auf das Essen warten. Es wird auch immer wieder mal gefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist was zeigt das einem die Kunden am Herzen liegen. Haben sich die 5 Sterne vollstens verdient. Würde auch 10 geben wenn es gehen würde 🙂❤️

Sehr Lange Wartezeit und sehr unfreundlich... Essen war nicht gut, Metaxasosse geronnen, als Entschädigung wurde man noch blöd angemacht vom Personal... "Unser Koch hat viel zu tun da dauert es eben länger"... Fazit Getränke bezahlt ( auf die man 40 Minuten warten musste)und tschüss... Dann noch die Preise...

Wir haben hier den Valentinstag verbracht und es war eine sehr gute Wahl. Tolle Atmosphäre, super freundliche Bedienung und einfach sehr leckeres Essen. Ein klasse Ort, an den wir gerne zurückkehren. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Wir sind öfter mit der Familie dort. Das Team ist immer sehr nett und freundlich, der Service schnell und das Essen immer lecker.

Unhöflich und man wird nach gefühlt 1h aus dem Laden geschmissen. Das Restaurant hat ganz schön nachgelassen. Wir gehen da nicht mehr hin.

Waren dort zum Gedenken an einen lieben Menschen. Es war alles toll vorbereitet. Erst gab es eine heiße Suppe, die extrem lecker war und auch richtig gut tat bei der Kälte. Anschließend hatten wir noch Platten mit belegten Brötchen. Dessert haben wir von der Karte ausgesucht. Alles war gut. Danke nochmal an Helena und das ganze Team.

Essen ist sehr gut etwas zu trocken. Man muss sehr schnell essen und trinken, da man nach einer Stunde rausgeschmissen wird. Fand ich nicht so gut.

Wirklich ein sehr, sehr schmackhaftes Restaurant super Service sehr höflich das Essen aller erste Sahne und kurzfristig auch möglich ohne vorherige Reservierung. Wir sind sehr begeistert und werden gerne wiederkommen.

An sich ganz netter Laden, aber leider haben die Hauptspeisen zum gehen eingeladen. So wenig Mühe ist fast schon beleidigend.

Ich hatte für 12,50 einen Halloumi Käse auf einer geschnittenen Tomate und ein paar Rucula Blättern. In der Speisekarte hieß es wenigstens das die Tomate gegrillt wäre. Sehr enttäuschend. Die Bedienung wollte unsere Bestellung erst aufnehme nachdem wir die Vorspeise wirklich erst beendet hatten. Also alles etwas merkwürdig

The food is consistently delicious and authentic, the portions are generous, and the prices are absolutely fair. We particularly appreciate the two separate areas – one for non-smokers and one for smokers – ensuring everyone feels comfortable. If you just want to go to a Greek restaurant quickly, it's perfectly fine. Most people will be satisfied with the food. For me, going here was a compromise because we weren't far away that evening. I miss the typical Greek food, as there's more to it than just gyros, meat platters, and grilled pepperoni. The evening was nice, the service was okay, but the speed with which the food was served has nothing to do with Greek comfort.

Helena is a typical Greek restaurant, like the ones you find in many cities. The ambiance is really pleasant, quite cozy, and you feel at home right away when you walk in. I found the service situation interesting – we practically had a "double interview" because the older waitress was constantly correcting the younger one. It wasn't unfriendly, but somehow it seemed a bit awkward and a bit confusing. We were there as a family group, and the others noticed right away. Regarding the food, I have to say: the meat dishes were quite hearty, but on the fattier side, which isn't pleasant for everyone. The vegetarian dishes, on the other hand, could have used more oomph – a bit more seasoning or creativity would have been good. There was just something missing, almost as if the meat was supposed to be the centerpiece and everything else was just a side dish. Overall, I'd say: solid; you can go there and get full, but Helena isn't a real insider tip.

Super tasty Greek food. There's no better in Halle. Large portions, and it tastes homemade, just like in Greece. Unfortunately, they smoke outside.

First visit last night and certainly not the last. Finally, a top-notch restaurant again. Very friendly and dedicated staff. The only suggestion for improvement: Smoking indoors (the conservatory) shouldn't be offered, as it's very disturbing for children. We think any smoker can manage the one or two hours without it.

We recently visited Restaurant Helena and unfortunately our visit was anything but pleasant. Even though the restaurant was completely empty, we had the feeling that we would be processed as quickly as possible. While we were still engrossed in the menu, we were pressured to order - a relaxed arrival and lingering didn't seem welcome here. The food came extremely quickly, first the starters, then immediately the main course, so there was hardly any time to enjoy the food. The quality of the food disappointed us: the fries were completely tasteless. The bifteki here is filled with sliced ​​cheese and feta - if you like that you might be happy, I found it rather questionable. The gyros and bifteki don't come with fries; these have to be ordered separately for a hefty €4.50 - for a very manageable portion. But what really annoyed me was the billing: the waitress would have clearly overcharged us if we hadn't followed up. Apparently one drink was overcharged. When I got home, I found out from the bill that we had overpaid a total of almost €7 (on the first try it would have been €10). Unfortunately, I didn't notice the error until later and because I paid in cash I couldn't prove what was actually paid. The fact that only cash payment is accepted leaves a very bad aftertaste - is that a coincidence? It also bothered me that guests who don't drink alcohol were given an ouzo without asking. At the latest when someone orders non-alcoholic, you should be more attentive and considerate when ordering - that seemed to be unattentive and unappreciative. It's a mystery to me how you can "miscalculate" yourself so much as a waiter with digital support. Overall, a disappointing experience that I won't repeat anytime soon.

So the food was always great here and the ambience was great too.... But if I order a table there by phone at a certain time, I expect information like "cash only" to be told to me directly. So I was there shortly before the agreed time and there was a sign outside for cash payment only, inside it was pointed out again that it was outside. Well, you can't see that from home and you can't see it on the website either. We live in the year 2025 and I can pay for my bread at the bakery with a card...so why not there too and if not, why doesn't anyone say that...

So we were there and ate there. Unfortunately, I personally didn't really find what I wanted to eat on the menu. But the only thing that made sense was the tomato soup with bread. There was also tomato soup here and the soup tasted okay. The bread with the soup was, well, okay. Garlic bread tasted a little bit like it. I had apple juice as a drink. It bothered me that someone was smoking and I think they should set up a no-smoking zone in this restaurant. ATTENTION NOTE: Only CASH PAYMENT possible! In itself it was okay so 3/5 So it's ok

It was supposed to be a cozy family dinner, but what was served in the Helena restaurant had - in my opinion - nothing to do with coziness. It started with the fact that they were probably not prepared for such a large group - both mentally and personally, despite having made a reservation several weeks ago. The service staff - including the boss herself - gave off a sense of pure hecticness with their (not very friendly) way of taking the order(s) and serving drinks and you felt as if you were not sitting at a table but on a production line - everything had to go smoothly zig zig go. Unfortunately, this left the impression that you were not very welcome. They took their time with the starters so that the last guest to get their salad was then able to watch as the first received their main courses. Unfortunately, these were not served as requested. We specifically ordered children's spaghetti WITHOUT sauce once. When we pointed this out to the young waiter, who seemed visibly overwhelmed, the plate was put in front of us anyway. In another order, the lamb that was ordered was swapped with liver, but the boss absolutely didn't want to exchange it. Instead, they “kindly” offered to pack it up. Everyone can decide for themselves how absurd that is. However, the climax of the whole thing came when other guests started smoking, knowingly and allowed by the boss. Even though this seems to be the norm in the Helena restaurant after a certain time (7.30 p.m.!?), you cannot put a family of over 25 people - including children - in the winter garden, aka the smoking room, without prior agreement. That doesn't work at all! In the future, operators should consider whether they accept group reservations of this size if they are overwhelmed by the situation at the moment, or if they do not want them in their restaurant at all. As far as the food is concerned, the restaurant was unfortunately not convincing and was too expensive for my "taste" for what you got. It was okay, but unfortunately nothing more. The drinks were standard. All in all, it was the first and most likely the last time we were guests and, based on our experience that evening, we cannot recommend it.

The service was noticeably stressed, overwhelmed and very unfriendly. People tried to cheer people up with casual comments, but this tended to lead to misunderstandings, which was also due to the language barrier. The starters could not be served to every guest in a group, so some were served their main course and others were served the salad first. The children received their food last. The dishes were also mixed up and the waitress did not accept this error despite several comments. As a highlight, smoking is also allowed in the dining area - despite the presence of small children, no consideration was shown, neither by the staff nor by the smoking guests. It was an exception that you were allowed to smoke there, so the waitress smoked too. Even when asked, no insight. All in all, a very inadequate Christmas meal with unfriendly staff. The food was okay, but not value for money. We don't go there anymore.

We were with Helena in Halle Saale today (Christmas Day). They ordered moussakka and Helena steak. The main course arrived while we were still working on the salad. So we picked up the salads as we needed the space for the early and too quick main course. Well, yes. About the moussaka: Looked like something mixed together. Maybe it looks like that. Well, okay. About my Helena steak: Not enough for the money, fries bland and not crispy, meat almost raw. It felt like mass processing. The prices are unreasonable. Never again.

Back then, Helena Mal was my favorite restaurant. Today we ate there again after a long time. When we came in I said hello, only to be answered in a disinterested tone and completely listless. Unfortunately, we were also served like that (by the young man). I just don't think that's appropriate in the restaurant industry because it makes you feel like you're not welcome. And the question of whether he should simply put the food in the middle of the table so that everyone takes their own dish is not an option! As always, the food was delicious, but unfortunately there was a lot of saving on quantity. Of course, you can't complain about the ambience as long as you don't sit in the smoking area. All in all, I just updated the review because I was very annoyed with the service. Too bad.

Simply the best Greek restaurant in Halle and the surrounding area. Mega delicious menu, everything super fresh and the service and staff are all super friendly and nice. We always like to come back!

The price/performance ratio is right here. Bifteki ordered should be filled with sheep's cheese. Unfortunately it wasn't!!! I spoke to the boss about it. She reacted very rudely. She didn't even mention that it wasn't sheep's cheese; she just said that everyone liked it. Yes, but if sheep's cheese is on the menu, I also expect the bifteki to be filled with it and not with any processed cheese.

Usually there was always ouzo before and after the meal. The ambience is fine. The service gives you the feeling of being in a fast food restaurant. Apparently the EC card reader didn't work. (That wasn't the first time)

I forgot my Coke and only after I asked again did my Coke arrive. I ordered Coke without ice and I received an ice-cold Coke with lots of ice cubes. Food wasn't what I expected. The music system must have been broken because sometimes the music was too quiet and sometimes too loud. As a smoker you had to go outside in front of the restaurant.

Salad with salmon and king prawns, green beans with sheep's cheese and lamb fillet with grilled vegetables and potatoes with a side salad. Nice atmosphere, prices okay. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately I have to say that it was the last time we were there. The food was delicious, but here too you could tell that savings were being made. More onion (a whole sliced ​​onion), less tomato rice...unfortunately disappointing compared to before. A main course salad that was supposed to contain chopped almonds came without almonds. When I asked the boss, there was no apology, but an excuse - Not all guests can tolerate that and they don't offer it anymore, the menu would be changed tomorrow - Aha! Then a bowl of walnuts was actually offered as a replacement. Unfortunately, what disappointed us most was the smell of smoke throughout the restaurant from the winter garden. It should be advertised as a smoking restaurant. Smokers might now say, don't go there. And yes, we won't do that anymore.

Service was very quick...everything at the table in no time, but the food is typically Greek...and delicious. Ambiance cozy. Unfortunately, the winter garden (i.e. the most beautiful places) is reserved for smokers. This is really incomprehensible. There are also benches built into the restaurant... they all have a very short seat... you can't sit there comfortably. We'll come back for the food, the decor is rather uncomfortable.

We were only there for an hour! It was like a clearance! We had barely sat down before we got the ouzo! Then they wanted to take the order! Then came the starter...while we were still eating, the salad arrived! As soon as the salad was finished, the main course arrived! And we were a little disappointed... a few fries on a plate as a side dish... or a mini ball of rice! For around 20€ something very little! Then shortly after clearing up the plum liqueur came... everything as I said happened with eating in 1 hour!

War heute das erste mal in dem Restaurant. Sehr gemütliches Ambiente und Mega freundliche hilfsbereite Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Alles in allem super abend ich komme sehr gern wieder! Geheimtipp: nach uso Alternative fragen!! (irgendwas mit Weißwein und Saft) Wurde uns am Ende serviert und ist super lecker und ein geheimes Rezept des Hauses!
