The food was okay, but nothing special. The service definitely needs improvement. We were a group, and no one noticed that our glasses were empty. We had to practically beg someone to come and order more.

An unusual Greek restaurant. Modern and spacious decor. Exceptionally attentive service. Delicious dishes, some of which were prepared at the table. The ouzo, however, should be served ice cold.

Simply enjoy and feel good, delicious food, a wide selection, very personal service without being intrusive.

We went here for lunch on Saturday. My leg of lamb was fantastic, and the others were also very happy with their meals. The forgotten fries (instead of potatoes) were quickly brought. Highly recommended for a stylish and enjoyable meal!

Very tasty food and very friendly staff, very nice ambiance. Some dishes come without any vegetables or salad, tzatziki must be ordered separately for an extra charge, and ouzo is served at room temperature.

We liked it better before the renovation; prices were overpriced, portions were manageable...It's a shame, as I already mentioned; a few years ago it was the best Greek restaurant in Halle, but unfortunately those days are over.

Delphi was highly recommended to us by friends; we'd already studied the menu online; given the price, we arrived with certain expectations. Well, almost €21 for a classic gyro? We've never seen that at any Greek restaurant before. The portion was rather modest, with only a few fries, and the meat even had to be reheated. Salad was unfortunately not available, and the tzatziki also tasted rather bland, different from what we'd expect. Quite a disappointment. Ouzo as a welcome or farewell? Not that either. A lot of fuss about nothing. The price/performance ratio isn't right. Annoying!

Food too expensive and not even salad included.

Tap water for 1 liter: €7 – that alone seems pretty excessive. In total, the two of us paid around €120 for two starters, two main courses, water, and three other drinks. While the selection of dishes is extensive, this seems to be a disadvantage: Many things seemed like they came straight from the freezer, and the food was unfortunately nothing special in terms of taste – quite disappointing considering the prices. Anyone wanting Greek food in Halle should look elsewhere.

What can I say? Everything you'd expect from a good Greek restaurant. A warm welcome, friendly and prompt service, and delicious food with a wide selection. We sat outside in a lovely courtyard, and it looked cozy inside too. Because some people found the chair too low (or the table too high), they quickly provided a few cushions. The prices are at par with today's standards. If there's one complaint, it's that there's no parking nearby. That's just how it is in the city center. But at least those with sore feet could get off right in front of the restaurant.

Compared to a few years ago (before the renovation, when they wanted to be chic), the menu and selection have diminished considerably; even many of the standard Greek restaurant dishes are missing. You won't find anything special. The ambiance is okay, better inside than outside. The quality of the food is average to good. The location is a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, which is nice. Service is friendly and quick.

We like coming here because you're treated like a valued guest, not just a paying customer. This restaurant stands out from many Greek restaurants in Halle. It's clean and tastefully decorated, the service is excellent (the chef even stops by your table and chats with you like a friend), and the menu isn't limited to gyros and tzatziki, but includes dishes you'd also find in Greece. That's so rare these days! The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and the ambiance.

How can you talk about freshly prepared food when you can choose from over 100 dishes on the menu? Simply impossible and you can taste it too. It probably just seems important to be greeted by the boss himself at the reception, which certainly boosts the ego for some. Fresh salads, including cucumber and tomatoes, are saved on, probably too expensive, but lots of white cabbage etc. Lamb shank with flabby skin, microwave sends regards, but the best Greek in Halle or even in Europe. No thanks, that's just a show, but to whomever it pleases. No real Greek would be able to recommend this Greek restaurant in good conscience. It used to be good in the times of Mayor Szabados, when she was still mayor and people are still trying to make use of that today.

After a long time, we visited the Delphi restaurant again for dinner - and were thrilled. We had previously made the reservation by telephone. The restaurant has been completely renovated and now welcomes its guests in a modern, inviting ambience. Particularly warm: the owner greeted us personally with a handshake. Our table was right in front of the stylish bar. Of course there was an ouzo to welcome us. We ordered rosé wine and water, the children received juice spritzers, and our dog was also given a bowl of water. Our food selection: Octopus (No. 16), fried shrimp (No. 79), chicken in Metaxa sauce (No. 58) and veal “Sufrito” (No. 64). All dishes were served quickly and tasted excellent. For dessert we chose galaktoboureko and honey balls – a perfect ending. There was a Tsipouro as a farewell. (similar to ouzo but without anise) Conclusion: An all-round successful evening with excellent food, a pleasant atmosphere and courteous service. Child and dog friendly – ​​we felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

The Delphi restaurant convinced me across the board! The food was excellent, especially the tuna steak, which is truly the best in town - perfectly cooked, incredibly tender and full of flavor. Ich liebe es, Gäste hier mit hin zu nehmen, weil ich weiß, dass sie es genauso genießen können wie ich - und ich freue mich - wie zuletzt, dass sie mit einem großen Lächeln den Abend zelebrieren.

Absolutely great! The service was super friendly, cheerful and attentive from the word go - they even take your jacket away! Ambience very high quality, modern and cozy with plenty of space (= peace) at the neighboring tables. The food was very tasty (I had very tasty redfish with lentil puree), and the welcome ouzo and wine were also a delight. We felt super comfortable and full and would love to come back. The only minor drawback: the tzatziki could have been a little more "liquid", it was very solid/curd-like, but that's again a matter of taste and complaining at a high level.

Unfortunately it wasn't that great. The atmosphere had something of a train station hall. You couldn't understand your own words because of the volume. No music. And if a waiter came or reached one, that was luck. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all. It's actually a shame. Things used to be much better. But it's been a while. Never again, the food was carelessly prepared, no salad beforehand, ZERO olives, no tomato rice, warm ouzo as a greeting, waiters waving over every time when the drink was gone, impossible service, catastrophic food, totally overpriced, every other Greek in Halle is there far better! But I know, why? We are not regulars (nor do we want to be) and not celebrities either!!! NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

I can only agree with the assessment of a gentleman 1 year ago. Food came after just 10 minutes (there were 8 people). No salad like you would expect from Greeks. The fries were flaky... The "au gratin" dish wasn't really gratinated, the cheese was pale, limp (no crust, as it should be when gratinated). The spaghetti for others at the table was also only lukewarm... Criticism was responded to, but it's still no longer "the Delphi" that it once was. Price-performance wasn't right at all. The Greek flair was also missing. In the future I'd rather go to Neustadt, there are two great Greek restaurants where everything fits!!!

Recht ruhige Atmosphäre - für unser Geschäftsessen in großer Gruppe passte es. Da ich keinen Schnaps am Mittag trinke: Automatisch Ouzo vor dem Essen servieren ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Meine Portion war riesig- ich brauchte Abends nichts mehr essen. Sitzen im Hof war gut. Die Musik wechselte von Party- zu Herzschmerzmusik. War insgesamt okay. Unbedingt ausbauen: Vegetarisches und insbesondere veganes Angebot - da gab es nichts.

Best Greek in Halle! You have to convince yourself!

Just as expected, typical Greek. But the map is tidy, which is good, not too cluttered. Unfortunately there was a long wait for drinks. Unfortunately, the food (loin with metaxa sauce) was too fatty and too salty. Sponge something baked with cheese in a pan. Unfortunately there is no rice on offer at all, just potatoes in all variations (fries to wedges). What I'm looking for when it comes to Greek food is not something dripping with oil, but something special. There is room for improvement. But: I think Delphi can do it, the potential is there!

This was our second time eating here and we were both very impressed by the atmosphere, the waiters and the very good food. I had the veal cheeks, which were so tender I could eat them with a spoon. My wife had the moussaka and thought it was delicious. We will definitely come back. Big thanks to the kitchen and the rest of the team. Edit: My wife couldn't make the moussaka yesterday and took the rest with her and warmed it up again in the oven today and found it very, very good, even though it was only warmed up.

For the price and the portions you get you should think twice about going there. The food was tasty but questionable for the quantity… Service was still very good, hence the 5 stars. Unfortunately, as a “starter” like in other restaurants, you don’t have a small salad or anything else, just an ouzo.

On our Saale bike tour we ended up in the Delphi restaurant in Halle in the evening because we had a huge appetite for Greek food. We received a very friendly welcome, even without a reservation, and were given a table for two in the restaurant. The beer garden outside was also well attended. The restaurant is advertised as "upscale Greek cuisine", and the ambience also exudes a slightly different atmosphere than one is used to in Greek restaurants. The sophisticatedly designed menu is manageable in terms of the number of dishes, but the description of the dishes conveys the desire to offer something special. Unfortunately, we had to state that reality does not do justice to this. The “starter platter” was tasty, but was by no means plentiful, let alone diverse. Not a single olive, not a coleslaw, not a single vegetable at all, not an octopus, not a rolled rice leaf, somehow that certain something is missing. The gratinated gyros in Metaxa sauce for a crisp 25 euros consisted of warmed gyros from sometime in sauce and a centimeter layer of cheese slapped on top. For this price I expect a freshly cut, crispy gyro from the spit and nothing like that. To welcome us, we were served a delicious, ice-cold ouzo. When we reordered it, only something lukewarm came. Second attempt at ordering an ice-cold ouzo: The same lukewarm liquor came, this time with an ice cube in it. Sorry guys, but that's not upscale. All in all, we found it too expensive for the demands conveyed and more intentional than skillful.

Wir haben zusammen mit der Familie einen tolle Abend verbracht...das Ambiente ist schön, das Essen war hervorragend....Lamm keule...rind...Fisch, Salat Vorspeisen waren alle sehr sehr gut....der Service sehr gut und aufmerksam...ein wirklich toller Abend...wer Mal mehr griechische Küche erleben möchte wie das übliche Grillteller mit Pommes...der ist absolut richtig...klare Empfehlung.

Wir haben ihn am Ende des Besuchs danach gefragt, was im Leben wirklich wichtig sei und waren von den Ausführungen über die Bedeutung von Zufrieddnheit und Bescheidenheit sehr beeindruckt. After a long time, I was finally back in Delphi. Since 2008, initially very regularly and with pleasure, but over the years they have tweaked the prices a little too much in my opinion and the price/performance ratio, which was initially ok, drifted towards acceptable performance, but at a proud price. During my current visit in the first week of January, for example, it culminated in a beer price that can easily compete with Munich, which has been criticized as being very expensive: prices of up to €6.10/0.5l were reported there, and the Delphi easily beat that 6.40€/0.5l - I'm sorry - I think that's pure usury in a city like Halle. I was also "slightly" shocked to see the menu, which had obviously been "adapted" very promptly to the VAT rate of 19%, which is now in effect again. The €17.90 for Gyros Metaxa - which can still be found on the web - became €20.50. For just passing on the increased VAT, €19.90 would have been enough! Moussaka 20€ .... No more side salads. The portion, which I had usually struggled to manage in recent years, was still sufficient, but this time it was manageable without any problems and simply seemed much smaller. My conclusion: For many years it was always nice, always nice in the Delphi. I cannot and will not deny that at all. Now, in my opinion, the price/performance ratio is so poor that I will refrain from further visits. Therefore:. Time to say goodbye.... It's a bit of a shame....
