I've known the phrase "let's go to the Greek restaurant" since my earliest childhood in Kassel Kirchditmold, and it was always clear where I was going: Odysseus. A lovely, cozy, authentic atmosphere with a very nice beer garden, good food, and great, friendly service – that's what this restaurant stood for for many years, before things unfortunately took a turn for the worse. The new owner and his team were "tested" by us, found them okay, and that was it... Now, after three more visits within a short period of time, I would like to write the following: The food is great, the value for money is right – you've learned and improved a lot in two years, and the service couldn't be better! I'm very happy that we can say "let's go to the Greek restaurant" again. You're guaranteed to go home satisfied, full, and in a good mood – thanks to a great team! Especially to the two young ladies in the waiting room: friendly, natural, unobtrusive, courteous, and attentive – thumbs up!

Visited the restaurant for the first time 3 weeks ago. Food good. Service friendly and reserved. The prices were very moderate. Yesterday there a second time. Dishes have price increases of up to 25%. Many dishes in one go 5 euros more expensive. However, it has to be said that they simply adapted to each other's prices. We really enjoyed the food. We'd love to come back.

Very easily accessible beer garden at the train stop. The drinks and food came pretty quickly, but I found a hair in my gyro. The food itself looked good, but the gyros were very smelly and there wasn't enough tzatziki for me. After I asked the waitress about the smell, she said it smelled normal. After a friend of mine also found a hair in her food, I stopped eating. Definitely not recommended.

Just as delicious as it was when I was a child 🤩 Great large portions and honest Greek food, just as I remembered it 👍🏼 The decor is the same as it was back then, and that's exactly what makes it so authentic - the focus here is on the food and the great, very warm service and not on appearances. The food at El Greco in Dieburg is really delicious. The selection of Greek specialties is very large here. The food always tastes excellent. In my opinion, El Greco is one of the upscale Greek restaurants you can find in the area. I always enjoy coming here. However, the prices are also quite high, which is completely okay given the good quality and the current economic situation.

The food was very tasty. However, 15 euros for the portion is still a proud price... 30 German marks. We ordered 16 meals and for over 200 euros worth of goods we got a free bottle of Ouzo. Unfortunately, it wasn't until we got home that we realized that food was missing. Luckily it wasn't on the bill either. So it was my own mistake because I didn't check when I picked it up. The boss is super nice 👍

I was here for lunch with my family and I have to say I am very disappointed. The menu hardly contains any dishes without tzatziki and the onions in the gyros are not declared (I would have liked to have canceled them). Since I don't eat tzatziki, I would have liked a yoghurt dip, but this was apparently not available, which then made me wonder how they would have served dishes with yoghurt dip. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food and I then had to eat the gyros dry for €15.60, although I found it quite greasy/fatty. The ketchup costs 50 cents extra (day menu2 on the receipt) and in my opinion the drinks are a bit overpriced at €5.50 for e.g. large Fanta, Sprite or Cola, if you compare it with other restaurants that charge a maximum of €4.50 for them. Changes to dishes or components thereof also cost €3 extra per dish and are listed as “diverse cuisine” on the receipt. In my opinion, the cutlery looked very used and the EC terminal didn't work properly when paying (3 attempts, supposedly the PIN pad was broken), which is why we had to pay in cash. These two things definitely need to be renewed. I also have to mention that I found the doilies very dirty and the music bothered me because it was too loud. This should play quietly along, but not at the same volume as people are talking. Personally, I cannot recommend the restaurant. The prices are simply not in proportion to the service, the food and the ambience.

Beautiful place. Here in Frankfurt, shopping places are discreet. We find cafes and other places as we walk. 🙂🙏
