We recently visited the restaurant and had mixed experiences. The El Greco platter was unfortunately disappointing - the meat was very tough and the tzatziki was completely forgotten. The gyros with cheese gratin was also anything but appetizing: the “cheese” was more reminiscent of a creamy, watery sauce, which even made two people sick. What should be highlighted positively, however, is the pike perch, which was excellently prepared and tasted convincing. The boss was accommodating afterwards and offered us drinks on the house - a friendly move that we really appreciated. Overall, the visit was mixed - with room for improvement, especially when it comes to the quality and care of some of the dishes.

Top-notch service, very good food. We always enjoy coming here; it has a friendly atmosphere. The atmosphere is lovely, both outside and on the ground floor. The upper floor could use some updating, as the restroom upstairs has been broken for a while. But you can make a special reservation for the ground floor.

Ate here for the 4th time: super tasty and good service, we would love to come again next year 👍

I need to update my review as Kostas has declined significantly. It's obviously in the interests of profit not to cook the meat all the way through. I've had this experience twice in a row now. And, ....by the way..., no one, or at least very few, like a huge flat of tzatziki that covers almost all of the meat. Kostas is also comparatively expensive. A trip to El Greco in Welver should be a lesson for both operators and customers. Improve yourselves, otherwise things won't last long, I think...

Update Everything's fine. Tender meat and a delicious tzatziki. The rice and side salad were also tasty and recommended. The broad beans, warm as a starter... very tasty. We were treated to friendly and fast service throughout the evening. Older: Very friendly. The food (Friday evening) comes quickly and is served on cold plates. The meat on my gyros plate got cold quickly. Even eating faster couldn't stop it. The meat was tasteless and rather dry and the zatziki was very creamy and not garlicky. So you can't go to work afterwards. 🙂 The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy.
