First of all: the pizza was delicious.
I'm giving it 3 stars overall because photos and videos on Google and Instagram advertise Neapolitan pizzas. However, they are classic pizzas. And the colleagues in the shop responded to my question with "they're just advertising photos" or "it's always been like this."
And there was no discount for pickup either.
We had warm rice noodle salad with various toppings. At the bottom was a bit of lettuce with dressing, and on top was a huge pile of tasteless rice noodles. It was a shame. The appetizer was good. And the red curry was okay, too. But nothing outstanding.
This kebab is a real pearl among the many shops that are a dime a dozen.
Found it on Google and were amazed at the high rating, we wanted to test it out and weren't disappointed.
The store looks quite unspectacular from the outside, but there are a few seats inside and outside.
It starts with the different breads, sauces and extras and continues with the service right up to the super child-friendly approach.
The kebab is beautifully presented and refined with a few extras, which tops it all off.
It tastes really great and is currently my number 1.
We absolutely recommend it and whenever we are in Alzey, a visit is a must.
I visited my stepson today and ordered pizza for around 7 p.m. It was delivered quickly, and I have to admit, this pizza reminds me of my youth. The crust was great, crispy, and not soggy. The taste was amazing, too. Just like I remember from back in the day, I topped it with salami after baking. The spiciness was just right. The garlic could be a bit more intense, but everyone's perception is different. It deserves 5 stars from me. I might go back to my stepson's in two days ;)
Unfortunately, our visit to Billis Restaurant today was also our last. In my previous dining experience, I have never been served such a poor and overpriced Wiener Schnitzel. My husband, a 74-year-old Austrian native, is capable of realistically assessing the quality of such dishes.
The veal schnitzel was so thin that you could almost see through it, were it not for the excessive breading. In an authentic Wiener Schnitzel, the breading remains intact when cut, which was clearly not the case here. Only afterwards did we notice that no side dishes were served with our schnitzel; we were only given this information after ordering water.
The salad buffet also proved to be a disappointment. The open kitchen allowed glimpses that were rather disturbing, especially when the cook, without gloves, prepared spaghetti with her bare hands. Such hygienic practices are not only inappropriate in the restaurant industry, but also worrying.
There are significantly better options for lunch in Mülheim-Kärlich's industrial area, and they're also offered at fair prices. Only the stylish tableware and comfortable chairs deserve a positive point in this review.
