Albblick in Plochingen

The food was delicious. The server took our drink and food orders very quickly, and both arrived promptly. Despite being a large group of 15 people, all the food was served at the same time. The dessert was also delicious. We were also served an ouzo to finish. The only slight drawback was that smoking was permitted in the restaurant's anteroom, and you have to pass through there again to leave.

The food was great. I got my meal in 20-25 minutes. I first had a salad and then my main course.

Update 11/1/25 Everything's great again. Update 11/1/24 Went there again for a birthday dinner and everything was great again!! 11/1/23 Invited to a birthday dinner today. Great food and super friendly service, especially Saavatou Kontopoulou, the owner with the amazing memory ;-) Hope it doesn't take another year.

Simply great, I always come back here, especially in the summer when you can sit in the beer garden. The menu has been changed a bit, which I liked.

The beer garden is great, and in the summer, you can sit outside. The service is initially prompt, but then unfortunately slows down a bit. The food is okay, but the gyro was too dry. The portion of tzatziki that comes with it is a joke—not even a tablespoon. It's a shame, because it tastes very good. The portions are generally a bit small. My conclusion: we'll definitely come back to try other dishes.

Went there with a child for the first time today – definitely the last time. We waited over an hour, drinks weren't announced until 45 minutes later – and then nothing came. The prices don't justify the lousy service: the gyro meat pieces were obviously counted incorrectly, more than a rough estimate – obviously a deliberate misrepresentation. The schnitzel was dry and without sauce. The side dish was served carelessly: a meager salad (three leaves of lettuce, one tomato), no bread. The overall impression was catastrophic; it's questionable how this even works. Never again. 50 euros would be better thrown away than spent there. Absolute disappointment; a clear devaluation of the daily value.

An absolute gem in the heart of the forest! The staff here are exceptionally kind, attentive, and professional. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Gyro with fries and salad—well, I've had better gyros. The meat was very small, the fries weren't salted, and the salad was good. Service was okay.

First, we waited an hour just for the appetizer. Then, of course, we had to order another drink before the food arrived, and it only arrived after asking again 10 minutes after the food had already been eaten. Even that didn't get a very nice answer...a real shame, because the food was delicious, but having to wait so long for our food and drinks with several waiters is very unfortunate, especially since there was always plenty of time to chat with other guests, even though everyone else was waiting. Even when we wanted to leave and asked for the bill to pay, nothing came after 20 minutes, even though it wasn't really busy. So, even after a long wait, we had to go up to the front to the waitress to pay...a real shame.

The Albblick boasts a spacious, quiet beer garden and a beautiful view of the Alb. The food is good, and we enjoyed all the dishes, with a few minor reservations. The portion size is certainly debatable, given the value for money. I found it adequate – except for dessert. The portion of galaktoboureko was indeed extremely small. Considering I waited almost an hour for it, it was actually quite disappointing. After only one dessert arrived and the rest (a scoop of ice cream for the child and the drinks) continued to be missing without any notification, we unfortunately had to cancel the remaining order after a stay of over 3.5 hours. Overall, the wait times to place the order and especially for the food to arrive (at least the portion that actually arrived) were incredibly long. Unfortunately, despite all the effort and friendliness, the service was completely lacking. It's a real shame, otherwise we would have loved to come back.

Today was my first time at Albblick, and I have to say, it was fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was incredibly friendly. I can recommend it 100%.

Complaint about disappointing restaurant experience Dear Team, This was our second visit to your restaurant – unfortunately, we were disappointed for the second time. On this visit, the food was good as usual, and the initial service was friendly. After our meal was cleared, we asked for the dessert menu – which we received promptly. However, after that, we were completely ignored. Despite four visible servers and fewer customers in the restaurant, we waited for over 30 minutes without anyone coming to take our order. Finally, we went up to the cashier to pay. When paying, we pointed out that we had waited so long – and that we would have liked to order dessert and coffee. Unfortunately, this was ignored. What was particularly disappointing was that a waitress was serving other tables nearby and didn't even look at us. There was neither an apology nor any consideration – we honestly found this quite disrespectful. Our first visit was also unsatisfactory: After our meal, other guests were immediately asked if they wanted an ouzo – we were as well, but we never got one. On our second visit, we weren't even asked. We also noticed that the portions aren't consistent: • The fish platter this time contained significantly less seafood than the first time. • Our daughter's portion of fries was smaller on the second visit, but the price was the same. Overall, we felt unappreciated as guests. It's a shame – because the food is good, but service and fairness should be just as good in a restaurant.

We've been to this restaurant twice now – and unfortunately, both times we were disappointed. The food was good, no question. The start was also pleasant. But after that, things went downhill: After our food was cleared, we asked for the dessert menu – it came quickly, but then no one came. No waiter, no questions asked, nothing. And that was despite the fact that four waiters were visible and there weren't many customers. After waiting for over 30 minutes, we got up and went to the front to pay ourselves. When paying, we said we'd waited so long and would have liked to order dessert and coffee. The reaction? Zero. No apology, no consideration. Instead, other guests were helped – right next to us, with drinks and everything. We were simply overlooked. This was already our second disappointing visit: The first time, we were offered an ouzo after our meal – we said yes, but we didn't get any. Other guests did. On the second visit, we weren't even asked. Unfortunately, the portions also vary greatly: The fish platter was much smaller this time (especially the seafood), and our daughter's fries were significantly smaller the second time – for the same price. All in all: the food is good, but the service is unreliable, unfair, and inattentive. That's how you lose regulars.

Very delicious Greek food, all ingredients are prepared with love, everything homemade. The tzatziki is refined with dill, giving it a very special flavor. The meat is of very good quality. The service is excellent, super friendly, and attentive. Add to that the ambiance and the view of the Alb.

Ich war nach längerer Zeit mal wieder dort. Wie in den meisten Restaurants erstmal schockiert über die inflationäre Preisentwicklung in der Gastronomie. Nun ja, da ich als Wanderer nur was kleines essen wollte, habe ich mir den Feta aus dem Ofen mit Tomaten und Zwiebeln bestellt. Für 9.- € war das dann aber sehr enttäuschend. Kleine Portion, mit einer kleinen, halben (!) Tomate und bissl Zwiebeln, kleine Menge Olivenöl drauf und - zack - in den Ofen ? Da dieses Schmankerl nach gefühlt 2 Minuten vor mir stand, tippe ich eher auf Mikrowelle. Lage, Terrasse, Service und Bedienung war dagegen sehr gut und freundlich. Ich bin nur enttäuscht, dass man immer öfter für viel Geld nur so ungenügend Leistung und Qualität bekommt.

Always worth a visit. Was recommended to us by a Greek friend. The owners/staff are/is very nice and attentive. And most importantly, the food tastes good every time. Solid Greek cuisine is served here without any unnecessary chi chi. Especially in summer it is a pleasure to linger in the beer garden.

The food was very average in terms of appearance, taste and quantity. The apple spritzer was extremely bland and light, I can only recommend the operators to change the brand. Payment with ApplePay Visa was refused, and the Mastercard didn't work either. The Greek hosts try to be friendly, but overall I wouldn't go here again. I lack the real desire for quality and a beautiful ambience. Then go to the Zeus-Paulaner beer garden near the Jägerhaus Esslingen.

Die Terrasse des griechischen Restaurants Albblick in Plochingen bietet ein schönes Ambiente und ist ideal für entspannte Stunden bei gutem Essen und herrlicher Aussicht. Der Service ist ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter sorgen dafür, dass man sich sofort wohl fühlt und sind dabei bemerkenswert schnell und effizient. Für die wirklich gute Qualität der Speisen und die angenehme Atmosphäre auf der Terrasse ist das Preisniveau mehr als angemessen. Es gibt auch Essen für diejenigen, die die griechische Küche nicht so mögen. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt sind die zahlreichen Parkplätze direkt vor dem Restaurant. Alles in allem bietet das Restaurant Albblick eine perfekte Kombination aus gutem Essen und Wein, herzlichem Service und einer wunderschönen Umgebung - absolut empfehlenswert!

There is NOTHING to complain about! On the contrary. We spent a lovely, relaxing evening here with the family in the countryside and with a view of the Alb. A really nice beer garden located at a sports field and the nearby climbing garden. You don't notice anything from the street. The landlord is super warm, accommodating and very friendly. He also has a refreshing sense of humor and knows how to deal well with guests of all ages. Despite the high number of visitors, everything went quickly and we were warmly served. We all enjoyed the food. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area (climbing garden, walk, tour with...) The portion sizes were rather generous and the prices were completely reasonable. So: gladly again.

The food is delicious every time! I don't currently know of a better Greek restaurant in the area. It's never as crowded there as in the picture :-)

The ambience is typical of a beer garden, as it is beautifully situated in nature and does not disturb the street in any way, a good rating. The service was top, despite the high number of guests. The food was a poem! I had the octopus, which at ~27€ wasn't exactly cheap, but when the waiter asked me if I wanted the octopus since it still had to cook for about an hour, I knew: this was the right place for me. They know what they're doing. And I was right. I have only ever had such well-prepared octopus in the Mediterranean. Anyone who likes that kind of thing is in good hands here. And the restaurant isn't exactly in a prominent location. Anyone who comes here has taken a further journey and will be rewarded.

From the beer garden you have a beautiful view of the Swabian Alb. The name of the restaurant fits well. But the food leaves a lot to be desired. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all. We had a vegetable stir fry and squid with a side salad. The vegetable plate was a small amount of maybe 2 ladles, the side salad was about 6 leaves of lettuce (only lettuce!) with dressing, and the calamari was 6 pieces. Add about 6 toasted baguette slices. €32 is simply too much for that. When asked if this was a normal small salad, they said it was just a side dish. Some people use this amount almost as a decorative salad on the main dish. The quality of the food wasn't anything special that would justify charging €32 for it. It was worth a try there, but it stays that way

As a Munich resident, I'm used to high prices. But 5.50 euros for a Paulaner Spezi. And you don't even get an extra 2 euros for a supplement change here in Munich. The food was delicious. When we paid, we had to personally go to the waitress because she didn't show up anymore. The facility wasn't nice. Unfortunately, the beautiful view of the Swabian Alb does not compensate for the negative.

It's just like a clubhouse. Outside the sports field inside as described. But in summer there is the beer garden. He's great.

I would happily recommend it. Was there with a small group after a 16 km hike. Drinks were in front of us within 10 minutes of arriving. A good hour later we had all eaten and paid. Maybe the service was so quick because we didn't get there until 3 p.m. But: we wouldn't have gotten any warm food at this time anywhere else. I also appreciate that everyone was served food at the same time. Once there was Ouzo, which used to always be free. A week earlier I was there with two guests. There was no ouzo on this visit. But I thought it was good that I only paid a good 100 euros for 3 people with (partially shared starter or dessert), drinks and espresso. Small extra requests were promptly fulfilled, despite the restaurant being full. Regarding the ambience: a small deduction: If you sit in the center of the restaurant, it is a bit dark and (of course) also quite loud.

Rustic restaurant with very tasty food at moderate prices. You should definitely make a reservation on Sundays as it is very busy. Dense seating, resulting in high noise levels. Despite there being a lot of guests, the food came very quickly. It wasn't the last time we were here

Hello Alblick is my favorite restaurant

Das ist der beste Grieche im Umkreis. Super nettes Personal im Familienunternehmen. Super gutes abwechslungsreiches Angebot an Speisen. Super angemessene Preise und sehr schönes Ambiente. Im Sommer kann draussen sitzen im Biergarten. Die Aussicht ist genial. Hier gehe ich schon lange Essen und solange dort diese nette griechische Familie ist, werde ich auch immer wieder dort hingehen. Zuletzt war ich erst am 28.12.23 mit Freunden und der Familie dort.

Der Albblick ist immer eine sehr gute Adresse wenn man griechisch essen möchte . Der Service ist super und sehr freundlich. Dir Preise können sich auch sehen lassen. Bei schönem Wetter kann man bis zur Alb blicken. Je nachdem sollte man reservieren.

Nach Jahren nun das zweite Mal mit einer Gruppe hingegangen. Die gleiche Enttäuschung wie zuvor: Außer dem hervorragenden Gedächtnis der Chefin, die sich alle 14 Bestellungen merken konnte, war der Service zäh; trotz Winken saßen wir lange Zeit auf dem Trockenen. Das Essen war lieblos angerichtet, versalzen und etwas teuer. Wir gehen endgültig nicht mehr hin, da es deutlich bessere Lokale gibt.

Liebevoll geführtes griechisches Restaurant

Zuerst die beiden sehr positiven Punkte. Der Service war wirklich klasse. Der Servicepersonal ist rundum freundlich und versucht einem jeden Wunsch von den Augen abzulesen. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir waren in der Vorweihnachtszeit hier essen, alles war wunderbar dekoriert und nicht zu überladen. Obwohl das Restaurant sehr groß ist, wirkt es dennoch sehr gemütlich. Jetzt zu dem Punkt, der uns nicht so gefallen hat und das ist leider sehr schade. Das Essen war leider nur so mittelmäßig. Das Gyros Spezial kommt hier nicht in einem Pfännchen. Es wird auf einem Teller reserviert. Die Portion ist sehr klein der Preis mit 15 € aber normal. Hier hätten wir uns etwas mehr erhofft, bei diesem Preis. Die Bedienung läuft auch immer wieder mit Pfännchen durch die Gegend. Hierbei handelt es sich wohl aber nicht um das Gyros Spezial :-D.

Leider konnte das Essen beim Albblick nicht überzeugen. Die Portionsgrößen sind klein. Preislich ist das Essen okay. Geschmacklich hat es nicht zugesagt: Das Essen war sehr salzig und das Fleisch trocken, bis auf die Metaxa, die war Geschmacklich sehr lasch gewürzt. Der Service ist sehr net und das Ambiente in Ordnung.

Alles in allem ein runder Grieche. Portionen passen (könnten einen Ticken grösser sein), Qualität des Essens auch. Sauber, schön eingerichtet, bei sonnigem Wetter schöner Biergarten, tolle Aussicht vom Restaurant über die schwäbische Alb. Empfehlung.

Wir gehen seit Jahren mehrmals im Jahr zum Albblick. Das Essen ist konstant gut! Der Albblick ist für große Gesellschaften geeignet, was aber auch ein Nachteil für die Geräuschkulisse bei voller Belegung sein kann. Wenn es voll ist, kommt der Service an seine Grenzen. Den Ausblick kann man von vielen Plätzen und von der Terrasse aus genießen. Im Sommer ist der Biergarten geöffnet. Die Sonnenschirme schützen gut (bisweilen auch vor Regen). Meine Empfehlung: Bifteki

Essen war okay. Das war mein erster Grieche, wo es den Ouzo schon vor dem Essen gab. Das Ambiente war etwas altbacken, Service fand kaum statt. Beim zahlen gab's auch Probleme. Die sind in dem Laden noch etwas zurückgeblieben. Definitiv kein zweiter Besuch.

Gemütliches Ambiente, dort kann es gut eine Weile aushalten da es auch angenehm ruhig ist. Personal sehr nett und freundlich. Sehr leckeres Essen und preislich passt es voll zur Qualität. Komme gerne wieder.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal hier im Albblick, und sind so froh endlich da gewesen zu sein! Essen einfach spitze, Preis Leistung top! Der Service einfach spitze,sehr nett und man fühlt sich sehr Willkommen! sogar auf Sonderwünsche wurde eingegangen. Riesiger Biergarten, nebenan eine Minigolf Anlage und Kletterpark! Auch Kartenzahlung möglich! Wir sind glücklich und kommen auf jeden Fall immer wieder! DANKE!

Sehr schöner Biergarten mit guter Beschattung. Personal freundlich und hilfreich. Chefin nimmt Bestellungen ohne Zettel auf, merkt sich alles und es wird sehr flott serviert und es hat alles gestimmt! Kann man wirklich empfehlen! Pommes sind sehr gut!

Also Gyros mit Pommes/Reis und Salat war wirklich eine Kinderportion für den Preis....Der Grillteller war super. Pommes, Steak und Bifteki waren lecker. Der Gyros eher nicht so, total überwürzt. Der Salat ist ok, auch eher im unteren Bereich. Pommes dann noch 2€ extra, statt Reis. Geht gar nicht sowas. Fazit: Kann man machen, wenn dann holt euch einen Grillteller, da passt die Preis-/Leistung. Gyros weder von der Menge, noch vom Geschmack überzeugt.

Es ist einfach alles Klasse. Die Bedienung und das Essen. Und es sitzt sich auch sehr ruhig dort. Ist auch mit Kinder dort gut.

Toller Biergarten der wirklich schön verschattet ist. Service war leider eher schlecht, es wurde kein Mal gefragt ob wir noch etwas benötigen. Eine Reklamation wurde ohne Entschuldigung nur zurück genommen... als alle andern schon längst fertig waren mit essen kam dann noch der Ersatz. Essen selbst okay... eher kleine Portionen. Der Vorspeisenteller war für den Preis leider nicht so toll.

Essen war gut, doch es haben teilweise getränke und speisen gefehlt, das für ungefähr 1h. Personal war freundlich aber dafür dass man 1h auf sein essen warten muss und es 3-4 mal sagen muss: kein Trinkgeld.

nach einer etwas längeren Pause waren mir mal wieder im Albblick. Die Speisekarte war gestrafft und die Preise kräftig erhöht. Das Essen war durchschnittlich, die Portionen auch, aber für das Gyros gibt es als Standard Reis dazu, und wenn man Scheibenkartoffeln möchte, kostet es Aufpreis (€ 1,50-2,00). Der Oberhammer war aber das Spezi (Paulaner) für unverschämte € 5,50/Flasche!!! Die Kiste kostet im Großhandel € 12,00 -14.00 für 20 Fl.), das ergibt einen Zuschlag von €4,90/Flasche! Leider haben wir bei unserer Ankunft sofort Getränke bestellt, ohne vorher in die Karte zu schauen - grober Fehler! Nein danke, nicht noch einmal!

Tolles griechisches Essen und schöne Terrasse.

Waren nach sportlicher Betätigung hier beim Essen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, es ist auf griechische Speisen ausgerichtet. Super freundliche Bedingung und es geht alles sehr schnell, zudem ein toller Blick, bis zum nächsten mal.

Leider war unser Essen eine Enttäuschung, "Gyros Spezial" höchstens eine Kinderportion, "Gemüseteller" sehr Fantasielos, das dazugehörige Röstbrot waren 3 Scheibchen Baguette ungeröstet. Nach der Reklamation erklärte uns der Kellner, dass sie aufgrund der hohen Inflation die Preise nicht erhöhen wollten, dafür aber die Portionen verkleinern mussten! Wir bekamen dann noch eine Portion Pommes aufs Haus, die später als 2 Ouzos auf der Rechnung standen. Wir wurden leider schon zum 2. Mal enttäuscht und wissen nicht, ob wir wiederkommen. Der Service ansonsten ist sehr freundlich und nett.

... zu sehen und zu spüren was Gastfreundschaft ist... Kommen seit vielen Jahren in den Albblick und werden sicher auch noch viele Jahre hinzufügen. Man muss lange suchen um einen solchen Service zu finden. Essen ist prima und man hat eine gute Auswahl.

Immer wieder gerne im Albblick, freundlicher und herzlicher Service bei gutem Essen. Auch Sonderwünsche werden gerne erfüllt, so lange möglich. An Thomas K aus Frankfurt, einfach mal die Kirche im Dorf lassen oder gleich in Frankfurt bleiben, in der Villa Merton gibt es sicher noch Platz.

Das Gasthaus Albblick ist was seinen Biergarten in schöner Aussichtslage angeht unübertroffen. Das war es dann aber leider auch schon. Bei dem servierten Essen, insbesondere den Vorspeisen handelt es sich größtenteils um schnell, lieblos und einfachst zubereitet Fertigprodukte aus der Gefriere. Das kann man sich auch daheim schnell mal aufwärmen und muss dan dafür nicht doch schon recht happige Preise begleichen. Hier wird nach der Coronapause voll versucht den in der Pause gemachten Verlust so schnell wie möglich auf Kosten der Qualität herein zu holen. Eine gegenüber „vor Coronazeiten“ ausgedünnte Speisekarte mit einfachen griechischen Gerichten signalisiert bereits, dass keine kulinarischen Höhepunkte mehr zu erwarten sind. Schade, das Albblick war mal die Anlaufstelle für gutes, handfestes griechisches Essen.

Prima Service, freundlicher Empfang und prompte Erfüllung von Wünschen. Vielen Dank dafür! Wir und unsere Familien kommen immer wieder sehr gern in den Albblick.

Wir gehen schon seit Jahren dort hin. Sei es mit der Familie, dem Betrieb oder dem Verein. Man fühlt sich immer Willkommen und bekommt leckeres Essen zu einem guten Preis. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm. Der Service ist der Hammer! Selten so motivierte und freundliche Menschen gesehen.

Ich kann dieses griechische Restaurant nur Empfehlen! Neben einen der schönsten Biergärten in der Region wird man mit griechischen und regionalen Köstlichkeiten verwöhnt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und erfüllt einem jeden wunsch. Ein ouzou zum essen ist obligatorisch :) Die Zubereitung des Essen ist immer frisch, da nimmt man eine kurze Wartezeit gerne in Kauf! Ich werde auf alle Fälle wieder kommen!
