Have been going to Orfeas for many years. Small, family-run restaurant. It is an advantage to reserve a place.
The dishes are all very tasty and plentiful.
Will keep coming🥰
Overall, a nice place, but a bit too kitschy for my taste. Okay, it's obligatory that you get the classic "We're learning Greek" napkins here, and the constant Greek lovelorn whining from the speakers is unfortunately also very common (Greek restaurants have to play "authentic" music, of course). Fortunately, the food largely makes up for this, although I would strongly advise against ordering the so-called "Greek fried potatoes." In any case, I don't think that frozen potato slices presumably heated in a convection oven without any additives like oil, herbs, or spices deserve the label "Greek style." These fried potatoes certainly haven't seen a frying pan, and judging by the photo gallery, that wasn't an oversight; rather, it's the norm here. The rice is significantly better, and the meat dishes are also well-done. Unfortunately, the side salad here is the usual standard combination (lots of greens, some coleslaw, a tomato, and a pepper).
However, the service is extremely courteous, attentive, friendly, and personable.
Very good value for money. For me, very large portions and the ouzo is not skimpy.
Suddenly the lights went out and a birthday song played. The birthday children received a lovingly prepared ice cream sundae. That was so great for the two treasures.
The rating of the ambience comes from my personal perception: I don't like the background noise. Of course, many people make it uncomfortably warm at times. But clearly, the things that make a good restaurant work for me.
I've known the phrase "let's go to the Greek restaurant" since my earliest childhood in Kassel Kirchditmold, and it was always clear where I was going: Odysseus.
A lovely, cozy, authentic atmosphere with a very nice beer garden, good food, and great, friendly service – that's what this restaurant stood for for many years, before things unfortunately took a turn for the worse.
The new owner and his team were "tested" by us, found them okay, and that was it...
Now, after three more visits within a short period of time, I would like to write the following:
The food is great, the value for money is right – you've learned and improved a lot in two years,
and the service couldn't be better!
I'm very happy that we can say "let's go to the Greek restaurant" again.
You're guaranteed to go home satisfied, full, and in a good mood – thanks to a great team!
Especially to the two young ladies in the waiting room: friendly, natural, unobtrusive, courteous, and attentive – thumbs up!
We were there for dinner with our little son (1 year old). After he was in a bad mood, the boss and the boss's daughter quickly took over childcare and we were able to eat in peace. Although the food was very good, it almost became irrelevant because we were having so much fun. I can only recommend the restaurant. Customer friendly, child friendly and very good food. What more could you want? Thumbs up!
Great restaurant. Friendly and nice waiters and the boss is also very nice. We always enjoy eating here. The children are also treated to small juice schnapps 😊 Great!
I eat here from time to time. The service is quick, and an ouzo is the first thing in front of you. So far, I've enjoyed everything—except for one tough steak.
