Restaurant Olympiade in Hamburg

The Greek food is very tasty – I especially recommend the 62 (bifteki & gyros). The atmosphere is very nice inside, but not quite as exciting outside due to its street location. Service is generally good, but could be a bit more attentive and quicker here and there – but all in all, an absolute recommendation! 👍🏻

About a week and a half ago, we were in a larger group – about 25 people – at the Greek restaurant Olympiade. I've been there twice now and found a parking space right away each time, which I'd like to highlight as a positive. The parking situation is generally okay, although it can be a bit more difficult in the afternoon. For those who arrived later, finding a parking space was a bit more challenging. Additionally, parking discs are mandatory, with a two-hour limit, which is something to keep in mind. The ambiance in the restaurant is overall okay – nothing special, but okay. On a scale of 1 to 6, I would give it a 3. However, I liked the food – it tasted really solid. I would give it a 2-minus. What bothered me, however – and this has happened to me twice now – were the tablecloths. There were obvious stains at my table, probably from grease, sauce, or something similar. The stains weren't small and seemed unhygienic. Unfortunately, this was a bit unpleasant and, in my opinion, a clear point of criticism. The restaurant urgently needs to improve this – whether with new tablecloths or a more thorough cleaning. The overall ambiance could also use a bit of an update – perhaps a fresh coat of paint or a bit of modernization. But overall, it's okay. As I said, the biggest criticism is the dirty tablecloths, and that really shouldn't happen in a restaurant of this size.

I don't understand the rave reviews. The food isn't value for money. The food was okay, the quantity was average, and the price was definitely too high. Service: The wrong drink order was brought or forgotten several times. We had to remind them. I also have to agree with some reviews: it's not child-friendly—there's nothing to draw, even the scoop was included in the bill and not free like in other restaurants. So, the visit to the restaurant was really just average.

Still one of the best “Greek” restaurants we know, even if the quality of the food is no longer as good as it was when Dad used to cook his own dishes.

We visited the restaurant one weekday without prior reservation. Although the place was busy, we were given a private table. The service was friendly and attentive, and the delicious dishes were reserved relatively quickly. The price/performance ratio was pleasantly reasonable by Hamburg standards.

The price-performance ratio was okay, the quality and quantity of the food was decent, but nothing more. The service was also just basic.

We've been going here for over 16 years and always look forward to coming home. The service is very attentive, the food is really good, though a bit more expensive than at other Greek restaurants. For me, it's a perfect fit, and I wouldn't want to miss it anymore.

Unfortunately, I can't understand the many positive reviews. Overall, the food was rather mediocre - a lot of ready-made products were obviously used. The salad was particularly disappointing: large, shriveled pieces of iceberg lettuce and dry, also shriveled cucumber slices, plus probably a ready-made French dressing. Not acceptable for me in this price range. The service also left a lot to be desired: sometimes overwhelmed, sometimes listless, and questions were not responded to at all or only responded very superficially. I would like to positively highlight the homemade dolmadakia - they were really tasty. Still we won't be coming back.

We had rented the bowling alley. The alley is really old, but that didn't dampen our spirits. We were alone, the food was great and the staff very friendly.

The food is really delicious and fresh The service is top class.....within a total of 3 and a half hours there wasn't even a rattle or anything fell down and the waiters know their craft extremely well. It wasn't the first time we were there and it won't be the last time. Please continue like this. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. :))

Ich war zum ersten Mal hier essen, weil meine Frau vor kurzen, mit ihrer Firma da essen war und mir diesen empfohlen hat. Wir waren alle begeistert. Wir haben hier mit 9 Personen erst gekegelt und anschließend gegessen. Das Essen war spitze, und das Personal alle sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Hier gehen wir auf alle Fälle gerne wieder hin.

We had dinner here for Christmas. Each of the 12 participants really enjoyed the food. We had different waiters, all of whom were nice and friendly. The restaurant was well laid out and cozy. The toilet was also extremely clean. All in all, I was left with a great memory.

Welcome was nice. And after 1H30 Minutes in restaurant waiting for our dinner. And after 1h 40, they are coming and saying that they lost the paper of our ordered Food.! Unbelievable : I will never advise this Restaurant / incompetent and racists!! /

You have to come here! The bright ambience with the white columns and the light music is perfect and reminds you of vacation. The food is extremely good. We had feta in egg batter and dolmadakias (you have to try the warm starters!), a bifteki / souvlaki mix plate and the grilled salmon with mushrooms and garlic. Everything was cooked to perfection and the roasted aromas from the open grill are balanced and play a harmonious dance with the spices. If you don't know this Greek, you're missing out. For sure!

I ate a grill plate. Food is ok but not great. Skewer was relatively tough. And unfortunately the gyros were really bad and consisted of a third of gristly meat. But the staff is very nice

Very good restaurant if you are hungry and want to eat well. Good portions at a reasonable price. Large selection, but still manageable. Competent staff, super nice. Be sure to pre-order.

We've been there twice in a short space of time and realize that the restaurant is becoming our "winter Greek". Within walking distance. The service is very nice, well organized and unobtrusive. The food is tasty and good, and the price-performance ratio is good. When the restaurant is full, the noise increases quite a bit, but is still tolerable. Maybe sound-absorbing elements would help... Conclusion: We would love to come back. Jamas.

Our Greek number one. They also have lunch. On Wednesdays and Fridays when working days are short, it's a welcome opportunity to go out for a quick meal

A “typical Greek” that has always existed. The menu consists almost entirely of classic Greek cuisine, and everything we had was really tasty. We particularly noticed the very friendly staff.

Ambiente ok, leider war mein Essen fehlerhaft. Ich hatte Gyros und Kalbsleber. Kalbsleber war dünn und durchgebraten, und sehnig, Leber storniert. Wurde prompt entgegen genommen. Ca.5 min.gewartet,essen kam wieder, Was soll ich sagen,neues Stück Leber, Wurde mit Steakmesser gebracht. Pommes waren matschig, Gyros ausgetrocknet Leber war neu,der Rest wohl nicht. Schade Kunde verloren.

Greek with typical, well-kept rooms. Friendly, attentive staff. Food tasty. Salad a bit unimaginative. Portion size can only be achieved by really good eaters. Anything beyond that will be nicely packed up for home. Price-performance ratio OK. Clean toilets in the basement (certainly problematic for those with walking difficulties). Bowling alleys available. Will definitely come back.

Very good Greek, hospitable staff, tasty and always busy. We have been there for the third time and have not been disappointed so far, neither in terms of taste nor in terms of service. A reservation, even during the week, can be worthwhile as there is always a lot going on. All in all, highly recommended!

Very hospitable and delicious food

The food was very tasty, the meat was very tender. The senior plate is very plentiful. I will cancel the starter salad next time because there is only iceberg lettuce, 3 strips of carrot, 1 slice of cucumber and tomato on the plate. You can do this as a mixed salad Can't describe it. Service was very friendly. Unfortunately it was very loud and we were unlucky that the TV was on because of football. I didn't think it was that great.

Been there for bowling. Food isn't great. A lot of finished products that are just warmed up, fried or something like that. No trace of homemade.

Unfortunately the rice was cold and the lamb was overcooked. For everyone else, the meat was good, but a little too cold. It's a shame, because the service is attentive and very friendly. The ambience simple but good.

Like everywhere else, it has become more expensive but the lunch menu is definitely recommended. Price performance is very good and plentiful and tasty. Another request had to be made to pay because the service person preferred to go smoke 🙈 otherwise recommended. I'd love to come back

For us the best Greek with tender fillet, delicious casseroles, pickled grape leaves and pita. We have been eating here sporadically for about 5 years. The portions are always plentiful and the service is always friendly. If there are any discrepancies, the customer is always accommodated. If additions are made to the choice of court, these are constantly implemented. We will continue to eat here in the future. Update: It's still beautiful here. My wife and I celebrated our civil wedding with the family here. The boss Jorgo was very flexible, accommodating and even prepared the wedding decorations for us. He also bought additional drinks and provided us with plenty of ouzos. We were even able to bring our wedding cake. Everything worked out according to our wishes! Thank you again for everything :) We are always happy to come back

Location: not suitable for families with small children - no coloring books, no play area, no other children. The audience consists mainly of pensioners. Service: long waiting time, we waited about 10 minutes to pay. Only one waiter was friendly. Food: Unfortunately the pastitsio wasn't as tasty as expected. The pork bifteki were not fully cooked. The tzatziki was good.

We ate here for Christmas. A white chipped side table was placed at the table for us. The service was overwhelmed at times and the older gentleman who served gave me 2x fries that I didn't order, even though I said I had other potatoes... The main course came without asking, we still ate ours Salads. Understand a lot going on at Christmas. But service then just left us sitting downstairs because we had no more water and no one asked. We won't visit this restaurant again. The food was normal, nothing special.

The food is always delicious, this was our first time having lunch. We recommend. You feel very comfortable there and you don't have to worry about having to clear the table after an hour.

A restaurant at its finest! A wonderful atmosphere. The service is amazing, I've rarely seen anything like it in restaurants. Very accommodating and super friendly. Every wish was always fulfilled with a smile. You can tell that they work there with heart. Let's get to the food, I'm a bit at a loss for words. Such a tasty meal!! Tried many dishes over several days and what many can't do is of course the classic gyros, in this shop it's just perfect. Whether it's lamb, bifteki or fish, every dish is simply perfect. I can only recommend it with 10/5 stars. I'd love to come back because I've found my favorite Greek restaurant. Make your own judgment and test this restaurant. You will not regret it.

First impression: bright and friendly! That doesn't change anymore! Everyone should be able to find something in the extensive menu. The food is fresh and actually sufficiently portioned. The fries are better than in some steakhouses (note: the roasted potatoes are not what we would serve with kale!). I always feel welcome in the family-run restaurant. The staff is friendly and also fulfills any special requests. It is advisable to make a reservation for weekends (Fri-Sun). There are two bowling alleys in the basement (you don't hear anything about them in the restaurant). We always like to come back - recently also with a dog (no problem).

Nach längerer Zeit mal wieder zum Mittagtisch hier. Es gibt typische Gerichte von der Karte die mittags preisgünstig angeboten werden. Der Service war flott. Wir bekamen gleich einen Ouzo vorneweg. Das Gyros mit Zaziki war sehr gut und die Portion ausreichend. Als Beilage kann man Pommes, Röstkartoffeln oder Reis wählen. vorweg kann man zwischen Suppe oder einen Salat als Vorspeise wählen dazu wird Brot gereicht. Uns hat es leckergeschmeckt. Immer wieder gerne. Am 5.1.2024 hier und haben den Mittagtisch genossen vorab einen leckeren Salat und Hauptspeise Gyros mit Reis / Pommes einfach lecker 😋
