Alexander der Große in Fürth

Update 06.11.2025: Zu unserem 35 Hochzeitstag hatten wir für heute ein Überraschungsmenü bestellt. Wir bekamen 6 Gänge authentischster griechische Küche von Mama zubereitet und Nektarios serviert. Nein, kein Gyros, keine Calamari..... Ein echter Traum und meine Frau hört nicht auf zu schwärmen :-). Es war für uns dem Anlass entsprechend etwas ganz Besonderes, was wir in der Qualität, in der Authentizität und mit so viel Liebe kreiert und zubereitet, nirgend anders bekommen hätten!!!! Vielen lieben Dank!! Michi und Uli ======================================= Ich wüsste kein griechisches Restaurant, was mehr Empfehlungen verdient hätte als Alexander der Große. Ein schöner überdachter Biergarten, ein schönes Restaurant, sehr freundliche Bedienungen und extrem gutes und frisch gekochtes Essen. Ein Grieche der nicht auf besonders große Portionen macht, sondern Wert auf Qualität und Frische legt, sowie den Gargrad von Fleisch kennt und nicht einfach tot brät. Außerdem ist hier der Gast König und Sonderwünsche wurden mir bis jetzt noch nie abgeschlagen. Probiert unbedingt mal das weiße Taramas, die gegrillten Peperoni mit Knoblauch oder auch den außen knusprigen und innen weiche Saganaki. Aber auch das Gyros, die gefüllten Bifteki, Rinderleber, Lammfilet oder die Calamari, auch die Metaxasauce und der Zaziki nicht zu vergessen und das Dressing vom Salat... ich weiß nicht wo ich anfangen oder aufhören soll. Einfach lecker und unbedingt auszuprobieren👍👍👍👍

Sehr gutes Essen mit wirklich guter Qualität. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, die Sauberkeit top & der Eigentümer immer höflich und zuvorkommend. Wir persönlich legen viel Wert auf Qualität & Frische - deswegen unser Lieblingsgrieche!

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienungen sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Sehr leckeres Essen und freundlicher Service

Ich komme immer wieder so gern hierher nicht nur wegen des leckeren Essens, sondern vor allem wegen der Menschen dahinter. Personal und Besitzer einfach unglaublich herzlich und geben einem jedes Mal das Gefühl, wirklich willkommen zu sein. Man merkt sofort, wie viel Liebe und Leidenschaft sie in ihr Restaurant stecken. Das Essen ist jedes Mal frisch, mit viel Sorgfalt zubereitet und einfach richtig gut. Aber was diesen Ort für mich besonders macht, ist die Atmosphäre, man fühlt sich nicht wie ein Gast, sondern eher wie ein Freund, der vorbeikommt. Ich kann dieses Restaurant von Herzen empfehlen.

Wie schön, dass man mittlerweile die Anzahl der gelöschten Rezensionen sehen kann. Das erklärt auch, warum ich lieber zu dem mit 4,4 Sternen gehe, als zu dem mit 4,8 und 51 bis 100 gelöschten;-) Aber selbstverständlich war ich auch hier schon mehrmals, weswegen ich mir meine eigene Meinung bilden konnte.

Interessant, dass Sie meinen Kommentar gelöscht haben. Ich weiß nicht, wer Ihnen die vier Sterne gegeben hat, aber das war wie in einem Dönerladen – total überteuert und das Essen völlig geschmacklos. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Sie haben die gleichen Preise wie Delphi, aber Delphi bietet Qualität und sogar großzügige Portionen.

Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend. Als Vorspeise hatte ich gebackene Auberginen und Zucchini, danach einen gemischten Teller mit Gyros, gebackenen Calamari, Souvlaki-Spieß und Pommes. Alles war perfekt auf den Punkt zubereitet: schön kross, saftig und geschmacklich richtig gut. Auch preislich war alles völlig in Ordnung. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Personal: Die beiden Bedienungen waren sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und wirklich auf Zack. Man hat sich direkt wohl und gut betreut gefühlt. Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt war die recht laute Akustik. Ansonsten war aber alles super gepflegt, toll eingerichtet und insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert.

A highly recommended Greek restaurant, not far from the motorway, with a very nice interior and excellent quality food. We'll gladly come back.

Friendly service, very cozy atmosphere and great food 👍

The atmosphere in the restaurant was truly pleasant and inviting. However, the food didn't quite live up to expectations. The seafood platter was rather small considering the high price, and the accompanying rice had an unusual flavor that didn't quite complement the other dishes. The appetizers and salad were also far too salty, and the squid was so heavily seasoned that it was barely palatable. The pork I tried was also less tender than one would expect. The service could have been more attentive. No one checked if everything was alright, and the salad that arrived didn't quite match the order. In many Greek restaurants, you're traditionally offered an ouzo at the end of your meal—unfortunately, this wasn't the case here, which somewhat detracted from the overall impression. Overall, the restaurant has potential, especially thanks to its lovely atmosphere. With some fine-tuning in the kitchen and service, the overall experience could be significantly improved.

Delicious food, good service – with minor drawbacks outside The food is delicious, and the service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is currently being renovated, or rather, has already been renovated, giving it a very modern and stylish feel – it has an upscale and inviting feel. The portions could be a bit larger, but overall, you'll be well-filled. The only downside: When you sit outside, you're unfortunately bothered by wasps and flies, which makes dining outside a bit unpleasant. Still, it's still recommended!

Everything was delicious, as always. Great and attentive service, and the seating was simply lovely.

The food was very good; the portions were a bit small for some of the men in our family, which is our only criticism. Compared to other restaurants of similar quality, the price of the dishes is quite high for the portion size. However, the quality, service, and ambiance are still highly recommended.

A nice, more modern Greek with lots of starters. Unfortunately there are no large calamaries, only baby calamari on the menu. And there was a very good Uzo.

It was our first time there and we had high hopes. The prices are very high and charging almost 10 euros for zucchini slices as a starter is extortionate. The food came and it was a joke. If you counted the fries, you would get angry. A plate for 18 euros and not even a hand of fries is a disgrace. There was no color and it wasn't fried properly. A 0.75 liter water bottle 7 euros. Just shake your head. Unfortunately, going in there again is not an option.

Very nice and modern Greek. The staff was very friendly and fulfilled all wishes. The food was very good. From starters to dessert, everything was great. Modern and tasteful furnishings, including in the winter garden.

We were in the restaurant with 18 people for the Christmas party. The service is very good and all the waiters are very attentive. On a positive note, I have to mention that despite the many guests that evening, there was no table left, and we all got our food at the same time. The food is worth every euro, beautifully prepared and very tasty. At the end I had a delicious dessert. I can only recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, you feel totally comfortable. The food is very tasty and there is something for everyone. The employees are super friendly and you never wait long for your food. All in all, we can only recommend it. We love coming every time.

We (10 people) visited this restaurant today on the recommendation of a friend. Very nice atmosphere, warm and inviting. The food was super tasty and beautifully prepared. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Everyone was very happy with the food, there wasn't a plate left that wasn't empty. We will come again!! A promise not a threat. We have a holiday home on Crete and it is always difficult to find a Greek person in Germany who meets our needs. The team from the "Alexander the Great" restaurant succeeded in this. The menu is adapted to German tastes (meat platters), but the starters and fish dishes are also recommended.

There were four of us eating, everyone had a great meal, service was quick and courteous. We'd love to come back.

Were here as a couple. Twice Saganaki. Giros Kalamari and Giros Metaxa. Drink. 73 euros. Food was good. But in our opinion not better than other good restaurants. Price excessive in our opinion

The best calamari I've ever eaten!!

Today we ordered for the first time via Lieferando: 1 X Greek Salad 2 X Tiropitakia 1 X red Florinis Charging 9.90 euros for 4 mini Tiropitakia that aren't even crispy is borderline. The Greek salad was mostly tomatoes and onions, there were only four small pieces of feta cheese and the dressing tasted like nothing. The Florinis didn't taste like anything either. It has to be said that there were 5 slices of bread. In total we paid 50.09 euros. We simply find the price very expensive for the quality and quantity and will certainly not order here again. Once and never again...so to speak.

Used to be our favorite Greek restaurant. The ambience and service are still top. However, the food has lost a lot of quality and the prices have gone up quite high. I don't know if there is a new chef, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio is no longer right compared to other Greek restaurants.

Online order. Delivery time 1 hour on weekdays. The rider had to stop before us, which meant the food was just lukewarm, which was annoying because the quality was quite good. Almost cold is just not my thing. Very small portion of fries. Salad fresh, but warm, as it is not separated from the previously warm gyros. Driver very friendly. I personally find high delivery costs plus a service fee that doesn't appear anywhere before to be unfair. A lot of packaging material, not really up to date. As of: beginning of July 2024

The restaurant combines tradition with modernity, both in the furnishings and in the food. You can sit comfortably inside and out. The selection of food and drinks, including good Greek wines, is small but fine. The portions are modernly interpreted and sufficient. The service was nice, but still needs improvement. Everything is clean and tidy. Please reservate. Food is also available to pick up. The price-performance ratio is high, but of high quality. Keep it up. It was a nice evening.

It was a magical evening here. The interior was stylish and inviting. What was particularly impressive was the well thought-out selection of plates that perfectly matched the dishes and presented them attractively. The wonderful terrace also offered a wonderful atmosphere to relax and enjoy. This Greek restaurant impressed with high-quality products and a carefully curated selection of dishes (It's truly one of the best Greek experiences you can have in the area). The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The cocktails and drinks were particularly delicious and were a great way to round off the evening. Overall, an all-round successful experience that I can only recommend.

Here you can tell that everything is freshly prepared. Service was very friendly and nice. No waiting times for drinks. Replenishment immediately. Food very very tasty. Give an extra star for the kitchen.

Sorry but price performance is not that good. Gyros gratinated were too salty, baguette was hard, my friend's gyros was only lukewarm. I complained about mine and unfortunately there was no response. Is too much Chi Chi and Blink Blink. We won't go in again.

One of the best Greeks in the Fürth district. Location, service and of course especially the food are absolutely recommended. Reservation is required in most cases (which can be done very conveniently online).

Food wasn't that great compared to other Greek restaurants. The farmer's salad looks rather bland and tastes more like dressing from the day before. Eating more like the Greeks did 20 years ago. There are now top Greek restaurants here that serve far better food. Only the ambience is nice. The waiter was rather unfriendly and didn't change his face. A smile would look better on the staff! Conclusion: won't come back. And no, I'm not fake! Google didn't delete me, I deleted them myself and re-wrote them! I recently had dinner at your place with my family. It's a shame that negative reviews are always reported straight away instead of learning from them and adopting them for improvements!!

Service friendly. Was already better attended. The ambience inside is nice - but if you want to sit outside everything is covered, "winter garden" made of foil and right on the main street. Food beautifully presented (both decoration and dishes) & tasted ok. Meat tender. Bread as a starter is fine. My friend ordered fries with her main course and they were ok too. I've wondered several times what the purpose of wavy-cut carrot pieces (not slices) and yellow corn kernels are in tomato rice. I've eaten better somewhere else. This time the seasoning of the tomato rice was very reminiscent of canned ravioli, err... But what should be highlighted positively is that dessert is really tasty there and relatively large. Food portion sizes & prices have evolved...indirectly proportional to each other.

Bitterly disappointing. My friends and I wanted to try the Greek one and were extremely disappointed. It was only after ordering drinks that we were casually told that the gyros were out. The only bad thing is that almost all meat dishes consist of gyros. The salad was anything but fresh and was very dry. Quality meat is also not available. The portions are very manageable for the price. The rice was completely seasoned and the minced steak was more than salty. It was so inedible that it made me sick. While we were eating, not even one of 3 employees came. When we complained about the order, we received the bold answer that we knew it was too salty. I found the statement so bold. Followed by “I can’t change anything” My friend tried to get at least drinks out for everyone to compensate for the disaster. No steps are taken on their own. 20 euros per meal which is bad with a portion that is very clear and where the quality is not right, the service is rude, you leave hungry because it was inedible and no effort is even made to put the customer off at least a little can. We'll never go to the store again. The only thing that was good was the ambience, but I can't get enough of it. No lie, for 20 euros I would have gotten better food at McDonald's. At least I know that it's not hot and that you'll only be satisfied for a short time, but it would have been much more enjoyable if you read that!
