The best calamari I've ever eaten!!

Been there several times. The last time I ordered a dessert was an order. This also arrived quickly and tasted wonderful! Thank you!

Today we ordered for the first time via Lieferando: 1 X Greek Salad 2 X Tiropitakia 1 X red Florinis Charging 9.90 euros for 4 mini Tiropitakia that aren't even crispy is borderline. The Greek salad was mostly tomatoes and onions, there were only four small pieces of feta cheese and the dressing tasted like nothing. The Florinis didn't taste like anything either. It has to be said that there were 5 slices of bread. In total we paid 50.09 euros. We simply find the price very expensive for the quality and quantity and will certainly not order here again. Once and never again...so to speak.

Used to be our favorite Greek restaurant. The ambience and service are still top. However, the food has lost a lot of quality and the prices have gone up quite high. I don't know if there is a new chef, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio is no longer right compared to other Greek restaurants.

Online order. Delivery time 1 hour on weekdays. The rider had to stop before us, which meant the food was just lukewarm, which was annoying because the quality was quite good. Almost cold is just not my thing. Very small portion of fries. Salad fresh, but warm, as it is not separated from the previously warm gyros. Driver very friendly. I personally find high delivery costs plus a service fee that doesn't appear anywhere before to be unfair. A lot of packaging material, not really up to date. As of: beginning of July 2024

I don't know of a Greek restaurant that deserves more recommendations than Alexander the Great. A nice covered beer garden, a nice restaurant, very friendly service and extremely good and freshly cooked food. A Greek who doesn't care about particularly large portions, but rather values ​​quality and freshness, as well as knowing the degree of doneness of meat and not just frying it to death. In addition, the guest is king here and I have never been refused special requests. Be sure to try the white taramas, the grilled pepperoni with garlic or the saganaki, which is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. But also the gyros, the stuffed bifteki, beef liver, lamb fillet or the calamari, not forgetting the Metaxa sauce and the tzatziki and the salad dressing... I don't know where to start or stop. Simply delicious and definitely worth trying👍👍👍

The restaurant combines tradition with modernity, both in the furnishings and in the food. You can sit comfortably inside and out. The selection of food and drinks, including good Greek wines, is small but fine. The portions are modernly interpreted and sufficient. The service was nice, but still needs improvement. Everything is clean and tidy. Please reservate. Food is also available to pick up. The price-performance ratio is high, but of high quality. Keep it up. It was a nice evening.

It was a magical evening here. The interior was stylish and inviting. What was particularly impressive was the well thought-out selection of plates that perfectly matched the dishes and presented them attractively. The wonderful terrace also offered a wonderful atmosphere to relax and enjoy. This Greek restaurant impressed with high-quality products and a carefully curated selection of dishes (It's truly one of the best Greek experiences you can have in the area). The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The cocktails and drinks were particularly delicious and were a great way to round off the evening. Overall, an all-round successful experience that I can only recommend.

Sorry but price performance is not that good. Gyros gratinated were too salty, baguette was hard, my friend's gyros was only lukewarm. I complained about mine and unfortunately there was no response. Is too much Chi Chi and Blink Blink. We won't go in again.

One of the best Greeks in the Fürth district. Location, service and of course especially the food are absolutely recommended. Reservation is required in most cases (which can be done very conveniently online).

Food wasn't that great compared to other Greek restaurants. The farmer's salad looks rather bland and tastes more like dressing from the day before. Eating more like the Greeks did 20 years ago. There are now top Greek restaurants here that serve far better food. Only the ambience is nice. The waiter was rather unfriendly and didn't change his face. A smile would look better on the staff! Conclusion: won't come back. And no, I'm not fake! Google didn't delete me, I deleted them myself and re-wrote them! I recently had dinner at your place with my family. It's a shame that negative reviews are always reported straight away instead of learning from them and adopting them for improvements!!

Service friendly. Was already better attended. The ambience inside is nice - but if you want to sit outside everything is covered, "winter garden" made of foil and right on the main street. Food beautifully presented (both decoration and dishes) & tasted ok. Meat tender. Bread as a starter is fine. My friend ordered fries with her main course and they were ok too. I've wondered several times what the purpose of wavy-cut carrot pieces (not slices) and yellow corn kernels are in tomato rice. I've eaten better somewhere else. This time the seasoning of the tomato rice was very reminiscent of canned ravioli, err... But what should be highlighted positively is that dessert is really tasty there and relatively large. Food portion sizes & prices have evolved...indirectly proportional to each other.

Bitterly disappointing. My friends and I wanted to try the Greek one and were extremely disappointed. It was only after ordering drinks that we were casually told that the gyros were out. The only bad thing is that almost all meat dishes consist of gyros. The salad was anything but fresh and was very dry. Quality meat is also not available. The portions are very manageable for the price. The rice was completely seasoned and the minced steak was more than salty. It was so inedible that it made me sick. While we were eating, not even one of 3 employees came. When we complained about the order, we received the bold answer that we knew it was too salty. I found the statement so bold. Followed by “I can’t change anything” My friend tried to get at least drinks out for everyone to compensate for the disaster. No steps are taken on their own. 20 euros per meal which is bad with a portion that is very clear and where the quality is not right, the service is rude, you leave hungry because it was inedible and no effort is even made to put the customer off at least a little can. We'll never go to the store again. The only thing that was good was the ambience, but I can't get enough of it. No lie, for 20 euros I would have gotten better food at McDonald's. At least I know that it's not hot and that you'll only be satisfied for a short time, but it would have been much more enjoyable if you read that!

Essen wie gewohnt super lecker. Trotz 25% mehr Teilnehmer unsrer weihnachtsfeier wurden alle Gäste sehr gut bewirtet. Wir als Verein hatten mit ca. 40 personen gerechnet, am ende waren es über 60. Alles in allem mehr als 5 Sterne wert.

Klasse Restaurant! Tolle Gerichte, mit Liebe gekocht! Hier gibt es nicht nur die Klassiker! Leckere Vorspeisen! Die Hauptgerichte sind sehr schmackhaft und die Nachspeisen ein Traum! Bestes Galaktoboureko!!! Innen weich und fluffig und der Blätterteig schön kross. Preis Leistung top! Immer wieder gerne!!! Tipp: als Gruppe viele Vorspeisen bestellen und teilen!

Das Essen war nicht so wie erwartet im Salat war fast kein Dressing der Reis sehr trocken. Mussten halbe Stunde auf Getränke warten. Wirklich schade.

Wir sind seit vielen Jahren Stammgäste und können das Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen. Das Essen ist super und man fühlt sich immer willkommen.

Geschmäcker sind natürlich unterschiedlich. Ich finde Geschmack und Qualität ausgezeichnet. Preise sind noch okay.

Vor kurzem in die Gegend gezogen und beim ersten Besuch direkt heimisch gefühlt. Der Besitzer war überaus locker und freundlich, das Essen war perfekt, das Ambiente stilvoll. Wir können uns sehr gut vorstellen hier Stammgäste zu werden.

In Staden der beste grieche , es schmeckt immer , die Bedienung ist sehr nett und immer freundlich, das Schoko Souvle ist hervorragend sowohl auch das Essen. Wir gehen sehr gerne hin.

Sehr schönes griechisches Restaurant mit vielen Sitzplätzen drinnen und draußen. Selbst im Winter kann man hervorragend und warm im überdachten beheizten Außenbereich sitzen. Das Essen ist durchwegs von gleichbleibender Qualität. Leider gibt es zu wenig vom sehr guten Zaziki auf den Tellern. Es wäre schön, wenn es wieder mehr gäbe. Das Restaurant ist immer sauber, das Essen kommt selbst bei voller Gaststätte immer rasch. Der Service ist absolut freundlich und zuverlässig. Danke für die schönen Abende. Sehr leckeres Essen und nette Bedienung Bester Grieche in der Umgebung

Wir sind schon seit vielen Jahren Stammgäste beim „Alexander“, von Familienfeiern über „To Go“ während Corona oder wenn es Abends mal schnell gehen muss, bis zum gemütlichen Abendessen und kommen immer wieder gerne her. Das Restaurant ist in Familienbesitz und das merkt man auch. Man fühlt sich immer willkommen und die Gerichte sind sehr lecker und authentisch. Das komplette Personal ist immer freundlich und sehr bemüht, auch wenn es voll und dann viel zu tun ist. Es ist immer alles sehr aufgeräumt und sauber. Wir waren schon oft mit Freunden oder Familie hier und bisher war jede(r) begeistert. Die Preise sind je nach Gericht etwas höher als bei anderen griechischen Restaurants, aber absolut angemessen und entsprechen völlig der gebotenen Qualität. Dafür bekommt man auch keine griechische Standardkost, welche woanders oft nur aus großen Mengen Fleisch besteht. Die gebackene Aubergine als Vorspeise muss es eigentlich fast immer sein, fantastisch zusammen mit einem Pita Brot. Auch die verschiedenen Fleischteller, die Salate, das Hähnchen und der Fisch sind lecker. Absoluter Geheimtipp, wenn man mal keine ganz große Lust auf „griechisch“ hat, ist das Schnitzel! Man mag es kaum glauben, aber das schmeckt hier besser als in so mancher fränkischer Wirtschaft. Hätte ich nie probiert, da ich immer auf dem Standpunkt war „Wenn ich zum Grieche gehe, will ich griechisch essen“, wurde aber mal vom Chef als Alternative empfohlen und hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Also einfach mal ausprobieren und überraschen lassen!

Bestes griechisches Restaurant überhaupt! Würde 10 Sterne geben wenn es gehen würde. Bin jedesmal absolut zufrieden.

Super schön um die Jahreszeit Abends noch draußen sitzen zu können bei lecker Essen und tollem Service. Das beste Schokosoufflè aller Zeiten.

Wir waren mit 6 Personen am Freitag Abend zum ersten mal im Alexander der Große. Wir kommen aus Nürnberg und wollten schon länger auf der Suche nach einem neuen Griechen gehen. Anhand der vielen und positiven Google Bewertungen und der gehobenen Präsenz des Lokals in Internet, reservierten wir einen Tisch. (Online-Reservierung) Schon mal sehr positiv. Zum Thema Besuch: Das Lokal ist im Innenraum sehr stillvoll, warm und modern eingerichtet. Hat nichts mit "typisch griechisch" zu tun. Der Service ist super freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell, trotz vollem Haus. Uns bedienten 3 junge Männer, einer davon, der Inhaber. Ein Highlight ist die Überdachte Terasse. Ein wunderschönes modernes, gepflegtes und sauberes Ambiente. Und zum Schluß zum Thema Essen: Wir wussten nicht das "griechisch" so gut geht! Höchste Qualität, super Lecker und keine Berge voller Fraß wie man es sonst so kennt. So gute Baby Calamaris hatten wir noch nie gegessen, und auch all die Vorspeisen waren exzellent. Ehrliche Küche zu angemessen Preisen. Wir hatten einen traumhaften Abend und werden in Zukunft das Alexander der Große wieder und wieder besuchen. So geht Gastronomie richtig. Weiter so!

Traurig. 2 std bis das Essen Kam. Warte Zeit mit Kindern viel zu lange. Absolutes no Go auf den Abend. Bestell Aufnahme hat auch ewig gedauert.essen war ok.

Heute spontanes Abendessen im "Alexander der Große" in 90765 Fürth, Stadelner Hauptstraße 62. Um 17.25 Uhr fragten wir nach einem Tisch für 2 um ca. 17.45 Uhr. Der Herr am Telefon war sehr freundlich und teilte uns mit, dass dies kein Problem wäre. Zur angegebenen Zeit trafen wir ein. Parkplätze waren genügend vorhanden. Wir wurden am Eingang freundlich empfangen und an den Tisch geführt. Dieser war schon eingedeckt und man überreichte uns gleich die Speisekarten. Kurz danach kam der Kellner und nahm unsere Getränkebestellung auf. Nach kurzer Wartezeit kamen unser Radler naturtrüb und ein Zwickl Kellerbier an den Tisch. Einen Ouzo aufs Haus gab es dazu, dieser hätte etwas kälter sein dürfen. Wir bestellten dann eine gemischte Vorspeisenplatte für 1 Person und unsere Hauptspeisen. Der Vorspeisenteller kam in kürzester Zeit und war mit Zaziki, weißer Taramascreme, Feta, Schafskäsecreme und einem Weinblatt bestückt. Eine Spitzpaprika und ein paar dicke Bohnen waren auch darauf. Dazu wurde Brot gereicht. Alles schmeckte sehr gut und wir freuten uns schon auf unser weiteres Essen. Auch dieses kam nach kurzer Wartezeit. Die Baby-Kalamari waren sehr gut, leicht knusprig, das Gyros und der Tomatenreis waren etwas würzig, aber nicht scharf. Der Beilagensalat bestand aus einer Blattsalatmischung und war in Ordnung. Die gemischte Fleischplatte war mit einem Lammfiletspieß und einem Lamm-Kotelett bestückt, dazu Gyros und ein Steak. Das Lamm war butterzart, das Steak mega saftig und das Gyros wie oben erwähnt etwas würzig. Das Lokal selbst macht einen guten Eindruck und das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich. Auch das Essen am Nebentisch sah sehr gut aus 😀. Sehr gut gesättigt verließen wir gegen 19 Uhr das Lokal.

Wir waren mit Freunden hier zum Essen. Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht. Wir wurden freundlich bedient. Das Essen, Vorspeise und Hauptspeise waren gut. Das Preisniveau ist im normalen Bereich, ebenso wie die Portionsgrössen. Leider gab es bei den Beilagen Verwechslungen, was aber nicht so tragisch war, da die fehlenden Pommes nachgeliefert wurden. Hier kann man guten Gewissens eine Empfehlung aussprechen, wenn man „normal“ griechisches Essen erwartet. Besonderheiten haben wir keine gesehen bzw. es gab hier keine besondere Empfehlung des Hauses.

Wir sind zum ersten Mal hier. Nadem wir telefonisch schon bei 3 anderen Betrieben in Fürth nach einem Tisch gefragt haben. Also die Einrichtung ist sehr ansprechend, das Personal sehr freundlich und das Essen fanden wir auch sehr lecker. Geschmacklich etwas anders als die breite Masse. Ich denke wir werden öfter mal vorbeischauen.
