Griechisches Restaurant Odysseus in Nettetal

We visited Odysseus on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, with a large group. After initially searching for a parking space for quite some time, we received a very warm welcome. Everything went wonderfully. From the reservation to the reception at the restaurant, the ordering process, and the food itself, there is nothing negative to report. The food was wonderful and plentiful. Unfortunately, smoking was permitted in the restaurant, which is absolutely unacceptable these days. For this reason, we will never visit this restaurant again.

There were four of us eating there on a Saturday evening. We had reserved a table, which is definitely recommended. Because it was so crowded, it was quite noisy. The waitstaff were very attentive and friendly. The food was also good and very plentiful. The appetizer platter—spicy cheese, pepperoni, olives (there was one whole olive on it), and onions dressed with olive oil—was nothing to write home about.

We were a group of 12 for dinner. The service was friendly and efficient. Everyone was very satisfied. Upon request, we were also able to get smaller portions – excellent!

I was in the area again for work, and it remains the best Greek restaurant within a 400km radius. Absolutely top-notch! 11 out of 10 points.

I've driven past it many times. And I ate at the Greek restaurant a little further down the road, not realizing it was so good. The atmosphere was great, the service was quick, and I had an ouzo afterward. This is now my favorite restaurant.

The food was good and plentiful. The staff was a bit disorganized, perhaps because it was busy, but one or two people had the wrong side dish, and two orders of tzatziki were initially forgotten. Nevertheless, the staff were very friendly, and drinks never ran out. One thing was really unpleasant: two tables away, an elderly lady sat with her small dog, which she held on her lap and fed from her plate. I don't like to see that in a restaurant. And I have a dog myself. The liver was very good, cooked to perfection, and I've rarely had such good food. All in all, a good restaurant that's worth visiting.

Yeah... It's just one of 5 Greek/Balkan restaurants in our area. If you know one, you know them all... mass processing. More suitable for a quick bite to eat in between.

Good food, of course it remains a Greek where you just want to eat a lot. That's why there are many Dutch people there. You are a lot quieter there than at the other Greek in Kaldenkirchen

Another delicious meal. Generous portions. Lots of choice for children. Friendly and fast. Only parking is a bit of a search, but that won't stop us.

We ate here on our second day of wine tasting. It was a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. We'd love to go back. 5 stars for everything. 👍

We had a wonderful evening with 15 people on a Sunday. Great atmosphere in the winter garden, extremely attentive Service and very good food and all without waiting. The walls were plastered by a blind toddler, the staff contains more ink than an average fountain pen, the collection of dry-run mats is gigantic and the gyros are always delicious. Exactly what you would expect from a Greek restaurant;

Hello. Gotta get rid of something. We as a family of 4 ate there last weekend. First we waited about 30 minutes for our first drink. Then we had to wait almost 1.5 hours for our starter. It's amazing that we weren't approached for a second drink in between. Shortly before 9 p.m., we were there at around 7 p.m., we got our main course. We had to ask for the side salad first, otherwise it would have been forgotten. So far so good, some of it was slightly burnt. (Gyros, Souflaki) But then it's awesome. When we billed we were charged 190 euros. Unfortunately, 1 gram of beer was charged too much and 2 tzatziki were charged too much. So about 20 euros too much. Tzatziki 4 teaspoons 6.40 euros is amazing considering the production costs.. The bill was then changed and we received a discount of 1.40 euros.. Funny.. and a bit rude. The aperitif was completely foregone or some other compensation... Conclusion: 170 euros for average Greek food, long waiting times and hectic. No thanks.. Never again!!!!!!!!

Nice restaurant, poor service when it is busy, very busy inside, so we went outside...asking nicely was no problem. After half an hour we asked if we could order...the food order had arrived. Was delicious. When I immediately asked for the bill, another half hour later, still no bill.. I walked to the cash register and paid the bill with great reluctance.. nothing, sorry and would you like a farewell drink, no, none of this.. such a shame, I understand that they are busy so you have to wait a while, but no, that shouldn't happen... we have completely forgotten... I won't be there anymore.

Paying extra for tzatziki at a Greek restaurant is quite remarkable. €6.50 for a dollop of tzatziki on a saucer. Unfortunately, the ambience is totally overloaded with a lot of kitsch. The service, however, is extremely personable, careful and friendly.

Come here often and always receive a very warm welcome and we never find anything to criticize about the food.

Out of the owner's self-interest you cannot use your debit card or credit card, little parking space and the noise inside is not my favorite restaurant.

The most important thing in advance is that you should definitely reserve a table! Ambience and service was top. The food was good, but... We were reserved a grill plate without tzatziki. Well, you can order it separately. A bowl of tzatziki cost 6.50 euros. That's not exactly cheap. Unfortunately you cannot pay by card in the restaurant. If you don't have enough cash with you, you're out of luck. For a restaurant this is an absolute “no go”! Otherwise - delicious 😋

We are very disappointed with this restaurant... We've been here a lot so far and everything has always been good, except for last night. I had reserved a table for seven people in advance and there was one vegan among them. I called twice and was confirmed that something could be put together. Then yesterday he got 5 starter plates that really didn't have much on them and we paid over 50 euros for one person alone (instead of putting together ONE plate of vegetables) That was a huge impudence and a rip-off...especially since I asked twice before when making the reservation... Another only got his food when the others had almost finished. He was simply forgotten... We were able to pay a total of 230 euros and didn't even receive any compensation... We will definitely never go to this restaurant again... Not recommended at all......

Last week we happened to pass by this restaurant, spontaneously went inside, instead of a "Welcome sign" only a large sign "You cannot pay by card here" and immediately turned around. Germany remains a kind of Third World country!

Unfortunately, I have to indicate that the quality of the preparation of the ordered meal was not of a Greek quality and/or level. The food was not warm, undercooked and the presentation on the plate was austere. I also missed Greek in its entirety. This has been different in the past in this restaurant. It's a shame that after my idea, feeling and experience, something has been lost.

Went there for the first time today. I have to say I haven't been to such a good Greek restaurant for a long time. It's a shame that you can only give 5 stars. The food was fantastic, starting with the starter, which for me consisted of snails. My main course was the Athens plate, the meat was simply a dream, so juicy and tender, just great. For dessert I had the pancake filled with vanilla ice cream - a dream dessert (picture is attached). The staff was extremely friendly and had a smile on their faces, very attentive. The atmosphere has a real Greek flair, I really liked it and I'll come back at any time. You have definitely gained a regular customer.

Ein gemütlicher Grieche, sehr einladend. Sehr freundliches Personal und das Essen ist super lecker. Preise sind absolut im normalen Bereich. Hinzukommt das es einen großen Wintergarten gibt, in dem man als Raucher sitzen kann um nach dem Essen den Abend gemütlich ausklingen zu lassen. Von mir eine absolute Empfehlung

Exelent zubereitete Gerichte nach griechischer Art. Sehr groß und daher auch sehr voll und laut. Aber das Essen übertrifft viele andere und daher nimmt man die Lautstärke gerne in kauf.

Sehr schönes Ambiente und äußerst freundliches Personal. Das Essen war sehr gut und reichhaltig. Immer zu empfehlen.

Heute am Sonntag den 09. 10 .23 wollten wir da essen. Habe mich im Internet informiert ob sie geöffnet haben .Gut das es heutzutage Internet gibt.ha,ha..um 17.00uhr standen wir vor verschlossenener Tür.!in dieser Türe stand eine Tafel vorauf stand das sie Urlaub machten. Da standen wir mit 5 Pers. Und waren stienke.sauer.vielen Dank auch Odysseus.!

Eten was goed En een verbeter punt is de bediening daar moeten echt meer mensen bij en vooral als het druk is.

Jammer, heel erg jammer!!! Wij zijn er vaker geweest maar nog nooit zo over het hoofd gezien. Het eten was te weinig maar gelukkig goed. Geen welkoms ouzo ook niet de keuze of ouzo als aperitief of later een afzakkertje. Op de vraag waarom: Wij moesten te veel weggooien en als het druk is hebben wij er geen tijd voor. Niet echt klantvriendelijk. Dan vraag de gasten wat en of zij graag een ouzo hadden of liever een afzakkertje maar niets aan informatie als wij er zelf niet om gevraagd hadden of de welkoms ouzo niet meer bestaat hadden wij niets geweten. Jij kunt er ook niet pinnen alles cash en wij moesten heel lang op de rekening wachten. Vreemde bedrijfsvoering! Wij waren er de laatste keer. Géén aanrader meer!!!!

Het eten was echt lekker. Alleen geen tzaziki bij de gerechten. €5,80 voor een dan ook nog kleine portie is ook best prijzig. Het was eigenlijk niet genoeg voor het gerecht.

So gut habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gesehen in einem Griechischen Restaurant. Einfach Klasse sehr empfehlenswert ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Klein stukje zalm met eetlepel spinazi met wat saus 5 aardapelkroketjes en wat sla is wat magertjes, maar de smaak was goed ,ook belangrijk en supervriendelijk personeel. TIP: maak de portie iets groter dan mag de prijs ook wat meer zijn
