Greece Palace in Nettetal

I was at Greece Palace again today, and like every time, it was simply fantastic. You can tell the passion they put into the cooking here—from the first bite of the appetizer to the last spoonful of dessert, everything was incredibly delicious. I've been here several times, and I'm impressed every time. Great food, super friendly service, and an all-around pleasant atmosphere. For me, it's easily one of the best restaurants far and wide!

Unfortunately, the standard salad and ouzo are a thing of the past. There's also no small salad on the menu. I think the salt shaker in the goulash soup had collapsed. Brrr, inedible. Gyros, on the other hand, was fine. My partner had a dish with steamed vegetables. 2 florets of broccoli, 1 floret of cauliflower, and 2 slices of carrot!!! Disappointing. I'll make a different choice for dining out in Kaldenkirchen from now on. Too bad.

This is downright rude service! First, we waited half an hour for our drinks after I asked the waiter if anyone else would come to our table to take our order. I immediately ordered food, nothing special, just straight from the menu. Other guests arrived around us and were served immediately, and their food and drinks also arrived quickly. We had apparently become invisible to the waiters: they simply passed us by! After waiting an hour (!!!), I was fed up. I went to the bar and asked where our order was. They couldn't tell me anything. After a while, someone came. I asked if my skin color had anything to do with this incredibly poor service. Then, an apparent chef immediately came over and denied it. When I asked why no one had come to our table for an entire hour to inquire, I received no answer. The man in question walked away and returned after five minutes with the message: "The chef accidentally dropped the order slip on the floor, and that's why our order was forgotten." They must think I'm a backward person of color! The order would be fulfilled now. I replied that I'd give them 5 minutes, then I'd leave. After 5 minutes, still no food, I got up and left. Shortly after, the food was served: too late! I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE! I also advise other dark-skinned guests not to come here. Apparently, these Greeks are still living in the mindset of slavery.

We ate here with friends; it was our first time, and they had been there before. It was just under €45 per person for a starter, main course, and dessert. It was certainly busy enough, so we didn't have to wait long for our food. Plenty of choices, and the food was delicious. We had traditional Greek-style feta saganaki with honey and sesame seeds, a baguette with herb butter, a delicious salmon fillet, and a Spezial Teller (grilled dish). And for dessert, we had tiramisu with fresh strawberries and ice cream.

Pay for mayonaise!? What is this? A fast food restaurant? What a bunch of clowns. And they’re not even funny. Grease Palace… Adjectives are hard. The food was fine. Nothing special. Too expensive for what you get. No need to go here.

No more salads recently, and the portions are smaller. No pre- and post-workout drinks for a while now. What's going on here?

That day was warm, but there was no cooling

The food is excellent. However, they're increasingly cutting back on extras. Initially, tzatziki was no longer included with the multi-person platters. A year later, the ouzo aperitif disappeared. Now, the accompanying salad is gone. You can order it for €3.50 per person, but it's much simpler. €4.10 for a dollop of garlic sauce has also become a lot. Reason to consider other options in Nettental.

The food was good, but it was just fries and meat, no salad or tomato or anything as a garnish...a shame, definitely a missed opportunity...

Great food. Few vegetables on the side. Did we want tzatziki? Yes, please! But it was almost €7 extra. Quick service and ultimately good value for money.

Two of us spontaneously visited with our dog. There's plenty of parking. The service was very nice and friendly from start to finish, and also prompt. (Our four-legged friend was also provided with water.) The food was excellent, very tasty, generous in quantity, and reasonably priced. A small deduction is the location of the outdoor terrace by the street; perhaps they could add some soundproofing there. But all in all, we were thrilled. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

The appetizer platter was truly delicious. The main courses were outstanding, and the desserts were fantastic. The service was super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was fantastic. We'd love to come back.

We have a new "favorite Greek restaurant" since yesterday. We haven't had such good food in a long time, nor have we enjoyed such excellent service and friendliness...and all in a very pleasant atmosphere! Many thanks to the entire Greek Palace team...and we will be regulars from now on – see you soon!

Three of us ate there. The street noise is not pleasant at all when you're sitting outside. The meat was excellent, but you don't even get tzatziki with it; you have to order it separately for €6.90! The fried potatoes I ordered with it were absolutely inedible, soggy and drenched in oil... The service was friendly and our table arrived quickly, but we won't be coming back...

After having eaten here a few times it was now the last time. The waiter knocked over a glass himself but it was still mentioned on the bill but unfortunately... no more extra salad... no more ouzo... the meat was good.. but many dishes without taziki can be ordered separately...

Too bad you don't get a salad (with a delicious dressing) anymore, I understand against wasting food. But then ask the guests who do want it and only serve them the salad. If you order a salad now, you pay extra for it and then also with a different dressing. So you used to always get a "house drink" which they have also left out.. Very unfortunate! We always liked to eat here..

No salad with the meal for 3 weeks according to the staff because it was not eaten. We always found the salad very tasty. The salad can now be ordered extra for a fee. Strange?????

Great food, fast service, nicely dressed

After the delicious aperitif, salad is no longer served with the dishes. I think this is going quite far. This is a reason for me to go here less often.

Such a great restaurant. I highly recommend it. The food and drinks were all reasonably priced. Parking is available right on site.

We had mixed grill and bifteki, and both dishes are served with good portion, but no side dish, salad. The taste was good because they made it fresh, not overcooked meat, it was juicy so that is a plus point. I just hoped that they serve the main dish with salad and classic tzatziki sauce.

We had a great meal, meat was tasty and the portions are more than enough. The staff is very friendly and helpful plus we didn't have to wait long for our food.

We came all the way from Aachen to enjoy this special restaurant! We've never found such good Greek cuisine in our region. The staff is always super friendly, and you only have to wait a long time for drinks. The ambiance is amazing...not to be compared to the countless run-of-the-mill Greeks with Acropolis and Hellas flags 😅 So stylish from the restaurant to the gardens, even the restrooms...such an ambiance is extremely rare! An absolute highlight! My favorite appetizer is the feta saganaki 🥰

The lamb platter was superb,hands down the best lamb we’ve ever had - tender and perfectly seasoned. Loved the salad and jacket potato with tzatziki as well. The patio is very pretty and green, and our waiter was sweet and attentive. We’ll definitely come back.

The food is good and juicy meat, not dry grilled rubber. Service good and friendly. You can sit outside. Beautiful building and beautiful garden. Own parking space. Smoking is allowed outside on the terrace. Well cared for.

Restaurant has a very good atmosphere and is very nicely decorated. Even the toilet looked very attractive! Enough parking in front of the door. Ordered a whole sea bream and mixed grill dish. Both dishes tasted good, but unfortunately no tzaziki included with the mixed grill. Just ordered this separately.

Location is good, plenty of parking spaces in front of the door. Food is good, service poor. It takes quite a while before you are helped. The mixed grill does not contain tzatiki, you must order it separately.

First class service, The food was a dream, everything was on point...the rice tasted wonderful, the meat was juicy, all in all we ate very well and had a wonderful evening in a restaurant that can only be recommended with a 5*+ rating. We'll definitely be back

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The meat was cooked to perfection — from pork to beef, chicken, and even the fish, everything was flavorful and tender. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. I felt truly welcomed and comfortable. We stopped there on the way to vacation. It was worth it! The first impression when entering the restaurant was great. Great atmosphere, very friendly welcome. The food was very tasty, the meat was tender and cooked to perfection. The staff was attentive and polite without being intrusive. We would like to plan this “stopover” again on our next vacation.

Delicious food, not huge portions. So starter and main course are no problem. Personally, we were a little disappointed that there was no ouzo after the meal, but that doesn't really matter. That's not why you go out to eat!

Great food for a good price, nice service

On Saturday evening we had dinner at Greece Palace with a reservation; When you enter, you wait in line like other new guests, while people are eating on the right side. Seems a bit strange, but will certainly have something to do with capacity. The restaurant is large and modern and you do miss the classic Greek atmosphere a bit. This is both visually and musically. Apart from the noise of the guests, you will not hear the traditional and pleasant Greek music. At the table you are quickly presented with a laminated menu, which is understandably written in German. The choice is wide and all well-known Greek dishes can be ordered. The ordered food was served quickly by the hardworking staff. You do notice, because it is so busy, that the personal touch in terms of customer contact is not possible through the service. The quality of the food is good, but you do miss the Greek vibe, as you experience at other local Greek restaurants. It seems a bit as if the kitchen also happens to be able to make Greek dishes. It doesn't feel special, but I suspect that most (Dutch) guests certainly come for the price/quality. All in all, certainly more than a fine restaurant, but if you are going for the real Greek atmosphere then this is not quite the right fit.

Eating here for the first time, extremely delicious... very friendly staff and for the price, you don't have to cook yourself... see you next time

All I can say is that it is the best Greek restaurant in the Viersen district! No matter the meat, nothing is dry. Everything to the point. Yes, the price is a touch more than the competition but the taste is unbeatable. The only thing I always miss is the ouzo when I say goodbye. Always happy to come back! Kind regards

Receiving atmosphere was not really a warm welcoming...food was ok..but really: 4 small slices of bread and garlic butter €5!!!! Asking us if we want sauce.. mayonnaise, ketchup, tzaziki....and when you take the tzaziki (a very small portion) having to pay €8 euro ....that's theft! No more Greece palace for us....there are plenty of greek restaurants in the area which show you much better hospitality!

There are many Greek restaurants in the Nettetal area, but the Greece Palace is, for us, the undisputed leader. The combination of excellent food and unfailingly friendly service makes all the difference. We've been there many times and always leave in a good mood. Our new discovery as a starter was the octopus salad – it was so good that this review was a must. And even six months later, our impression was more than repeated. This time, we went all out... a lamb platter! It was €33 and was not only fresh, but also spot on. Thanks to the whole team, and don't let the good and friendly atmosphere be spoiled by "influencers" here who have heard as little about gastronomy and pleasantries as they have about respect and decency 😎

So on Friday I realized for the third time in a row that the quality of the food was at best a 3 or more likely a 4. As always, I ordered a grill plate. This arrived lukewarm on the third and very last visit. You really had to wait so you didn't have to eat completely cold fries. Then, completely uncharacteristically for a Greek, there was no tzatziki on the plate and no coleslaw available either. The tzatziki that was served later tasted like the meat, with a hint of garlic and nothing else. The lamb cutlet and the gyro slices were gristly and everything was just lukewarm. My neighbor at the table had ordered the same plate and confirmed my impression 1:1. All in all, every chip shop can do this better. And at a fraction of the price. Then for dessert: Tiramisu. Simply place a lump of cream mixed with cocoa powder on a soft, thin dough base. The staff was so clumsy and trampy. Several times I burst into the middle of a conversation between the person sitting next to me and me and gave plates to pass on. Peace or even coziness could not be conveyed. Only the ambience scored a bit. But it was extremely loud so that you couldn't understand conversations from people sitting 2-3 chairs away. I have no idea why the store was so full.

Very bad service. After ordering a beer 3 times, I still had nothing. The main meal was decent. The dessert was worthless. Cold when they should be warm. The coffee tastes old. There was 1 female servant who really did her best, the rest were uninterested in their guests. Once but never again

Greece Palace is a very good restaurant. Very busy on weekends, but there is plenty of space for everyone, small or larger groups, but also if there are two of you. The staff is extremely friendly. The decoration is modern.

RIP-OFF We just ordered gyros to pick up with 4 adults and two children. A dry handful of gyros each for €16.90 per portion. WITHOUT ADDITIVES! That surpasses any audacity. Nothing will be picked up there anymore.

Good address, but you don't get welcome ouzo anymore. Sorry restaurant owner, some pathetic cuts. We had dinner there last time with a large group and we were not really happy with it. It's the experience. We will go to a different restaurant next time. There are 3 other good Greek restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Palace really says it all here. Very large restaurant but the acoustics are great. We had a great time even though it was very crowded. The service was friendly and accommodating. The food was also delicious. Completely successful.

Only one of the waiters is really considerate and nice. Despite speaking to you, everyone else walks past you, says they'll be there soon and then you have to wait another 15 minutes. The food is delicious. The starter for 25€ is not worth the money. We didn't even get bread but 4 different dips. We won't come here again!

it was quite busy when we arrived, and we had not made a reservation. we were asked to take a seat at a table near the entrance for as long as possible. However, after that other couples arrived who also had not made a reservation, but were apparently regular customers, and they were given a table right away. We said something about it, and then got a table fairly quickly. luckily everything was perfect after that. very tasty food, and reasonably polite service.

A long time ago we went to the Greece Palace for dinner. We were greeted very friendly and shown to our table. Our order was taken very quickly and the drinks were brought. After a short wait, our food arrived. As always, this was very tasty. The meat was cooked perfectly. Just perfect. The staff was always very friendly. We will definitely come back to eat more often.
