I've been a customer since it opened five years ago and Two Eggs Jian Bing is probably my favorite place in Essen for a snack. Jian Bing is an omelette filled with salad, crispy bread and various toppings of your choice. In the end the whole thing resembles a savory filled crepe. I like Jian Bing very much and I think it is a refreshing new addition to the culinary landscape in Germany. The crispy bread and the hot sauce are particularly delicious. The restaurant is run by the owners themselves. Both are very friendly and warm people. The shop is very small. The kitchen already takes up half of the room. There is only a table with four chairs for seating. You sit directly at the checkout area. It is therefore more worthwhile to take your Jian Bing with you to Hirschlandplatz on dry days and enjoy it on one of the benches there. The decoration is also very cute and has a kawaii feel. I highly recommend Two Eggs Jian Bing to everyone.

Small, fine restaurant. Looks rather inconspicuous from the outside. Went here for something to eat while working and had a nice private environment. Really comfortable. The food is very tasty and fresh! (I had potato soup, schnitzel with fried potatoes and ice cream with popcorn). Not too much choice, so that really fresh food is on the table. Separate weekly/seasonal offers are available. The prices are perfectly fine. From around €5 upwards. The service was friendly and not too intrusive. In total we were there for almost 6 hours 😃

Very tasty food and friendly owner!

It was our first but not the last time in the historic inn. I can only underline the many positive reviews. Great atmosphere, great owner, perfect food. For 6 of us adults there was something for everyone. No fixed menu, neither for drinks nor for food, which didn't bother us. The owner entertained us well and his selection of rum, whiskey and liqueurs is impressive and tasty. Price/performance is absolutely right here! We'll definitely be back! Thank you 🙏🏻

Before an event in the Grugahalle, we spontaneously looked for a place where the four of us could get a table without a reservation and we were warmly welcomed here! Very good cuisine, nice service and nice atmosphere! A real discovery!

We recently spent a wonderful evening at this restaurant and I can say with complete confidence that it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From start to finish everything was perfect. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The atmosphere was very inviting and cozy, which made our evening even more special. I would particularly like to highlight the excellent service – the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed every minute of our visit and would highly recommend this restaurant. Five stars are more than deserved!
