House of Çigköfte in Essen

Ich war dieses Wochenende mit meiner Partnerin dort frühstücken. Wir wurden direkt am Eingang freundlich begrüßt und eine junge und aufgeweckte Mitarbeiterin erklärte uns direkt, welche Möglichkeiten für ein Frühstück es gebe. Also entschieden wir uns, dort zu essen, da dieses Geschäft erst kürzlich eröffnet wurde. Besagte Mitarbeiterin wirkte noch ein wenig frisch und holprig im Gastrowesen, fiel aber keineswegs negativ auf, im Gegenteil, es sorgte für einen seichten Kommentar unter sich und wurde danach als gegeben abgetan (jeder muss lernen, auch in diesem Bereich). Im Laufe unseres Besuchs kam eine zweite Mitarbeiterin und vertiefte uns in ein sehr freundliches Gespräch, sie erzählte uns etwas über das Essen, die Herkunft und über das Familiengeschehen, da es sich bei diesem Lokal um eine Zweigstelle handelte, die in der Familie geführt wird. Der Umstand, dass das Essen nicht sofort auf dem Tisch stand, obwohl wir so früh am Morgen die einzigen Gäste waren, werte ich als durchweg positives Zeichen, was sich auch an der Qualität und im Geschmack des bestellten Essen widerspiegelte. Insbesondere der von mir bestellte Börek war erschreckend leicht und frisch im Geschmack, obwohl dieser in einer großmütterlichen Portion Butter angebraten wurde. Sogar auf Ideen wurde nett eingegangen. Die Gastfreundschaft in diesem Geschäft ist besonders positiv im Gedächtnis geblieben. Die beiden Mitarbeiterinnen, jung und dynamisch) waren bemüht, uns ein gutes Erlebnis zu geben, die netten Gespräche wurden schlussendlich mit einem weiteren Tee aufs Haus belohnt. Der Preis ist absolut fair, für die gute Handarbeit, die in der Küche geleistet wird, ähnelt sogar mehr einer Kalkulation aus dem Imbiss, statt eines Restaurants, was allerdings mehr der schnelllebigen Lage geschuldet ist. Einziges Manko: das Geschäft war keineswegs schmutzig, jedoch waren die Besteckhalter nicht überall aufgefüllt und ein Tisch diente als Kartenablage, ein so kleines Kuddelmuddel ist in kürzester Zeit beseitigt und führt zu einer angenehmeren Wahrnehmung - sofern man das Auge dafür schult. In Summe ein toller Laden, mit frischen Wind auf der Rüttenscheider und noch tolleren Personal. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir gehen hier regelmäßig essen und sind jedes Mal sehr zufrieden. Die Speisen sind immer frisch, lecker und mit viel Sorgfalt zubereitet. Auch auf individuelle Wünsche wird jederzeit freundlich eingegangen. Das Team ist herzlich und zuvorkommend. Wer in Rüttenscheid Bowls, Çiğköfte oder andere Spezialitäten genießen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Klare Empfehlung!

Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Freundlichkeit des gesamten Teams – man wird immer herzlich empfangen und fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Der Service ist aufmerksam und die Atmosphäre angenehm. Wirklich eine Empfehlung!! 🙌🏼 Das Cigköfte hier ist tatsächlich das leckerste, das wir bisher gegessen haben. Empfehlen kann ich vor allem den Cigköfte Wrap! 🌯 Auch die selbstgemachte Linsensuppe ist wirklich super lecker! Toll ist auch, dass hier (fast) alles vegan ist!🌱 Der Inhaber ist zudem sehr sympathisch, sodass wir auf jeden Fall wieder vorbeischauen werden! 🤗

Ich habe heute mit meinem Onkel hier ein leichtes Mittagessen eingenommen. Das Essen war köstlich. Der Besitzer war sehr nett und gastfreundlich und hat uns bei der Auswahl veganer Gerichte geholfen. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ich war heute bei House of Cigköfte und bin wirklich begeistert. Das Personal war sooo freundlich und herzlich, man hat sich direkt wohlgefühlt. Das Ladenlokal ist sehr schön eingerichtet und alles war sauber und angenehm. Mein persönliches Highlight war tatsächlich sogar das Frauen-WC man merkt einfach, dass dort auf Details geachtet wird. Das Essen war perfekt, frisch und mega lecker. Besonders die Mitarbeiter waren sehr fürsorglich, aufmerksam und höflich. Man wurde mit Respekt behandelt und hat gemerkt, dass ihnen die Kunden wichtig sind. Komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Man schmeckt sofort, dass das Essen total frisch zubereitet wird – die Qualität ist top! ​Ein kleiner Hinweis für alle, die wie ich etwas empfindlich sind: Es ist schon ordentlich scharf! Ich habe letzte Woche etwas dort zum abholen bestellt. Den Schnecken Teller und einen Wrap. Beides war soooooo unfassbar lecker und frisch, ich war hin und weg. Dazu kommen die extrem netten Mitarbeiter/ Besitzer dort, die so herzlich sind, besser geht’s nicht. Von mir gibts definitiv eine klare Empfehlung! Absolute Spitze!! Ich komme garantiert !! wieder!

Ich bin aus Großbritannien zu Besuch und meine Freundin hat mich in dieses schöne Restaurant mitgenommen. Die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und haben uns sogar gezeigt, wie man die bestellten Çiğköfte traditionell und modern isst. Das Essen war köstlich, superfrisch und geschmackvoll – ein perfektes Abendessen. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder, wenn ich das nächste Mal in Essen bin!

Very, very tasty cigköfte, it's been a long time since they tasted this good. I'd gladly order again. The price is also quite good. I had menu item number 9.

Good cigköfte. The price is just about right. Side dishes (salad, etc.) could be 30-50% more, though. For example, some items are only enough for two wraps instead of four for the 500g meal. Cigköfte dürum could easily be better if the cigköfte were distributed more evenly. As it is, it doesn't taste as good because of the distribution.

We ordered cigköfte as a midnight snack for our wedding. It was simply outstanding. It was delivered on time, and the owners are incredibly sweet and kind people. We were served several platters of cigköfte, salad, lemons, parsley, mint, pomegranate syrup, and lava bread. It was incredibly delicious and more than enough to last us the next day. I can't recommend the mixed plate (consisting of 5 cigköfte, 5 hot falafel, 2 lemon slices, and 2 mini tubs of pomegranate syrup = €13.50!!!) at all: Cigköfte is traditionally eaten wrapped in a lettuce leaf, drizzled with lemon and sauce. There's nothing there, just the dry ingredients! I've never been served cigköfte without a lettuce leaf and parsley, etc. That's what makes the dish special! When I asked, I was told it was a "quick meal," but the main goal of a meal should be flavor, not to leave half out. In any case, I can only recommend not eating cigköfte or falafel dry on their own, but always with some fresh greens and, ideally, a piece of lavash/bread. Given the hefty price of €13.50 under the "Menu" heading, I assumed that at least the cigköfte would be served on 2-3 lettuce leaves.

I've never eaten such delicious cigköfte! The service and the waitresses were also excellent and very friendly. The atmosphere is fantastic; I'll definitely eat there more often 🤌🏻🤌🏻

I'm absolutely thrilled with this place! The cigköfte are incredibly fresh and flavorful, just as they should be – perfectly seasoned and prepared with love. The lahmacun is crispy, well-topped, and has an authentic flavor you rarely find. And the falafel? Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside – simply heavenly! What really makes this place special, though, is the staff. An incredibly warm and friendly lady who takes her time with each guest, serves with a smile, and simply creates a wonderful atmosphere. The food in Cigköfte tastes really good and the staff is very friendly and generous♥️. I am deaf, but communication with the employees always works well. I've tried other places that aren't as tasty as (House of Çigköfte) so I always order them there. I go there almost always 1 to 3 times a week and order. greeting from the deaf🙌🏽

Unfortunately our visit was disappointing. The Cigköfte tasted ok (my girlfriend didn't like them), although WAY too little for the price of 6 euros, but the perceived false friendliness and the unpleasant discussion about the NeoTaste prices severely spoiled the experience. What was particularly unpleasant was that because of my hearing impairment, which I pointed out, I had the feeling of being considered ‘stupid’ (“can you hear me?”). An offer of tea at the end and exuberant farewells couldn't make up for it.

I rarely write reviews. But I have to give full stars here. Very nice staff and also the best Cigköfte I have ever eaten in Germany. We chose menu 5 and 10 and were completely satisfied. For the price you can't always talk about such good food these days. We'll definitely be back. 👍🏽

We were really pleasantly surprised that all the dishes were vegetarian/vegan, as you couldn't tell from the outside of the shop. We had incredibly delicious vegan lahmacun with cigköfte - even the non-vegetarians were thrilled. The family that runs the shop is really very welcoming and was very happy about our positive feedback on the food. We felt very comfortable and welcome! It is definitely a big recommendation, both for takeaway and for eating on site. We come back regularly!
