We ordered late at night, and while we understand things can get rushed, this was beyond disappointing.
The Biryani was just yellow rice (heavily dyed with turmeric) with some beans tossed on top—no aroma, no spices, no trace of what makes a biryani. Our hands were stained deep yellow, and it took several washes to get it off.
The Chole was equally underwhelming—more like a thin tomato purée with a few chunks of boiled potatoes and, I kid you not, around 17 chickpeas. I actually counted because that’s how few there were.
Please don’t serve food like this under the label of Indian cuisine. It’s not just misleading—it’s insulting to people who know and love the food.
I was at Djadoo for the first time today and I'm thrilled. The ambience, the service and the food are very good. Price-performance ratio is perfect here. I will definitely come back!
My absolute favorite restaurant. The starters and main courses are really incredibly good and change depending on the season. Despite the slightly higher price, we really enjoy coming here (especially on special occasions). I'm already looking forward to the next time!
Authentic Moroccan cuisine in halal quality in a cozy restaurant with a Marrakech ambience feeling. Take your time, at least 1 hour, to fully enjoy the food and leave the stress of everyday life at the entrance to the restaurant. I liked my lamb tagine, which contained lots of vegetables, the fresh homemade Moroccan bread, and the tasty sauce with caramelized onions and raisins that was served on it. As a drink, I recommend the fresh green sweet peppermint tea, which is served in a pot and rounds off the fantastic dish. I'm looking forward to taking a trip to Marrakech with my wife next time and being able to enjoy a tagine again at the Tajine Marrakech in Darmstadt.
The doner kebab tasted okay. There was a bit too much sauce, so the bread quickly went soggy, and there was a bit too little meat. They offer turkey or chicken, but unfortunately, no veal.
