The food is outstanding! You feel very comfortable, the atmosphere is very nice. Table reservation is definitely recommended! Minus point: The service was very friendly, but very slow. We weren't that impressed in terms of price/performance...

This was the second time we were there and the food was delicious again. However, we only go there with a gourmet block, as the price is a bit higher. But it's worth the money and you don't go there every month.

We were here for the first time and received a very friendly welcome. Even without a reservation, we easily got a table. The service was very friendly. The waiting times for the food were perfectly fine. Our food was super tasty. In fact, the food was one of the best we've had so far. The portions were very generous and enough to fill you up even if you were very hungry. We still treated ourselves to dessert, and I have to say it was excellent. 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream, dates with coconut, chocolate soufflé, apple slices, strawberries etc. on a plate. An excellent combination and it was just great. A very clear recommendation from us, you have to eat here at least once.

We were at Djadoo again this evening. Absolutely recommended. The food is delicious and the service exceeds all expectations. Markus in particular deserves special praise. We would love to come back!!!!

Very questionable service. We were offered dessert, there were four of us and we weren't in the mood/hungry. We were then informed that our table now had to be cleared for the next guests and were politely complimented. We were only there for 1(!) hour and won't be coming back.

Very nice oriental designed restaurant, delicious food and very nice and courteous staff! Even our dog wasn't a problem there! The only downside was getting a parking space, but the visit was worth it, highly recommended!

Starter (soup) good Ambience good Main course (chicken with pomegranate sauce) was horrible because the sauce was simply inedible. Service was really bad, lots of little things but the highlight was when I asked “did it taste good?” denied. The waiter says, "You're joking, you enjoyed it"... Simply a very overwhelmed and by no means professional service. Oh, and the invoice creation took another half hour.

Inattentive/unprofessional service, starter good, main course very strangely portioned, a lot of rice, no new cutlery, oriental bread not homemade for a price that is too expensive in my opinion… Waited 25 minutes for the invoice, 3 service people and zero organization:(

Cozy restaurant with Persian food flavor

Excellent food and impeccable service in an oriental atmosphere. Not cheap, but worth it. The portions are very large, so be careful when ordering starters, especially as the staff are very good at "selling".

Everything was great - starting with the location in a traffic-calmed area. Beautiful outdoor area and attentive service. The interior is also very nice, be sure to make a reservation in the evening. Very tasty food, not too spicy but still tasteful and authentic. Price/performance ratio is ok but in the upper segment. We recommend the Djadoo without reservation.

I haven't been this angry in a long time. We waited almost 1 hour for our food. The starter came quite quickly. Oh yes, don't you get new cutlery for the main course?! People who came after us had already paid again and left. Three service staff walked past our table several times. Nobody even thought about why we don't have anything yet. When we received our food after asking several times, we were told there were technical problems. I'm like, why don't you inform the guest? He then, we didn't notice, there was too much to do. I saw that, several times all three service staff stood behind the counter and talked animatedly. That was simply a lie! The food was lukewarm, my chicken was so dry, impossible. The whole dish was overcooked. My companion had almost no meat in the dish. There were supposed to be baked potatoes, they put Pomnes on the sauce! We didn't complain about the food anymore, we wanted to leave as quickly as possible. We felt so uncomfortable. We also declined dessert on the house. The price/performance ratio is not right at all. Nothing like this has ever happened to us at Shiraz, unfortunately it was fully booked. Once and never again, impossible behavior from the service staff.

This was our second time eating at Djadoo. The food was again very tasty, but the service was a bit overwhelmed due to the many guests. First we were assigned the wrong table and we had to move again. We had to wait longer for our drinks, re-ordering bread didn't work either and two dishes were swapped. After everyone had the dish they ordered, it was very tasty again 😋 Due to the large number of guests, it was also very loud and had a bit of a pub atmosphere. We definitely won't be going there on Saturdays anymore.

Value for money not given Service so-so. The request to keep the starter cutlery is the joke of the year and the crowning glory of the service culture. Was it because of the voucher booklet? Then there is no understanding of what the booklet is supposed to be used for. We were here for the first and last time. Eat So far okay. But 0/8/15 we are used to better things. Ambiance Wobbly table and chair legs? With 3 service staff, something like this should be noticed when setting up and something remedied. Especially since there wasn't much going on. Without the voucher my criticism would have been even harsher.

Unfortunately, our evening for two was accompanied by a series of not particularly good experiences. Way too expensive for what you get

Sat in the outdoor area which is beautifully designed. The menu is very extensive and offers a great selection of dishes. The food came very promptly and was beautifully presented. The meat was very tender and the pomegranate sauce was a real treat and tasted well together. The service was very friendly and our dog was also given water without being asked. Absolutely top food. The price-performance ratio is right. Recommended!

Went to Djadoo yesterday for my birthday because I love Persian cuisine. I had already seen that not everything here was rated so well despite the generally very good overall rating. What I unfortunately have to complain about are the dirty tablecloths in the outside area. Dried sauce stains are just not that appetizing. The service, as often mentioned here, was very attentive, but not as friendly as you might be used to. I also know that there is a small greeting from the kitchen at the entrance (even if it's just a few fresh herbs and bread). But you can ignore that in any case. About the main course: My husband's food came to the table steaming and tasted really great. I had Zereshkpolo and the chicken legs were cold, so I had the food warmed up again... Unfortunately, I had already lost my appetite. One leg was also very dry, which irritated me a bit... The salad on the plate was quite stale, although the dressing was good. Conclusion: The price here is simply not right in relation to the quality. The really nice German waiter gave me a €10 voucher at the end because he said that cold meat wouldn't work - but I don't think we'll be back. I'd rather go to Frankfurt. Nevertheless, the compensation was really thoughtful, for which I would like to thank you again. And: Redeeming the gourmet block worked smoothly.

Even though it is a pricy but the food was delicious and oriental. The Service was good and the staff was friendly and nice especially Mr. Amir. Overall, we recommend the restaurant.

A bit boring food. Not very spicy or interesting. A bit pricy compared to what is was. Just meat and rice. Nice terrasse, friendly and fast service.

Djadoo is quite better than Shiraz.

The location is easy to find and easy to find a carpark nearby too. The restaurant is well designed and decorated and the entrance gives you a nice feeling of persian culture. Visiting on a Friday night and sitting outside, we were welcomed by the staffs. The menu is surprisingly extensive and has a nice range of persian dishes and drinks. We ordered Rudbar djooje and the Soltani Chelo with kashkbademjan as appetizers. The dishes were served nicely designed and presented. Rhe djooje was well done although was rather salty and was mixed with lots of champions as sause which we find it rather too much. The lamb kubide was done perfectly and tasted great however the lamb filet was very dry and again salty. The kashkbademjan is definitely worth to try as it was great! Overall is a nice place to visit for some persian food in a nice atmosphere, hope the next time service can be improved and the salt content can be reduced too !

We went to the Djadoo Restaurant for the first time yesterday and had a very nice evening. We found the atmosphere very nice. Although we had reserved a table inside, thanks to the waitress "Macke" (his nickname 😊) we were still able to sit outside, even though all the tables were occupied. I would particularly like to mention his commitment and, above all, his humor. If you want to have a starter and dessert as well as a main course, you should be very hungry, because you don't get small portions. The price-performance ratio is certainly debatable, but since we had a voucher from the gourmet block, the bill wasn't that high for us. We definitely recommend the restaurant and will come back 👍

Everything just fits here! We've been there several times now. Whether inside with an oriental ambience or outside in the beautiful beer garden with traffic calming. The food is lovingly prepared and tastes even better than it looks! The service is very attentive. Makke's service is particularly worth a visit. Attentive, competent and rarely had such good conversation over a meal. We'll definitely be back!!!

The food is great, but for me the price-performance ratio doesn't add up. Meat dishes partly €28 and up and vegetarian/vegan €17 and up. The service was a little overwhelmed by the number of guests, but still very friendly.

We recently tried the lunch buffet and were unfortunately disappointed with the quality. The ghormeh sabzi tasted like an unknown dish, and sabzipolo with cumin is not part of Persian cuisine. Ratatouille also has no place in a Persian kitchen. Overall the quality was very disappointing, although we previously enjoyed dinner here.

Okay, but not the highlight of the year. The service was somehow strange, and the price-performance ratio simply wasn't right. I left there without starter or dessert with over €40 as a single person.

Ich würde uns als Gourmets bezeichnen. D.h. wir haben einige Erfahrung in internationaler und gehobener Küche. Uns schmeckt aber auch der "Döner ums Eck". Da Persisch eher selten ist, haben wir uns nach einiger Überlegung fürs Dajoo entschieden. Ausschlaggebend war die Webseite. Diese ist - ich muss es so deutlich sagen - Fake. Weder die Gerichte, noch das Interieur sehen auch nur ansatzweise so aus, wie auf der Onlinepräsentation. Die Bedienung war freundlich, aber unendlich langsam - wir haben 15 Minuten auf Getränke gewartet. Generell wirkten alle her unmotiviert. Aber das Schlimmste war das Essen. Teilweise wirklich eklig, mit starken Bitternoten. Das Mittagsbuffet als "überschaubar" zu bezeichnen ist ein Euphemismus. Da waren 6 oder 7 Gerichte auf den Rechauds und als "Nachtisch" eine Schüssel Schokopudding (!) aus dem Aldi. Klassisch persisch würde ich sagen. Das beste waren noch die Cocktails mit Granatapfelkomponente und Minze. Und das Ganze für stramme 90 €...wow...hätten wir vorher mal unsere Nachbar gefragt. Die haben vor einem Jahr exakt die gleiche Erfahrung gemacht und werden dort sicher nie mehr hin gehen...so do we. Das nächste mal lieber ein ECHTER Perser, gerne für 20 € mehr in FFM...da solls sowas geben.

Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be. 1. Where has all the workforce that existed before gone? I know one waiter from before, but the rest seem to have been replaced. I could be wrong and I've had a strange day. 2. I'm sorry but I have to say something to the young waiter with the bun: My girlfriend and I felt uncomfortable because of him. He behaved very pushy and often expressed himself in a grumpy way, for example asking several times within a short period of time and then actually saying "What about the main course" when asked for the third time. We just wanted to spend time there in peace and not swallow everything down. Extremely unfortunate and doesn't fit the image I had of this restaurant for years. 3. Food is still tasty but no longer up to the level I'm used to from you. Saffron rice?!? no longer deserves the name. Aperitif delicious but way too sweet. Somehow the love and balance is missing here, prices are rising everywhere but I'm no longer willing to pay for what is delivered. It's a shame, you've been one of my favorite restaurants for the last 10 years. I won't be coming back for a while.

The most perfect and best Persian restaurant that I had seen so far after 23 years of living in Germany. I drove from Frankfurt to Darmstadt specifically to experience this Persian ambience. It was probably worth it and we were very satisfied and surprised. The service was great, especially Kasra, the waiter, who not only looked after us very well, but also looked after all the guests very politely. Thank you for this excellent day The food was great and great. Of course the corresponding prices were also quite higher than in Frankfurt or Cologne but, the food was of 1 A quality!!!

At the end of April we had dinner at Djadoo with 5 people (based on a recommendation). The restaurant is beautifully designed and we were given a comfortable seat in a niche. The service was super friendly and accommodating, especially Markus Urbansky :-) and we immediately felt very comfortable. The menu offers a very large selection of food, even for newcomers to Persian cuisine :-) We had a starter, main course and dessert. Everything was well prepared and very tasty. The dishes are higher priced but the quality is very good and the price/performance ratio is right. The visit was absolutely worth it and we definitely recommend it 👍

It's a shame - unfortunately I have to downgrade my original rating of 5 stars years ago. It was our favorite restaurant for a while - the waiters have become more pushy for a while now and unfortunately the food doesn't taste as fantastic as it did at the beginning. You now pay almost €10 for a bottle of water and are asked to pay before the end of the booked time slot because the table has been given away. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio is no longer right.

The restaurant is located directly on Viktoriaplatz and there were many free parking spaces here on Easter Saturday. When we entered we were greeted by a beautiful and well-kept oriental ambience. We had already made a reservation and were assigned a table in the middle of the aisle and in front of the counter, even though everything was still free. We didn't like this and asked if we could get the table next to it by the window. The waiter had to check first and only then gave his okay. Even when we left, 30% of the tables were still unoccupied. It's incomprehensible to me that the better tables aren't given to guests with reservations first. First we had a mixed appetizer platter for two people that included all the appetizers that could also be ordered individually. This is highly recommended, very tasty and diverse. The same waiter who had assigned the table at the beginning also made a faux pas this time. Although we had both put our cutlery on our used plates, a clear sign that we didn't want to use it for the next course, the waiter asked us to take the cutlery off the plate so that we could use it for the next course. We left the behavior uncommented, but it was very unprofessional and an absolute no-go in the Djadoo's price range. Meanwhile, another waiter had started his service and served us excellently until the end of our visit. The main course also left nothing to be desired and tasted excellent. At the end we had two more mochas, a real treat. Conclusion: The food was excellent, not exactly cheap, but understandable considering the elaborate preparation in Persian cuisine. Depending on the employee, the service left an ambivalent impression. The restaurant management should do a little training on the details here. Nevertheless, all in all a successful evening.

The ambience, the service staff and the quality of the food and drinks convince me. The food is very tasty and varied. I've been there several times and can say that the quality has been consistently good and doesn't depend on the day. I would also give 5 stars if it weren't for the outrageously high prices for a bottle of water. 8€/bottle is already enormous. Personally, I have a problem with beer (alcohol) being cheaper than a spritzer.

We were there for dinner on Saturday with 6 people. The reserved table was confirmed but had to be pushed together (unprepared), the food was a disaster, everything looked the same, nothing tasted good, the meat was tough, nothing was right! I had my plate returned (which I really hate to do and actually never do..) There was no apology from the service or kitchen, nor the question of whether I could prepare something else, no comment. The waiter Markus was nice, the rest of the service was very unfriendly and sometimes insulting, I have NEVER experienced anything like that before. It's just very disappointing!

Handwerkliche Fehler bei Ghorme Sabzi ( Fleisch war trocken) und bei Tschelo Sultani (Lammrücken gegart statt angegrillt), Borani (Joghurt mit Spinat) war Spinat nicht rauszuschmecken, insgesamt bemüht, kam aber nicht an persisches Orginal ran. Service bei bestimmten Fragen inhaltlich (auch sprachlich) nicht auf dem Level, wie man es erwarten könnte. Verhalten vom Service bemüht, allerdings wenig freundlich. Preise stark gestiegen, 2 Hauptspeisen, 1 Vorspeisenplatte ( nicht zu empfehlen), 2 x Joghurt als Vorspeise, 1 Glas Rotwein, 1 Fl. Wasser, 1 Bier, 1 Grappa + 2 Apfelsaft = 145 Euro.

Craftsmanship errors with Ghorme Sabzi (meat was dry) and with Tschelo Sultani (skin of lamb cooked instead of grilled), Borani (yoghurt with spinach) spinach could not be tasted, overall tried hard, but didn't come close to the Persian original. Service for certain questions in terms of content (including language) is not at the level that one might expect. Service behavior tried hard, but not very friendly. Prices have risen sharply, 2 main courses, 1 starter platter (not recommended), 2 x yoghurt as a starter, 1 glass of red wine, 1 bottle. Water, 1 beer, 1 grappa + 2 apple juice = 145 euros.

The six of us had dinner last night. The food was extremely bad because each of us ordered something different and everything looked the same. The rice was cold, the beef skewer was like chewing gum. And the absolute hammer was...the service was very rude and insulting! But not the German waiter. Is NOT recommended!!! We will never eat at this restaurant again.

The Djadoo is definitely worth recommending in Darmstadt, especially in summer with a beautiful terrace. The service and food are almost always excellent and the journey to the Orient even works through the wine list. The only drawback is the composition, the starters are quite large and relatively expensive and if you want to go for three courses, not only is the price and quantity relatively high, but you often also have a recurring component, e.g. a salad. It's not an issue so far, it's on the menu, but at this level I would welcome a more thoughtful combination, or perhaps a direct menu. But just try it out for yourself 😊. Only arriving by car could be complicated here, as parking spaces are rare.

Like the Shiraz on Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt from the same operator/owner, but a little nicer because it is located in the quiet Johannesviertel (residential). The same applies here: on weekdays except public holidays, order the lunch buffet and a glass of dough. Try wonderful, varied dishes at the buffet and let yourself be seduced by the spices of the Orient. Dear guests of Darmstadt, try it out instead of getting ripped off in the tolerable Tourinepp on the market square 🤗

Four of us ate there. The appetizer, drinks and food came relatively quickly. But the waiters checked with us every 5 minutes. It was so annoying that we couldn't talk to each other; we had the feeling that the waiters were already sitting at our table. In the 90 minutes they came to our table what felt like 50 times and I found it very unpleasant to ask during the meal whether it was tasty. We felt like we should sit down and pay and then leave. We can eat at home, which is the feeling we were given. The fact that the food is served very unappetizing is also a no-go. Getting such an extremely high bill for 4 people is also incomprehensible. The water in the bottle is also tap water. The bottle comes open on the table. But the money is also good. The taste is a 3+ but never again. The guest is cheated out of his money.

There is delicious Persian food and great service here. The portions that are served are more than adequate - a good price-performance ratio. However, the parking situation is difficult. However, the large parking lot at the waste-to-energy plant and that of Tegut and Bürger King are not far away if you are not afraid of a short walk.

This restaurant is simply a taste experience in a special ambience. Very friendly service at the table. It was very busy and always friendly without stress. We'll be back 😀😀

Very interesting restaurant, the starter platter was incredibly good. The service was also present and competent. We will definitely go to this restaurant again. The only personal downside: the main courses have combinations that depend on individual taste (plum sauce). Lunch buffet, unfortunately there was only lamb, no other meat to choose from. I like to eat vegetarian. It was also very one-sided with 1x vegetable mix and dips with salad. I also missed some bread. The taste was delicious. If you like tea, you definitely have to try the jasmine tea with real jasmine flowers.

The best Persian buffet I have ever tasted. The staff are super nice and there is an English menu available if you scan the qr code.

The food was fresh and of good quality. But anyone with Persian roots would be disappointed. Djadoo have Europeanized every meal, and that's what they serve. In every Persian restaurant it is tradition to start with starters “on house”: bread, sheep cheese and “sabzi”. They have removed it or integrated it into the menu and are charging extra for it. The traditional desserts like Persian suffron ice cream and faloode are served with irrelevant ingredients like passion fruit or physalis. If you're German, it's probably okay or doesn't matter, but if a Persian looks for Persian food, you understand what it means.
